It’s an old tradition that during a leap year women could propose to men. This was usually depicted as old or ugly women trapping men, but some art focused more on the role reversal and could be quite cute.

I have a soft spot in my heart for the last one because it plays on the idea of “undesirable” people, a tall masculine woman and a shy effeminate man, finding each other but instead of mocking them depicts it as sweet that she could finally ask him because he was too shy and insecure to ask her.

#gall bladder stones #one of them got stuck and caused an attack during which I was in constant pain for 48 hours #I could not sleep or really eat without throwing up because of the pain and I was still throwing up after my stomach was completely empty #I laid in bed without ever finding a comfortable position until the second morning when I was finally taken to ER #I received strong pain meds straight to the vein and I learned why people get addicted to that stuff #the relief was orgasmic and I instantly fell asleep #I later learned that I was very close to getting a pancreatic infection that could have killed me if I wasn't brought in
