Everyone else says I look completely different, but I don’t see it.

To me it just shows how much of gender is just a few trappings really.

My face is the same, when I look in mirror it’s my face. My body. All the important bits are still in the same spots.

I prayed that transition would reshape me entirely. Mould me into someone else. A new face and a new body.

When I realized it wouldn’t I was dismayed. I wanted to scream. How could anyone see a woman’s face, if it’s still my face? How could I?

But they do. And somehow eventually I started to believe them.

I think it’s probably the miracle of transition in the end. You’re still you. Just more you than you ever dreamed possible.
