For those that don't follow us on other platforms:
Duchovniacs as a fan site became deactivated years ago. It was hacked but we decided not to rebuild it and focus our attention on other things.
The Duchovniacs SM fan accounts have been mostly inactive the last few years, especially after DD deactivated his Twitter. Aside from that, we were unable to find the time to maintain it.
We briefly made it active again as DuchovnyUpdates when BFD premiered. Shortly after that we refrained from tweeting about DD film and tv projects because of the actor/writers strike as members of our team were SAG/Aftra.
The DuchovnyUpdates Twitter has been deactivated.
The DuchovnyUpdates IG remains up but is inactive.
The DuchovnyUpdates Facebook group is private and community run and remains active.
Videos from live concerts, book readings, comic cons and other fan events remain up and available to watch on Youtube.
We don't plan on updating this account but we'll leave it up for archived content.
We are busy with other endeavors and no longer have time to maintain fan accounts.
We are still fans.

Quote
A confession, right up front: when this album landed on my desk, my first thought was, “Uh-oh. Another vanity project from an actor who maybe played some guitar back in college.” A bit of belated investigation demonstrated that my attitude was wholly unfair. Duchovny is something of a Renaissance Man, having done much more than acting (he’s authored novels, directed and so forth). Of course none of those things in and of themselves mean that Every Third Thought (his second album) is any good. Alas, it is, and even more. Enlisting the aid of many of the same personnel used on his 2015 debut Hell or Highwater, Duchovny has crafted an album (a double LP in its vinyl configuration, which is what I have on hand) that’s successful on many levels. There’s a kind of heartland American (but not Americana) vibe to the songs on this record, with squalling, alterna-rock guitar at the center. And Duchovny’s voice is effective in a rock context. The opening track, “Half Life” is as good as anything from acts like Goo Goo Dolls, Soul Asylum or even Gin Blossoms; in fact all three of those acts are handy touchstones to give the uninitiated a sens of what Every Third Thought sounds like. Duchovny and his musical associates (producer-musicians Colin Lee, Mitch Stewart and Pat McCusker, all members of Boston-based band Weather) collectively have a good knack for melody and arrangement; the songs breeze by if you let them, but they stand up to closer inspection as well. The record is of a piece with its predecessor; sequence the two records one after the other and you won’t even notice the transition. Perhaps Duchovny’s musical career is a sideline, a temporary diversion or respite from his primary endeavors. But you’d never know it from the care and effort that has clearly gone into making this fine record.

Sad news: Duchovniacs .com has been deleted. It was a mistake. Somehow in our attempts to fix the hacked issue with IndieFangirl. com, the domain got deleted and all the content is gone. For good.
It's disheartening that all of our work, content, review articles and everything we’ve covered is gone for good. At the same time, we've been feeling for a while our efforts have not appreciated by all fans.
Our personal lives and even careers have come under intense scrutiny and at times even been held to celebrity level standards. This is not what we set out to do. This is not what we signed up for. We simply wanted to provide support for David's work and content for his fans.
As much as we would like to rebuild and start over, we are seeing this as a blessing in disguise. We are planning to rebuilding indiefangirl.com from scratch and will be posting our DD/Duchovniacs updates/content to that site along with other fandom related content.
We will keep @duchovniacs account active for DD news but sadly the website is gone ad we've decided it's probably best to let it go. We still respect David very much and will continue to support him on all of his upcoming endeavors. We will cover those events when we can and post to IFG.
Thanks again for riding along with us.  Check back here for updates. We will notify everyone when Indiefangirl is live again.

Kirkus review of DD’s new novel “Miss Subways”
KIRKUS REVIEW
A woman stumbles into the realm of myth when a supernatural creature offers her a heartbreaking choice.
Fresh off a new season of the evergreen X-Files and a late-blooming music career, the multitalented Duchovny (Bucky F*cking Dent, 2016, etc.) offers a spooky domestic drama that is equal parts Nick Hornby and Neil Gaiman. In this tale based on an ancient Irish legend about two star-crossed lovers, Duchovny transposes the story to present-day New York, a city he clearly loves. Emer Gunnels is a masterful second-grade teacher who still experiences fleeting visions from a childhood brain tumor. Her boyfriend is Cuchulain Constance “Con” Powers, an academic who is writing an obscure, right-wing treatise on pre-Christian deities and folklore—“J.K. Rowling meets Michael Lewis in a London pub, they fuck and have a baby that William Buckley raises,” more or less. Things go dark when Emer is confronted by Bean Sidhe, a wildly profane Celtic fairy, who offers her an impossible choice: Con (who has been canoodling with the scary spider goddess Anansi, by the way) may live, but the lovers must separate forever—or he dies right here, right now. After a glimpse of how each choice plays out, Emer makes her fateful decision. “The man lives. Love dies,” declares Sidhe. Duchovny finds a deft balance here between Emer’s domestic rituals and the machinations of actual gods and monsters. It’s also worth praising the novel’s upside-down love story in which Emer grows into the hero of her own story, not merely the object of a man’s quest. As happens, Emer and Con are drawn to each other over and over, while the old gods yearn to break their eternal cycle. With mythical embodiments scattered among the book’s surprisingly down-to-earth milieu—a trio of goddesses and a foulmouthed “mistress-dispeller” among them—Duchovny adroitly couches a Nora Ephron–esque romance in the sphere of Joseph Campbell.
An entertaining, postmodern fairy tale that tests the boundaries of love and fate.

Hey, I’m on the Third Thought hype bus right now with those 🔥 images from last night’s concert @ auckland. Do you heard anything about an American tour? Rumors, whispers, wishful thinking?
There was something DD mentioned in an interview recently about probably doing East Coast and West Coast again.

David Duchovny rocks out on Harry Connick Jr CBS talk show February 28, 2018 #everythirdthought
Tumblr media
It is January 24, 2018. I’m sitting in my home office in New Jersey
If you are reading this it is now February 27 or later and we are in Sydney Australia on a ferry around the harbor or at the Zoo watching kangaroos and koala bears. Actually it’s February 28th (stupid date line, sorry not you, NBC show) here so I am probably driving to New Castle AU for the sixth of seven concerts. Tomorrow we…
