…Jlo needs other people to react off of. She’s not an actress with the caliber to hold the screen by herself.
Her inability to listen is effecting this performance. She and that voice over don’t even seem like they’re in the same scene. How long is she going to be with just that robot?
She’s doing a lot of breathing-acting when she’s trying to be “intense.” She should be investing in an acting coach as well the vocal coach. At least the acting has a real possibility for improvement.
All these awesome actors and it looks like they’re regulated to cameos.
I’ll probably watch because I like the sci-fi scenery/production design (until they get to that mountain desert area), but this looks like another bust.
DIEGO!!! He’s not huge but he is a name and much better than some complete unknown. I don’t know who this other guy is but he’s playing the Molina part and I see he was born in …1993. Is Jlo being for real right now? Colman Domingo is out there somewhere trying to play Michael Jackson’s dad (who cares about that man?! He didn’t make Thriller!), when he could be doing this. But he can really sang(!) so maybe that was just too intimidating for Jlo.
My interest level has gone up in this. I might be even be excited.
Also AE jumping on board this still doesn’t improve the future optics of the other movie Ben is doing. It just doesn’t. Especially not for Jlo. Especially not right now.
I thought the Easter weekend pap strolls with the more subtle (for jlo) fashion was about building a new image but no.
She’s still out here with her stupid furs trying to look like a mob wife. Maybe she wants to be subpoenaed and investigated for perjury as well as aiding and abetting.
If anything she should be laying low.
It’s funny her next movie takes place in a prison.
Jlo at Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. I guess this is where she’s making Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Also I guess her kids get dragged and pulled out of school whenever she has work. Or Ben didn’t want them around while he’s “working.” But again he’s not their dad. Where is their dad?! Eduction, stability and foundation just don’t seem like a priority in Jlo’s “parenting style.” They’d been better off getting at least some of this at private boarding school. Jlo could have continued to hopscotch around for work with the bonus of her kids missing out on most their mother’s messy “love” dramas.
These kids just don’t seem college or independence bound. They’re going to be living and mooching off of their mom for the rest of their life and based on clips of her documentary showing her desperation and neediness, that’s probably what she wants tbh.
She’s shooting this and then it looks like she’s going straight on tour? Yeah..she’s not going to have a marriage much longer.
Ben finally shaved. He looks cleaner and younger than he did with the beard. It’s supposed to be for the Accountant II which is supposed to be shooting already but he never seems to be on set. Maybe it’s more about Jon Bernthal and not Ben’s character character.
I want to be excited for this. Then I remember she can’t sing. Maybe she’ll be talk singing? I’m interested in seeing a trailer.
The lack of name costars for the other two leads is concerning. Like they’re going to try to play and fudge with the “singing”. With “newcomers” it’s easier to keep things quiet (for a while). Or maybe the script is not good? This is kind of a well known play, it should have attracted some big people and been a three hander
I hope she’s not trying to insist on some boring 20 or 30 year olds for this so the press round will focus on how she’s “still so young” and she can “keep up” with her co-stars! Like honestly, why is Oscar Isaac not in this? Why does she continue to refuse to work with people who may actually be bigger or more talented than her. That’s why she stagnates. She doesn’t test herself against other people-directly.
I love sci-fi so I can’t wait for this. This trailer doesn’t tell you much about the story though. That’s worrying. I’ll be surprised if Sterling K Brown is her love interest and not some random white dude like always
