Okay another Hijack AU! idea. Immortal winter spirit Jack and the constantly reincarnating Hiccup.

Jack Frost is still the same. He died as a human then the moon turned him into a winter spirit. While Hiccup is just a human who remember his past lives memories. The Angst is that every time Hiccup recovers his memories it's not too long before he dies and the cycle starts again.

Perhaps it was fate but Jack and Hiccup tend to meet a lot in Hiccup's many past life even if Hiccup doesn't remember it yet while Jack doesn't even know that this is the reincarnation of someone he used to know. However, he keeps on having dejavu every time he meets Hiccup's reincarnation.

The cycle is eventually broken when Hiccup dies a final time and he got turned into a spirit before his cycle of reincarnation begin again.

Map of Berk

Credit to DanGref on DA for the larger map of Berk, I believe it was taken from one of the games - I usually say that those are Dubious Canon but since we have nothing else and it looks pretty close I'm including it on my map.

I made a better map of Berk, hopefully it's understandable? There's a couple of problems with it:

for one, Gobber's house in "Legend of the Boneknapper" is the same house as Snotlout & Spitelout's in "Race to Fireworm Island" ???? - so I left it as Gobber's since it's close to his Smithy and I'm putting the Shorts in a higher category of Canon than the shows I guess?

Astrid's house in "Team Astrid" is the same as the Armoury in "In Dragons We Trust" ???? - so I left it as the Armoury since it's seen in multiple episodes as "The Armoury" and Astrid's house is burned down.

Aaand I couldn't find the path to the Academy/Arena so I left it blank.

I would've liked to put things like The Cove, Bucket & Mulch's farm, the Path to Gothi's Hut, and the Beaches that they keep visiting onto the map, but there never seems to be a solid spot of any of them, so I'm presuming they're too far away to be on this map.

Since I came back to OP and read the Manga, make a whole worldbuilding become a new necessity. Not all of my one shots are really deep, but those aus that I find a potential have all the knowledge I've ever learn about OP and Oda.

Idk, but for me, creating my own characters and history is not as fun as creating fanfics about my otp. I do lov Hijack and as long as Im still alive, I wil ALWAYS put my heart n soul in my aus of those twinks 😌✨️

I probably put way too much thought into it but I do enjoy making a more in depth story rather than winging it. I like to actually think about the worldbuilding, make sure things actually connect and make sense. I am a big history nerd and I feel like it's the closest I can get to writing my own history.

Hiccup having Grimmel tear his physical and metaphorical wings off, losing Toothless, when Hiccup himself has no hope of ever flying again despite having the soul of a dragon-

I remember what Gobber said in the first movie;

"A downed dragon is a dead dragon."

All I can imagine is how hopeless and depressed Hiccup became. How living became a chore, being Chief was a punishment, getting married made everything worse in retrospect.

Toothless submitting his soulmate, brother, true kin, to that fate and regretting it immediately.
