Some “Joe Lived Instead Of Sara AU But He’s Pissed At The Group” AU Headcanons

(Based On My Post The Other Day.)

- During the first main game, Joe is keymaster, and Sara is the sacrifice. 

- After the first main game, Joe stumbles off alone to the bar. Reko offers to go with him to make sure he’s okay, and Joe goes off on the group for letting Sara die after she acted as their leader. He swears to figure out how she got the sacrifice card, before telling everyone to give him space. 

- For the most part, everyone does what he asked of them. Except for Keiji who knows how hard it can be to loose someone you care about. When Joe see’s Keiji approaching him with an offer of mentorship, he looses it. He’s the most angry at Keiji (and Shin) out of everyone. He put the most pressure on Sara to be leader, and then let her down. Keiji of course knows this, and wants to make things right by helping Joe, but he understands that he can’t assist Joe if he doesn’t want it from him. 

- Joe doesn’t hold much of a grudge against Gin or Kanna because their age. Escpessally when he sees how much Sara’s death affects them both. 

- While Joe does fall for Shin’s amnesia scheme, he still can’t forgive him memory or not. He’s determined to figure out why Shin would want to target his best friend, and the group wants to help him. 

- Joe is furious when he sees Rio wearing Sara’s blazer. He hates the idea of Sara’s clothing being worn by the same people who took her life. It’s all he can think about every time he see’s Rio’s face. 

- When Reko enters the room of lies, she takes Nao with her instead of Joe, as she knows Joe isn’t in the state to be maneuvering risky situations. When it comes time to push the Reko doll, it’s Joe’s lowest point up to this point. He either gives into his apathy for the group and doesn’t push the doll, or he gives into his anger and shoves the doll in a rage. In the route he pushes the doll, he’s angry that the group has to make yet another sacrifice.

- During the second main game, you can either go really dark with this AU or keep it similar to the main game in canon. It depends how much you want or think Joe would go off the deep end after Sara’s death. Either something similar to the actual main game could happen, where Joe votes with his hatred for Shin or keeps Shin alive in an attempt to benefit the group, or another scenario could happen. Joe could vote with his hatred in both scenarios. He could vote for Shin out of hatred, or vote for Kanna because Shin took away someone he loved. An eye for an eye. That’s the darkest scenario possible of course. 

- Joe is a lot more comfortable around the dolls than the other participants. He’s glad to have someone new by his side that wasn’t there during the first main game. It’s the closest thing he has to a new start. 

- In the emotion route, Joe and Ranmaru grow to be good friends, and the dolls begin to remind Joe how good it is to have an ally. In the logic route, Joe remains apathetic, even when Ranmaru admits he’s willing to kill the others to escape. It leads to Ranmaru killing Reko/Alice with the intention of giving Joe hope to escape. Again depending on how dark you want this AU to get, Joe could either feel remorse for Reko/Alice’s death and admit that he wants to be closer to his allies, or he could still remain apathetic about the entire situation.

Here’s a question, when was this picture of Shin taken? You can see the red of his scarf, which means this picture should have been taken sometime after Sou’s “death”. But if that were the case, who took this picture?

My friends and I were talking about Kai earlier today and we find it weird that it has never said anything about "Kai Satou Has Expired" anywhere when he died, like we first hand saw this man commit but we never saw that message, is Kai really on our side or is he just trying to fool around with us, what if Kai Satou son of Gashu and Sara's bodyguard is actually alive. I might post some more about this theory later but this really got me thinking.

Quick thought, has anyone found out ranmarus cause of death in the first trial? I'm genuinely curious if we know Nankidai he doesn't leave details like that hidden without reason, so could ranmarus death actually be even more important then we originally thought.

My Prediction For Who Will Have Which Card In The Final Main Game

Sara - Sage. It’s the only card we haven’t seen in her possession yet. 

Shin/Kanna - Keymaster. Shin would almost have to be the keymaster to be a detriment character. Because if Keiji, Sara, or Gin has to choose between the four of them, they will choose Shin unless they absolutely couldn’t. It would also be a good callback to the first main game, where he pretended to be the keymaster. For Kanna, it would lock in her position as a safe character since I don’t think anyone would vote for her anyway. 

Alice/Reko - Commoner. They’ve had commoner for every main game so far, and I think the same rules will apply. 

Keiji - Commoner. I think he’ll be the one voted for in both routes. He’s the most suspicious left in the emotion route, and in the logic route, I think he’d sacrifice himself for Sara or Gin. 

Gin - Sacrifice. I don’t think there will be a traditional third main game in the emotion route, but in the logic route, I think this will kill him off. Shin doesn’t want Gin dead, as shown by how scared he was when Gin was in the coffins. And Keiji and Sara wouldn’t vote for him. I think he’ll be killed along with Keiji so that Shin and Sara can be the final two who have to decide which one becomes a doll.
