I think the internet would be a much better place if people started not joining conversations sometimes. Like if someone's talking about a media they like, with other people that like that media, and you join in just to voice that you HATE that media and it's bad, then I'm sorry but you're being an ass. If you don't like the media discussed... don't join the conversation and let them discuss it because they do? What are you even trying to accomplish? They aren't gonna stop talking about it because you said that, and if you hate it, I imagine you don't wanna hear about it. So why engage? You don't HAVE to. Sometimes its better to let people have fun with their shared opinion. It's my biggest pet peeve. I dislike The Amazing Digital Circus - so guess what? I don't join conversations about it between fans of it. Because I'm not an asshole and idc if they like it, and want them to stay having fun. There is a time and place to share your opinion, in a general sense, outside of a literal space set up for that media.
