headcanon for buddie going canon this season:

i just think it would be perfect if chris was somehow involved in this and with chris dating sl from ep1 if that continues throughout the season, what if there’s a scene with buck, chris and eddie and chris says something like “how can you give me advice when you won’t even tell eachother that you love each other” and buck and eddie just give each other a look and buck is like “we’re did you get that from buddy?” and chris is like “well i mean it’s obvious” now i do think this would have to come after eddie starting to realise it for himself and he’s maybe not as straight as he thought.

something i have mixed feelings about but would make sense is buddie going canon through a drunken hookup followed by it was a mistake (not actually a mistake) (feel free to steal this for fic ideas)

like they get drunk together and are in bucks loft or something (probs not if it’s getting destroyed but go with it for now) and they’re on his couch eddie makes a comment about how uncomfortable his couch is they’re chatting giggling away then they both fall silent and eddie stares at buck and just says something like “you’re pretty” and buck says something like “yeah? why don’t you prove it?” then they kiss and hook up

fast foward to the morning eddie wakes up and is like fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck runs outta there

at the firehouse everyone can tell something is off between them they keep avoiding each other and acting strange and they make comments about it

eventually they talk about but it’s like “ok so we’re never gonna talk about this to anyone right?” they agree and get back to “normal”

eventually one of them cracks (or even better both of them at the same time) and tells someone idk eddie tells hen or buck tells maddie and they encourage them to talk to the other and be honest about how they’re feeling and so they do!

what if:

eddie let’s down his date (spoiler video) and he never even said why then in the penultimate episode love is in the air, starts making comments about buck and his new love interest maybe like oh he’s spending less time with chris etc and Hen or someone is like is it really just buck spending less time with chris your upset about ? you sure there’s not more? then he realises he’s in love with buck and in the finale they get together
