The legend, Renée Scroggins (of pioneering South Bronx-born, post funk/punk band, ESG) takes the stage ahead of ESG’s performance at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, California. The event opened with a special screening of Renee’s documentary, “Are You Serious? The ESG Story”.
The Breeders ‘Last Splash’ 30th Anniversary tour. San Francisco, California. October 23rd (Warfield) and *24th (The Chapel), 2023.
*The Chapel show was announced last minute, around 24 hours before show time. It was billed as a special “evening with The Breeders” held in a small, 450-persons max venue. There was no opening act. The band played their album “Last Splash” from beginning to end, played a few cover songs, and they played songs from their essential 1990 debut, “Pod”. An amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“World Record”. Undated chapbook (2001). By Charles Tillman.
Excerpts from “World Record”, an experimental chapbook released c. 2001.
Each page was hand written and drawn on with charcoal, oil sticks and colored pencils. The books were individually produced, handmade, and then given away (anonymously).
Less than five copies of World Record exist. It was not photocopied nor “reproduced”. These photos were recently sent to me by the only person I had given a copy to.
