Fic rec wwii era Alan Scott and Namor being total bitchy queens at each other because Namor doesn't like the attention Alan gets from Jim Hammond and Alan jealous that Jay Garrick keeps challenging Namor to friendly wing boot races across the surface of every large body of water they come across. Just Alan and Namor acting cuntish and petty because they don't want to share their favorite oblivious straight boy sweethearts.

Hank is the kid of one of the JSA's worst/most commonly appearing villains and a minor superheroine that people don't really care that much about in universe. I guess he's like... what if the Joker had a kid with Stephanie Brown, except with powers.

On the same day that the other Infinitors show up to try to force the JSA members to let them into the JSA, Hank also shows up, although he doesn't really ever indicate that his goal IS to join despite what the fandom says. He mostly wants their help with stopping the Ultra-Humanite, who finds him to be the most annoying person alive according to their interactions.

He starts off having a kind of bad relationship with his dad because his mom died when he was a kid (his mom did not die when he was a kid) of a broken heart, and he blames his dad for it, but the relationship gets a lot better when his Dad decides to side with him against the Ultra-Humanite, but then immediately dies trying to protect him, and ends up giving Hank all of his powers as he dies. To leave him something of a legacy, and so he can do good with them.

While with Infinity Inc. he dates Jade, and the relationship is cute, but Todd attempts to cockblock at every opportunity, and he generally is a sweetheart, but with occasional appearances of an illusion of his dad that pops up and talks to him, which is kind of an indication that his mental health isn't necessarily great, and after his Uncle gets murdered, he quits the team, and he ends up going into a downward spiral that ends with him fighting Captain Atom's Justice League during a breakdown.

Alan Scott, who is the world's biggest bitch, swoops in at this point to fund???? an asylum????? where he is experimented on because of his powers????? and is implied to be essentially trapped there on drugs until he dies?????? No one in the fandom likes this. Also Todd tries to kill him. I think more people in the fandom might like that.

He either breaks out or gets broken out, and Black Adam puts Mister Mind in his head, and Mister Mind then puppets his body while also eating his brain, and apparently after the JSA beat the Black Reign team Mister Mind ate away at the growth in his head and this "cures" him. The JSA is like "yeah we'll send him to live with his mom" who it turns out is alive, and we don't actually ever get to see Hank's revelation to the fact that the parent he thought died when he was a kid was actually alive.

Also at some point he left the country when no one was paying attention and started living with a drug cartel. Hank has... no normal plots.

Basically he is a very tragic boy who has been hurt by the people he loves and I am invested in him getting to be happy, but he is currently being kidnapped and tortured again so I don't think that's likely.
