Finished art for the discord server and moved on to try my hand with 1500's-1600's inspired troops. Mostly taking inspiration from the Habsburg armies, basically HRE (Germany) and Spain. No clue why I even made these and I am quite intimidated to show the historically inspired unique units from the previous post.

Honestly I am quite tempted to make a low-fantasy isekai fanfiction set in this time period with characters ranging from Tanya Degurechaff, Redeus Greyrat, Rimuru Tempest and Ainz Ooal Gown just to see how well they can play off each other. The politics would allow Ainz to shine with diplomacy if he manages to NOT scare everyone, warfare is just a slower form Tanya is used to and allow her to be Gustavus Adolphus, Redeus will probably be roaming around the place with mercs saving everyone he could from devastation and Rimuru can definetly have fun with all the new toys around for his game of Civ6 before oops Italian wars or wars of the reformation time.

Actually, I may start writing it now and just take the best part of my ship fics and plop it there for safekeeping. Imagining a fool trying to put lead into Slime Rimuru would be funny. Hopefully I get motivated enough to post it. Already havw crossover crackships in my mind I may as well indulge in period pieces.

Just got done making art for a discord server about maps and wars. While these are meant for an 1880's scenario we agreed to use more of a 1860's aesthetic with mixed elements for originality. About to start work on special units that will be historically accurate for the most part and will be unique. Focusing on Mongol Horde units because they're still around and it would be funny to imagine them with guncavalry.

The line infantry are inspired by British soldiers in 1879 and 1880's British police with a redcoat stance.

The Siege engineers are inspired by French Sappeurs from 1806-1812 and armored variants of the same period.

The Cavalrymen are inspired roughly by 1812 and 1850's Russian cavalry officers without the coat things.

The artillerymen are roughly 1866 Prussians with a small Napoleonic gun.

Lastly the Officer is nearly 1:1 of a Brazilian infantry officer from the 1860's but does have some liberties.

Nothing like accidentally reading a racist book about religions in the school library while trying to make a unique Tanya and Being X dynamic to start off the week.

The book is Mankind's search for God and I do not believe the reviews for it. It assumes so much about religions and their superficial similarities and goes "see! Tje path is all there they're all just misguided!" To the point that even as an Asatru pagan I felt disrespected whenever I read the chapters on the Abrahamic faiths and Buddhism. Shintoism got fucked because it has an entire page or two dedicated to insulting the believers for thinking their emperor is God during a time of propaganda and wondering "How could such people devote themselves to such a fallable man?"

In our clibrary copy of the book it has a world map and it shows Shintoism and Judaism on it. Both of which are just one nation and the former is even mixed with Buddhism on the graphic. The only religions I remember represented are Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Confucianism/Taoism and Shintoism. Meanwhile all the other "primitive" religions are represented with an African mask even when in the Americas or Asia lmao.

yeah, you ARE uninformed, and *especially* as a german, you need to stay in your lane and work on fixing your ignorance + your fellow countrymen's rabidly racist attitudes.

A fellow countrywoman of mine is Shani Louk. She was a German-Israeli woman who held pacifist beliefs. She was attending the Re'im music festival near the Gaza border which celebrated peace. More accurately "friends, love and infinite freedom."

Then she was killed by Hamas. Her body was partially clothed and paraded through the streets on the back of a truck. People shouted "Allahu Akbar" as the vehicle passed through.

I would show pictures and videos but that would get me banned. I would also like to stay in my lane but here we are with you hiding. If you wish to inform me of what I am allowed to discuss or not I would at least like to know who it is I am discussing this with.

But hey freedom of speech exists for a reason. But if you have something to inform me of then inform me of what that is.

For example:

Germany has historically provided the most help to immigrants and has historically only been behind the U.S in accepting them. Only in recent years have laws gotten stricter as talks with other nation's willingness for accepting them have essentially been useless for a decade and the German government struggling to support them.

If you wish to claim we are still racist as a nation, I would like to show you the stuff we throw at statues of Otto von Bismarck who furthered (or even started) the rape of Africa during the Berlin conference of 1884. Yeah. Only rightists and "history buffs" were triggered by this.

I would like to say it's true, there have been rising numbers of right wing extremists and racist. Which is true for all of Europe just as much as the growing left wing is true for the United States. This does not make us any more racist than a blue U.S makes them more communist.

Every medic killed by Israeli Defence Forces is another sould lost. Another friends. Another member of tje family lost. And all because they tried tonsave lives of their fellow countrymen. I would like to call them martyrs, and to a degree they are, but what martyrdom is worth it when nothing is done about the oppressors? What martyrdom is worth it when there is nobody left to martyr yourself for All of it. It is always worth the risk to die for a righteous cause.

God bless these men and women. The IDF conduct themselves like thugs rather than the "professionals" they have been calling themselves as since the 1960's.

No civilians were killed in the retaliation strikes for the 3 soldiers. 40+ Houthi militants and leadership members were taken out though and only Syria and Iran (backers of Houthis) claim 16 civilians were killed. The only nations affected by the Houthi's actions are the people they never thought would work together, China and the U.S.

Israel (their supposed target) is not at all affected by Houthi shipping strikes same as how goods to Ukraine were just sent via land when the Black Sea was taken over by Russia. All the Houthis do is just drives politicians and companies to see Muslims as more of a threat to their profits that they could kill, why? Becauss they do not see terrorists, but Muslims.

Are you really going to defend people who have recently struck Djibouti's wifi and tried to bomb a ship of their own sponsor's allies (Russia)? They also still have slavery around because they brought it back.

Sometimes I feel like people on here like to act like Yemen is currently not in a civil war and is barely even governable by its government. Same way I feel people have utterly ignored the asian conflict in Myanmar who'se rebels are currently winning even without western support. But then again I won't see news of an entire village detroyed by a single missile in that country for a while. Nobody sees any benefit in risking their life there aside from Mynamar's people themselves due to having too simple a case of "not interesting" and it can't be exploited.

Palestine is also one of the most densely populated places on earth. Any conflict, from street violence to all-out war is going to have mass amounts of civilian casualties. O wish for a ceasefure or a resolution everyday but accusing your enemy of genocide just means theur soldiers are more likely to do it, or for their politicians to excuse it (Butcher of Bucha and how Russian media twisted that as "they said we were butchers so here we are" comes to mind).

Compare this to the Rwandan genocide in 1994. More than 800,000 people were massacred in 100 days. 6 men, women and children were killed every minute. Africa has seen its fair share of genocides and I barely see people talk about modern genocides like in Darfur and Sudan. Not to mention massacres in the Congo that keep happening.

One would expect the violence and death toll to be incredibly higher considering the population density and the manmade horrors of war circa 2023-2024 would bloat the numbers to 8,000 dead per day, but no.

Even as someone who I will admit this, cheered on HAMAS itself during the pandemic days knowing what each missile flew for, and continued to do so before they killed a countrywoman who attendended a party to celebrate peace and then paraded her naked body. This is just not that.

When people talk about Palestine, I hear a lot of "That's just war", or,"Civilian casualties are just a reality of war". Let me put it into perspective with the average daily death toll from some major conflicts of the 21st century, (not calling the Palestinian genocide a 'conflict', merely using that word for the wars I mention below- language is important!)

Syria 96.5 Sudan 51.6 Iraq 50.8 Ukraine 43.9 Afghanistan 23.8 Yemen 15.8

Keep these numbers in your mind. This is, on average, the daily death toll from other global conflicts. These 'numbers' are all human lives, people who have dreams, and ambitions. They have families, friends, coworkers. Please view these numbers as people for the love of everything.

Now, with that in mind. The 'stat' for Palestine is,

250. On average. Every. Single. Day. Why the hell are we watching this. Why the hell are people having to navigate this sort of situation.

If you can't conceptualise this, here is an extra layer of context

That, is 250 people. Remember. Every. FUCKING. DAY.

And in 2 months, this is what it looks like,

That right there is 3000 people. In 2 months, with 250 people on average being murdered every day- they still wouldn't fit in this room.

And U.S. representatives are blocking a ceasefire motion, time and time again.

The total estimated death toll currently sits at nearly 27,500 Palestinians, said by the Gaza Health Ministry.

This stadium holds 30,000 people.

CALL FOR A FUCKING CEASEFIRE.

But final solution is a just normal series of words? I mean the people I followed online had discussions talking about 'there needs to be a final solution' to Ukraine and Russia's grain deal before 2023 ended all hope for it.

'Solution' does imply a problem that needs fixing which is a poor choice for this context, but so does any word which would imply any sense of imbalance for both parties.

The world has gotten so good at identifying Nazi symbols, too good even. So much so that Norse pagans (Asatru) are afraid of showing theirs for fear of being called Nazis because Nazis like their aesthetics. Never thought they had claimed words too.

Writing Tanya/Mary from Youjo Senki is very dangerous for me.

One moment I'm having lil blondie piecing together that she's accidentally overstretched her battalion and panics for once because her goal is right there(Mary) and taunting her, and next moment I'm researching historically accurate kits for U.S Marine Raiders in the school library and watching a 40 minute youtube video about their formation and history for Mary's background lore about her being an absolute girlfailure.
