A girl had never flirted with Azul in the ocean. Not like he wanted them to, he had better things to do. But he had seen them flirt with Jade and Floyd — girls showing off their teeth and their prettiest fins or bioluminescence. So when Idia Shroud tries to make the barest overture of friendliness in an expression that Azul knows land dwellers find either a grimace or malicious he feels his heart flutter — Idia's 'smile' is all teeth and his glowing hair falling into his face like sea feathers.

Stupid Idia Shroud with his complete lack of ocean culture knowledge. Azul vows to destroy him in the next board game.

I think I am better like in general though. I've been in therapy for like over a year now. And although I still have significant issues I do experience less dissociation and I'm basically done processing one of my flashbacks. Not that I don't still have others, but that definitely is an improvement.

If you compare how I am doing right now to how I was doing when I took that test you'd find I'm doing better (at least on many of those arenas).

Some problems haven't changed much. I won't list them out or anything but yeah.

I think if you put my wellness in context I have gotten a lot better relatively. Cause I did worse with more support one-two years ago.

having a child has taught me that every toddler is completely justified in their frustrations and tantrums because learning how to do something you have literally never encountered or heard of before is insane. and being expected to be completely calm in the face of this constant barrage of overwhelming information is doubly insane.

i got charlie a sticker activity book and it occurred to me i have to TEACH someone how to unpeel stickers. it's SKILL that requires DEXTERITY and FINE MOTOR ABILITY. i thought it was obvious that you have to curl the page a little bit to create a break in the cut so the sticker comes up.

obviously a fucking BABY wouldn't know that because they have no background experience to inform their thought process. OBVIOUSLY. and OBVIOUSLY the LITERAL BABY wouldn't get it right the first few times. it would OBVIOUSLY take practice. lots of it.

i hate this feeling. it's so obvious. why are children treated so badly when they're learning everything for the first fucking time. why do people treat children so horribly and expect so much. they're brand new. why didn't i get the same grace i give to my child? why did no one have patience for me? why, when it's this easy?
