New hat. Got it on super clearance at Belk for $15. It’s actually pretty high quality.

Yusss, my library is expanding. The middle bookshelf is new as of yesterday. The plan is to acquire useful books about off-grid and sustainable living, architecture and old world images, and intriguing old books in general.

I’ve been rewatching Saiki K. with a friend recently for the third time. It’s a little juvenile in some regards, but it’s guaranteed to make me laugh no matter how many times I’ve seen it. It leans into its own absurdity and makes fun of anime tropes and itself in the most ridiculously hilarious ways.

Just finished watching the first season of Spy x Family (dubbed) with a friend. It’s a super fun concept and equally cute and action-packed. Not a concept you’d expect to work so well, but it’s good, clean fun. Yeah, I’m becoming more and more a fan of wholesome stories.

I picked up the Cosmic Visions Tarot at my favorite used book store (Mr. K’s) in AVL a couple weeks back. It’s an indie deck and was in good shape for only $30. It would set me back about $77 new from the creator’s etsy shop after tax and shipping.
I haven’t used it too much yet, but I love the vibe! It’s definitely unique in my curated collection. It’s pretty RWS but with enough twists to keep it fresh. The guidebook is small but mighty.

I got this nice Harbor 2nd leather purse a while back, actually. It’s great for when I’m wearing dresses without pockets and only need to carry a few things. It was only $50 at T. J. Maxx

Got this set of adjustable dumbbells the other day. I’m definitely gonna be getting in some better workouts at home now.

I broke down and upgraded my Pixel 3a to an iPhone 13 Mini. I know, I know, back to Apple, but I wasn’t about to use a phone tied directly to Google, and I’m just about done with the degoogled phone life--unless I need better opsec in the future. Honestly, I just wanted a better camera for all my adventures. And taking better pics of the bf hahaha. *cough*
iOS 15 isn’t bad, though. I like all the widgets. I miss a few apps, and it really needs a location services on/off toggle. Other than that, I can’t complain. The mini is the perfect size, and I don’t even need a PopSocket! I just wish the battery lasted a little longer ...

This thing is legit. It’s a beast at cooking meats and hard boiled eggs. Should’ve gotten it sooner.

New watch. I haven’t worn a watch since I get my first cell phone about 15 years ago. o.O It’s a little larger than I’d like, but the black on black is classy. And it’s super easy to read. I wish it glowed, though. Oh well. Not bad for $24. And it’s silent! It’s nice for when I don’t want to rely on my phone just tell tell the time.

There’s some good information here and solid science journalism. Kinda bloated and redundant, though, but I say that about most non-fiction. =P

I’ve been catching up on Yona lately. It’s still good, but I’m missing Hak in these volumes.
