okay–creepy but romantic pina riz halloween au. tw gore. tw au.

i think the running idea is that, pina is a type of creature that usually kills people if they come into his forest and eats their bodies, their souls, their essence, etc (and then just, eats their carcasses. he had a bad childhood so he like, made a pact with an old sheep god to become this way. and yes he is still a sheep and he also eats sheep too lol). riz is a bear living in a society that doesn’t care for him and sees him as a monster (in this au he was a bear that was an orphaned and grew up in a like herbivore area and was basically hated. his real family is alive tho and looking for him) so one day he just decides to leave after there is a literal attempt on his life from the herbivores there because of an accident and they suspected he’d try to eat them.

riz injured, stumbles into pina’s forest and literally passes out from the pain. cannibal pina comes from the brushes and is about to just eat riz, but then he stops and just looks at him. it’s the first time pina has seen a bear up close but it’s also the first time he’s seen someone he has no desire to eat. pina feels his heart beating for the first time in years and finds out that he actually has a crush on this bear. so he heals him, and lets him be, and promises himself that if riz makes it out of his forest within seven days then he’ll just leave it alone but if he doesn’t, then he’ll reveal himself. but pina is just impatient and starts spying on riz and like day 3 riz catches pina looking at him from the water and that’s when they first meet.  and their first meeting is actually really adorable. Pina’s like “i healed you–are you a bear…or are you a really big dog?”

fast forward the two click, it takes some time for riz because pina is a herbivore and he’s nervous, but the two actually become close.  it’s clear pina has never left the forest , but he knows things. like he knows about the herbivore v carnivore conflict, but riz is surprised when he sympathizes with him. and then he figures out why when he sees pina eating meat for the first time and pina’s like “unlike you, i have to, it was the pact i made with my god. every time i eat meat, my forest and i grow stronger. plus, unlike you i actually crave it. i’m not a normal sheep, i don’t even know if im mortal anymore. you can run if you want to, trust me i won’t kill you” riz considers it, but he decides to stay. because around pina he doesn’t feel judged nor does he have to worry about his strength or anything like that.  he also doesn’t feel like a monster any more, since there is an actual monster sitting right next to him

HC Pina likes to tackle Riz or at least try to. it just results in riz carrying him around. 

also–erm–i like to think that when riz is out of juvie and living his life, and he’s more comfortable with showing his eyes, they’re like a forest green.

Now based off of my tags, I do wanna dabble in an au/fic of–what would happen if one of pina’s crazed fans (because i always hc him to be a famous actor/model/designer) or a group of pina’s fans tried to kill riz and ended up putting riz in a coma because of it. this is also a contrast to my au where pina gets attacked, and riz goes down an emotional spiral. 

in this version, riz is attacked by some of pina’s fans who think that riz is forcing pina to be with him against his will. the attack is successful as it was planned, and riz almost dies, but he is put in a coma. 

i always say that in my aus, not a lot of things can traumatize pina but losing riz is certainly something that will traumatize him. almost losing riz isn’t different. 

especially because he knows how hard riz has worked to change and be where he is now. like riz still dealt with his own anxiety and doubts about who he was and navigating after getting out of prison. pina was always there to help him, and was proud of the progress he was making. 

i think that, pina would lose himself to an extent and become heartless, and he would break every personal rule he had to get to the bottom of the plot to take down riz. i feel that in pina’s past, he did a lot of things to survive the circumstances he was in, at least in my aus and he isn’t a stranger to murdering people to survive. well, he tried to put that past behind him but seeing as people tried to kill riz, he basically gets vengeance anyway he can. that included murdering. 

so he tracks down the group of people who planned a successful attack on riz, and he just ends up killing them in various ways. one by one, so he they know that he’s coming for all of them. he of course has help, and doesn’t do it all on his own, but most of it, the revenge, killing, etc., is pina. 

i think at the end, while pina discovers it was a group of fans, it was also orchestrated by a modeling partner of his who was jealous of riz for being with pina and knew about riz’s predation past. 

so yeah–i just really am itching to write a story where pina can be as violent as possible in the name of love lol.  and when riz wakes up from his coma, pina acts like everything is norma lol.
