Will there be an update to the Chasing Dragons fic??? I've reread it four times, and I simply adore your writing and would love to see more!

I know this is years old but I took it down briefly from A03 because I got a LOT of hate from it. But don't worry, I still have the whole thing in Googledocs and I will reupload soon! I do have a little more I wrote ages ago, and I will try to get that posted at least!

Thoughts on the ending of Voltron?

Hey there Anon.To be honest, I’ve been so incredibly crazy busy with work and getting myself sick that I’ve barely had time to think of it until it popped up last night. I was too sick to stay up to watch it so I just resolved to follow up in the morning with the rest of the fandom and see what happened.And I guess I am really disappointed and bummed out. No, I am not going to throw a fit and I would NEVER encourage any sort of hatred, rage, or anything cruel to any shippers / the production crew out there at all. But right now I have too much to do and I am not going to spend the time watching what I know is going to sort of break my heart. I am not going to say I was baited, or feel betrayed or anything. I just really got my hopes up and in the end, it didn’t happen. I honestly thought Voltron might be different...but it just wasn’t. It could have been Dreamworks, it could have been some random execs, it could have been that this was always how it was meant to be, I don’t know and I’m not going to delve into it any further.

While I was looking for something to distract me from the wait for the last season, I found My Hero Academia and found myself really drawn in to the fantastic writing and the surprisingly in depth exploration of what it means to give your all, to be a hero, to give to others, and all sorts of other deep metaphysical discussions on a variety of subjects. It really cheered me up while I was fretting over what would happen and I think that’s where I will turn to next. I highly recommend it to all of my followers. I think there is something for everyone among all the colourful and beautiful characters and lots of personal lessons that can be learned. It reminded me fondly of the deeper aspects of Voltron and a lot of the reasons I was really drawn in by the Paladins as well. If you wind up checking this out, feel free to hit me up. I’ll probably make a blog for art and stuff, otherwise you can find it on my main blog.

As for wrapping up with Voltron, I honestly have no intention of watching the last season until some time in the future, if ever. I don’t want to sound disrespectful to the creators’ time and energy and talent, but I just don’t want the heartache right now. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m leaving the community as I have met a lot of wonderful friends and I really adore so much of the talent, love, and creativity that has been shared out there. But I’ve also been so busy that I’ve barely been around for the last few months anyway, so I also feel guilty in that I haven’t really contributed much recently anyway. So I’ll be around, and I’m not taking the blog down or anything for those who still enjoy my old articles and all the amazing art and writing I’ve reblogged through the years. But I don’t have a lot of motivation to continue the stories or in depth discussions. We got our answer and it just wasn’t what I was hoping for.

But hey, chin up and keep smiling. Whether or not this was what we wanted, this still brought a lot of people together, helped create so much art and friendship and other beautiful things that it isn’t like there is nothing but massive loss. So I’m going to thank Voltron and the crew for what they gave me still and I am going to keep marching to the other things that light my passion and help keep me smiling.

Soul of Atlas

So I’ve had this idea running around in my head for awhile. What if /all/ of the ships/machines in Voltron were all biomechanical robeast like things? All last month I have been working on many of these designs in my spare time for a master post. But in the meantime, have an ink piece for Inktober!

The dawn slunk in, dusky and grey. Shiro could feel it even without opening his eyes.The acrid scent of cigarette smoke filled the air but with it came something more pleasant underneath. It was the smell of damp earth, silent stretches of unbroken snow and the old ashes of a burned out fire. Cracking an eye open, he breathed in deeply of the strangely comforting cacophony of smells and was met with two burning red orbs. A languid smile curled over Keith’s lips. “Certainly the best sight I’ve woken up to in awhile.” the demon purred, though he sounded genuine. “Was it good for you too, Feathers?” Shiro sighed, but there was no point in lying. “Yes.”

I am still madly in love with @lightningstrikes-art and @pining-sheith ‘s Sheith SPN AU. Had this randomly pop into my head while at work and had to draw it and write the scene snippet.

Also my first attempt at painting smoke. I think it turned out alright~

Edit: Yes, those are the shadows cast by Shiro’s wings on the wall behind Keith~

Never Make a Deal with a Dragon

With his leads turning into dead ends and corpses, Detective Takashi Shirogane realizes that he has plunged into a violent conspiracy way over his head and that he is running out of time. If he ever wants to unravel the shadow games that plague his beloved city, he's going to have to be willing to bend the rules and turn to strange bedfellows to prevent mutual destruction.

And none are stranger than the volatile and enigmatic Keith Kogane, sole heir to the Mafia family that has held an iron grip in the area since time immemorial. Shiro would much rather see the young crime lord behind bars than at his side, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Despite the detective's best efforts, Keith seems to have taken a liking to him, something that has proved both useful as well as garnered him the ridicule of half the precinct. But despite his sarcastic wit and aloof nature, Keith is frighteningly clever and ruthlessly dangerous. Bargaining with him will meaning dancing with the devil and dealing with dragons. But if Shiro plays his cards right, perhaps he'll take out two birds with one stone in the process of solving this mystery. It's not like the younger Kogane means anything to him.

After seeing their amazing Mafia AU art, I felt my muse strike and asked them if I could write for this. Months later, I finally pulled this together through all the craziness with work and the rest of that silly thing called life. Chapter 2 is already almost finished and yes, there WILL BE SMUT. So RL has been keeping me ridiculously busy between being called into work every five seconds, some health problems, financial fun stuff and blah blah. So major apologies to late posts and VERY late replies on things. It’s not so much that I haven’t had time that when I DO have time, I mostly just roll over and slither back under the covers for another thousand year sleep. On the plus side, art has been very therapeutic, and I’m allowed to doodle at work when I have spare time. So I actually have a very fun Voltron surprise coming up with a whole bunch of art.

For those who’ve stuck around and all my new followers, thanks! I still have a lot of great articles if you haven’t read them yet, and I’m hoping to get some more out when we get our first preview of s8.
