NPC Life is the best
(Genshin Impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
part5 —> part6
——————————————————
The light from the morning sun trickles between the cracks of the drawn curtains, waking you from your deep slumber. That was probably the best sleep you’ve gotten in ages! Must’ve been from all the walking you did the day prior. Glancing over at the well made bed stand, you remember that you were currently in the hospitality of Mr. Diluc himself. Slipping out of bed, you go into the restroom to start your day.
After cleaning yourself and dressing into your now clean clothing that Adeline had magically made shiny, you stretch with a satisfied smile as your appearance was put together one more.
you grab your magical bag and slip on your shoes before heading out the door. When you finally reach the first floor, you can tell that there is a presence lacking inside the manor. Turning around you see Adeline and another maid talking amongst themselves. Curious, you approach them.
“is somthing wrong?” You ask Adeline curiously.
“no no, everything is fine. Master Diluc is out on a short trip to Springvale so if you’d like to talk to him in person you’ll have to wait for a bit” Adeline kindly informs you. “Do you need to speak with him?”
shaking your head you sheepishly reply “not really, I just wanted to thank him again for allowing me to stay at dawn winery. But seeing as though he’s busy right now, I’ll just leave him a thank you note.”
Adeline smiles in agreement before going over to the small desk placed on the left wing of the manor. Returning, she hands you a piece of paper, a quill, and a small bottle of ink.
thanking Adeline quietly, you bring your supplies to the dinner table at the center of the living room. After a bit of thinking you finally finish drafting up your short thank you note.
dear Diluc,
thank you for your hospitality and kindness. I know it won’t be everyday that I get treated so nicely, so I’m happy to say that yesterday was great! Please remember to take care of yourself, and don’t forget to get lots of sleep.
from Y/n.
smiling with pride , you leave your amazingly written note with Adeline who promises to get it to Diluc as soon as he is home. after thanking Adeline for her hospitality, you step out of the manor to the crisp air of grapes and nature. Hmm where to next?
if you want to follow the story it would be, Mondstadt to Liyue, Liyue to Inazuma, Inazuma to Sumeru, and Sumeru to Fontaine. Tapping your bag lightly, you decide to just follow the traveler’s path since you’ll at least know your way through that.
the sun has risen but it is still early in the morning which means you might get to wangshu inn before nightfall. Might. Though you are an adult, your fear of the dark has never really gone away. Before hand, you were in the lit city of Mondstadt and after that you were in the protection of the Darknight Hero. So in all honesty, you’ve never truly walked alone at night in this world before.
shivering slightly at the thought, you push those thoughts at the back of your mind as you begin walking down the path to Stone Gate.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
After a calm walk you spot the towering mountains and find yourself finally at stone gate! Smiling with new found energy, you make your way down to the wooden platform housing a small tea stall and other such things. Your eyes graze over the tea menu as you make your way down the wooden steps and back onto the gravely path. Although you know that the small tea stall was made for travelers to rest at, it was quite hard to forget your tight time schedule.
the sun had slightly shifted its position to one that seems to resemble a little over mid day and that was enough of a reason for you to quicken your steps. There could be slimes blocking the path or treasure hunters lurking the area to steal anyone’s goods.. that uncertainty made it your quickening steps all the more reasonable.
You find yourself drawn to the scenery of things but quickly remind yourself of the important task at hand. Your speedy feet manage to get you to dihua marsh quite quickly and you decide to give it a quick stop to admire the statue of the seven. Wiping away a little sweat that had accumulated on your forehead, you step up the aged stone steps to come face to face with the statue of Liyue’s beloved deity. Well, former deity but you get the point. It’s a wonder to you how people don’t see the striking resemblance between Zhongli and the human statue of Rex Lapis.
The stone of the statue looked so smooth and the features of Rex Lapis and um his rock hard abs were very captivating. What would happen if you touched a statue of the seven? Would you get powers like the traveler or would you alert the archon about you presence.. those 50/50 odds were not one you wanted to test so you decided to keep your hands from grazing the smooth stone.
Stepping back onto path you can’t help but feel a pair of watching eyes staring at you. Looking around you find nothing but the sound of chirping birds and playful slimes that for some reason aren’t bothered by your presence. maybe it was just your paranoia.
warily turning back to the path you find your steps to be more careful than they were before. The little voice in your head tells you that there is someone there, someone watching. But you tell yourself to be unbothered by the invisible gaze as you continue down the path.
another hour has passed and it seems that your fretting was for naught as the sun still looms in the sky when you approach the magnificent Wangshu Inn! You didn’t think it be such a game changer to see the tree building in person but seeing it as it is now is surly something to put on a bucket list. You finally let loose as the bustling sounds of people wandering about brings you the relaxing thought that you are no longer alone.
Stepping onto the wooden deck at the foot of Wangshu inn, you look around to see many tables, crates, and small stalls dotting the area. The smell of Liyue cuisine brought a smile to your face and a low groan from your belly. Right.. you hadn’t eaten since yesterday and now with the delicious smells wafting in the air you would understand your stomach’s impatience.
plopping down at a bamboo table set up for guests and diners, you look at the menu with wonder. Shrimp sounds good.. ooo but so does bamboo shoot soup.. mmm and crab sounds delicious.. too many to choose!
you continue looking at the menu before deciding to order the stir fry shrimp and almond tofu. After your waiter jots down your order you find yourself able to look around at the scenery. Calming waters, pretty trees, yellow plains, and green mountains drew the scenery. You never thought you’d be able to see a thing like this, but here you are.
as you stay lost in thought looking at the peaceful scenery, a graceful figure quietly approaches you.
“May I sit here?”

NPC Life is the best
(Genshin Impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
part4 —> part5 —> part6
——————————————————
Sinking into the bathtub, you sigh happily as you finally take a much needed bath. All that moving in one day sure is exhausting..
You take your time enjoying the amenities that resided in Diluc’s guest bathroom, such as countless soaps, masks, lotions, and even skincare products. If you hadn’t known better, you would’ve assumed it was a luxury hotel..
Changing into your new set of silk pajamas, you couldn’t help but stare at yourself in the mirror. Back on earth, you had the occasional pimple or two, but now your skin looked better than ever. Could it have been because of Diluc’s immaculate products or could It have been because of the effects of tyvat? Questions like these plagued your mind as you suddenly feel the urge for a late night snack.
Creeping down the stairs quietly, you notice a warm figure sitting on an armchair near the fireplace.
“Diluc..?” You say softly as though not to disturb him. hearing no reply, you walk quietly over to him and notice he’s asleep.
His position is straight as if he were awake, but his tilted head and relaxed, closed eye expression gives away his deep slumber. Gently chuckling you can’t help but stare at his soft face. Unlike awake Diluc, this Diluc is much more soft and peaceful. not as stressed and not as stiff as he was before.
gently shuffling over to the couch, you bring over a blanket and drape it over his shoulders, making sure the blanket covers his entire body besides his head. Proud of your work, you step back and stretch, now reminded of your previous reason for coming down the first floor.
you head over to the kitchen and grab what seems to be tea time snacks from the fridge. Surely Adeline won’t mind..
Gobbling them up, you down a cup of water and sneak back upstairs. With a satisfied smile you bury yourself under the luxurious covers of the bed and fall into a peaceful dream.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Smiling softly, Diluc couldn’t help but bask in the warmth of the blanket draped over his body. He knew he was enamored by you when you had begun to chat back at the tavern, but now he couldn’t help but relish in the fact that he was the one to receive your kindness, your soft touch..
you had gotten so close to him too. Tucking in the blanket behind his shoulders and fixing the blanket to cover his whole body, Diluc was so nervous that you would hear his heart beat out of chest from your fleeting and gentle touches. Even though they weren’t much, it still made him feel so tingly. It was only then did he realize, did others receive this much kindness from you? Surly they didn’t deserve it. They probably don’t even know the worth of your smile or the worth of your kindness.
Diluc was certain about this. You shouldn’t be so trusting of others.. what if they end up treating you badly? What if they hurt you? All these thoughts plagued his mind as he glared at the fireplace. You had so easily followed him back to his manor and had so easily believed every word he said. Of course, Diluc would never be so barbaric and lie to you or harm you. He was sure that if it was anyone else who had offered you to stay in their home, that they would most definitely harm you in someway.
the thought was unbearable
sighing softly, Diluc got up from the armchair and made his way upstairs. Passing by your room, he could hear soft snores. Smiling at your silly noises, Diluc made his way to his bedroom.
perhaps it was best if you stayed with him..

NPC Life is the best
(Genshin Impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
part 3 —> part 4 —> part5
——————————————————
the sky began to darken as you made your way through the streets of mondstat. Not as bustling as it was before when you arrived but still festering with many visitors and citizens as they began to enjoy mondstat’s night life.
it had taken you only ten minutes to get to angles share, just the perfect time for a drink to go with your meal! Of course your original purpose was to find an inn but might as well enjoy yourself while your at it no?
food in hand and mood at ease, you gently push the door to the tavern open.
The warm lighting dawned softly on your face as you stepped inside, you also noted the strong smell of alcohol that now surrounded you. It was no surprise that the tavern was quite popular with a few regulars as well. there was that bard over there, couldn’t remember his name but you figured that wouldn’t be a problem. A few knights off duty enjoying a few beers. Some old men and adventurers.
well that seems pretty normal, just more people than displayed in the game of course.
and where was your favorite bartender Charles-
oh
it’s diluc
noticing your gaze, diluc, who was behind the counter, promptly coughed behind his hand and offerd you a curt nod.
“Welcome to Angels Share, my name is Diluc. I’m curently subbing in for Charles since he is out on break. If you wish to speak with him, I’m afraid you’ll have to come tommorow.” He nods and Looks at you with blunt eyes “is there anything I could help you with today?”
“Oh, I was just hoping to get a drink and maybe stay in for the night?” You smile sheepishly at him.
with how he’s speaking, he seems no diffrent from the in game diluc besides the fact that he was more closed off. But that could be expected since, well, you weren’t the traveler anymore.
“Of course, I could set that up for you later.” He gives you a curt and proper response. You wouldn’t expect any less from him in all honesty.
Pulling out a barstool, you sat down as diluc pulled out a menu.
“These are our most popular drinks, these are our seasonal, and these drinks are our specials. Feel free to tell me what you’d like.” he hands you the drink menu and you began to browse.
of course, you knew what you wanted. Grape juice! But his gaze just made it all the more difficult to talk to him. You must look like an absolute mess right now..
pretending to browse for a little longer you finnaly decided to look up from the menu. what met your gaze were deep crimson eyes, more on par with the colors of a flame than a glass of wine.
embarrassed, you pulled your gaze away from him and continued to fake browse. The red head must’ve been spacing out right?
while your thoughts were scrambling in your head like bumbling bees, diluc was quite conflicted.
He felt as though he knew you. Not on a surface level but a level of familiarity that he couldn’t even find the words for. It was as though you were as comforting as the pillow that cradled his head when he went to bed. It was strange. Not realizing he was staring intently, he continued to take in your features, almost as if he was trying to carve the image of you deep within his memory. How peculiar you were. snapping out of his trance diluc finally noticed your calls.
“I was wondering, do you perhaps have grape juice?” You say as you look up at him from the menu.
“Oh uh, of course” he coughs into his hand to hide his embarrassment. “Would you like it chilled or with ice?”
“Chilled would be fine” you smile politely as he begins to set up your drink.
“Usually customers don’t ask for grape juice.. well, most of them are drunkards anyways.” Diluc remarks as he pulls out a cold glass to pour the grape juice in.
chuckling softly at his somewhat insulting remark you thank him curtly for the drink and pull out the needed mora to pay for it. “Oh there’s no need” he pushes your hand away softly. You could almost feel the warmth of his hand through his glove..
“A-are you sure?” You look at him with sincerity. Now, if you were in his position you would’ve kissed up to whoever came in order to get good tips.. and now he’s refusing your money? How ridiculous! But.. then again he is realy.. realy rich. While your lonesome self was more middle class back in your world and with a bit of greed injected into your veins since your parents raised you with the mindset of ‘life is not worth living if you live on the streets’. How blunt they were..
Diluc noticed your strange expression and softly chuckled before saying “it’s on the house. It’s not often I get customers like you. Most of those who come here are mindless drunks willing to splurge their mora on a drink or two. It’s.. a nice change”
You thank him for his generosity and can’t help but smile at his words while you sip on your cool sweet grape juice.
“What’s your name by the way?” He inquires, wanting to get a better grasp as to who you are and why he was so.. drawn to you.
“My name is Y/n, just an average wanderer going about teyvat.” You simply state while fiddling with the napkin that came with your drink.
“Y/n..” he whispers as if thought your name was as sacred as the beloved Creator. How blasphemous, he shouldn’t put you at such high regard. If the nuns found out he’d surly be reprimanded. But he couldn’t help it. You were so.. alluring in a way. He couldn’t figure out why. When he let your words settle in his mind he couldn’t help but feel as though you were lying. He was sure you were much much more than just a ‘average wanderer’
The tavern was starting to become busy as the night flew by and you had finished up your sweet madam and grape juice by then. The warm atmosphere and chatter made you feel at ease. You weren’t used to letting yourself loose like this back in your world. But now that the stress of investment and accounting was off your back it almost felt that things were just too good to be true..
the hours passed and it was about 8 pm by now. You and diluc had chatted a bit more in between him serving customers and such. Both of you had little in common besides the love for grape juice but some how the conversations with him weren’t awkward at all. Almost as if you were talking to a friend.
“Hey um.. I know you were asking to stay a night here at the tavern but would you perhaps prefer to stay at dawn winery? You can decline of course. It is a bit far from the city but we could make it there by 9:30.” He rambles as he try’s to compose himself. It was kind of cute in all honesty.
“Huh? You.. you’d let me stay there?” Looking up at him with new found gratitude you couldn’t help but wonder if the rooms in the manor were as comfortable as the ones described in fanfics..
“Oh, of course. I’m sure it’s much more comfortable inside my manor than it is here in the tavern. The noise will be less irritating since the manor is surrounded by dawn winery’s vineyards. The bed here must be stiff as well.. barely anyone decides to stay the night here unless they’re extremely drunk.” Dliuc says as he subtly tries to convince you.
“Do I have to pay you or-“
“There’s no need. Your company is more than enough” he mumbles, the last part spoken so softly that you could’ve mistaken it for the flutters of a crystal fly.
Blushing slightly from the comment you cough into your hand to get rid of the sudden tension. “W-well then I’d be happy to stay at dawn winery.”
“Of course, it’s in my best interest that your stay in mondstat is a comfortable one.” He nods and smiles with sincerity.
the tavern closes earlier than usual today since it’s Monday, according to the old lady you passed by on your way here, so it was plausible as to why diluc was now ushering the lingering drunkards out of the tavern. It was quite the sight with dliuc groaning and sighing as some of the more stubborn ones had to be dragged out by a couple of their friends. How silly.
chuckling slightly at the sight you threw away the packaging for your sweet madam and sat patiently on the barstool as dliuc began to clean up the tavern. It was oddly domestic in a way.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Wiping away the slight grease from the counter, diluc threw away the wet towel and washed his hands in a sink behind the counter.
“Sorry for the wait, we can start heading out now”
you told him it was no big deal and began to stretch as you made your way outside the tavern. Diluc followed in suite and locked the tavern door for the night. “Well, let’s head over shall we?”
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . a comfortable silence washed over you two as you both began your journey to dawn winery. The walk was quite peaceful with the sound of bugs and soft wind accompanying you and diluc on your somewhat long walk.
passing the statue of statue of seven and walking under the high scaling cliff you spotted your destination.
the lamps there were dimly lit but the soft glow of light made it feel just as warm as the tavern itself despite the cold night that now blanketed itself over mondstat and it’s neighboring nations. Diluc made his way up the dirt path and past the vast vineyard as you followed him, taking in the sights of a game you had adored. knocking softly on the door diluc and you waited only a second before Adeline opened the door.
“Ah, you’re here Master Diluc” Adeline gave a welcoming smile and gave you the same treatment. She opened the door for both of you as diluc set his coat on a hook nearby.
he then turned to you with a soft smile, “you’ll be resting in the guest bedroom. It’s one room away from mine and it has a bathroom with all the necessities you can find or need” he nods again with a bit of pride, “please, let me or Adeline know if you ever need anything.”
“Of course, thank you, for everything Diluc” you looked at him, eyes filled with utter sincerity as he gave you a warm look
“If you can’t find yourself to sleep yet, I’m always here to talk. You wouldn’t be a bother at all” his voice was warm much warmer than it was when you first met him. It seems like he’s grown a bit fond of you..
smiling at him once again you make your way up the stairs to the guest room and push open the door. It was as homey and lavish as you had expected. Red sheets were neatly placed on the bed and fluffy pillows sat propped up against the head of the bed. The carpet had a nice design and there was a desk near the door you presumed was the bathroom.
you knew you were getting a bit too close to diluc but at this point you weren’t sure if it really mattered anymore since you’ve ran into other characters despite your attempts of blending in. Well even if he did find out he surly wouldn’t tell the knights, he thinks they’re incompetent. Well that’s if he ever finds out.
Flopping over onto the bed you were thrilled to finally take a much needed bath..
Maybe soaking in the expensive products diluc has given you wouldn’t be such a bad idea~

(Second person)
part.2 —> part 3 —> part 4
——————————————————————
Startled by the alchemist’s sudden appearance you let out a small yelp of surprise.
“Holy god.. you scared the living daylights out of me” you say while putting your hand on your heart to show your sincerity.
“I apologize, traveler. I couldn’t help but be.. captivated, by your appearance. Is it alright if I sketch you?” He says looking at your with a blank expression despite telling you of his interest in your appearance.
“S-sure.. can I at least get your name?” You inquire. Of course you know who he was, he’s Albedo! For gods sake your heart rate spiked the moment you saw him creep up on you. The fake surprise was to make it seem like you didn’t notice him at all. It was better this way.
“My name is Albedo, chief alchemist of the knights of favonius. It’s a pleasure meeting you, and what’s your name traveler?” He gently asks as he pulls out his sketch pad.
“My name is y/n, might i ask how long your sketch will take? I’m kinda in a rush.” You sheepishly smile at him. Of course you’re in a rush. In a rush to get away from him!
“It’ll only take 10 minutes. While my drawing cannot capture your full.. essence, it’s better than forgetting such a unique appearance.” He says smoothly a little proud of himself for managing to stall a little more time with you. Truthfully, he could’ve finish a sketch of you in 3 minutes if he wanted to, but there was something about you that made him want to selfishly keep you to himself.
Blushing a bit from his complements you stay completely still for him to finish his sketch while glancing away from him every now and then to get rid of your flustered expression.
striking a conversation with albedo was surprisingly easy, during the ten minutes he managed to find out what your favorite foods were and what type of flowers you adored. He was quite the smooth talker. Ten times as smooth as his teapot dialogue.
as the ten minutes quickly pass albedo gives the sketch of you the final touches. “I’m finished. Would you like to see the results?” He inquires a little hopeful that you’d be willing to see the fruits of his effort.
“Of course!” You smile at him gleefully. You’ve never gotten a portrait of yourself before so it was a bit thrilling to see how someone drew you, nonetheless the great albedo himself!
Turning his sketch pad he shows a picture like drawing of you, your eyes and smile jarringly similar to the reflection you saw of yourself on the glass pains of little shops you’d walk by.
“It’s lovely. It’s almost like staring in the mirror!” You complement your worries of spending to much time with him out the window as your now distracted by his magnificent sketch.
“I’m glad you think so Y/n.” He gently says, his stomach feeling little flutters here and there from your sweet words. He almost felt.. human in a sense. Something he never thought he’d feel as a creation made of chalk.
“If it ever occurs, maybe once you’re free. We could perhaps go for a meal? You’re quite an interesting person and I’d like to get to know you better.” He says calmly despite his nervousness of being rejected.
“Oh, uh sure. Maybe once I’m free” you repeat to him with a kind smile. Although you know it’s not the best idea to get tangled with albedo especially since he’s a creation of someone from Khaenri'ah you couldn’t help but feel a little guilty if you declined his offer.
“I really must go now Albedo. It was nice getting to meet you.” You say to him with sincerity as you get up from the bench stretching a little from how long you were sitting.
“It was nice meeting you as well, Y/n.” Albedo says and waves as you start to walk down the steps to the town square. Unknown to you, Albedo couldn’t help but feel a little upset of your quick leave as he watches you disappear into the crowd.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
as you began to walk back out into crowds you realize it’s almost 5 pm. You sure took your time walking up to the cathedral.
You usually would eat dinner at this time so your stomach began to grumble a bit. Noticing your stomach’s little cry of hunger you decided to stop by good hunter and get a sweet madam to go. while waiting, you decided to brainstorm where to stay for the night, cause your sure as hell not sleeping in the open where anyone could cut you and see your blood.
mm.. maybe angle’s share? There is an extra room for drunkards willing to pay to stay for the night.. but that would mean you would have to get a drink. Maybe they serve grape juice! It’s been your favorite since you were 5. Yea, maybe staying in angle share’s is a good idea after all!
standing up from your seat, you go up to the counter and pay for your take out. let’s head to the tavern!
————————————————————————
Carp bread- feels way shorter than my usual brain poops but I’m like about to fall asleep and I’m pretty sure the next part I make will be a heft chunk bec of diluc whshhwhwhwhwhwhwh 👍😼

NPC Life is the best
(Genshin Impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
Part 1 —> Part 2 —> Part.3
————————————————
Now that your kaeya predicament was gone, it was finally time to decide what to do for a living. to be honest, you didn’t have to worry about money since you were an accountant and had a few properties in real estate. So money just was never the problem.
but now that you’ve landed in teyvat it seems that all of your hard work has gone out into the gutter. real estate didn’t seem like a good job considering-
well
the fact that you had barely enough mora for four more meals. and accounting didn’t seem all that good either since the store managers in teyvat never seemed to need an accountant at all.
well unless if you wanted to work for the fatui and slave away while also having the chance of being hurt at any moment..
so past jobs just weren’t gonna cut it.
maybe a.. painter? You did paint as a hobby, but then again you didn’t have money for the costly supplies anymore..
oooo! Or maybe a baker? You did enjoy baking with your ex, but then again it was mostly him doing the work while you just stared at him lovesick..
mm.. maybe an adventurer? The pay seemed pretty good and you would get to explore all of teyvat at the same time. However.. the Khaenri’ah quests broke you so hurting a innocent hillichurl would probably break your heart..
who knew picking a job would be so hard?
as you grumble about what to do, a flyer from a nearby wall suddenly flys off gently and straight into your lap. A CHIBI drawing of a familiar figure prancing around piles of mora is dead center as the text above says
NEW!!!
Liben is back in town!! Those with valuable goods such as ores or whatever I’m craving- will be paid handsomely! If you wish to trade with me, please come next to the fruit stalls at the front gate if you wish to trade for a handsome amount of MORA!
teyvat has blessed you
Your holy savior is back in town!
but.. what could liben want today? Then again, his silly little flyer said it could be anything of value. Maybe you should try your luck at getting a precious ore! It shouldn’t be too hard right?
. . . . . . . . .
it was too easy
the moment you trekked out into a small cave near eagle coast was the moment you found two large emerald like ores that were easily plucked out. It was as if teyvat wanted to impress you in how it could bend to your wishes so easily.
you made your way back to mondstat and headed to the location Liben was usualy found.
weaving through the busy street you found yourself before the flamboyant looking man. He was as tall as you’d thought he be but with a very chill attitude just like his in game dialogue.
“Hi! My name is Y/n. I saw your flyer and I was wondering if you’d be interested in my ores” you show him your two ores which were as large as small watermelon.
“Hmm, these will certainly do. How about 1 million mora? These fine ores must cost a hefty price no?” Liben nods with professionalism.
“Mm.. how about 1.4 million mora?” You look up at him with a pitiful look. “I worked very hard to find these ores so it would be nice if you could raise the price a bit. Of course, if you don’t want to it’s fine.”
Liben ponders for a minute before diligently responding with “how about 1.3 million mora? Will that suffice Traveller?”
“Deal!” You look up at him happily.
“Good! Let’s set this trade then”
Liben proceeds to grab three hefty bags of mora and hands it over to you as you gently hand over your ores. As Liben hands you the bags of mora you can only ponder about how to fit the into your little pouch..
well that was until a backpack symbol popped up onto your pouch.. it seems like the bag you had stolen wasn’t any ordinary bag after all. Pressing on the symbol, the back pack screen popped up like in game. Liben didn’t react nor did anyone who was passing by. It seems like this screen was only visible to you.. how neat!
placing the mora into your inventory you see the mora bar fill up. Although you’re a little guilty about guild tripping Liben into giving you an extra 300k, times are hard and with such a good opportunity you must take it! Come on look at you now, 1.3 million mora would probably last you almost a life time in teyvat, but you can never be so sure. After all, being so stable with money in your old world sure puts you on your feet now that your hard earned fortunes are of no use. The more mora, the better!
. . . . . . . . . . .
Once you finished sharing small talk with Liben after your godly trade, you decided to explore the city of freedom.
it was about 3 pm now since you spent a few hours walking out to go find ores. Now that your stable with mora the flooding thoughts of being the creator really hit you.
Surprisingly, it hasn’t been on your mind at all. But now that you’re heading to the cathedral and the venti statue, the thoughts of being treated like a divine being throws shivers down your spine. While living in luxury would be a dream of some, being stuck in a cold and quiet throne room seems just as horrible as living on the cold streets.
now that you think about it, you haven’t heard talk about the creator at all. With how little you know about yourself you can’t help but be nervous. Is there an imposter on the throne? Do the people of teyvat sacrifice human beings in your name? these thoughts can’t help but send another shiver down your spine as you finally reach the top of the long stairs.
the venti statue stood high in scale, obviously more magnificent then it could ever be in game. The crowd that surrounded the statue was much larger as well. With nuns preaching about lord barbatos and so forth. you look at the cathedral to see another nun preaching, she seemed to be talking about the creator.. it’s best if you listen in on her words.
scurrying over you manage to find a nice spot amongst the large crowd of people.
“The divine creator has yet to descend but as diligent followers we mustn’t rush their return!” The nun says loudly as a few people cheer.
“Once they descend we will finally see their divine features, features not even the best scriptures could describe.”
“We will bathe them in gold like the color of their holy blood! And we shall never kill in their name lest we sully their robes!” The nun preaches like a zealot and the crowd yet again cheers.
well, that sure answers your question. At least the people don’t kill in your name.. you couldn’t be so sure about gods though.. well it’s better than everyone doing it, that’s for sure.
The nun also said that the creator hasn’t descended yet.. which means you’re not in the imposter au! Woo hoo! Now you surely have a better chance to live as an NPC.
walking away from the crowd you decide it’s best to go look for an inn. The gothe hotel is an obvious contender but it’s taken over by the fatui.. maybe you should walk around the city a little more and decide.
heading down the stairs to the town square you sit down on a bench, now realizing the toll of walking down the large amount of steps.. how do the locals do it *sigh*
unknown to you a certain soft spoken alchemist can’t help but be captured by the sight of you. With his interest peaked he walks over to you quietly without you noticing a thing.
“Excuse me, is it alright if I sketch you?”

NPC Life is the best
(Genshin Impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
Prologue —> part 1 —> part.2
—————————————————-
After being tossed into the world of teyvat, you start to make your way down starsnatch cliff. Unlike what you had previously thought, the winds were quite gentle and gave you a sense of serenity that some what soothed your aching head. It was about sunrise when you had landed here so it shouldn’t take until sunset to get to mondstat.
the dirt path was a great aid to the city and in all honesty the walk down the cliff was quite nice as you got see the lovely sights of windrise and a ancient four winds temple.
there were a few adventures out and about but they paid you no mind. It was better that way. as you slowly approached the small cooking pot set almost right outside the city you decided it be best to test a few things.
Grabbing a small left over sack from the wood stump, you took out a small pocket knife sheathed in leather. Taking the small knife out you looked around to see if anyone was there. to your relief there was no one besides the pigeons on the bridge.
gently holding the knife you proceeded to make a small cut on the side of your wrist.
Gold..
quickly after your discovery you use the bandages in the small bag to cover it up. Wouldn’t want someone to see that..
gently holding the sack you found you thought it’d be best to keep it. It’s free no? Smiling happily with your newly found possession you started to walk across the large bridge.
a few characters you decided were best to avoid were obviously venti and kaeya. Venti was an archon so it was already a big no even if he didn’t know what you looked like. Kaeya is from khanria so who knows what he could sense. Both of them have visions so both of them could possibly recognize your aura.. even though venti uses a fake one, it’s still likely that as an archon he would recognize your aura regardless..
well that is if they decide to believe in the strange aura of yours. There’s a chance they won’t even bother tracking you down.
gathering your thoughts together you make your way into the city nodding at both of the guards as a sign of respect. To your surprise they didn’t even stop you from going in without a small questioning.. you guess it’s because they barely get any respect *snorts*.
walking into the city, you realize it’s about 9 o’clock and your a bit peckish after the long walk. Why not treat yourself to a delicious fisherman’s toast? looking around you as you make your way up to Sara, you find that the city is more crowded than what it seems to be in game. People by the fountain, merchants flocking the side of the paths, and even little kids playing with what looked to be a yo-yo. In all honesty it put a smile on your face. Everything was so beautiful.
making your way up to the counter of good hunter you spot a familiar sight, amber and Eula were eating at good hunter too! ‘Oh god it’s my otp AAAAAAA’
‘Calm down y/n..’
‘Calm down’
afraid of staring at the pair for too long, you glance away not noticing the strange look Eula shot at you.
after waiting in line for a little bit you manage to finally order your beloved fisherman’s toast. Using the mora inside your (stolen) bag you pay off the fisherman’s toast and find a spot to enjoy your crispy delight.
“Why hello there” a familiar but suave voice calls out to you.
“I haven’t seen you before, are you perhaps an outlander like our dear honorary knight?”
god.. it was kaeya
“Hm? Oh I’m actually from liyue.” You lie trying to maintain a calm demeanor.
“Oh? I Must say, you don’t dress like someone from liyue, I apologize for my assumption.” He looks down at you with a sly smile and inquisitive look.
“It’s no problem, really” god you never realized how hard it was to act.. you should’ve taken up those acting classes from your aunt.
“If you say so” he smiles again. “Enjoy your stay in mondstat I’d love to show you around some time traveler”
“Oh no, i mustn’t take up your time”
“Oh but I insist. Whats your name by the way lovely traveler?” He says with a confident look on his face.
“Y/n, you must be the suave Calvary captain that all the ladies in mondstat have been chatting about.” You tease him slightly to get the attention off of you
“You flatter me Y/n. Your quite the smooth talker yourself” he chuckles and smirks.
“Well it was nice getting to meet you, I must be on my way now, even though I would’ve loved to stay and chat”
“It’s no problem Kaeya” you smile softly and wave off to him as he walks away.
‘Holy fucking shit’
You felt as though your life flashed through your eyes as you finish up your fisherman’s toast. Hopefully he didn’t see through your facade.. he might’ve noticed your aura but probably dismissed it as something else. well he’s gone now so there’s no need to worry to much about him right now.
the thing you should be worrying about is going broke after all.
what job would suit your NPC like needs..

NPC Life is the best
(Genshin impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
Prologue —> part.1
—————————————————
If you were to be honest to yourself instead of being delusional,
you’d say your life is quite average.
throughout your years of living, it has all almost become a blur. You were born, you were raised with loving parents, you got average grades, you graduated, and you got a good job.
Your pay was quite good, it kept you alive and enough to even spend more than normal on yourself. You’ve even had a few partners to your own surprise. Even though your single now but on good term with your exes, you can’t help but find that your life has always been awfully un eventful.
well at least you have a few games to keep you company! Genshin Impact has been one that you’ve been on the rage about for ages. While your friends and family don’t seem to care for the game, you don’t mind. It’s fun exploring the areas, looking at the immaculate graphics, fighting new mobs and bosses, and especially wishing for your favorite characters!
you’ve recently even gotten into a few fanfics of the fantasy game yourself. Most fanfics that you read tend to fall in the Sagau category. It’s such an interesting topic no? Being tossed into a world filled with characters you adore only to be chased down and hunted. Well that is if you land in the imposter au. But, nonetheless, you cherish the game that has spruced up your life just a tiny bit~
Well
that was until you were tossed into the game yourself
‘oh god’
‘am I gonna die’
‘holy shit’
‘what the hell is going on right now’
a flash of white blinds your eyes as they slowly adjust to the bright surroundings after being torn from your peaceful sleep.
“Shit”
you couldn’t help but mumble as you finally grow accustomed to your surroundings. As you glance around you find yourself looking at the vast view of mondstat from Starsnatch Cliff. The wind was crisp and the Cecilia flowers let out a gentle sweet smell that filled your nostrils as you began to stand up.
‘I can’t tell of this a blessing or a curse..’
your thoughts scrambled in your head as you let the breeze brush through your hair. The cloths that you wore when you were still cozily asleep on your bed were now gone and replaced with a simple white button up with the top three buttons being popped off, a light cape tied to the loops on the side of your button up that has large cuts on the side for your arms and falls down to your thighs, a pair of loose and some what airy trousers, and comfortable shoes. As you look at your cloths you find yourself holding a small beat up book with your name engraved into it.
How strange..
you open the book to find a small note in it.
Your journey has started
Please note that the characters you encounter will not recognize you as your ( THE CREATOR) appearance is considered anonymous. While they may not recognize you, those gifted with visions WILL notice your “strange” comforting aura.
your goal is to simply live
As *their* beloved CREATOR or as a simple kind citizen of teyvat. This is your choice
so chose wisely
might as well explore and see the world
Signed your beloved C.
As you finish reading the first two pages of your special little book, you look up into the clear sky
might as well start trekking to the city of freedom
