Asra is skeptical of people whose houses are so clean and minimal that there are no signs of personality or the house being lived in

Is a home without any knick-knacks, throw pillows, plants, or crystals even a home?  He’s not sure.

Every one of the plants and crystals you both own has a name.  

The basil plant is Calypso, his monstera deliciosa is Niobe, and your flourite wand is Vesta

He frequents junk sales, flea markets, and weird little gift shops everywhere he goes, and always comes back with something for you

Some of his personal favorite travel finds: the tiniest wooden fox figurine he’s ever seen (it’s bright red, with teensy floral details), a shell inlay box that you bought him during a trip several years ago, and that gigantic quartz cluster that he keeps on his shelf in Nopal (her name is Athena)

None of your shared dinnerware matches.  Every plate, cup, and piece of cutlery is different, it’s all ~charmingly mismatched~

Asra has a thing for pieces that have clearly been broken at some point and have obvious signs of repair.  His favorite teacup has a giant, visible crack that was filled in with gold.

He doesn’t just buy items that clutter the apartment, he makes them, too

Masks, figurines, trinkets; he still likes to sell his wares at festivals, and all that stuff has to go somewhere for the time being (half of it is in Nopal)

On some level, he’s aware that you have way too many pillows, but this one has a palmistry hand embroidered on it and just look at the color of this velvet

You have to physically restrain him from buying a beaded curtain for every doorway in the shop

All of his stuff is so mixed up with yours that there are times when he genuinely forgets what belongs to whom

Conclusion: dating Asra is like dating a magpie with fluffy hair
