I keep wondering what 124ji would do if sanji decides to continue adventuring with the strawhats despite starting a relationship with them. On one hand, they'd be pissy because they only just got sanji back, but here he is leaving them again. On the other hand, Sanji values his freedom a lot, and they know they'll just upset him if they make him stay.

It kind of feels like a long-distance relationship in a way. 124ji continues to travel since Germa is always moving, and Sanji continues his adventures on the 4 seas to chase his dream. Their only contact is through den den mushis, letters, and any news coverage on the Strawhats (124ji start to collect Sanji's bounty posters and newspaper clippings :))

Sanji looks forward to the day he finds the All Blue and invites his brothers over to finally be with him. ;)

Ok like, imagine them putting the pictures and articles up their walls, like some kind of infatuated teenagers 😭😭 it's just so cute I can't 😭 judge would be reading the newspaper in the morning and they'd practically leap over the table as soon as he puts it down, it's just embarrassing from everyone involved

They get their hands on a video denden mushi of sorts, sanji too, and they video call each other. Sanji's eyes immediately land on his face plastered all over the wall and he's both terrified and flattered. Is is becoming an obsession? Should he be concerned? He likes the attention tho, it should be fine right? He should tease them about it even, maybe ask if they want him to send them a signed poster, it's not like 124ji can do anything to him in return as they're too far away (little does sanji know they don't forget this little stunt and eventually take their revenge when they finally move in with him 👀)

Is it bad that I want to read a fic where 124ji take care of a kid?

Maybe there was a lost child during one of their battles and this child started following them? They tried to shoo it away and niji was already raising a fist but reiju stopped him at the last second

They all looked at each other and silently decided they had to keep this a secret from judge

Niji shook reiju's arm away and lowered his own to hold the kid's hand, acting like that'd been his intention all along as not to startle the kid even more

They find a secluded room for the kid in the castle and figure that should be enough, right?

Wrong.

They have no idea how to take care of a kid. Reiju's only help is to say they should probably feed it, but other than that they're clueless

They look at each other again and sigh

Maybe they should try giving sanji a call, it's not like this situation can get any worse

What if sanji died in germa and his ghost stayed there

The straw hats still cross paths with the whole big mom mess somehow and sanji is intrigued (and concerned) by their group, mainly because they managed to survived this long on the grand line without a cook??

Nothing ties him to germa (he just had nowhere else to go before) so he decides this is his time to leave

In the years he's been dead he's had plenty of time to learn how to cook, so he's confident they'll accept him on board

Except, yes, he's dead and no one can see him

He jumps when he hears a melodic "nice to meet you, sanji-san" and jumps again when he notices it came from a skeleton

Brook introduces himself then turns to the crew to explain the situation to them

They accept sanji without thinking twice, luffy in particular seems especially excited to have an actual ghost as a crewmate, and as a cook even! He couldn't have asked for anything better!!

He bonds with the rest of the crew just as easily and they all fall in love with his cooking

Some of his interactions with them constantly bring smiles to his face just thinking about them

Zoro found a way to train with him, kinda, saying it's a challenge to fight someone he can't see (sanji giggles to himself, because it's not like zoro would be able to hit him, but he humors him and wishes the swordsman could see and feel how powerful his kicks are in turn)

Robin said she'd do research about his situation, maybe there's a way to bring him back if he's been in this state for so long (or maybe he's just doomed to spend the whole eternity aimlessly floating through the seas, to which he twirled and thanked her for her wise words)

Franky and usopp teamed up to create an invention that'd allow everyone to see him somehow (they haven't been successful yet but sanji's thankful for their effort and brings them extra snacks when they're working)

Nami kept him company in the early hours of the morning, when she couldn't sleep thinking about her mother. They sat together at the table and sanji grabbed a pencil and notepad, sharing his story with her (after luffy, he owed him as much, she was the second person he did it to)

Chopper told him he'd do his best to take care of him even if he couldn't see or touch him, to which sanji replied he didn't expect less from the best doctor in the world! Chopper wiggled and called him a bastard and he couldn't do anything but laugh heartily

Sanji loves and appreaciates them so much, he just wishes they could see the fond look in his eyes every time he watches them

But since they can't, he hopes his food is enough to convey it to them
