Loki is chaos, yes, but there is comfort in chaos. There is comfort in change. Change can be terrifying, but embracing that fear is so freeing. Embracing the newness of it all, the rebirth. If we stayed the same, we would never grow or learn. Life would become too stagnant, too boring. There would be no sense of adventure. There would be nothing new. Change is required, even if it is chaos. Loki is chaos, yes, but there is comfort in chaos.

Should probably post things of more substance again. Except when you get four years deep you start realizing just how futile words still are. Something something. Jumbled prayers. Long may it continue.

I feel like Loki would own a flip phone. But only for the pure satisfaction of slamming it shut when he gets into an argument with an asshole on the other line.

LOGYN: MAKIN' BREAD 🥧 2
If you've given me a dollar or more this month on ☕️ you've seen this in progress over the past week. What started out as a joking response to some discourse about Sigyn being a tradwife is turning into what I think is a lovely slice of life illustration series~

Feckin hell. Boy do I have a story today.
Ahem.
So I’ve been on the lookout for updating my altar spaces, especially the one to Loki and fam for a wee while now. A new place I really enjoy visiting. Today was also my big clear out day for the bedroom in order to prep this new space for it…
Last night I was doing some divination with our one and only, and I say out loud:
“Loki, I’d really just like a new piece of furniture or something to place next to my dresser. That way I can expand your altar space and walk by it properly every day rather than just having it near the window."
Well.
In the middle of my big bedroom / altar clean this afternoon, our landlady knocks on the front door. She’s clearing out some old furniture in her own house and goes:
“Here, I think you guys might like this thing.”

IT FITS FECKING PERFECTLY, RIGHT UP TO THE EXISTING PICTURE FRAME, AND IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AND NEEDED FOR A NEW ALTAR.
A certain SOMEONE is currently laughing their very pleased arse off. He got a smash of Brennivin poured into his goblet right after the final candles were lit. I am so so gratetful and beyond thrilled. I can't wait to see how this wee space grows with time and love.

date a forest god whose appearance and behaviour changes through seasons. whose hair, like leaves, becomes red, yellow and orange in autumn, who becomes more still and quiet in winter, who becomes green and "wakes up" in spring, who is living their life in summer, until the circle repeats.

Mhm. I do have a tag called “Loki is a post punk avant garde tour de force” specifically for such occasions.✨

Today, someone asked an interesting question in a pagan Facebook group. It was about the Norse deity Loki, but I am going to rephrase their question:
"Who do you see your deity in around you? What musicians and actors and artists and writers, directors, etc. make you feel like your deity is trying to connect with you through them?"
That's some food for thought, isn't it? It's especially interesting if you combine aspects of your spiritual practice with pop culture, I think.

Final Piece vs. Inspo (photo of Tim Curry from The Rocky Horror Picture Show)
"Unintended Consequences"
I know this isn't one of my usual colorful/maternal/smarmy/tricksy/domestic styles of Loki portrait. And I still don't know if this is after the lip-sewing, between the Binding and Naglfar, or some other time of fleeing/grief/fear/etc, but it was kinda cathartic to paint.
Follow me on Ko-Fi for WIPs, BTS commentary (not the band) and more~ 💖
