Chapter 23: The Tales of a Little Tiger- A Little Star in Daycare
Tumblr media
Summary: America goes to daycare for the first time. Wanda and Natasha discuss the possibility of y/n being autistic and having sensory processing disorder.
America clung to her mama Yelena as they walked into what looked like a classroom.
With the help of Tony and Bruce she was now three years old and in the body of a three year old. It was the age she had chosen for herself.
“What do you think of your new preschool classroom?” Yelena asked America as she kneeled in front of her little.
“Want to stay with you and mommy.” America said as she felt tears fill her eyes.
Yelena wiped away the tears that had fallen down her little’s face. “Aww, my love. It’s only for a few hours everyday. You will have lots of fun. Peter is in your class and y/n is in the toddler class down the hall.” She said trying her best to reassure America.
Kate walked into the classroom, she frowned when she saw America crying in Yelena’s arms. “Everything okay?” She asked as she rubbed her little girl’s back.
“No leave.” America sobbed into her mama’s shoulder. Ever since she had transitioned into a full little, she had developed separation anxiety with Yelena and Kate.
Kate took America into her arms and did her best to soothe her little one. “It’s okay. We will always come and get you. It’s just for a few hours so me and mama can work.”
After a while America seemed to calm down. She sucked on her thumb as she saw Peter run into the classroom along with other children.
Peter ran up to Yelena and hugged her excitedly. “Is America gonna be in my class?!”
Yelena smiled and nodded her head, “yes. She’s a little scared. Do you think you can help her not be so scared?”
Peter nodded his head as he wanted to help in any way that he could. He walked over to Kate and America, “it’s gonna be okay. We’re gonna have lots of fun!” He said excitedly as he took America’s small hand into his.
America let go of her mommy and followed Peter to some shelves full of toys. She giggled and cheered up as they started to play together.
Kate and Yelena both became emotional as they watched their little girl play with the other children.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
When it came time for parents to pick up their children, Kate and Yelena were the first to arrive. While they waited they paid a visit to your classroom.
You walked up to Yelena first and raised your little arms up wanting to be picked up. “Nena!” You babbled as you still couldn’t say your aunt Yelena’s name correctly; yet you had mastered saying Lucky’s name perfectly fine.
“You’re getting so big, y/n!” Yelena said as she chuckled when she picked you up.
“She’s now a tiger cub.” Kate said as she kissed your forehead. “I can’t believe that she’s already two years old.”
Natasha and Wanda walked into the toddler classroom and smiled when they saw Yelena and Kate holding you in their arms.
“It’s nice to see you here. Was today America’s first day? Did you cry sestra?” Natasha teased Yelena.
”Oh, be quiet! We all know that you cried when it was y/n’s first day.” Yelena teased back before saying, “and yes. Kate and I both cried.”
Everyone laughed but it was all in good fun.
You reached your arms out to Natasha who gladly took you in her arms.
While Natasha and Wanda signed you out and talked to your teacher Kate and Yelena walked down the hall to pick up America and see how their little’s first day of daycare had gone.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
America looked up from her coloring sheet and a big smile formed on her face when she saw her mama and mommy standing at the door talking to her teacher. She got up and ran to them.
“Mama! Mommy!” She said excitedly as she ran to both of them. They welcomed her in their arms and held her tightly.
“Hello, my little star. How was your day?” Yelena asked as she couldn’t stop smiling when she felt her little girl run into her arms.
“Had fun, Mama. Peter and me played all day!” America said happily as she smiled big.
Kate also couldn’t stop smiling as she listened to America talk about her day. “That’s wonderful, sweet girl. Sounds like you had a great first day!”
America nodded her head as she showed off her artwork and the crafts that she had made with Peter. She still had some blue paint on her hands and face. Needless to say her first day was a success.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanda and Natasha cooked dinner together as you played in the living room with your stuffed tiger and some of your toys.
It was storming outside and you started to cry when you heard a loud clap of thunder.
Wanda rushed to you and picked you up. “It’s alright y/n. You’re safe, it was just the thunder.” She comforts you as she shows you that it’s raining outside through the window.
Your little hands are still covering your ears and you’re still having a hard time calming down despite being in your mama’s arms.
Natasha wrapped her arms around you and Wanda. She felt her caregiver pheromones kick in which combined with Wanda’s was able to soothe you. “It’s okay, malen’kiy.”
Once you had calmed down, your mama Wanda strapped you into your high chair and placed your dinner on your tray; she handed you a plastic spoon and attempted to teach you how to feed yourself.
You babbled as you tried to scoop some food onto your spoon by yourself. You were very independent and were in a phase where you wanted to do everything on your own.
Wanda laughed when you kept trying to do it on your own. “Y/n, are you sure you don’t want mama to help you?”
You shook your head no stubbornly as you managed to get some food into your mouth. You clapped your little hands triumphantly.
Wanda and Natasha both smiled and laughed as they watched you feed yourself as they ate their own dinner.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you were asleep in your toddler bed cuddling your tiger, your mama’s both leaned down and kissed your forehead. You looked so happy and content tucked in under your favorite blanket.
Natasha wrapped her arms around her girlfriend sensing that something was on her mind, “what’s wrong, my love?” She asked gently.
“I just can’t stop thinking about y/n and how she was crying when she heard the thunderstorm. I’ve noticed that ever since she was a baby that she doesn’t like loud noises and certain sensory interactions bother her.” Wanda said as she watched you sleep.
Natasha nodded her head in understanding, “I’ve noticed the same thing. I know at our last checkup Cho mentioned that y/n might have sensory processing disorder and might be autistic as well. Which if she is isn’t a problem; it just means that her brain works a little differently and we may need to look into what accommodations we can provide for y/n.”
Wanda relaxed in her girlfriend’s embrace as she felt heard and validated for her worries and concerns. “You’re right. If y/n is neurodivergent then that’s perfectly okay. We will do everything we can to make our little tiger’s life the best it can be.”
“It might be a little early to do testing but I’ll contact Cho in the morning and see if we can at least discuss our concerns with her.” Nat said as she placed a soft kiss on Wanda's head.

Chapter 22: The Tales of a Little Tiger- Terrible Two's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: A cute fluffy chapter where Natasha learns what it's like to take care of a two year old while Wanda is away on a work trip. Peter and y/n have a playdate.
You were now two years old and had entered your terrible twos. Your favorite word was “no” and you loved pushing your mama’s buttons.
“Y/n, let’s get dressed so we can go see Peter and uncle Tony.” Natasha said as she chased you around as you giggled.
“No.” You said as you giggled as you ran from your mama. You let out loud giggles when she caught you and kissed your tummy.
“I caught you, my little tiger!” Nat said as she caught you. She carried you to the bathroom, “can you try to use the potty for mama?” She asked as she placed you on your pink training potty.
You still wore diapers at bedtime but ever since you had turned two years old your mama’s let you wear princess pull up diapers and they placed you on a big girl potty. If you did good then sometimes they would give you a special treat. You sat on the potty and concentrated real hard and you smiled when you heard yourself tinkle in the potty. You clapped your hands at your achievement.
“Great job, Y/n!” Nat said excitedly as she helped you put on your pull up. She then helped you wash your hands. “After you get dressed you can have a treat.”
Your mama dressed you into a cute outfit and braided your hair. She also helped you put on your shoes and once you were dressed she gave you a small lollipop.
You sat on the couch playing on your tablet as your mama grabbed your backpack and finished getting ready.
“Alright, let’s go to the car. You can bring your tablet.” Nat said as she held out her hand to you as she waited for you.
As you sat in your car seat you sucked on your lollipop and played on your tablet. You were pretty smart for your age and your Babu and Dedu had talked your mama’s into getting you a tablet with educational games and videos installed.
Natasha smiled as she drove. She could hear you singing and trying to say the alphabet and count. She couldn’t get over how fast you had grown in a year.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter ran up to hug you when he saw you walk out of the elevator. “Y/n! Daddy got me a new toy! Do you want to see?” He asked excitedly.
You smiled big as you held onto Peter’s hand and ran with him to his playroom. You loved playing with Peter because he always had the best toys. Your mama Wanda was always careful with what toys you were allowed to play with. Your eyes grew big when Peter showed you an electric car. “Car!” You said excitedly as you pointed to it.
Peter giggled as he opened the passenger side door, “come on get in!” He said as he helped you get in and then he got on the drivers side. He started to drive the car around the apartment.
“Hey buddy, not too fast!” Tony said as he called out to Peter. He smiled as he heard you giggling as Peter drove.
“Really Tony? An electric car. Wanda is going to kill me for letting Y/n get in a car with a four year old driver.” Nat said as she shook her head and laughed.
Tony shrugged his shoulders, “Wanda doesn’t have to know and besides the kid is a great driver. He’s got good hand eye coordination.”
Nat agreed with Tony as she couldn’t stop smiling watching Peter drive his electric car all around the apartment. She turned to Tony, “Yelena and Kate want to know if there is a way that you can age down their little, America?”
Tony sat down on the couch in front of Natasha, “sure that shouldn’t be a problem. How is the kid settling in? I’m assuming things are going well if they’ve already decided to age her down to her headspace age.”
“She’s settled in really well with Yelena and Kate, and of course Lucky loves her. America has had a rough life with losing her real mother’s and I think a lot of healing can come from giving her a fresh start. She’s so much happier and relaxed when she’s in her little headspace.” Nat says as she takes a sip of her coffee.
Just as Tony is about to respond he jumps up at the sound of the electric car thudding into a wall and the sound of you crying. “Bambi, what happened?” He asked Peter as he ran into the playroom.
Peter looked scared as he looked at you crying and then at his daddy and auntie Nat. “Sorry daddy. Didn’t mean to.”
Nat quickly picked you up and tried to comfort you. She noticed a giant bump forming on your forehead. Yep. Wanda was definitely going to kill her. “It’s okay baby. Let’s go put some ice on your owie.”
“It’s okay Bambi, you’re not in trouble. Accidents happen. Why don’t you go pick out a movie and I’ll make us all some popcorn.” Tony said as he comforted his son and hugged him.
“Okay daddy!” Peter said excitedly as he wiped away his tears. He was glad that his daddy wasn’t mad at him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
You fussed in your mama’s arms as she tried to hold an ice pack to your forehead. “No!” You yelled as you pushed the ice pack away.
“No ma’am, we don’t yell at mama like that. I know it’s cold but it will help you feel better.” Nat said firmly as she held the ice pack to your head. She pulled out a sippy cup filled with breastmilk and handed it to you hoping that it would help calm you down.
“Tanks mama.” You said as you slowly started to calm down. You started to drink your mama Wanda’s breastmilk as it made you feel safe.
Nat carried you to the living room where Tony and Peter sat waiting with a big bucket of buttery popcorn. She smiled when you sat next to Peter and gave him a hug. “So, what movie are we watching?”
“Lilo and Stitch!” Peter said happily as he pointed to the giant flatscreen tv.
Everyone ate popcorn and enjoyed the movie. Nat kept a careful eye on you to make sure that you didn’t have a concussion and she relaxed a little when she saw that the bump had gone down a little.
By the end of the movie you and Peter had fallen asleep and were cuddled on the couch together. Tony smiled and took a picture of the two of you with his phone, the sight was simply too precious.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Wanda got home she could hear you giggling in the bathroom as Natasha was giving you a bath. She smiled as she put her luggage by the door. “I’m home!”
You squealed happily when you saw your mama Wanda walk into the bathroom. “Mama home!” You missed your mama Wanda and you were so happy that you tried to climb out of your bubble bath.
“Oh my baby, what happened to your head?” Wanda asked as she got on her knees by the tub and hugged you not even bothered that you were soaking wet. She gave Natasha a ‘what the hell happened’ look.
“Car! Ouchie!” You said as you pointed to your head and tried to explain what happened to your mama.
Wanda felt anxious as she looked at you and then turned to Natasha, “did you get into a car accident? Why didn’t you call me?”
“It wasn’t technically a car accident. I mean it was but not our car. Tony got Peter an electric car and Y/n was riding with Peter and they ran into a wall.” Nat explained as she rinsed you off and then grabbed your tiger towel and wrapped you up so that Wanda could pick you up.
“You let a four year old drive our daughter around in an electric car?” Wanda said in disbelief as she picked you up out of the tub. She was upset that you had gotten hurt, she was very protective over you.
Wanda placed you in a diaper and dressed you into your pajamas. She kissed your forehead as she gave you a sippy cup full of her breast milk. “I missed you, my little tiger.” She said as she rocked you in the rocking chair in your room.
Your eyes became heavy as you drank your milk and breathed in your mama Wanda’s scent. You had missed being in her arms.
Nat walked in and smiled when she saw Wanda tuck you into your toddler bed. “She’s growing up so fast.”
Wanda smiled as she looked up, “she really is. Look, I’m sorry that I got so upset earlier. I just hate seeing her get hurt; but that’s part of a child’s development. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I can’t put her inside a bubble.” Wanda said as she walked over to her girlfriend Nat and wrapped her arms around her.
Nat leaned down and kissed Wanda on the lips. “I’m so glad that you are home; and I feel the same as you. Sometimes I wish we could put her in a bubble. Also our daughter is very fond of the word ‘no’.” Natasha said as she let out a quiet chuckle.
Wanda giggled, “she gets that from you dear.”

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 21- A Little Tiger's Cousin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Y/n's family grows as Yelena and Kate take on America as their little.
You walked happily playing with your toys under the careful eye of your mama Nat. She clapped when you would stop and dance to the music coming from the radio.
“Your aunties Yelena and Kate are coming over with America.” Nat said to you excitedly as she tickled your belly. She smiled warmly when she got you to giggle cutely.
Your eyes lit up when you turned at the sound of the door opening and saw America walk in. You walked on wobbly legs over to her and babbled excitedly.
America smiled big at seeing you walk up to her, “Y/n!” She reached down and picked you up and gave you a big hug. She didn’t realize how much she had missed you.
“America, why don’t you go play with y/n while we help Wanda with dinner?” Yelena suggested as she showed America where your playroom was located.
“Okay ma… Yelena.” America corrected herself as she agreed. It had only been a week of her staying with Kate and Yelena; it was much too soon for her to call the two women her mothers. Sometimes she allowed herself to daydream of what it would be like if they did become her moms. Of course no one could ever replace her biological parents. She was still getting used to dropping into her little headspace and sometimes she felt stupid for wanting to call her caregivers mama and mommy.
Yelena gave a gentle smile as she caught America’s slip of almost calling her mama. It warmed her heart that already America felt safe enough to see them as motherly figures. “Thank you, malen'kiy.”
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So how are things with America?” Nat asked Kate and Yelena as they all helped Wanda set the kitchen table.
Kate’s eyes lit up at the mention of America, “it’s been absolutely amazing! She is so sweet and settling well in our home. We’re still working on getting her room perfect. Lucky also loves her, he follows her everywhere and he is so protective of her.” She lowers her voice to a whisper, “when she’s in a little headspace sometimes she will slip up and call us mama and mommy. It’s so freaking adorable.”
Yelena smiles warmly as she watches Kate talk about their little with so much love and adoration. “It’s still too soon to call ourselves that; so when she slips up we just go with the flow. We don’t want to pressure her into anything. We want her to feel comfortable, especially since it’s still fresh for her to lose her mothers.” Yelena explains in a low voice.
Wanda smiled approvingly, “I’m so proud of both of you. It sounds to me that you are both doing a wonderful job of being her caregivers. It’s so important to communicate with your little one especially when they are in their grown headspace. If she already feels comfortable to call you motherly titles, then I would suggest asking her about it. She may feel embarrassed or unsure on how to transition into calling you mama or mommy.”
“That’s how y/n was at first. Y/n used to get embarrassed about everything when she first started to drop. It took a lot of reassurance and repetition for her to feel comfortable with us taking full care of her needs. America is older, so it will be easier to communicate with her. I’m also so proud of you both.” Nat said as she hugged her sister and soon to be sister in-law.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
America felt herself drop to four years old as she played with you and all of your toys. “Roar!” She said as she played with some plastic dinosaurs on the floor next to you. She laughed when you picked up a plastic tiger and roared back.
Wanda walked into the playroom and chuckled seeing the two of you lost in a make believe world of dinosaurs and tigers. She knelt down on the floor, “girls, it’s dinner time.”
You made grabby hands towards your mama when you heard her voice. “Mama.”
America held onto the Stegosaurus dinosaur she was playing with. It was her favorite dinosaur and she didn’t want to put the toy away.
Wanda noticed the girl struggling with herself, “malen'kiy, you can bring the dinosaur with you to the table.”
America’s eyes lit up as she got up and followed Wanda to the dining room. She ran up to Kate excitedly, “mommy, look!” She said as she showed the green and blue dinosaur to her caregiver.
“Oh wow! That’s a big strong dinosaur! Is it your favorite?” Kate asked as she noticed the pure joy and excitement in her little one’s voice and mannerisms.
Yelena helped make a plate for America as the girl talked about dinosaurs and all her favorite animals. She placed the plate of food in front of her little, “here you go, malen'kiy. Little girls need to eat so they can grow big and strong like dinosaurs.”
Everyone ate happily chatting about different topics. You babbled happily as you also wanted to take part in the conversation.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yelena noticed America was falling asleep at the dinner table, “I think we should get going. It’s past this one’s bedtime.” She chuckled as she went over to her little one and picked her up. “Sestras, thank you for dinner. It was amazing.”
America sucked on her thumb as she relaxed in Yelena’s arms. She felt loved by her caregivers as well as their family. She felt lucky to have aunts and you as her cousin. Her eyes grew heavy as she dreamt of a life surrounded by family.
Wanda and Natasha said their goodbyes to Kate and Yelena. They both chuckled when they saw that you also had fallen asleep in your high chair.
Natasha unclipped you from your high chair and carried you to your nursery. She changed your diaper and wiped your body clean from the spaghetti sauce that covered your skin.
Once you were dressed in a clean onesie your mama placed you in your crib and turned on your night light. You sucked on your pacifier as you drifted into a peaceful slumber.
“Sweet dreams, my malen'kiy.” Natasha said as she turned off the light and closed the door.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yelena woke up at the sound of crying coming from down the hall. She looked next to her and saw that Kate was still fast asleep. Carefully she crawled out of bed and headed towards America’s room, her heart breaking when she saw the girl tossing and turning in bed.
“America, darling. It’s okay, you are safe.” The blonde spoke calmly and quietly as she gently woke up America.
America wiped at her tear stained face and shot up out of bed. Her chest was beating fast as her body shook in fear. She felt in between ages and she didn’t know how to feel the moment she noticed Yelena her caregiver was in the room with her. “Sorry. Did I wake you?”
Yelena nodded, “it’s okay though. There’s nothing to apologize for. Do you want to talk about your dream?”
“I…I don’t know. I feel so many things and I don’t even know how to be myself anymore. It’s stupid!” America shouted as her fists clenched tightly. She was frustrated with her emotions.
Yelena listened to America, “you’ve been through so much. Your feelings aren’t stupid they are valid. If you want I can help you sort through how you feel? You don’t have to figure everything out on your own sweet girl.”
America nodded her head as she felt like she was dropping. She looked up at Yelena with tears shining in her eyes, “I feel stupid because I want you and Kate to be my moms. Little me and big me want it… but it’s so soon. What if you and Kate don’t want us in that way?” She pauses as tears fall down her face, “Is it wrong for me to want parents and a family? Would my real moms be disappointed in me for wanting to be adopted?”
The blonde moved closer to her little one and made eye contact, “first of all you are not stupid for wanting these things. Kate and I want you to be ours. We want you to be our daughter, but we’ve just been patient. We want what’s best for you and we never want to pressure you to do anything you don’t want to do.” Yelena says gently yet firmly. She takes America’s shaking hands into her own, “It’s not wrong for you to want a family and I think your moms would want you to be taken care of and have a safe home. That’s what Kate and I want for you… we want to be a safe home for you. Sweet girl, it’s only been a week but I promise that we already love you.”
America threw herself in Yelena’s arms as she cried. “You really want me?” America felt relief wash over her as the fear of rejection left her. “I love you too… mama.”
Yelena held on tightly to America as she rocked the girl in her arms. “Malen'kiy, of course we want you. We love you more than you know.” Her heart melted at being called mama while America was in between headspaces. She smiled when she looked up and saw Kate crying happy tears from the doorway.
Kate had heard the whole conversation and it warmed her heart when she heard that America had wanted to become part of their family. It had been hard to be patient and not rush anything; but now she knew that even outside of a little headspace that America felt safe and desired to be adopted into their family.
When America saw Kate standing in the doorway she got out of bed and ran to hug her. “Will you be my mommy too?”
“Oh sweetheart, of course I will be your mommy too.” Kate said as she hugged America and ran her fingers through the girl’s hair soothingly. Her heart felt full and complete as she held her little one in her arms. “You are safe and you are loved.”
Lucky came in wagging his tail. He licked America’s face excitedly which caused her to laugh and giggle. It was like he was saying that he loved her as his sister.
Yelena and Kate held each other as they watched their little one play with Lucky and they couldn’t be happier.

You know what drives me nuts about the way people treated Regina Mills?
Tumblr media
1. If she was a king not a queen, and she plundered villages in the name of the kingdom, they’d have called her powerful and assertive. She ran the kingdom itself better than Leopold ever did.
Tumblr media
2. She was not the cause of Emma’s bad childhood, because Snow and Charming didn’t lose Emma the day they put her in the wardrobe - they lost her the day snow gave her name to Rumple. The dark curse was coming, even if Regina decided not to cast it Rumple would have found someone else (likely Zelena) and Emma would have been written into it still because of Snow and Charming. Also, they could have chosen to live a cursed life but with Emma by their side, they didn’t have to send her away to become the saviour. They chose Emma saving their kingdom over themselves saving Emma. Blue lied, Gepetto bribed, and Jimeny kept his ‘morally sound’ mouth shut. Emma’s fate was sealed, whether Regina cast the curse or not.
Tumblr media
3. She was so lonely, scared, and hurting - and they all acted like she was meant to be so grateful. (TW for forced marriage and SA in this one! Read with caution) The EF characters were all there to watch it happen, and Emma and Henry studied that story book too. At what point did it not stand out to anyone that the king was (even by the pictures in the story book) an old man complete with grey hair, and he was marrying a newly 18 year old girl for the sole purpose of her being a replacement second-rate version of Eva. Not a woman, a GIRL. She was SOLD to him. She was magically locked in the castle, spent years all alone while forcing a smile on her face while she was trapped inside her prison of hell - and everyone acted like she was supposed to be grateful for it?! The proposal itself was as a reward for saving a life. She wasn’t power-hungry, she intended to be a stable boy’s wife on the run. Some jewels and a crown were NOT an equal consolation prize for her grieving, sorrow, or virginity. Her thirst for power in the EQ years was a result of her having absolutely none in her ‘marriage’ (her captivity).
Tumblr media
4. The faries (especially Blue) knew how awful Cora was treating Regina. (TW Hints to Child Abuse) They could have saved her as a little girl, but they were too scared/pathetic to. Rumple set her life of torture in motion many many years before she was even born. Her destiny was a life of pain, and no one cared enough to help. Even her father who meant everything to her stood by.
Tumblr media
5. Emma and Henry in season 1. Don’t get me wrong I’m SwanQueen till I die. But Emma had no right whatsoever to Henry that first season. She acted like his adoption meant absolutely nothing, like those 10 years Regina raised Henry with love and care and devotion while she (by her own choice!) didn’t - were worthless. I could write an entire other post on this. But Emma also had no idea storybrooke wasn’t a normal town, so as far as she was aware she knew she was committing felony kidnapping. With a prison record. I mean how can she possibly think that was better for him, than with his mother who everyone including his teacher confirmed never harmed him. Regina was the adoptive mother Emma used to DREAM of when she was in the system, which is exactly where Henry could have ended up and she damn well knew it. Yes Regina was strict, probably too strict while trying to hold desperately onto him. But every time Henry (who was a little brat in season 1 let’s be honest) said Emma was his real mother (despite her giving him up), ran away to be with Emma, lied to Regina, called her Evil (when she’d never done anything ‘evil’ in front of him or to him) it literally felt like he ripped her heart out of her chest. She didn’t deserve that. At all. She loved that boy with everything in her. He was her true love, that never changed.

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 20- A Growing Family
Summary: America opens up to a caregiver when she discovers that she is a little in the dimension that she is in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yelena was the first to notice America sitting against the wall with her legs pulled to her chest. The young girl looked lost and overwhelmed. She walked up to her gently and got down to the girl’s level. “It’s okay. I’m not going to hurt you. My name is Yelena and I am y/n’s aunt.”
America clutched her legs closer to her body. Since coming into this dimension she felt younger and she didn’t understand why. Usually she was able to stay in check with her emotions; but right now all she wanted was to cry.
Yelena could feel her pheromones activating as she soon realized that the girl in front of her was a little. The girl physically looked to be around fourteen years old, but her little headspace looked to be anywhere between four to six years old. “I know you must be feeling overwhelmed right now. Do you want to go somewhere quieter?”
America nodded her head and took hold of the blonde woman’s hand. Something inside of her told her that Yelena could be trusted. A strong urge to suck her thumb came over her, she hadn’t sucked her thumb since she was four years old. “What is wrong with me?” She thought to herself.
Once they walked outside Yelena noticed the girl relax a little. She noticed that the girl was sucking her thumb, but decided not to bring it up. “Do you feel better? Our whole family is pretty loud and it can be a lot to take in. Were you the one to bring Y/n back?”
The girl nodded her head and took a minute to decide if she wanted to open up. Taking her thumb out of her mouth she nervously looked up at the blonde, “No, y/n was the one who opened the portal. But somehow we found each other and I did my best to take care of her… we found this place where there was a different Wanda and she took care of us.”
“A different Wanda? What was she like?” Yelena asked curiously.
“She was very nice and warm. She had a husband named Vision and two sons named Tommy and Billy. They even had a dog named Sparky!” America said excitedly. “The Wanda there offered me to stay with their family… but I wanted to make sure y/n made it back home to her moms.”
“That Wanda sounds like she has a wonderful life. I think you are very brave to bring y/n back home. Where is your home?” Yelena asked gently as she could see sadness spread on the girl’s face.
America looked down at the ground as she could feel tears fall down her cheeks. “It’s gone. I have no home.” For the first time since everything happened sobs erupted from her small body. “My moms are gone and I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I feel so small and alone.”
Yelena spoke softly in a comforting voice as she gently pulled the girl into her arms. “I’m so sorry about your moms and your home. I know everything is new and scary, but you’re safe here. There’s nothing wrong with you, here in this dimension I believe you are what’s called a, “little.” It basically means that your headspace drops to a young child or infant even if your body is older.” Yelena explained calmly as she could feel the girl cling to her shirt.
America took in the blonde’s words and explanation. It would take some getting used to for sure; but now being in Yelena’s arms she didn’t feel so lost and hopeless. Her sobs died down as she rested her head on Yelena’s shoulder and sucked on her thumb. Her voice dropped into a small quiet one, “wanna stay with you.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The blonde’s heart melted when she felt the girl fully drop into a little headspace. “Don’t worry little one, I'm not going anywhere.” She said as she held the small girl in her arms. After a while Yelena noticed that the girl had fallen asleep in her arms, she gently picked her up and carried her back inside.
You had also fallen asleep in your mama Natasha’s arms after she had breastfed you. You felt so much better to finally be back home.
Tony walks up to Natasha and Wanda, “Bruce and I created this bracelet for y/n. It will help keep her powers controlled, the bracelet will grow as she grows. We suspect that y/n’s powers were manifesting and that was why she became sick, and why she was able to open up a portal.” He says as he carefully placed the bracelet on your little arm. The bracelet glows a light blue as it syncs with your powers.
“Thanks Tony, you have no idea how thankful we are.” Wanda says as she gets up to hug him tightly.
Natasha looks around for the girl who carried you through the portal. She smiles when she sees her sister holding the girl in her arms. “You might need to create a bracelet for the young girl as well.” Natasha says as she points over to where Yelena is sitting.
Tony nods his head in agreement. “Any idea of what her powers are? From the looks of it, she may also be a little.” He says as he observes the girl sitting in Yelena’s lap.
Yelena feels like she's being watched, “take a picture it will last longer.” She says as she notices her sister and Tony are watching her.
Natasha transfers you into Wanda’s arms so that she can go talk with her sister. She can feel Yelena’s caregiver pheromones and takes note that her sister is already forming a bond with the girl in her lap. “I’m sorry sestra. Tony and I were just discussing if he needs to create a bracelet to help control her powers like y/n. Do you know her name and what powers she has?”
The blonde relaxes a little as she shakes her head, “She hasn’t told me her name yet. All I know is that her home is gone and so are her mothers. As for her powers I have no idea.” Yelena took a minute to think before continuing, “I want to keep her in my care. She seems to trust me and I can get answers to a lot of our questions.” She suggests as she rubs soothing circles on the girls back.
Tony nods his head in approval, “I think that’s the best call. The calmer the girl is, the calmer her powers will be. Fury wants us to do tests on her to determine if her powers are a threat. It’s standard protocol.”
Yelena nods her head in understanding. “I will be with her through all of the testing procedures. I’ve made a promise to her that she is safe. I won’t let anything happen to her.”
Natasha smiles warmly at her sister, “looks like you’ve found yourself your own little. Have you told Kate?”
“No, all this just happened. It’s happening so quickly, but I already feel so attached and protective over her.” Yelena spoke honestly about her own emotions. Was this what being a caregiver felt like? Was she already bonding to the girl?
Just as Natasha was about to respond she notices Kate and Lucky walk into the room.
“Hey, there you are. I couldn’t find you earlier. Oh, who is this little one?” Kate asks as she notices the little girl in her girlfriend’s arms. Lucky walks over and sniffs the girl.
“I’m not sure what her name is but she’s the one that helped bring y/n back home. She will be staying with us while we figure everything out. I know I should’ve talked to you first, but everything happened so fast and she dropped into a little headspace with me… She’s all alone and she’s scared.” Yelena says to Kate as she searches the brunette’s face.
Kate smiles warmly at Yelena, “are you telling me that we have our very own little?!” Kate asks excitedly as she feels her chest fill with joy.
Yelena nods her head, “for now yes. It will be the girls decision if she wants to stay with us permanently. I don’t want her to feel like she doesn’t have a choice.”
The bubbly brunette leans down and kisses Yelena on the lips, “I’m so excited! I’m going to get a room ready for her.” Love and hope fills her heart as she wonders what life will look like for them now that they may have found their very own little to care for.
America wakes up and looks up curiously at Kate, she clings to Yelena.
“It’s alright little one. This is my girlfriend Kate and our dog Lucky.” Yelena says as she introduces the girl to Kate.
“Hello, I’m Kate. What’s your name, little one?”
The girl gives a shy wave and answers in a quiet voice, “my name is America. Can I pet your dog?”
“Hi America, it’s nice to meet you. You can absolutely pet Lucky.” Kate says as she calls over Lucky and shows America how to pet him.
The cutest giggles come from America as Lucky licks her face when she pets him. She starts to relax with Kate and Yelena as they tell her that she will be staying with them.
Kate is surprised when she sees America walk over and sit in her lap. Her caregiver pheromones activate as she feels love and protective of the little girl she has just met.

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 19- Finding Home Again
Summary: Wanda and Natasha struggle with themselves while they deal with you still missing from their lives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been two weeks since you had disappeared and your mama’s were not faring well. Natasha had turned into a raging mama bear. She had busied herself with doing side missions which was damaging to her relationship with Wanda.
Wanda had locked herself in her room searching through timelines trying to find you through thousands of alternate timelines. It was painful to see versions of herself with her boys, Tommy and Billy. It was also painful to see Vision. Sure, she absolutely loved Natasha; but her and Vision had a special bond and she once loved him. Tears streamed down her face as she heard her boys laughing, she constantly had to remind herself that having her boys was not meant to be in her timeline and that the mission was to find you and bring you home.
Everyone on the team was worried about you and your mama’s. Alexei and Melina had tried to offer comfort to Natasha and Wanda, but both women were stubborn in handling your disappearance.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You need to get through to Wanda. She hasn’t come out of her room in two weeks. I know you’re hurting; but Wanda is also hurting. She must feel that she has no family. Nat, please don’t let this bring you two apart. Y/n will need both of her mama’s.” Yelena said as she walked beside her sister. They had just returned from a mission.
Natasha sighed as she bit her lip. She knew her sister was right… She was being stubborn and it was hurting the woman that she loved. It was just easier for her to ignore everything and fight bad guys to get out her frustration and panic. “You’re right, sestra. It’s just when I see her… I don’t know how to comfort her or be enough for her. Without y/n here it’s just so hard.” Natasha clenched her fists as she tried to stop her tears from spilling over. “I’m so fucking tired of crying! I just want to find my baby!” Before she could stop herself she had sunk down to her knees and sobs wracked through her small frame.
Yelena dropped down to her knees and pulled her sister into her arms and began to hum a soothing tune that Melina had hummed to them when they were children. “We will find her sestra. I have faith that y/n will be back with us.”
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Natasha used the key Wanda had given her and walked into Wanda’s room. Her heart broke when she saw how thin, tired and weak her girlfriend looked. Wanda was glowing red with her eyes closed while she sat in the middle of her bed. She approached slowly and whispered, “Wanda. Can you hear me?”
Wanda’s eyes opened and she turned to Natasha surprised to see that she was actually talking to her. Her lips trembled as the weight of everything was starting to affect her. Her eyes were bloodshot red and she had dropped a ton of weight from not eating, bags were under her eyes and her hair was messy. “I thought… I thought you had left me.”
The red glow of chaos magic dwindled down to nothing as Wanda began to sob. “I thought I had lost you too.”
Natasha climbed on the bed and pulled Wanda into her arms and kissed the top of her head, “I’m so sorry. I would never intentionally leave you. I just didn’t want you to see me so angry… I hurt the people I love when I’m angry and scared. And I’m not angry at you… I’m angry at myself because I should have grabbed her… but I wasn’t fast enough. And I’m angry at myself for leaving you alone… you’ve lost a family before and I can’t imagine how you felt with me gone as well and I’m sorry.”
Wanda clung to Nat as she listened to the woman she loved express her emotions and reasons for leaving her alone. It didn’t make the pain go away, but she understood where Nat was coming from. She had pushed everyone away as well and had avoided her own needs. In her mind she was just so focused on finding you that avoiding meals was like a punishment for her not being able to save you.
“I’m sorry I pushed you away… and everyone else. I just got obsessed with locating y/n. I think I’m close but I just don’t know.” Wanda leaned her head on Nat’s chest and focused on her heartbeat. The strong rhythm was comforting.
“Come, let’s go see everyone and get something to eat. We need to all work together in order to find y/n. From now on let’s come together instead of handling our emotions without each other. I love you, Wanda. We’re going to get our baby girl back.” Nat said as she helped Wanda out of bed.
The whole team stood up and hugged Natasha and Wanda as the two walked into the lounge room. Alexei and Melina were the first to hug the women. “My girls are finally together!” Alexei said as he squeezed them tightly. —---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanda tried everything she could to try to comfort you but you would not stop crying. “What is it, little one? Do you miss your mama?” Wanda asked as she tried to console you. Your cries were breaking her heart.
You missed your mama’s and you wanted them back but didn’t know how. You started to think about your mama Wanda and your mama Nat and your little hands started to glow blue.
Wanda’s eyes grew big as she felt really strong powers coming from you. Before she could call for Vision a giant portal opened up in front of her.
America ran into the room at the sound of a portal opening up. “That looks like the portal we came through! I knew it wasn’t my power that opened it last time.”
As your hands glowed blue you could see your mama’s through the portal and it made you happy. “Mama!” You squealed happily.
Vision gave a knowing look to his wife, “I think this little one has decided it’s time for her to go home.”
“What! But how do we know that she will make it home? She’s just a baby… I don’t want to just shove her through the portal alone!” Wanda shouted as she felt protective over you.
“I’ll go with her. I’ll make sure she gets home safe.” America said bravely as she reached her arms out to you.
“America, you don’t have to put your life in danger, you could stay here with us.” Wanda said as she felt protective of her as well. She felt torn.
America felt warmth at hearing that Wanda wanted her to stay and live with them. It was a hard choice; but she knew what she needed to do. “I know what it’s like to lose my parents… no one should go through that pain. Thank you for loving us and keeping us safe.”
Wanda and Vision both hugged America tightly before placing you in her arms. “Please take care and please be safe.”
America took a deep breath before stepping into the portal with you in her arms.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------
A giant blue portal opened up in front of all the Avengers including your mama’s. Everyone was arguing about who was going to go inside and investigate it.
Before Nat could walk near the portal she started to see someone coming out of the portal, she squinted her eyes to see if she could make out who or what was coming through.
America clutched you to her chest tightly as she finally made it through the portal, she felt scared as she looked around and saw several people watching her.
“Oh god it’s y/n! She’s back, our baby is back!” Wanda said as she walked up fast to the girl that was holding you. She didn’t know who the girl was, but she was just happy to see you alive and safe.
America tilted her head at realizing that the woman in front of her was a different version of the Wanda she had just said goodbye to. She didn’t know if she could trust this version of Wanda so she stepped away from the woman and clutched you tighter in her arms. “Please don’t hurt us.”
Wanda and Nat both softened their gaze as they eyed the young girl holding you. Nat got down to the girl’s level, “we’re not going to hurt anyone. The baby that you’re holding is our baby. Her name is y/n.”
You perked up when you heard your mama say your name and you made grabby hands towards them.
The girl looked down at you and then to the two women that looked relieved to see you. It was the same look her mothers had made when they saw that she was safe. She took a deep breath before handing you over to them.
Wanda and Natasha took you into their arms and began kissing you and hugging you. You made happy noises as you babbled to them. Everyone joined in on the celebration of you being reunited with your parents.
America stepped aside feeling overwhelmed by everything, she missed her moms and she missed the other Wanda and now that you were back home… she wondered where home would be for her.

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 18- Home Seems So Far Away
Summary: Both Wanda's come to a conclusion on how to get you home, but it seems so far out of reach.
Tumblr media
Vision let out an exhausted sigh as he walked out of the boys’ bedroom. He didn’t know how his wife was going to locate where you and America came from.
He gave a small smile to his wife who looked just as exhausted and puzzled as he did. “What a night, huh? Are the girls settled?”
Wanda nodded her head as she walked into her husband's open arms and placed her head on his chest. “America fell asleep on the couch and the little one is fast asleep in the crib. Vision, what are we going to do? It’s odd but the baby seems to know who I am.”
Vision's eyes grew big at Wanda’s statement. “Honey, do you think it’s possible she belongs to a version of yourself in an alternate timeline?”
Wanda gasped as she pulled away as the thought processed. “Vision, my love you’re a genius! Oh, but I don’t know how I would get in contact or find the right Wanda. I’d have to use chaos magic… and I just don’t like what it does to me.” Wanda said as she felt conflicted emotions arise.
“Honey, let’s head to bed. We can figure things out in the morning.” Vision said as he led his wife to the bedroom.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Is it possible Y/n is in an alternate timeline?” Carol asked the team of Avengers who were tirelessly trying to locate you.
It took a few minutes for Wanda to process what Carol was proposing to the team. “It’s possible. Y/n has powers but the portal that took her felt different. It didn’t feel like Y/n’s powers that whisked her away.”
Nat stood up and began to pace, “if y/n is on another timeline how the fuck are we going to locate her?” She half shouted as she began to pace even faster. She felt so helpless as she looked at her team who were all worried about her, Wanda, and you. “I’m sorry. I just… I just want to find our little Tiger.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy and Tommy sat at the kitchen table rubbing their tired eyes.
“Babies are so loud.” Billy said as he let out a loud groan.
Tommy groaned as well, as he put his head in his hands.
America looked just as tired as everyone else. The only one who seemed well rested was you.
You babbled happily when Wanda clipped you into the high chair. You ate the cereal puffs and scrambled eggs that she placed on the tray in front of you.
“Mama!” You squealed as you kicked your feet and stuffed your face.
“We’re going to find your mama, little one.” Vision said as he talked to you. He found you absolutely adorable even though you had woken up several times in the night crying to be fed.
The kids ate their breakfast as they watched cartoons from the living room tv. You babbled happily as you ate your food. Mealtimes always made you happy now that you were fully a little.
Wanda placed a sippy cup full of apple juice and placed it in front of you. “Here, little one. Are you thirsty?” She asked as she watched you drink happily.
Your eyes lit up as you tasted the sweet juice. Your real mama’s didn’t let you normally drink sugary drinks very often. If they did give it to you they normally filled your cup with water as well. You drank your juice so fast that you started to choke a little. Tears began to form as you started to cough.
“Slow down, little one.” Vision said as he saw you sucking down the juice. He moved quickly when he heard you begin to cough. You began to cry as you felt the juice go down the wrong pipe and you found it hard to breathe. Vision patted your back and spoke softly to you.
“It’s alright. You’re okay.” Vision said as he gently swayed back and forth once you had caught your breath.
Wanda felt scared when she heard you begin to cough but felt reassured when her husband jumped into action. She remembered when the boys were toddlers and had a habit of putting things in their mouths. “Is she alright, Vision?”
You laid your head on Vision's chest and let out a shaky sigh as you sniffled. You felt safe in his arms. It was a different type of safety you normally felt with your mama’s. It reminded you of when your uncle Clint or Tony held you.
“She’s perfectly fine. I think she just got excited when she got a taste of the apple juice. Her mama must not give her sweets very often.” He said as continued to gently rub your back.
The kids had all watched you choke and they looked relieved as they saw you relax in Vision’s arms. America walked up to you and patted your back gently as well. “I’m glad she will be okay. Have you found out how to get her back to her family?” America asked.
Wanda bit her lip nervously as she nodded her head. She looked at her boys, “boys why don’t you go give Sparky a walk? It’s about time he has one.” She told more than asked the boys. She didn’t want them to hear about chaotic magic.
Tommy and Billy both groaned as their shoulders dropped, “but mom… we want to hear how you and dad are going to find their parents.” Tommy argued.
“Boys, listen to your mother. Go on and walk Sparkly.” Vision said firmly.
Both boys crossed their arms in defeat and obeyed their parents as they grabbed Sparkly’s leash and walked out the front door.
America turned to face Vision and Wanda, “it’s not going to be easy finding her parents is it?”
Wanda let out a defeated sigh as she sat in front of America, “no, it’s not going to be easy. We think that you and her come from alternate timelines. In order to find the right one I will have to use chaos magic.”
“Is chaos magic bad?” America asked. “It isn’t always bad; but it can be. I don’t like how it makes me feel or who it turns me into; but I’m going to try to find her parents. Speaking of which, what about your parents?” Wanda asked after she explained the details of chaos magic.
America’s head hung low and for the first time she felt tears trickle down her face. “They’re gone. My home. My planet. My mom’s. Everything is gone.” Sobs erupted past her lips as she allowed herself to grieve.
Wanda moved quickly to pull the young girl into her arms. Wanda didn’t know what to say or how to respond. When her parents had died, the words of strangers never gave her any condolences. Sometimes it was just better to hold someone and offer them comfort.
Vision looked down at you asleep in his arms and then looked sadly at America who was grieving in Wanda’s arms, “don’t worry my dears. We will figure things out.”

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 17- A Whole New World
Summary: Y/n finds herself in the arms of a new mama.
Tumblr media
In an instant the portal had closed and taken you with it. Wanda and Nat lost their minds as they screamed and cried for you. Helen and Bruce ran in disheveled form from what they had just witnessed.
“Where the hell is she? Where is Y/n?! Oh god, where the fuck is our baby!” Wanda screamed as she felt like she was reliving losing the twins all over again.
Natasha was losing her shit as she cursed in Russian and demanded answers. The only problem was that no one had any answers to give. Angry and terrified tears fell down her cheeks as she reached down and picked up Tigey who had fallen on the floor. “My baby. My sweet girl, where are you?” She asked into Tigey’s fur as she brought him up to her face taking in your scent.
The room was swarmed with Avengers and Nick Fury who were doing their best to get more information about what had happened. Yelena did her best to comfort her sister who had gone from screaming to rocking back and forth in the corner of the room clutching your tiger to her chest.
Wanda looked to be doing the same as Natasha; but she was actually doing her best to not turn to the tome for answers. She could feel her dark chaotic magic sizzling at her fingertips. All she could think of was looking for you the same way she found the twins.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You cried as blue magic spiraled around you along with particles of the hospital room that you were just in. You felt dizzy and lost and you just wanted your mama’s. You squinted as you saw a portal in the shape of a star open up within your own portal.
A girl with short brown hair screamed and cried as she blasted into your portal. You were both crying for your moms. The girl looked terrified but seemed to calm down when she locked eyes with you.
The girl had brown eyes but along the iris of her eyes were blue stars that were electrifying to look at. She reached out her hand to you and gave a weak smile when you grasped her hand tightly.
You didn’t know how long you were spinning around in your portal, but it felt like eternity and you were starting to feel nauseous. The girl pulled you into her arms and you felt better knowing that you weren’t alone.
Your eyes drooped shut as you leaned your head on the girl's shoulder and thought about the warmth of being in your mama Wanda’s and mama Nat’s arms.
The portal came to a standstill before teleporting the both of you to an unknown dimension.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tommy and Billy ran around in their backyard playing with their dog Sparky. Sparky yipped and barked as he could sense something otherworldly about to happen.
“What’s wrong, boy?” Tommy asked as he bent down to pet his dog and reassure him. Sparky only ever barked when he and his brother played too rough.
Billy’s eyes grew big as a bright blue portal opened up in their backyard and dropped a girl holding a baby onto their lawn. “Tommy, go get mom!” He said with fear laced in his voice.
The portal closed and the girl held you close to her chest as she backed away from the two boys who were watching her closely. She had only met you, but she was protective of you. “Stay away.” Her voice quivered as she backed herself up against the white picket fence.
“Boys!” Wanda yelled as she came outside to see what all the yelling was. Vision followed behind her. Their eyes grew big at seeing you crying in the girls arms.
Vision walked over to his boys, “let’s go inside, boys. Mom will get everything sorted. Come on Sparky.”
Wanda took a deep breath to calm down as she kneeled down in front of the girl with starlight eyes. “I’m not going to hurt you. You’re safe. My name is Wanda. What’s yours?”
Before the girl could answer you made grabby hands towards the woman in front of you and babbled, “mama!” You didn’t understand that the Wanda in front of you wasn’t your mama.
Wanda was taken aback as she looked at you confused. When she stretched her arms towards you, the girl pulled you closer to her chest. She frowned a bit by the girl's hesitancy to trust, but could sympathize with how scared the girl must be.
It took some time for the girl to relax enough to walk inside Wanda’s house. She couldn’t figure out why you kept reaching for the woman with red hair. In a scared fragile voice the girl spoke, “I don’t know where she came from. All I know is that… my magic opened a portal and when I opened my eyes there was a baby in front of me. I just want my moms and I think she does too.”
Wanda sat in front of the girl and gave her full attention. “Thank you for telling me what happened. I know all of this must be very scary. You can stay here with us until we figure out how to get you both back home.” She could tell that the girl was still holding back a lot of information, but for now she would have to earn her trust.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vision ran to the store to grab baby products as it had been a while since the boys were that young. He got a lot of weird looks from the people in town, but paid them no mind.
The girl had finally handed you over to Wanda and had inched closer to Sparky who was curious to make a new friend.
Billy kneeled down in front of the girl and petted Sparky, “it’s okay. He doesn’t bite.”
Tommy chuckled, “unless you’re the mailman.”
The girl smiled as she reached out and pet Sparky. Her shoulders relaxed as the two boys talked to her and showed her all of their toys.
Wanda held you in her arms and inspected you. She noticed that you were dressed in a hospital gown with little tigers on it. She also noted that you felt warm to the touch. “Who are you little one?”
You became fussy as you quickly realized that the woman holding you looked like your mama, but she was not. “Mama! Mama!” Big tears fell down your face as you rubbed your tired eyes.
Wanda went into mommy mode and rocked you in her arms. She didn’t know who you belonged to, but for now she would care for you as if you were her own. “It’s okay. We’re going to find your mama. She felt relieved when her husband walked through the door carrying bags of groceries.
Billy and Tommy helped Vision set up one of their old cribs and high chairs, “Dad, are you and mom gonna adopt them? Are we going to have sisters?” Billy asked in a hushed voice.
Vision thought about his son’s questions and answered carefully, “Mom and I are going to work real hard to find their parents; but for now they are going to stay with us. I need both of you to treat them real nice, because right now they are both feeling scared. Can you do that for your mom and me?”
Both boys nodded their heads as they hugged their dad after setting everything up.
Everyone sat at the table eating dinner. You had mashed potatoes all over your face as you ate happily. You were still confused as to where your mama’s were, but you were safe.
Quietly the girl spoke up as the room quieted down, “my name is America Chavez.”

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 16- Fevered Magic
Summary: Y/n faces a medical mystery.
Tumblr media
You fussed as you threw your sippy cup filled with lactose milk on the ground. It didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t your mama’s milk. No matter how many times you signed to your mama’s that you wanted them to feed you, they just kept handing you back your sippy cup.
“Y/n, drink your milk. It’s good milk.” Wanda said as she took a sip from your (favorite color) sippy cup. She smiled as she handed it back to you.
You took a few sips and rubbed your tired eyes. Not only had you been fussy about your mama’s giving you less breast milk, but you were also teething.
Natasha scooped you in her arms as she held your sippy cup for you and began to sway in a gentle motion. She frowned when she felt how hot your forehead felt when she leaned down to kiss your head. “Wanda, will you bring me the thermometer? Y/n, feels a little warm.”
Your mama’s doted on you as you continued to fuss in their arms. “Do you think we should take her in for a checkup?” Wanda asked as she frowned at the thermostat that read 102.5 fahrenheit.
“Let’s give her some medicine and maybe a special mommy popsicle (frozen breastmilk) and see how she does.” Nat said as she took you to the kitchen and placed you in your high chair, her heart shattered as you cried at being put down. “I know my baby. You don’t feel good do you? Don’t worry, we are going to make you feel better.”
You screamed and cried when your mama Nat put a syringe of icky yucky medicine in your mouth and made you drink it. Your face was red from the fever and sticky medicine. When it came to taking medicine, you were the worst. You would often spit it out and your mama Wanda would have to hold your hands away from your face.
After Nat was satisfied with the amount of medication you actually swallowed she grabbed a “mom pop” from the freezer and handed it to you.
Your face lit up as you reached for the popsicle and happily stuck it in your mouth. The coldness from the popsicle instantly soothed your gums and the taste of the milk comforted you.
Wanda worked fast to take your shirt off. You were going to need a bath after you finished your little snack. Something in her gut told her that your fever was due to more than just teething, but she couldn’t put her finger on it.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanda felt uneasy as she watched you sleep. The bath did little to lower your fever. Natasha had already called Helen and asked to keep a spot open in case they needed to come in. She also called Pepper to ask if maybe Peter was down with a bug.
“This doesn’t make sense. I mean I know she is teething; but she shouldn’t be this sick. Peter and all the kiddos who were at the party are completely fine.” Nat said as she paced back and forth.
“I think we should take her to Helen… Do you think it could have anything to do with her powers? Did she ever tell you when she got her powers? Wanda asked as she focused on your chest rise and fall.
Nat bit her lip and shook her head as she let out a long sigh. “All she told me was that she started to experiment with her powers when she was a little girl, and because of that she lost her whole family. From what she’s told me her magic was pretty strong.”
Wanda teared up at the thought of you carrying the guilt of killing your whole family. You and Nat had never talked to her about your past in regards to your powers. She understood how uncontrolled chaotic magic could hurt others. She wondered if your magic was similar to her chaotic magic. After she lost her boys and Vision, she stopped using the tome to research her powers deeper.
“Wanda? Are you alright?” Nat asked as she looked at her girlfriend with concern shining in her eyes.
Wanda tried her best to pull herself out from her thoughts. She gave a weak smile to Nat, “I’m alright. I’m just worried.”
You let out small whimpers as you started to wake up. Your whole body hurt and you felt cold even though you were wearing a warm onesie. Tears leaked down the side of your face right before your mama Nat scooped you up.
“What’s wrong, malen'kiy?” Your mama did her best to soothe you as she rubbed your back, she frowned when she felt heat radiating off of you. “We need to get her to Medbay. Call Bruce too, we need to get to the bottom of this. I’m going to get y/n ready.” Nat said as she rushed in getting your diaper bag all packed, making sure to pack your Tigey.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
You cried deep painful cries as your mama’s rushed you into Medbay. There Bruce and Helen worked fast to get you admitted into a room where they could monitor you. Your fever had reached a worrisome degree and the medical staff were working hard to get your temperature to drop.
They had you hooked up to an IV drip so that you wouldn’t be dehydrated. Both of your mama’s had to hold you down as they put the needle into your tiny arm. Hearing your cries broke everyone’s hearts.
After what felt like hours you had started to calm down and you nuzzled your tear streaked face into your mama Wanda’s neck and let out a tired whimper. The medication that Helen had given you was starting to lower your temperature and take some of the aches and pains away.
Bruce walked into the room with a tablet in his hand. “On a physical level y/n is teething, but on the superhuman level, we don’t have enough data on her powers to be certain that they are causing her to be sick. I think it’s best if we keep her here for a few days to run more tests.”
Nat nodded her head in agreement, “whatever it takes we will do. I just don’t want y/n to be in any more pain like how she was today.”  She leaned down and placed a kiss on the top of your head.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you slept you whimpered from terrible nightmares that were plaguing you. Images from your past haunted you as you saw blue magic explode from your hands killing your whole family along with the Hydra soldiers who had come to take you away from your family. Your body trembled as your whimpers turned to cries of distress.
Wanda and Nat watched in horror as they ran to your side as blue magic shot out from your little hands opening up a portal that was sucking everything into it and was growing bigger by the second.
Your eyes flew open as you cried, “mama!” You felt the pull of the portal and before they could even grab you, your small body flew through the portal.
Authors Notes: Ooof, I know I've left you all on a cliffhanger, but I promise it's for a good reason. In the next few chapters we are going to learn more about y/n's magical powers as well as meet other characters/little's.

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 15- It's a Wild One!
Summary: Y/n celebrates her first birthday surrounded by her tiger friends and family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The apartment was chaotic to say the least. Everyone was getting ready for your birthday party which was just a day away. Since your hospital stay your grandparents have taken turns with Yelena and Kate to watch you. There was never a time when you weren’t by yourself.
You stood up in your playpen and held onto the handles of your standing activity walker that your auntie Kate had bought you. Of course every time you stood up everyone would stop what they were doing to watch you. Although you had managed to take a few steps with the walker, you still didn’t feel safe enough to walk all on your own.
Kate sat in front of you as she encouraged you to walk forward. She had been assigned to sit and play with you since she had been standing around in the chaos looking like a lost puppy. “Good job, Y/n! You’re going to be walking before we know it.”
You giggled as you took small unbalanced steps towards your aunt. You were thankful that your mama’s had invested in footed onesies that had grips on them.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Wanda, are you sure all the invites have been sent out? Also, what time are we supposed to pick up the cake?” Natasha asked as she ran around the apartment making sure that they had everything packed for the party.
Wanda let out a sigh as she nodded her head, “yes Detka. I am positive. I even had Fury send an invite to Carol. Also, Yelena and Kate are picking up the cake. I think we have everything ready for tomorrow.”
Natasha let out the breath she had been holding in. “I’m sorry love, I just want Y/n to have the best first birthday ever.
Melina and Alexei joined in on the conversation, “our little tiger is going to have the best birthday ever! We have the whole zoo to ourselves and our Kate Bishop has set up the best security for the event. What could go wrong?”
Everyone looked at Kate and gave her a knowing look before everyone let out a chuckle as they recalled the time you had wandered off while you were in her care.
“Don’t worry on top of Bishop Security, Y/n will have her harness on as well as a tracking device pinned to her birthday outfit. On top of that most of our guests are literal super heroes. I don’t think y/n will be getting into any tiger exhibits this time around.” Kate said as she picked you up and tickled you, earning the sweetest giggles.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You sat up in your crib and smiled big when you saw a giant tiger balloon tied to your crib. You made grabby hands at it as you did your best to stand in your crib.
Nat and Wanda both smiled when they saw that you had woken up on the baby cam. They were both filled with a mixture of emotions at knowing that you were now 1 years old. “Let’s go get our baby ready for her big day.” Nat said as she placed a reassuring kiss on Wanda’s temple.
“Mama!” You babbled as you finally managed to pull yourself to a standing position.
“Happy Birthday, Y/n! You’re growing up little tiger. We’re going to have such a fun day today!” Wanda said as she picked you up and cuddled you. She smiled when she saw you sign the word “milk” in sign language. “Are you hungry sweet girl?”
Again you signed “milk” as you put your fingers in your mouth.
Wanda worked fast to change your diaper as she had noticed that you were starting to develop a rash.
After she had changed you she handed you over to Natasha, “the party isn’t until noon so, let’s wait until later to dress her into her party outfit.” Wanda said as she placed your party dress on the changing table.
Nat laughed as you pulled at her shirt impatiently. She pulled up her shirt and brought you up to her full breast. Since your last checkup, Cho had told them to start transitioning you to solids and that when you turned one that it was okay to give you cow’s milk. She personally didn’t want to wean you from breastmilk. She loved the connection that breastfeeding provided for her. Lovingly she looked down at you as you suckled hungrily.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your eyes lit up as your mama Nat carried you through the zoo and you saw tiger balloons everywhere. “Rawrrr!” You roared cutely as you pointed to every balloon that you saw.
Natasha laughed as she played along with you by roaring and pointing at all of the balloons, “that’s right y/n! All tigey’s go rawr!” Nat of course knew that most tigers don’t actually roar, they make more of a chuffing sound; but explaining that to a one year old would be too difficult.
As soon as Nat walked through the entrance to the Tiger exhibit your face lit up, as everyone that you loved shouted, “Happy Birthday, y/n!” You squealed happily as you clapped your hands excitedly. Everyone was dressed up in tiger onesies.
Everyone passed you around admiring how cute you looked in your orange tiger tutu dress. Your mama Wanda had also managed to find tiger print shoes to complete your outfit.
“Can I see y/n? Dad, can I hold her?” Peter asked excitedly as he bounced up and down. He was clearly hyper from drinking a bit too much soda.
Tony chuckled as he held you in his strong arms, he looked down at his son who absolutely adored you. “Hold on, kiddo. How about you and y/n play in the bounce house? You have to be careful with y/n though, because she doesn’t know how to walk yet. Do you think you can do that, buddy?”
Peter nodded his head as he looked up at his dad with love and adoration, “I’ll protect her daddy. I’ll be super careful. I pwomise.”
Tony walked with Peter to the bounce house and helped you crawl inside the entrance which was shaped like a tiger's mouth.
You giggled as Peter helped you stand up by holding your hands. You felt wobbly as your friend lightly jumped. Your giggles drew everyone’s attention and soon your mama’s were snapping pictures of you and Peter.
“Look dad! Y/n is jumping with me!” Peter said as he jumped a bit too excitedly.
You let out a cry as you landed on your bottom, the sudden movement scared you to the point where you felt tears leave your eyes.
Tony who was standing closest to the entrance was quick to grab you. He could see the panic in his son’s eyes, “it’s alright Bambi. You did nothing wrong.” He said as he tried his best to now comfort two crying littles.
Wanda was quick to take you into her arms so that she could thoroughly check you for any injuries. She carried you over to where Nat was standing, “I told you that the bounce house wasn’t a good idea.”
Nat cringed as she bit her lip, “I couldn’t help it. It goes great with the theme; and look Peter is loving it.” Nat let out a laugh as they both looked over at the bounce house and saw that Tony was jumping with Peter and Clint’s kids. “Good thing we packed a first aid kit.”
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You rubbed your eyes tiredly as you began to suck on your finger. You fussed as you started to feel tired and hungry.
“Alright everyone, it’s time for cake!” Wanda and Nat both said loud enough for everyone to hear.
Melina placed you in your highchair and placed an orange tiger cupcake in front of you. Alexei carefully lit the candle and held the cupcake in case you tried to grab the flame.
Yelena and Kate took pictures of everyone singing happy birthday to you.
Wanda and Natasha helped you blow out the candle as everyone cheered loudly. Even the tigers chuffed happily as you dug your hands into the cupcake in front of you.
You demolished your cupcake as you had frosting all over your face and all in your hair. All your friends and family ate cake and cupcakes, Peter looked just as messy as you if not messier.
“Nat, next time remind me to not dress the kid in a white shirt.” Tony laughed and cringed at the same time as he watched Peter’s shirt change from white to orange.
Pepper piped in, “honey, You should already know that Peter should never wear white. Most of the time he misses his mouth when he eats.”
The whole table erupted in laughter as they watched you and Peter eat cake.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thankfully Pepper and Wanda had been smart and had packed a change of clothes for you and Peter. “They are going to sleep great tonight.” Pepper said as she could see her sweet boy fighting sleep.
You felt better once you were less sticky and had a fresh diaper on. You clung to your mama as you placed your head on her shoulder.
“Aww, y/n. Are you sleepy, malen'kiy” Wanda asked as she rubbed your back, “we still have presents to open and then you can take a nap.”
Wanda sat you on your play mat that was full of big colorful boxes and bags. Immediately you crawled to the biggest box and pulled at the paper. Ever since Christmas you understood what presents were.
Melina and Alexei watched excitedly as you crawled over to the present that they had got you.
Your eyes lit up as you saw that your Dedu and Babu had gifted you a Daniel the Tiger ride along toy. It could be used as a wagon, ride-on, and a scooter for when you grew up.
Yelena and Kate got you the cutest outfits ever as you were growing out of your clothes. They also gifted you a ball pit with little pastel colored plastic balls. Recently you had discovered how to grab and throw things.
Wanda of course wasn’t a fan of the ball pit, but she couldn’t be too upset about something that would bring you an endless amount of joy.
One by one you went through all of the presents; you were surrounded by wrapping paper in every color of the rainbow. Eventually it turned into you and Peter  falling asleep on the giant stuffed animal Tiger that he had gifted you.
All the party guests gushed over how cute you and Peter looked as you both crashed from the sugar high. Nat, Wanda, and Tony took pictures of the two of you sleeping.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The adults all worked together to take down the decorations and clean up the mess of the party. Alexei and the Avengers team worked together to load up all of the gifts in Nat and Wanda’s mom van.
You rubbed your eyes sleepily as you woke up from your nap. You carefully sat up and looked around for your mama’s. You spotted them cleaning and taking down some of the party decorations.
“Mama…Mama.” You babbled as you pulled yourself up using the giant stuffed animal to your advantage. Your legs wobbled as you took your first true steps towards your mama’s.
Nat was the first to hear your sweet babbles, she immediately turned her attention to you, “Wanda turn around! She’s walking!”
You continued to babble as you walked straight to Wanda and Nat who were now kneeling in front of you with their arms outstretched to you.
As soon as you reached your mama’s you were scooped up in their arms as they kissed you from head to toe, “You did it! Y/n, you’re such a big girl!” Nat said as she felt tears form in her eyes. Wanda was also a crying mess as they celebrated your milestone.
Everyone joined in on the celebration and joined in on quite possibly the biggest group hug ever. You revealed the love and joy surrounding you and you couldn’t wait to celebrate many many more birthdays.

The Tales of a Little Tiger: Chapter 14- To Learn Means We Must Also Fall
Summary: Y/n has started to learn how to crawl and pull herself up into a standing position. Wanda gets hit with guilt when she leaves y/n unsupervised for a few seconds and y/n ends up falling down. This is a hurt/comfort chapter. Trigger warning for brief mention of blood.
Tumblr media
A month had passed and you had learned how to crawl and move about the apartment. Your mama Nat had baby proofed the apartment so that you couldn’t get into things that were dangerous for little hands. On top of learning how to crawl you were now testing physics and learning how to pull yourself up to a standing position.
To say your mama’s were overprotective was an understatement. They never left you out of their sight and you often heard them tell you to be careful. You had fallen a few times and it had startled you into fits of tears, but thankfully your mama’s were always right there to comfort you.
This week your mama Natasha was away for the week for a work trip. She had promised Wanda that she wouldn’t be in the field, but that she was needed at the Avenger’s compound.
Your mama Wanda sat on the floor playing with you as you played with some colorful blocks in front of you. A ringing sound caught your attention as you looked up from your blocks to look for the source of the sound.
Wanda heard her phone ring from the bedroom where it was plugged into the charger. She wrestled with herself on whether she should bring you with her to the bedroom to grab her phone, or if she could run and get it. “I’ll  be back y/n. Stay here and play with your blocks, I need to go get my phone.”
You watched as your mama stood up and walked away. You wanted to see where she had run off to, so you reached for the couch and used all your strength to pull yourself up. You had managed to make a few steps forward but the floor was slippery from wearing your tiger footed onesie.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wanda sighed as she looked at her phone. It had been a spam caller and not Natasha, she always felt nervous when Nat went on missions. A piercing cry from the living room broke her out of her thoughts as she ran out of the bedroom.
“Oh god, y/n! What happened baby?” Wanda asked as she picked you up from the floor.
You were lying on your back crying and screaming, your face was red and turning blue as you were holding your breath. Your head hurt and you were in so much pain. The last thing you remember was taking a step and feeling your head thud against something hard.
Wanda worked fast to check your head and she felt her heart drop when she saw that you had busted your head open. A million thoughts clouded her mind and she couldn’t think straight. She had seen horrible things as an Avenger; but the moment she saw her baby bleeding, she couldn’t snap into action. It was like she was frozen in fear.
She grabbed her phone and dialed Natasha but cursed when she kept getting a voicemail. Quickly she dialed Melina and hoped that your Babu would know what to do.
“Wanda, what’s wrong? Is that y/n?” Melina asked as she was concerned that Wanda had actually called her. She felt a pit in her stomach at hearing your screams.
“Y/n fell and busted her head and I can’t get a hold of Natasha. I… I don’t know what to do. She won’t stop crying and I don’t think she’s getting enough oxygen because her face is turning blue.” Wanda said frantically as she did her best to reassure you. She knew that her caregiver pheromones were probably not helping since she was not in a calm state.
Melina worked fast and directed Wanda on what to do as she grabbed her phone and spammed Yelena and Natasha with messages. “Wanda, I know this is hard but I need you to level out your breathing. Tap into your caregiver role. Y/n is experiencing something called breath-holding. It’s common for babies and children when they experience shock, pain or fear. I’ve called an ambulance to pick you and y/n up and take you to Medbay.”
Wanda honed into herself as she took a few deep breaths. Within a few seconds she could feel you begin to relax into her arms. She let out a sob when she heard you begin to breathe again and your cries had died down a bit. “It’s going to be okay, y/n. We’re going to make you feel better.”
Melina stayed on the phone with Wanda the whole time. She had to stop herself from grabbing her things and rushing to the hospital. It would take her hours to get there, so the best she could do was keep Wanda calm.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You screamed and cried as Dr. Cho made quick work to get you checked out. She made orders to check for any internal damage and or brain damage.
“Wanda, we’re going to keep Y/n and make sure that her tests come back clear for brain damage. She’s going to need stitches in the meantime. Can you hold her while I stitch her up?” Dr. Helen Cho asked as she handed you back to your mama.
Wanda was thankful that Melina had stayed on the phone with her because she was overwhelmed with so many emotions. Especially since she had to hold you while Cho stitched you up. She felt like a horrible mother for leaving you unsupervised, even if it was only for a few seconds.
“Wanda, you’re doing great. I got a hold of Yelena and she and Nat are on their way. How’s y/n?” Melina asked as she could tell that you were starting to settle down.
“I think she’s starting to feel better. The doctor has her stitched up and they gave her some liquid pain medicine. God, I’m such a bad mom. I shouldn’t have left her to answer the damn phone!” Wanda said as she started to feel her emotions rise up.
Melina knew all too well what Wanda was feeling as she had also hated seeing her girls get hurt. It always broke her heart in knowing what Dreykov had planned for Natasha and Yelena, it was like a generational curse that they all could not break free from. “Wanda, listen to me okay? This was all just an accident. You are not a bad mama. Babies and children fall all the time, it is a part of them learning how to interact with the world around them. As much as we would like to put our babies into bubbles and shield them from danger, we cannot. They must fall in order to learn.”
“She’s right, you know. You’re doing great Wanda.” Cho said as she placed a reassuring hand on the redhead’s shoulder. “Come, let's get you settled in a room. In a bit I will have someone come and take an image of y/n’s brain.”
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Natasha and Yelena rushed to Medbay the moment that they had looked at their phones and seen that their mother had left hundreds of text messages on each of their phones. Some of them were not very kind and may or may not have contained curse words in Russian.
Nat wanted to vomit as she had felt guilty that Wanda had to handle everything on her own. It must have been terrifying to witness you get injured as a baby. The last time you had been to Medbay it had been when you were in a little headspace but in your adult body. A fall was much scarier with you being in an infant’s body rather than an adult one.
“Wanda? Oh god, I am so sorry. How’s y/n? Where is she?” Nat asked a million questions as she looked around frantically for you. She took her hoodie off as she noticed that Wanda was shaking and that the front of her shirt was covered with dried blood. “Here love, put this on.”
Wanda didn’t know what to say as she took the hoodie into her hands. She felt as though she was slipping into a state of shock.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yelena had taken Wanda’s phone and had let her mama know that they had arrived at the hospital. “I will keep you updated on y/n. Thank you for staying with Wanda, she’s pretty shaken up.”
“Your father and I are packing and heading to the hospital. It will take us some time to get there but Wanda and y/n are going to need our support. Don’t tell Natasha, I don’t want her worried about anything else. She needs to be there for Wanda.” Melina said as she was quick to throw things into her suitcase. The moment Alexei had found out he was adamant about making the trip to the hospital.
“Be safe driving here. I’ll see you in a few hours. Love you.” Yelena told her parents as she hung up and found her sister holding Wanda in her arms. She had never seen the redhead so pale and anxious.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had felt like hours had gone by before Dr. Cho walked into the waiting room to let your family know how you were doing. “Good news is that I didn’t see any sign of internal bleeding. We are going to keep her for a few days to evaluate her. When she was last here she did experience non-epileptic seizures, and I want to make sure that the head injury doesn’t trigger any seizure activity. As for now she is stable and we have her in a private room.”
Wanda let out a relieved sob as she got up and hugged Helen, “Thank you for everything.” Although they had received good news, she knew better than to get her hopes up. You still weren’t out of the woods yet. “Can we go and see her?”
Helen nodded her head, “yes. You and your family are more than welcome to stay with her. We just ask that you don’t excite her too much. She needs to rest. If you need anything just let one of the nurses know.”
Wanda and Nat walked hand in hand into your hospital room and smiled sadly at you. You looked so tiny in the Medbay crib hooked up to all the wires monitoring your vitals.
You were sleeping soundly and sucking on a pacifier which you only did when your mama’s weren’t around to soothe you.
“This is all my fault.” Wanda said as she walked over to the crib and ran her fingers gently through your hair. She made sure to be careful not to touch the bandage that was wrapped securely around your head.
“Wanda, this isn’t your fault. I shouldn’t have put my phone on silent and I should’ve been the one to comfort you. I have failed you both and I’m sorry. We can blame ourselves all we want, but that’s not going to help the situation. What we are both feeling is valid; but feelings aren’t always the truth.” Nat said as she rubbed her girlfriend’s back.
Wanda nodded her head in understanding, “I know. I’m sorry. It’s just I was so scared. I froze when I saw her lying there screaming and crying. Your mom had to coach me through everything. When Tommy or Billy got hurt, I always knew what to do; but seeing her bleeding and crying and not breathing… It's something that will always haunt me.”
Nat didn’t know what to say as she couldn’t imagine what it must have been like. Would she have done the same? There were very few things in life that triggered her fear response. Not many things caused her to freeze on the spot; but the thought of you bleeding on the floor, made her blood turn cold.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Around 3 a.m you woke up whimpering from pain and hunger. You relaxed immediately when your mama Wanda had picked you up. “Mama.” You whimpered as you pressed your face into the crook of her neck.
“Oh, malen'kiy. It’s alright. Your mama’s are right here. Are you hungry, y/n?” Wanda asked as she soothed you.
Natasha helped Wanda take off her hoodie and shirt so that she could nurse you. Their breastmilk would help speed up the healing process, so she was thankful that your appetite hadn’t been affected.
You latched on immediately and made happy eating noises as you suckled from Wanda’s breast. Yelena and Natasha both chuckled as they watched you enthusiastically eat.
Once you had finished and Wanda had finished burping you, the pain returned to your head and you grew fussy when your mama moved your hands away from the bandage wrapped around your head.
Yelena could tell that you were uncomfortable and most likely in pain. She had had her fair share of head injuries as a child and adult and they weren’t fun. “I’m going to go find a nurse. I think y/n is due for another round of pain medicine.”
You made grabby hands towards your mama Nat as you hadn’t seen her in what felt like forever. Tears fell down your face as you did your best to regulate your emotions. Your mama laid you on her chest so that you could listen to the sound of her heartbeat.
A nurse walked in and made quick work to check all of your vitals. She held a small syringe filled with strawberry flavored medicine up to your lips and carefully gave you the medicine. It wasn’t the best tasting, but it was definitely better than the taste of peas so you swallowed it with little to no issue.
“I’ve also given her a dose of anti-nausea along with the pain medication. It may make her drowsy so if you aren’t holding her please make sure that she stays in her crib.”
“I have a feeling that we won’t be putting her down anytime soon.” Natasha chuckled as she cuddled you and rubbed your back soothingly.
Just as the nurse was about to leave the room Melina and Alexei burst through the door.
“We’re here! Now where is my vnushka? (granddaughter)” Melina asked as she instantly relaxed when she saw you snuggled in her daughter's lap.
You opened your eyes as you had heard familiar voices. When you saw your grandparents you smiled up at them, “Babu… Dedu!”
