┈─ 𖧷 NETFLIX AND SPILL ﹕ CLÉO ANYA TORELL. set after the release of EXPERIENCE. genre, ‘cléo what the hell are you doing’ said everyone ever. featuring the stray kids ensemble.

they corner her during their bi-weekly movie night.

it was more of an ambush now that she really thinks about it—felix disarming her by talking about a new recipe he’s found, seungmin and jeongin lightly bickering over whose turn it was to pick, the faint scent of someone’s laundry detergent emitting from the hoodie she stole from someone’s closet a few days ago lingering under her nose. comfortable. laying perfectly content in a trap set by eight.

she notices chan staring at her thoughtfully out of the corner of her eye, met with a faint smile each time she raises a brow in question. minho is a case, always had been, so his staring doesn’t bother her as much. five years and counting and he’s still a little bit of an enigma to her. he does pry the remote from seungmin’s unrelenting hands to loudly claim it was her turn to pick the movie though, so she can’t complain. all the more reason for her to pick a horror movie and pretend not to notice han digging his fingers into her arm.

halfway through the movie ( and han spilling popcorn over the couch after a particularly bad jump scare ), cléo offers to replace the bowl. her legs were beginning to cramp and she was sure her arm was beginning to lose circulation. she quietly pads into the kitchen, pops a bag into the microwave, and leans against the kitchen counter to wait. the sound of laughter wafts over pushing and shoving, settling over her shoulders like a warm blanket. comfort. content.

disarming. like the smile he wears when he joins her in the kitchen, taking up post on the opposite counter.

changbin is quiet when he assess her, usually one to strike up conversation to fill in the silence. it irks her a bit, feeling analyzed, and looks back at the roughhousing to see it had quieted down back in the living room area. the heavy silence makes her conscious of her own breathing, almost holding her own breath.

“cléo.” she looks back to see changbin’s worried expression, his arms crossed. her hackles immediately raise. “what is going on?”

his concern makes her bristle. so many things could be wrong. “i don’t know what you’re talking about,” she answers as plainly as possible, pointedly ignoring his furrowed eyebrows. “i just released a song with a friend and it’s doing numbers. i feel good. i’m happy.”

wrong answer, apparently. changbin only looks more worried.

“nothing’s going on, okay?” cléo eyes the microwave, cursing mentally at the time remaining on the clock. “it’s not my fault people like to keep digging into my business. besides. everyone writes break up songs. chan’s notorious for it, but no one says anything!”

it was meant to be a joke, honestly. yet the look she receives from the oldest member over the couch makes her want to take her words back and bury them twenty feet under. worst part is, chan doesn’t even look offended. he just looks sad.

“i’m fine,” she reiterates through gritted teeth, backing away into the corner of the countertop when changbin tries to approach her. “nothing’s wrong. why can you just be happy for me?”

“we can’t be happy about your song when it’s rumored to be about someone you’re seeing.”

cléo suppresses a wince when she sees minho enter her field of vision, leaning against the archway with a stern look. when she turns her head, the four youngest are looking at her with varying degrees of worry and sadness, and her heart cracks a bit.

“it’s not.. xav just asked me to write my part after hearing the track. i just followed the theme we had discussed.” her excuse sounds weak even to her own ears, her shoulders bunching up out of habit. “it’s not a big deal—”

“are you dating her?”

hyunjin stands in the middle of their small circle with his own arms crossed, looking half ways between concerned and a bit annoyed. it makes cléo pause, her defenses raising immediately.

“if i was? i don’t see what it has to do with the song—”

“isn’t she the whole who cheated on her partner before you?” chan’s worry grates in her ears like nails on a chalkboard. “i don’t think that’s the kind of person you should be dating. especially after what came out after her… party.”

“she apologized,” cléo interjects, scowling at the floor. “it’s just always brought up when she’s in the headlines. i’m fine. it won’t be like last time.”

a chill settles over the dorm. nerves light a path up and down her spine but she refuses to look up at any of them.

deep down, she knows they mean well. she’d never broken down mentally that bad since 2018, hard enough before chan, even worse before all of them. her hiatus had taken a toll on all of them, not just her.

and yet. she liked marseille. minseo. understanding and respectful of her boundaries and open—so open. why couldn’t they see she was better off with someone like her? people made mistakes. you learned from them. she had no business judging someone when she’d made detrimental mistakes herself.

they just didn’t understand. “she’s good to me—real good. and.. and i know that’s what i said about dowon.”

felix winces when he hears his name. minho himself jerks with a start before physically restraining himself. cléo looks up just in time to catch him share an intense look with hyunjin that makes her heart sink terribly.

“but it’s different, i promise. i—” she cuts herself off, arms wrapping around her body. “she understands me.”

“and we don’t?”

hyunjin’s voice cuts through the air like a knife, dejected and confused and hurt. cléo just stares.

“i know you think this the better option.” he bites his lower lip in contemplation, seemingly fighting an internal struggle with himself before relenting. “i told you not to go to that party—”

“what party—”

“i don’t like the way things are going,” hyunjin continues on, much to minho and chan’s dismay. “do you want a repeat of—”

“i said it’s fine! i know how to handle myself, and if i get proven wrong—which won’t happen—you guys are free to gloat and tell i’m how stupid i was. okay? okay!”

cléo shoves her shaking hands into her pockets.

“i just.” she exhales loudly, willing herself not to cry. i want to be loved. by someone actually who loves me. “i’m tired. you can finish the movie if you want.”

“should we call moniqa to—” han tries, but she waves him off.

“i’m fine. i’ll walk back to the apartment myself.”

shuffling past the older members, she offers a flat smile to the youngest and shoves her feet into her shoes with stilted huffs. minseo wouldn’t hurt her. she was kind and communicated with her on a level she hadn’t seen with dowon. she was a breath of fresh air after all of her heartache—she wouldn’t let her judgment be clouded all because the boys were scared she’d get hurt again.

hyunjin stops her just before she leaves, his expression a mix of genuine sadness and even more concern. he doesn’t push, something she doesn’t know how to feel about after his outburst in the kitchen, and simply watches her until she stands upright again.

“i’ve known you longer than anyone else here,” he says lowly, his voice cracking on the last word. “i won’t be able to forgive myself if i see you hurt again knowing i could have talked you out of it. but if you really think she’s the one…”

cléo just stares at him as he struggles to come up with the right words. eventually he just shakes his head, stepping back with a nod.

“i just hope you know what you’re doing.”

somehow, that hurts more than the interrogation.

his problem child frfr , definitely knew what he was getting himself into though , he saw the hyper active girl one day and decided to adopt her into his little circle of children.

he loved the way she sang , so he asked her to do backtrack for a 3racha song , she said yeah of course she'd do it. he heard her sing and he decided he wanted her in the group he was forming.

fought tooth and nail to get her in the group , didn't care if it was different he wanted her and.

6 years later they've just grown to love each other even more and bibi continues to stress him out.

♡. LEE KNOW (seulho) !

bibi was raised by her parents? no lee know raised her , this is his child and no one can tell him otherwise.

will run across the ocean for her if she needs something , it's been like this since the survival show.

is really soft with her , people say he treats her how he treats his cats , he is really soft spoken , he doesn't scold her much and he doesn't yell at her at all.

chan sends lee know after her to calm her down when he can't do it.

♡. CHANGBIN (changbi) !

bibi biggest protector , like nobody is allowed to even look at her wrong , if you even breath her way that he deems weird , it's over.

he's been like this since he met her during during 3racha days , because she was often made fun and bullied of during her trainee days by other trainees.

much like lee know he's really soft around her though , like even the way he talks to her is soft , it's something he doesn't even know, but other people do.

definitely forces her to go to the gym when they have off , she doesn't really care sometimes (big emphases on sometimes)

♡. HYUNJIN (hyunbi) !

was the first person she ever met in jype other than jeongin , even chan. she would always see him in the cafeteria as a trainee and he'd buy her a drink before returning to practice.

much like everyone else , she thought he was so beautiful , and when she saw him dance she was amazed.

is constantly amazed by everything he does now , she's hyunjin biased forsure (sorry innie).

fans see these two and jeongin going out to dinner all time , like three or four times a week there's a new sighting of them.

♡. HAN JISUNG (seulsung) !

such a silly ship , just all around laughs with these two.

bibi is definitely the extrovert bestfriend who just adopted a introvert jisung who easily opened up to her.

he said he feels comfortable around her , and she gives him the space to open up and be his true self around her.

knows he doesn't really go out a lot so she'll go over to the 3racha dorm and watch animes with him since she also enjoyes them.

♡. FELIX (yongbi) !

the chicken duo , even both there skzoo are matching , people call them brother and sister because of that.

she's his protector , she will hunt anyone down if they have the slightest bad thing to say about him.

got along easily because there was no language barrier between them , and felix was so kind to her , bringing her little treats and things before practice.

he's her biggest supporter , talks about how talented she everytime she has a solo schedule.

♡. SEUNGMIN (bimin) !

you'd think they hated each other the way they argue and fight , but to them it's like how they communicate with each other.

it's never real and its jokes that they know they're comfortable with though , they'd never purposely hurt each other.

you can definitely see their real friendship when they're caught off guard when filming, like behind the scenes or of a fan see's them in public.

fans are just waiting for the duet song together , they've been waiting for 5 years.

♡. JEONGIN (seulin) !

bestfriends? no— more like soulmates since they were 14 and she moved back to busan. they were seatmates.

he was the only one who talked to her , her parents thought it would be better if they didn't send her to a international school so that she'd learn korean quicker , and sadly besides her teachers , he was the only one who talked to her and their friendship blossomed , they spent everyday together.

he was the one who talked her into engergy into signing up for jyp , they were so happy when they both got excepted , even more excited when they ended up debuting with each other.

nobody can't deny the love they have for each other , they get each other on another level that no one understands , the only other person he will initiate physical touch with.

♡. BANG CHAN (seobang) !

when 16 year old chan met 12 year old kaia, the only thing on his mind was to protect the girl from anything harmful.

he packed her lunches for school; he walked her to school, he brought her food, and came to all the showcased she was in , people thought they were really brother and sister.

when jyp came to him about forming a group; she was the first person to come to mind, he went to her one day and the rest was history.

he's helped her a lot throughout the years, and he's always there for her when she needs it and is struggling.

♡. LEE KNOW (kaiho) !

wasn't too keen on a girl joining the group, but the second he met kaia all the discomfort went away.

something about the girl made him draw closer to her. the heartbreak she felt when he was eliminated was unreal.

he was more pissed off when she was eliminated than when he was eliminated.

a popular ship because of how much he takes care of her on and off camera, people who've met them says that minho always has kaia close by to make sure she doesn't get hurt.

♡. CHANGBIN (changa) !

sunshine and sunshine protector duo fr.

changbin has and will call out someone's weird behavior if he even senses that she is uncomfortable in any situation.

knows that she has a lot of stress of being the only girl and he tries to understand her when she's going through something and gives her the best advice that he could give.

and older brother figure, she probably has a better relationship with him than what she does with her own step-brother because she doesn't have any blood siblings.

♡. HYUNJIN (hyuna) !

the most dramatic duo you'd ever meet in your life.

lowkey didn't like each other during predebut days, he didn't understand why chan was so keen on her joining, he felt like adding a girl was unnecessary, and she didn't like the shade he was throwing so she kept away from him.

when they debuted, they were close, but not to the point where they rest were. they really connected during his hiatus.

they actually talked out their problems and they began to spend a lot of time together working through their issues, now they're bond has never been stronger.

♡. HAN JISUNG (kaisung) !

the only one jisung didn't have beef with when they were trainees.

because she'd come right back with the comments she wouldn't let win a single argument.

now they argue, but it's mostly for fun, he makes a smart comment and she gives him a kiss on the cheek just to annoy her, it's her way of letting him know that she isn't upset with him.

besides that, they understand each other on a level that maybe none of the other members do.

♡. FELIX (yonga) !

two babes with a lot of love to give. as

much as he wanted to get to know her, the poor baby didn't know how to communicate with her when they first met, due to his lack of confidence.

but it didn't stop her, she'd always come up to him and offer him food. she always spoke in english to make him more comfortable when he was still having trouble with it.

her personal moodmaker, she claims when he hugs her, it makes her mood go up 1000x more.

♡. SEUNGMIN (kaimin) !

a pain in her ass part 1, oh he knows how to get under skin, more than han does.

at first she thought he was making fun her her for real, so it made her upset, but then she realized the only way to beat him was to beat him at his own game.

so then it became this never ending thing, he annoys her and she annoys him.

but it's completely out of love, because then they also like to make fun of chan together (help him plz).

♡. JEONGIN (jeonga) !

a pain in her ass part 2, except she'll put him in a head lock if needed.

these two show love by physical touch, and i mean throwing hands with each other. regardless what they show on the camera,

people who went to the same school they did said that they spent most of their time together and were extremely friendly around each other.

except the three times she put him in a headlock and he dragged her by the ear down the hall.

┈─ 𖧷 BOY’S AN UNEXPECTED ( AND UNWANTED ) VISITOR ﹕ CLÉO ANYA TORELL. set during THE CLÉOWON DATING SCANDAL. genre, angst. ( what’s the point of crying ? it was never even love .. ) featuring dowon, minho, hyunjin.

the song is halfway written when she gets a visitor. or rather, when she hears a scuffle begin to form in the hallway from her room, followed by heavy breathing and a pained groan.

cléo drops her pen to stumble out into the open space, brows furrowed in confusion. minho had let himself and hyunjin in with no problem about an hour earlier, shooing her off when she’d sheepishly mumbled something about wanting to finish a couple songs. hyunjin had walked her to her room even when she joked she didn’t need help finding it—but he’d stubbornly followed with nothing but a childish scowl and a shove to her arm.

the three don’t mention that she hasn’t participated in schedules for two months. the three of them don’t talk about the one member gap in their formation. the three of them don’t mention her mistakes. she was always making mistakes.

but she still doesn’t understand. last she saw of the two of them they were sitting comfortably in the parlor of the apartment she shared with xavier and moniqa, hyunjin engrossed in a new show and minho pretending he wasn’t as interested. she’d suspected they were only here to alternate watch over her, but the company had been appreciated anyway. she missed them.

her socks slide against the wooden floor in her haste to re-enter the parlor, wide eyed as her heart pounds. had another fan found her new apartment? the company was supposed to have taken care of that. this new place was supposed to be safer, a more monitored area, easier to spot unwanted visitors—

she turns the corner to meet dark eyes widen upon seeing her. her heart drops sixty feet underground.

minho has him pinned to the floor with an expression she’s never seen on him before, furious beyond words the more dowon keeps struggling and squirming. hyunjin doesn’t see her at first, but when he does he’s at her side before she can blink, an arm raised in front of her as a shield. his features hold no bit of the warmth and ease she’d seen just an hour ago. her head spins.

“how the fuck did he get in?” minho’s voice wafts in and out of her ears, and she grips hyunjin’s arm for stability. “why the hell did you come here?”

he still has the key she gave him. stupid, stupid, stupid girl. she swallows down a pathetic noise.

“i just—wanted to talk,” dowon grunts, hissing in pain when minho presses down on the arm twisted around his back in response. “didn’t think her fucking guard dogs would be—shit, can you relax?”

minho’s face goes stone still. cléo grips hyunjin’s arm even tighter.

“min,” her voice cracks, the first sound she made since she’d seen him. minho looks up after a moment and she shakes her head. he looks down at dowon, exhales sharply, but eventually releases him. dowon groans as the pressure leaves and shakes his arm out.

“fucking psychopath,” he grits, throwing a glower at the other man. minho doesn’t move. “anyway—”

cléo slaps him, hot and heavy across his cheek. his head turns with the force of the impact, and he chokes on his next exhale with a hiss. hyunjin stifles a shocked sound behind her.

silence hangs for a moment. her hand stings. her heartbeat thrums in her ears.

“i deserved that,” dowon starts slowly. minho scoffs lowly somewhere to her right. dowon turns and red blossoms across his face angrily. “i deserved that. i’m sorry.”

he takes a step towards her and she takes two back. her fists clench at her sides when he sighs with a hint of impatience.

“you’ve gotten your revenge,” dowon states matter-of-factly as if he were talking to a child. “do you need to slap me again? i’ll turn the other cheek,” he muses lowly, brown eyes almost black in the low light. “i don’t know what you want me to do. i’ve already apologized.”

“you used me,” cléo balks, breath caught in her throat. “you used me and you want me to forgive you because you came into my home without permission and said ‘i’m sorry’?”

she can’t help herself. she laughs, in complete and utter disbelief, as his nonchalance simmers into mild anger.

“the public finds out i’m the poster board for all the people you and your friends,” she spits, venom lacing her words harshly, “used and discarded like trash as you pleased, and you want me to forgive you? you want me to pretend like you didn’t almost ruin my life and act like nothing fucking happened?”

“cléo—”

”shut the fuck up!” her anger melds into something hysteric, fists shaking at her sides. the parlor is suddenly too small, the apartment is suddenly too small. she blinks, and hears a muffled crash of some sort. her gaze focuses on dowon again and he looks moderately unnerved. good. at least he was feeling a fraction of what she was.

“get out.” dowon frowns, brows furrowed in disbelief. “get the fuck out! get out!” he tries to approach her again, and this time, minho steps between the two of them with a stern glare.

“she said get out,” he starts, then tilts his head to the side. “or should i make you?”

dowon’s nose flares with an exaggerated exhale, gaze shifting between the three before stalking towards the door. but in a last minute act, he lunges for cléo the moment the other two turn to face her. she screams, acting purely on instinct.

her elbow rams into his face, knocking his face back before they stumble apart, hyunjin rushing to a trembling cléo while minho forcibly hauls dowon out of her apartment. the front door slams shut and cléo jumps from the impact, sliding down a wall and taking hyunjin down with her.

for a moment, the quiet in cléo’s apartment is a solid weight hanging on all of their shoulders, minho’s breathing being the only thing breaking the heavy silence. hyunjin rubs her arm soothingly, but doesn’t speak just yet. she rests her head on his shoulder and stares at the wall.

“took the trash out,” minho finally speaks, cracking a threadbare smile, which makes cléo huff a strained laugh and hyunjin pats her with a thin smile. “sorry you seem to attract the worst kind of people.”

”yeah.” cléo forces a laugh again, ignoring the burn beginning to spread across the bridge of her nose. she sniffles once, twice. “yeah, i just— i don’t know why—”

she bursts into tears, covering her mouth to muffle her sobs as her shoulders begin to shake. minho drops to a crouch in front of her, startled, and begins to apologize but she waves him off with a watery laugh. hyunjin wraps his arms around her as she covers her face, slumping back against the wall tiredly.

“i even gave him a key,” she hiccups with another laugh. “i gave him a key, i’m so stupid—”

”not stupid,” hyunjin chides her gently. “just… mislead. you fell in love with the persona he put on. that’s not your fault.”

minho nods slowly, settling against the wall on her other side. “it’s not your fault. love is blinding like that. besides,” he nudges her shoulder, “you’ve got us and your other friends. love comes in different forms and relationships. you don’t need a romantic one right now. and,”

he digs into his pocket and pulls out a set of keys, grinning widely when cléo’s eyes widen and hyunjin begins to laugh. “now he has no keys. too bad for him.”

hyunjin stares at minho in awe, which makes cléo crack a smile. “since when did you get so wise! “love is blinding like that’. who are you—”

“yah!” cléo laughs again, a real one this time, moving to rest her head on minho’s shoulder. “we were having a moment! fine, then. see if i give commentary again.”

as suki was forced to mature and find herself in the limelight, she realized from a young age that there are a lot of shitty people in the world. she wrote this song to highlight the fact that amongst these shitty individuals, there are still “cool people” out there who make living in this wicked world..a little more with while.

did she write this song with her members in mind? well that’s simply none of your business. (yes) if you ask her she’ll tell you no but this song is basically a love letter to her members, especially after the crazy scheduling they had in 2023…she wanted to show them her appreciation for them so she put it in a song :)
