Summary : In this chapter, Alastor remembers times spent with (y/n), the day before the confrontation against the Exterminating Angels.
-------------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow was shaping up to be the big day.
A month had passed since Charlie and his clique had begun training the cannibalistic sinners rallied to their cause, motivated by various aspirations, but above all by the desire to taste the flesh of the exterminating angels. Even Cherry Bomb had joined their camp, unable to resist the call of battle alongside her friend Angel Dust. They did everything they could to maximize their chances, however slim they might be.
On the eve of the battle, after Charlie's speech, everyone was aware that this evening could well be their last and acted accordingly. Gathered at Husker's bar, they chatted happily, served by the demon himself. Sir Pentious raised his glass and said, "Here's to being alive today and not dying tomorrow !" Glasses clinked in agreement, followed by a lively discussion.
Upstairs, Alastor was watching the scene, leaning against the railing with Niffty. The Radio Demon shared his thoughts with the little demoness, who in turn expressed her attachment to this place where the residents seemed to accept her eccentricities without judgment. In response, he confided that he was beginning to enjoy the company of this unique collective.
They then burst out laughing after Niffty solemnly gave him the title "King Roach", placing on his head a wooden diadem decorated with dead beetles placed on a leaf. After this moment of frank hilarity, he rested against the railing, a sigh of contentment escaping his lips.
As he observed the merry band below, a smirk stretched his features. If he had been in the presence of (y/n) at that moment, she would surely have commented in a haughty and icy tone on his unworthy attitude of an Overlord. She would certainly have told him to straighten up and maintain his composure in all circumstances. But for now, he let himself relax, savoring the warm atmosphere.
Resting his head in his hand, he closed his eyes, letting his thoughts wander to the one occupying his thoughts. (y/n), with her noble aura and unwavering strength, was always present in his mind, even in the most critical moments. Although he knew he might consider sacrificing her to achieve his goals, if it were necessary, he couldn't help but feel a form of concern towards her.
Alastor then returned to their last meeting, a month ago after seven years of separation. He distinctly remembered the way she wore the pearls he had given her, clinging to her antlers, despite everything that had happened between them. This detail evoked a memory in him that brought a sweet smile from his face. A memory dating back at least thirty years, perhaps more, but engraved in his memory, like all the moments spent in his company.
He saw himself entering without announcing himself, as usual, into the house where she before resided in the same dimension as them. She had accepted his presence, although it caused displeasure among those she considered family. He had gone to a room serving as a tea room, where (y/n) was sitting at the table enjoying a cup of tea. Behind her, a demoness was busy filing her antlers, trying to shorten them or even make them disappear. Despite Alastor's presence, the atmosphere remained tinged with tranquility, although his arrival broke this usual tranquility, Taku not being there to block his way, thus letting his absence shine through.
She looked up from her cup, unsurprised by his presence which she had detected as soon as he entered her domain. But she had not seen fit to act, knowing in advance that any attempt would be in vain in the face of the stubbornness of the man who allowed himself far too many liberties for her liking.
"Alastor," she said in a voice mixing exasperation and feigned amusement, "what a surprise to see you today. What brings you ?"
He had offered her a smirk, the mischievous glint in his eyes testifying to the pleasure he took in disturbing the Overlord. Standing there in front of her, his hands carefully hidden behind his back.
“Oh, just a sudden urge to visit you, my dear (y/n),” he replied in a cheerful tone, aware of the trouble he was sowing around him.
“I see,” she sighed lightly, then turning towards the demoness who continued to file her antlers. "You can leave us, we'll finish later. Thanks, Lily."
The demoness had nodded and left the room, casting wary glances at the unwelcome person, leaving Alastor and (y/n) alone in the relative tranquility of the tea room. He then let out a light, teasing laugh.
“Aren’t you afraid of being alone with me ?” He said with a mocking smile.
She arched an eyebrow, her expression hardening slightly.
“Why should I fear that ?” She asked in a calm, but firm tone.
Alastor gave him a smirk. "Well, who knows what might happen when we're left to our own devices, right ?"
She rolled her eyes slightly before responding : "If you're implying that you scare me, you're sorely mistaken. If I wanted to, I could easily tear you to pieces."
He had laughed softly, recognizing (y/n)'s confidence.
“You would be a tough opponent, I grant you that,” he admitted, feeling a slight shiver run down his spine at the idea of facing (y/n) in a real fight. He knew too well the formidable abilities of the Overlord, much older and experienced than him, present long before the arrival of Princess Charlie.
"Alastor. I only have a little time for you," she said dryly.
He nodded slightly, recognizing the seriousness of her request, and joked, "Of course. Is it because you need to file your antlers ?"
An exasperated sigh had passed (y/n)'s lips before she retorted, a slight annoyance piercing her voice : "I don't have the luxury of having yours, Alastor. I have to do it daily, otherwise they become too long and it becomes problematic.”
He shook his head in feigned desolation.
“What a shame,” he murmured, his eyes glinting with amusement.
She arched an eyebrow, intrigued by Alastor's comment. "What do you mean by that ?" She asked in a curious tone.
He gave her a playful look, admitting : "It's a shame, because I think your antlers are graceful and elegant."
A slight sound of disbelief escaped (y/n)'s lips, thinking for a moment before responding with a skeptical tone : "I'm not sure I share your opinion. They're more restrictive than anything else. I don't see any reason for their presence."
He smiled teasingly. “Oh, but I could find you a valid reason, you know.”
Curious, (y/n) tilted her head slightly, putting down her cup and asking, "Oh ? And which one would it be ?"
He had approached, revealing what he had been holding in his hands all along : A box. He had placed it delicately on the table in front of her, then stood back slightly, a mischievous smile on his lips, observing with amusement her reaction, no doubt wondering if she thought it was a trap.
“Intrigued ?” He murmured, brushing his fingertips against the top of the back of the chair occupied by (y/n).
She had stared at the box warily, but with a hint of curiosity evident in her eyes. Carefully, she opened it, expecting everything except what she discovered: Magnificent pearls, small and discreet, resting inside.
A gasp of surprise escaped (y/n), eyes glinting as she examined them in wonder.
He looked at her with a mischievous smile. “Well, what do you think ?” He asked, a look of anticipation in his eyes.
She looked up at him before looking back down at the jewelry in the box. "It's... Beautiful," she admitted, her fingers brushing the delicate pearls. “But I don’t see where you’re going with this.”
He burst out laughing, a warm, amused sound that echoed through the room. "Turns out the other day, I walked past a little shop and saw these pearls. Immediately I thought of you and how well they would look on you," he explained, taking gently held the pearls between her fingers, showing how they were held together by two almost invisible threads.
Alastor continued to observe them with a glint of satisfaction in his eyes, then his eyes landed on (y/n)'s woods. "Can I ?" He asked, pointing at his antlers.
She hesitated for a moment, but ended up acquiescing with a slight nod. “Be careful,” she warned him in a serious tone. “I wouldn’t put up with any missteps.”
A strangely sweet smile had stretched Alastor's lips. “Count on me not even thinking about it,” he replied, before leaning down to delicately touch (y/n)’s antlers with almost excessive caution. During this time, he hummed a song, adding a calming ambiance to the room.
Once he had finished, he stood up and turned towards her with a tender look, an expression he only showed to her when they were alone. "So ?" He asked, waiting with some excitement for her reaction.
She had observed him with her usual calm, seeming to take a moment to think. “I don’t know,” she finally replied in a measured tone, “I don’t have a mirror to see the result.”
He had nodded, understanding her reluctance. “No worries, my dear,” he replied with a soft laugh. "I'm sure the pearls look great on you. You wear them with grace, believe me."
Seeing that she wasn't completely convinced, he looked around the room and saw a mirror in a remote corner. His shadow had detached itself from him to eagerly grab the object before bringing it back to Alastor.
"Here's a mirror so you can see for yourself," he said, handing her the object with an encouraging smile. “I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the result.”
She took the mirror carefully, focusing on the reflected image of his decorated horns. He had observed her attentively, impatiently awaiting his verdict which was slow in coming.
"Well ?" He finally asked, impatient.
She placed the mirror on the table next to her cup, sighing slightly. "It's not bad," she admitted matter-of-factly, but he could see a slight glimmer of approval in her usually impassive eyes.
An amused smile stretched the lips of the Radio Demon as he contemplated (y/n)'s stubbornness in maintaining his impassivity. He let his hand rest on the top of the back of his chair, while with the other, he gently grabbed (y/n)'s fingers, bringing them close to his face without kissing them.
“I understand what you mean,” he murmured with a smirk. “Is that reason enough for you to stop filing your antlers ?”
She hesitated for a moment before answering : "I'll think about it."
He sighed with amusement, knowing that meant tacit agreement. "Lovely," he said, placing a light kiss on her knuckles.
Coming back to the present, he opened his eyes and realized that Niffty was long gone, probably to get rid of the cockroaches that were still hanging around. He took one last look at the bustling group downstairs and noticed Charlie looking at him quizzically. A smile played on Alastor's lips as he gave her a slight wave before walking away.
Walking down the hall towards his room, he wondered why that evening his thoughts were constantly on the one who had surprisingly found a place in his cold heart.
He remembered the occasions when they had crossed paths during the meetings held by Carmine, discussing the political affairs and intrigues that shook Hell. He remembered the times they had exchanged advice and strategies, recognizing her as a valuable ally despite their differences.
Of those moments when their words cut through the air like sharp blades, challenging each other's authority with equal audacity. To those where the silence of their meeting gazes revealed, if only for a moment, the complexity of their bonds. He remembered every detail with almost obsessive precision.
He also remembered the rare occasions when they had shared more intimate moments, away from prying eyes. Moments where he had discovered a side of (y/n) that he would never have suspected, a softer and more vulnerable side that contrasted with her image as a ruthless Overlord.
Like that evening when he invited her for a walk in one of the public gardens of the pentagram, where the secret of the sleeping roses seemed to whisper in their ears, their conversations tinged with teasing and intellectual challenges.
Or that time when he invited her to attend a performance in an old theater, where they enjoyed the shows while exchanging sharp glances to the rhythm of the actors. She had relaxed to the point of letting out small laughs at the comical scenes, Alastor savoring this rarity on the part of his companion with tenderness.
And then there had been Alastor's many impromptu visits to have dinner with her, which had eventually become a pleasant routine. They shared exquisite dishes and discussions imbued with a dignity appropriate to their status, before competing in mind games where their natural competitiveness was displayed in verbal jousts or complex table games. In these moments, he always admired the courage and presence of the oldest.
These enchanting memories brought him back to reality with a sweet nostalgia as he continued to walk down the hallway, his mind still filled with images of the one who had captured his interest and adoration in a unique way.
Arriving in his room, he closed the door behind him and noticed half of his meal left on the table in the forest linked to the room, the flies already flying ferociously around it. He told himself he should get rid of it, but not right away. Removing the piece of wood that Niffty had placed on him earlier, he placed it on the small coffee table located between two armchairs, facing a fireplace.
With a snap of his fingers, the fire was lit. Sitting comfortably in one of the armchairs, he placed his cane on the armrest. His shadow appeared again, busy preparing him a whiskey while the radio played soft music, evoking a melody clearly older than its time. The shadow brought him his glass and Alastor took it, swirling the liquid gently before bringing it to his lips, his eyes fixed on the dancing flames in the fireplace.
As he listened to the music, his thoughts drifted again to a distant moment, a moment shared with the one who could no longer see him in painting.
This memory was about one day, in (y/n)'s private garden, where they had taken a walk, alone, after she had insisted that no one come and disturb them. They had serious topics to discuss. At first, their conversation had focused on managing territories and the new demons that seemed to be growing more and more powerful, a concern that weighed on (y/n)'s shoulders as the protector of those who depended on her for their safety against the horrors and perfidies of other sinners.
However, Alastor, tired of these serious discussions, had decided to change the subject. He had made a seemingly innocuous remark to (y/n), telling her that he had never had the opportunity to see her dance.
She raised an eyebrow, intrigued by this abrupt change in conversation. " Why is it important ? » She asked in a calm voice, but full of curiosity.
He shrugged his shoulders, a teasing smile stretching his lips. "Oh, just out of curiosity. I thought maybe you didn't know how to dance."
" I can dance. But dances from my time, not really those from today. More like waltzes. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone around me who can dance the waltz as well as I used to do,” she replied.
He had a curious look as he asked, “And don’t you miss not being able to share these dances with someone?”
“I guess sometimes that lack shows up. But overall, I'm used to living with it. After all, there are many other things in life that deserve my attention."
He seemed to be thinking as she prepared to resume their serious conversation. But he had cut her off before she even started, announcing that he could fix it. Intrigued, she turned around and saw Alastor leaning forward, offering his hand with a charming smile.
She raised an eyebrow, asking, "What are you doing, Alastor ?"
Alastor, still smiling, replied : “I invite you to dance, my dear (y/n), that seems obvious to me."
She narrowed her eyes, slightly skeptical, retorting : “To dance ? Do you even know how to dance the waltz ?"
He replied with a slight laugh : “Oh, the waltz ? It's not that hard. And who knows, maybe I'll give you the opportunity to be better than me in something. Isn't that tempting ?"
She had thought about his proposition, weighing the pros and cons, before asking in a serious tone : “Hmm... I'm not sure. Are you sure of yourself ? The waltz requires close physical contact throughout the performance."
Alastor, with his usual confidence, replied more gently : "It touches me that you take this into consideration, but don't worry about it. After all, it's me who wants to initiate contact."
However, despite the confidence displayed by Alastor, a glimmer of hesitation persisted in the eyes of the powerful overlord. She had pointed out that they could not dance without music: “I can understand that. However, without music this is not possible. We only looked like two young people in the prime of life, innocent and naive, but that is not our case. What if we are seen ?"
Alastor, still wearing his charming smile, sat up slightly and said in a soft voice : “Don't worry about that. I have an idea."
He began to hum softly, a melodious tune that seemed to hang in the air like a promise of something magical to come, while she asked him skeptically, "And what exactly are you planning to do ?"
In a fluid gesture, he snapped his fingers, causing shadows to appear, each holding a different musical instrument. Violins, violas, cellos, and even a piano. Their notes had blended harmoniously to create a captivating melody, specific to the waltz.
As the soft sounds filled the air, Alastor, still smiling, moved a little closer to (y/n), holding out his hand again with a delicate gesture, whispering : "In these places, he no one there to see us. I have erected a barrier around us, which only we can undo. You can relax, (y/n)."
"...I don't know if that's a good idea, Alastor," she began, but he cut her off before she could finish her sentence, giving him a flirtatious look. Not malicious or with an ounce of dishonesty to better manipulate as he was used to doing, but a rarely sincere, authentic look, which slightly broke the demon's defenses, something he noticed.
“Come on, (y/n), you're not going to find another reason to refuse, are you ?"
She stared at him for a moment, feeling the weight of her own resolve weaken under Alastor's insistent gaze. Breathing deeply, searching within herself for the strength to overcome her apprehensions and let herself be carried away, she finally nodded, placing her hand in his with a slight tension in her gestures, but also, a glint of excitement in her eyes, ready to let yourself be drawn into the dance, if only for a moment.
Alastor, still smiling, said in a teasing voice : “Don't worry, my dear, I'm ready to take on the challenge. But I warn you, I will not spare you."
“You don’t have to hold back. I won’t either,” she retorted.
A light laugh escaped Alastor's lips as he replied, "Great, that's what I like to hear. After all, I'm a good dancer at soul, and I intend to prove it to you."
They began to dance, slowly at first, their movements synchronized to the rhythm of the haunting music that filled the air. At first, (y/n) seemed a little tense, her steps slightly stiff, but over time she relaxed, letting herself be carried away by the music with grace and beauty.
He couldn't help but be captivated by the overlord's transformation into an elegant and graceful dancer. Her natural charisma seemed to radiate as she grew in confidence, and he found himself completely charmed by her regal appearance.
Little by little, their dance turned into a sort of silent confrontation, an unspoken challenge to determine who would take the reins of the dance over the other. Their movements became more fluid and more complex with each passing moment. Their steps blended harmoniously with each other, their gazes never breaking away for a single moment as they let themselves be carried away by the music and the momentum of their dance.
As they continued, an unexpected warmth came over Alastor as he saw the bright smile light up (y/n)'s usually impassive face. His heart, which he thought had been extinguished for a long time, had skipped a beat, overwhelmed by a wave of emotions that he struggled to understand. It was the first time he had seen her like this, so alive, so radiant, and he felt strangely overwhelmed by this revelation. An intense heat erupted in his chest, a new and unfamiliar sensation that left him almost stunned.
He found himself selfishly wishing that time would stop, that this moment would never end, that they could continue to dance in this bubble of intimacy and connection. He wanted to capture this image of (y/n) smiling in his mind for eternity, a memory he knew he would cherish long after the music died down.
Then, like a rude awakening, the song shifted to the present, and he came to, his gaze falling on the glass of whiskey in his hands. The sweet melody of the waltz faded away, replaced by another in his room.
These memories swirled in Alastor's mind, reminding him with a hint of pain that those moments with (y/n) were gone since what he had done to her, breaking their already fragile bonds. However, he promised himself that if he survived the next day, and he was convinced that he would, he would do everything in his power to reconnect with (y/n), no matter how complicated the situation. He was determined to rebuild that bond, to try to regain her trust, even though it seemed like an almost impossible task.
Because after all, even demons needed moments of gentleness and light in the darkness of Hell. And if anyone could give him that, it was the one who captured his heart, even if he would never admit it out loud.
And he had all eternity ahead of him to do it.
----------------------------------------------------------
I hope this chapter has immersed you in the intimacy and complexity of the relationship between Alastor and (y/n). Thank you for reading and I hope to see you soon for chapter 5. ^^

Summary : Aveline, a young woman living in the countryside, leads a simple and joyful life. She has a special relationship with Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, in the dream realm.
___________________________________________
Under the stone vaults that sheltered her modest country home, Aveline welcomed the soft murmur of morning as the first rays of light made their way through the small panes of her window.
Leaving her sturdy wooden bed, she stretched elegantly, ready to embrace a new day in the countryside. The delicate creaking of wooden shutters accompanied their opening, revealing a soothing view of green hills stretching as far as the eye could see.
Dressed in simple clothes, she walked towards the small wooden table that served as a dining area. A loaf of fresh bread, some fruit from the market, and a jug of water waited, ready to satisfy his appetite. Following a familiar routine, she prepared her breakfast, letting the warmth of the hearth and the calm of the morning fill every corner of her home.
The day promised to be active, punctuated by the agricultural work that called for it. Equipped with her wicker basket, she left her house to breathe the fresh air. The green fields stretched out before her, ready for cultivation. Determinedly, she planted seeds, exchanging greetings with neighbors busy in their plots of land.
At noon, she returned home for a well-deserved break. She shared a simple meal with a neighborhood grandmother, bringing some fresh vegetables from her own garden. Laughter and conversation filled the atmosphere, creating a sense of community that echoed through the stone walls.
The afternoon was spent doing a variety of tasks, from repairing a bookshelf to making candles from locally harvested beeswax. As the sun sank below the horizon, she climbed the nearby hill, watching the sunset with a deep sense of peace.
When evening came, she returned to her little house, lit an oil lamp and sat near the fireplace. The wooden shutters were closed, creating an intimacy that enveloped the room. While knitting and humming, Aveline's mind wandered towards the midday conversation. The senior, with her sparkling gaze and caring sagacity, had noticed the change in his energy.
"By the bright stars ! Aveline, you seem more cheerful at these hours. It's a good thing, isn't it ?", she asked, fork suspended halfway to her mouth.
Aveline, with a sincere smile on her lips, nodded in approval.
"Oh yes ! My heart is overflowing with joy, living life in the countryside, meeting souls at the market. It fills me with pure happiness, well.", she replied, concentrating on her loaf of bread.
The senior had tilted her head slightly, her discerning gaze lingering on her.
“There’s no shadow in your words, you’re hiding nothing from me, right ?” she asked, teasingly curious.
“There is no secrecy in what I say. Why would you suspect such a thing ?”, Aveline replied, giving a reassuring smile.
The senior, always curious, continued with a touch of humor : “Well, I noticed that you shine with renewed vigor. Could this be mixed with some gallant youngster from our region, by chance ?”
Aveline, rolling her eyes to the sky with a little laugh, replied in a light tone: "Oh, you always have an art for romantic mysteries. No, that's hardly the situation. I just find happiness in the small pleasures of life."
The senior, wearing a knowing smile, had played the game playfully.
"Ah, but my dear, the kiss of curiosity whispers to me that Hugo, the young man full of charm from the village, has looked at you very insistently. Is there some mystery lurking in the shadow of these facts?" she asked, one eyebrow raised mischievously.
Aveline, shaking her head with teasing amusement, replied with a lightness tinged with mystery : "The rumors are sometimes more fanciful than the legends. Hugo remains a comrade, nothing more. My bliss comes simply from a life serene, surrounded by kind souls."
“As long as you find joy, my dear, this is the main.” she concluded, raising her glass in a toast dedicated to the joy and simplicity of the moment.
Benevolent glances met over glasses, creating a picture of complicity between generations.
However, after taking a sip of her drink, the senior couldn't help but add : "But you see, my dear Aveline, now that you've reached the age of 23, if ever If you need a helping hand to find a husband worthy of the name, I could well tackle this task."
Aveline, smiling at this suggestion, responded with amused teasing : "You're like a bottomless well of relevant tips. However, there's no need for help in this matter. My heart is already captivated."
The senior, surprised by this revelation, had delicately placed her cup, fixing Aveline with a curious look.
“Oh ? And who conquered the heart of my dear Aveline ?”
Aveline, letting out a soft laugh, remained silent for a moment, savoring the mystery she had just created. Then, with a hint of mischief in her eyes, she replied: "Well, some riddles are destined to remain unsolved, aren't they ?"
The two women burst out laughing, sharing a friendly moment around this romantic enigma. The senior, shaking her head slightly with a knowing smile, had decided not to push any further.
Aveline, sitting near the fireplace, gently closed her eyes, her persistent smile testifying to inner tranquility. The flames danced, creating a comforting atmosphere in his little home.
She told herself that even if she shared the truth with those around her, no one would be able to fully understand the magnitude of Morpheus' existence. He was not simply an immaterial being, but a transcendent force, above any known deity, the personification of the dream itself. King of Dreams and Lord of Nightmares, he carried on his shoulders all the thoughts, hopes and fears of humanity.
Little by little, the weight of sleep enveloped Aveline. His limbs, weighed down by the gentle torpor, lost their vigor, becoming delicately numb. She let herself be carried away by the soothing tide of sleep, her mind slipping imperceptibly towards the realm of dreams. The imaginary stars assembled in a celestial ballet, and Aveline, now immersed in the dreamlike sanctuary, found herself alongside Morpheus.
A sparkle of happiness lit up her eyes, and she walked towards him with contagious joy.
- By divine dreams ! Aveline exclaimed, her radiant smile resonating in the dreamlike twists and turns. What are we planning to do this day ? She asked, sparkling with childish excitement.
Morpheus, with his calm and majestic voice, replied :
- I was just thinking that we could stroll on the hills, slowly, contemplating the changing landscape of dreams.
Aveline, delighted, began to share the details of her day. She told the meetings at the market, the comforting warmth of the fireplace in her modest home, and the nuances of twilight that had bathed the village. Morpheus listened attentively, his blue eyes reflecting the silent interest he had in each word. Each story from Aveline forged a closer bond between them, strengthening the connection he felt.
In her impulse to share, she recalled the conversation with the grandmother during the midday meal. A light laugh escaped her lips, mixing amusement and affection for the old lady's concerns.
- Sir Morpheus, you would not believe the tricks that an elder dared to plot today ! Aveline exclaimed, a radiant smile adorning her face. She breathed again the power to make me bound. A bit too much, but isn't it charming ?
The words echoed in the firmament of dreams, but while Aveline's laughter persisted, a transformation took place in the dreamlike atmosphere. Morpheus, upon hearing these words, felt a tension building within him.
He stopped, his gaze momentarily losing its brightness. A shadow passed over his unchanging face, reflecting deep worry and inner introspection. The clouds swirled above them, reflecting the emotional tumult that shook the infinity of dreams.
Aveline, heedless of the storm brewing within him, continued her story. However, he remained silent, letting the echo of Aveline's words resonate in the bubbling bubbling of his thoughts.
Morpheus' emotions, often hidden behind the quiet majesty of his being, seemed to quiver to the surface, revealing an unexpected sensitivity to the prospect of an earthly destiny that might take him away from Aveline.
He observed her and asked her, in a soft but serious voice :
- What are your feelings, Aveline, in the face of these proposals for union and this tenacious insistence ?
She stopped, a shadow passing fleetingly across her face. She replied, a tone of feigned indifference in her voice :
- That doesn't really interest me, especially not with Hugo. We still get along well, but because of this, we're almost pushed to mate.
Morpheus, listening, felt his being stiffen. The storm rumbled louder, mirroring the storm brewing within him. He asked with a hint of worry hidden in his voice :
- Hugo... What rank does he hold in your heart ?
Aveline, perceiving the change in the dreamlike atmosphere, noted the quiver in Morpheus' voice. She took a deep breath before answering :
- Hugo remains a sidekick in our childish days, nothing else. We grew up together, shared memories, but there was never more between us. This pushing to agree is just... A custom, I guess.
However, as she spoke, she felt a strange transformation within him. The storm became more intense, lightning streaked the sky of dreams, and Morpheus' face took on a more sinister, darker tone. A shiver ran down Aveline's spine, an involuntary start at this unexpected change.
- Lord Morpheus, what happens ? She asked with a glint of concern in her eyes, realizing that her words had awakened something deep within him.
Morpheus' face, usually impassive, expressed unusual tension. The bursts of storm continued to tear the dreamlike sky, creating a heavy and charged atmosphere. Aveline, sensing the change in him, hesitated for a moment before continuing.
- Are you still with me ? She asked with a hint of apprehension in her voice.
Taking a deep breath, Aveline, determined to understand the darkness that had invaded Morpheus' aura, took a deep breath before continuing.
- Lord Morpheus, I perceive that a worry is deeply agitating you. I don't want to be the cause of your torment, but I can't help but worry. Please tell me what's bothering you.
Morpheus, meeting Aveline's insightful gaze, felt the weight of the truth he had to share.
- Aveline, your words about these pressures for marriage resonated in me in an unexpected way. I cannot claim indifference. I do not want you to unite and move away from me. He admitted, his gaze reflecting a rare vulnerability.
Aveline, feeling a stirring of hope, tried to understand.
- Why, Lord Morpheus ? Why are you reluctant to see me united by the sacred bonds of marriage ?
Morpheus' eyes looked deep into Aveline's, an intensity marked by love and sadness. He whispered in a soft voice :
- Because, Aveline, I can no longer deny the intensity of my feelings. These insistences laid bare the depth of my emotions, emotions that I had neither anticipated nor invited.
Aveline, struck by the declaration, felt her heartbeat intensify.
- What do you feel, my Lord ? She asked, a glimmer of hope growing within her.
The emotional turmoil seemed to dissipate into the dream realm, giving way to a shared intimacy between them. Morpheus, feeling the need to transcend the limits of the ineffable, slowly approached Aveline. Her slender fingers gently took his hand, creating a soft, comforting touch. Aveline, surprised by this new proximity, felt the warmth of Morpheus' hand and was overcome by shy emotion, her cheeks taking on a rosy tint.
Morpheus, looking into Aveline's eyes, murmured in a calm voice but imbued with particular intensity :
- Aveline, beyond the confines of dreams and realities, my feelings for you are infinite.
She felt her heart pulse with a new intensity. The shadow of shyness in his eyes revealed the deep impact of these words. She looked away slightly, searching for her own words in the abyss of emotions that overwhelmed her.
- Lord Morpheus... She stammered, an indescribable emotion coloring her voice.
Morpheus, understanding the complexity of this moment, added tenderly :
- In these dreamlike lands, I discovered you, and in each of your dreams, I reveal a new facet of the love that I feel for you.
The bursts of storm that had previously agitated the sky of dreams seemed to calm down, giving way to a deep calm.
Aveline, overwhelmed by the emotion of the moment and by Morpheus' profound declaration, took a deep breath before responding, her eyes shining with obvious sincerity.
- Lord Morpheus, I... I feel the same emotion in my heart. She admitted softly, a shy smile lighting up her face. In each of your dreams, in each shared moment, I unearth something deeper, which goes beyond what I thought possible.
She tightened her grip slightly on Morpheus' hand, as if to anchor this moment in the reality of their intertwined existences.
- I cannot imagine my life alongside another soul. The village's developments, the customs, all of this seems frivolous in light of what we share. Morpheus, I love you with all my heart, beyond dreams and realities.
The echoes of his words seemed to resound through the ether of the dream realm, creating a timeless symphony. Morpheus smiled with majestic grace. In that moment, time seemed suspended, and the bond between them, woven by the threads of the dream, intensified, becoming a reality as unalterable as the infinity of the stars.
Following this, in the heart of the timeless realm of dreams, they wandered hand in hand, exploring the vast, infinite expanses of their transcendent love. The dreamlike hills stretched as far as the eye could see, bathed in the soft glow of the stars which seemed to flutter especially for them.
Each night transformed into an eternal symphony, where they settled on fluffy clouds, gazing at the stars that twinkled like jewels in the sky of dreams. Together, they wandered through shared dreams, exploring the depths of the human imagination. Each scenario, each story, was transformed into a new page of their common adventure, an odyssey in which they lost themselves with delight. They shared their thoughts, their hopes, their fears. These moments of confidence became solid pillars of their love.
At the dawn of dreams, they embraced each other tenderly, welcoming each new day with renewed joy.
Aveline's love in his waking life fueled his inexhaustible creativity. Every gesture in her craft activities or every conversation with the villagers bore the mark of the inspiration she found in the dreams shared with Morpheus. His creations became works capturing the magic of dreams, arousing the admiration of all.
The self-confidence she exuded was palpable. Faced with daily challenges, she approached each situation with renewed confidence, carried by the certainty of a love that silently supported her.
The village's social pressures regarding marriage slipped over her like water over a swan's feathers, even at the age of 25. Aveline, without even being aware of it, became a source of inspiration for the village. Her radiance of serenity, her deep understanding and her true love shaped a world around her, creating a reality transcending the simple daily life of a medieval village.
Everyone's dreams began to take on warmer hues and more human contours. Morpheus felt a gentle transformation taking place within him. His emotions, once frozen, were awakening to a new reality.
Among the emblematic figures who populated this kingdom, Marvin observed with reserve, wondering if this was a good idea, Aveline being human, which meant that this was bound to end badly.
Lucienne, the scholarly librarian, perceived this new dimension with academic interest. In the endless annals of her knowledge, she saw this as an opportunity for Morpheus to explore the intricacies of human relationships, to add a new page to the eternal book of the realm of dreams.
The beating of Jessamy's wings resonated with wise anticipation, perceiving the new richness that this love brought to the realm of dreams and to the happiness of his master.
The moment Morpheus decided it was time for Aveline to meet the people of his kingdom, the young woman felt both feverish anticipation and a certain apprehension about her own worth. She wondered if she would be up to it. However, all his fears were quickly swept away. Fantastic creatures and dreamlike spirits approached her with sparkling curiosity, transforming her arrival into a dazzling spectacle. Fairies danced, dragons awoke from their millennial sleep, and every corner of the dream realm was filled with the liveliness that this mortal brought.
Everyone, upon contact with the villager, ends up appreciating her.
In the shadows, the Dream of the Infinite, observed with a duality of emotions. The ineffable joy of seeing Aveline accept and actively participate in this universe that he had shaped since the dawn of time was mixed with a glimmer of worry. The complexity of dreams and reality, intertwined with Aveline's thoughts, created unpredictable swirls in her ethereal realm.
Yet, deep within his immortal being, he could not deny the beauty of this integration. The dreams were transformed into an even richer canvas, each smile, each emotion of Aveline adding a new nuance to these works. Thus, in the brilliance of dreams, Aveline's story was inscribed in the very lines of dreamlike existence, under the attentive and loving gaze of Morpheus.
This had led to this discussion between the two one day, while she was taking a dip in the water of an ocean. Under Morpheus's tender gaze, he asked her if she could come closer, something she did, curious as she understood that he wanted to share his thoughts with her.
When she was close enough, he took her hand, a gesture of affection, asking her :
- Would you like to become my queen, to share the eternities at my side ? He asked, sure the answer would be an immediate yes.
However, the words that escaped Aveline's lips were an unexpected melody.
- I cannot, Morpheus. Not for lack of love, you know that well. It's quite simply that I couldn't leave like this, abandoning my relatives, my life among humans.
The next moment was a thrill in the realm of dreams. Morpheus, accustomed to certainty and control, felt a dissonance, an unexpected chord that shook the very foundations of his being. The stars in his eyes darkened, and a shadow of doubt crept into his mind.
- Why, Aveline ? He whispered, his calm voice betraying a hint of perplexity. Is this a challenge that you present? Don't you love me enough to share this kingdom with me ?
- No, Morpheus, no challenge. She clarified immediately, knowing her past experiences. I love you more than anything. But my life as a human has meaning for me, and I cannot abandon it so quickly. I would be delighted to stay by your side forever, but give me a little more time as a human.
Morpheus stared at Aveline, processing her words, hesitating.
- How long will it have to be like this ? He asked, seeking to understand the fleeting temporality that linked humans to their roots.
Aveline, gentle and loving, gracefully raised her hand to touch Morpheus' face.
- I can't say... Maybe four or five years ? A short moment compared to the eternity that stretches out before us, but I want to cherish those I love in the village, as long as time allows me... Do you understand ? I swear to be all yours, and none other.
The words imbued with sincerity and this particular promise resonated in Morpheus. He closed his eyes, sinking into silent meditation. The twists and turns of infinite time passed through his consciousness, each second lost in the brilliance of dreamlike constellations.
After a moment of hanging, he opened his eyes. A glimmer of understanding and acceptance lit up his eyes.
- It's agreed, Aveline. Take the time you need, savor the human moments that are dear to you. When you are ready, eternity will await us, woven from our dreams and our love.
Aveline, imbued with gratitude and affection, tenderly approached Morpheus. His lips delicately brushed her cheek in a sweet kiss. Morpheus, touched by this sincere gesture, felt the warmth of the kiss anchor within him.
-Thank you, Morpheus. Aveline whispered, her voice light as a breeze. I will know how to savor every moment, and when the moment comes, I will be ready to share our eternity.
The kiss on the cheek became a silent symbol of their agreement, sealing the understanding between the immortal and the mortal. In this timeless corner of the realm of dreams, their story continued, guided by the promise of a love that would defy time and changing realities.
However, this never happened.

I hope that this second part of the story of Aveline and Morpheus has transported you to their magical and loving world. I wish you a wonderful day, filled with joy and inspiration. I look forward to seeing you again for part 3. ^^

Hazbin Hotel theory ( centered on Alastor ) :
Hello (or good evening), I am writing this post to share with you a simple but interesting theory regarding Alastor. This theory is not from me, but from a French YouTuber (whom I invite you to go see if you speak French) called: Team Taika Raven (name of the video: Character analysis: Alastor, a Devil of Hotel Manager).
At the end of his video, he states the following theory :
Alastor would have made two contracts (not necessarily for his soul). In the last song of episode 8, Alastor shows that he aims higher than Overlord status, he wants to rule all of Hell. But this will only be possible once his wings are freed, once his contract is broken (Alastor inspires power, chaos and freedom).
If indeed Alastor made a pact with Rou for power, then why would he want to break it ? He would lose everything he has acquired, that wouldn't work. Additionally, Rou, the root of evil, and likely the series' main antagonist, is a purely chaotic entity. She succeeds in infiltrating the earthly world when Lucifer gives the apple to Eve. All she wants is to spread as much chaos around her as possible, just like Alastor. The YouTuber later said that it wouldn't be surprising if she didn't ask Alastor for anything in return for the power gain since the latter was accomplishing her will just by being himself. Alastor would in some way be Rou's agent, the manifestation of her spirit in the world of the Underworld. The fact that Alastor is his shadow independent of his body could be a sign of another entity in him, that of Rou, symbolized by his powers. The YouTuber continues by saying that it would even be possible that Alastor made this pact during his lifetime, before his arrival in the underworld through voodoo rituals (which would explain why he had so many powers upon his arrival in the underworld although he was a human before). Therefore, it would seem odd that he would want to get out of the contract with Rou, knowing that he loves what he does. Moreover, why would he suddenly decide to want to break this pact suddenly, like that with Rou after having disappeared for 7 years ?
The YouTuber follows his theory by saying that Alastor, known and feared in the underworld for his power, seems to have lost his abilities, as the Vees mention in their song saying that he does not seem as powerful as before. When he returned, rumors spread that Alastor was a shadow of his former self. This could be explained by the fact that the genocide that Alastor was causing had attracted the attention of Lilith, causing her to enter into a forced contract restricting her powers.
That 7 years ago, Alastor and Lilith fought and that Alastor's defeat forced him to make a pact with Lilith not to die. Lilith would have done this to protect her people, but surely because of her commitment to Adam in Paradise, the commitment being that of preventing the souls of sinners from being saved so that they would not come to Paradise leaving the extermination to be carried out. If Alastor started killing every threatening person in the underworld, the purge would no longer make sense. Seeing the real threat of Alastor's abnormal powers, she decided to seal part of his powers and flee to Paradise, preventing him from following her. Thus, Alastor has every interest in Charlie's project working so that he can access Heaven and find Lilith to break his contract. The fact of having made a deal with Charlie, in exchange for a favor, would be a means of putting pressure on Lilith to break her contract with him.
What would Adam gain by welcoming Lilith? Glory, because being a person full of himself, Adam wanted to become more powerful and known than the seraphim as we can see subtly in his song where he has 8 wings and not 6.
The YouTuber ends up saying that the name "Alastor" means "the spirit of vengeance" in ancient Greek, sticking even more with the idea that he is just a tool, an incarnation of someone's revenge.
Perhaps Eve who would be under the control of Rou, being the character most likely to want revenge, considered just the stopgap for Adam who had not digested his rake with Lilith. It condemned humanity to suffering and mortality thereby depriving Adam of the throne which was due to it. Her stay on Earth must have been the most horrible where Adam had to make her pay for every day of her existence because of her betrayal. Lilith and Lucifer are also responsible for his misfortune, because they are the ones who gave him the apple. Fueled by hatred and resentment, Eve is possibly the one who most wants revenge on both hell and paradise, a receptacle of choice for Rou.
What do I think of it :
I find this analysis highlights several intriguing elements of the story and character motivations, particularly Alastor and his potential connection to Rou, as well as the implications of his past and present actions.
The connection between Alastor and Rou as an agent of chaos and fulfillment of Rou's will is a fascinating idea. This theory suggests that the pact between Alastor and Rou could have been established well before the events of the series, perhaps even during his lifetime, which would explain his powers upon his arrival in Hell. Additionally, the idea that Lilith restricted Alastor's powers due to his potential threat to the balance of the underworld and her own pact with Adam is also an interesting interpretation.
Furthermore, regarding Lilith and the extermination of sinners, I think she grants it to protect her people who are the real demons and not the sinners, which would explain why she allows such carnage while she is portrayed in the series as a queen who loves her subjects. Sinners being only the beings who are supposed to be the worst of humanity, harming demons for the most part. ( and for the romance, so that Lucifer is less confronted with the spectacle of sinners which he does not appreciate at first from the serie. )
This would explain his interest in the hotel and why he was so hostile towards Lucifer, not wanting the two to get close, wanting to take advantage of Charlie's slightest vulnerability as much as possible, making him believe that he is on his side ( that's why he went to see her when she wasn't comfortable in bed in episode 7, manipulating her into finally agreeing to make a deal). Alastor is a greedy and manipulative being, if he went to see Rosie to help him, it was certainly to save the hotel, but to show Charlie that she can trust him, since he manages the situation to save his project.
Finally, the idea that Eve could be an instrument of vengeance controlled by Rou, due to her grievances against the Underworld and Heaven, brings another layer of depth to the plot. This raises questions about the nature of power and manipulation in the world of “Hazbin Hotel,” as well as the motivations and desires of each character.
Overall, this theory offers a fascinating perspective on the characters and plot of the series, and it raises many interesting questions about the relationships between the various characters and the forces that manipulate them.
The YouTuber puts forward other interesting theories, don't hesitate to watch his video.

Asexuality, what is it ? ( Alastor )
I saw a post from an asexual person who expressed their opinion on certain Alastor fanfictions in relation to his disturbance in the sex scenes, without explaining what asexuality was. Being an asexual person myself, I'm going to explain what it is for people who don't know, and it's totally ok not to know, being on a spectrum ( like the concept of autism spectrum), it's this :
It is a sexual orientation characterized by a lack of sexual attraction towards other people. Asexual individuals may experience romantic emotions, but they generally do not experience sexual desire. This can manifest in different ways, some asexuals may feel no interest in sex ( like me ), while others may feel an aversion or repulsion towards the idea of sexual activity.
It is a natural variation of human sexuality. Asexual individuals can live happy, fulfilling lives without feeling the need for sexual activity ( including me ). However, they may also experience challenges in a society that often values sexuality and may not always recognize or understand asexuality.
It's important to note that asexuality is not the same as abstinence, which is a conscious decision to abstain from sexual activity for personal, religious, or other reasons. Asexuality is an innate sexual orientation, and asexual individuals can have intimate, affectionate relationships that do not necessarily include sexual activity. ( because sex oulalah, it's not just about penetration or touching the penis etc .)
Asexuality Spectrum :
As with other sexual orientations, asexuality exists on a spectrum. Some people may define themselves as completely asexual, while others may fall somewhere between asexuality and moderate sexual attraction (called "gray-asexuality" or "gray-A").
But can an asexual have sex ?
Yes, an asexual individual can have sex even if they do not feel sexual desire. Human sexuality is complex and can include various motivations other than sexual desire, such as emotional intimacy, physical pleasure, the desire to satisfy a partner, or simply exploring one's own body.
Some asexual individuals may choose to have sex for a variety of reasons, including to satisfy their partner, to maintain an intimate relationship, or to explore their own sexual identity. However, this does not necessarily mean that they feel intrinsic sexual desire or find the same satisfaction in sexual activity as non-asexual individuals.
It is important to understand that every individual, whether asexual or not, has the right to choose what is best for their own sex life and relationships, respecting their own boundaries and preferences.
Can an asexual's body react to physical arousal such as getting hard or, for women, getting wet without feeling sexual arousal ?
Yes, an asexual person's body can react physiologically to sexual stimuli, even in the absence of sexual desire or emotional arousal. These physiological responses, such as erection in men or vaginal lubrication in women, are natural reactions of the body to physical stimuli and can occur regardless of sexual orientation or sexual desire.
It is important to recognize that the body's physiological responses are not always in agreement with a person's inner feelings or desires. So, even though an asexual person may experience these physiological responses, it does not necessarily mean that they are experiencing sexual desire or subjective sexual arousal. (for example, it is not because a man has an erection whatever his sexuality that he is aroused, the same for a woman who has pointed breasts)
This highlights the distinction between the body's physical response and the emotional or psychological experience of sexuality, and it also shows the complexity of human sexuality. Each individual may have different experiences and reactions, and it is important to respect everyone's feelings and boundaries, regardless of their sexual desires or orientation.
Romanticism and sexuality:
Being asexual does not necessarily mean being aromantic. Many asexuals may experience romantic emotions and seek intimate, loving relationships, even if they do not involve sexual elements.
What's the difference between asexual and demisexual ? :
The main difference between an asexual person and a demisexual person lies in their sexual and emotional attractions. An asexual person feels little or no sexual attraction to others, whereas a demisexual person may feel sexual attraction, but only after developing a strong emotional bond with someone.
An asexual person, if they love someone, could please their partner ?
Yes, an asexual person can certainly please their partner, even if they don't feel sexual desire. Pleasure in a relationship is not necessarily limited to sexual activity. Intimate, satisfying relationships can take many forms, and there are many ways to show affection, love, and support to a partner.
For an asexual person, this may mean expressing love and affection through other means, such as romantic gestures, hugs, deep conversations, shared activities, or even intimate gestures that are not sexual in nature . The key is to communicate openly with your partner, understand their needs and desires, and find ways to maintain emotional connection and intimacy in the relationship that are satisfying for both parties.
What about Alastor ?
As for Alastor in the series, he is portrayed as being asexual. However, it is not mentioned that he is also aromantic in the series or Vivziepop (unless I'm wrong but in these cases, tell me by citing an exact source). Although Vivziepop has stated that Alastor does not enjoy physical contact, this does not necessarily determine his sexuality, as several people may dislike physical contact for various reasons other than their sexual orientation. It is important to recognize that asexuality is a spectrum and that it varies from person to person.
( On the other hand, we know that sex repels him, as indicated by his reaction to Angel Dust's request. )
As Vivziepop has not explicitly explained Alastor's case, it is important to respect his sexuality while recognizing that sex can be expressed in different ways: penetration, just caresses (and yes), just kisses (and yes) , mutual masturbation, oral sex (and yes, sending messages to each other in order to excite your partner is sex), erotic games, etc. Therefore, as long as one respects his identity, it is possible to include sexual scenes with Alastor in the derivative works, keeping in mind these nuances and that it will never feel like non-asexual sex for him .
To finish :
In the final year of my degree in psychology and having realised 5 years ago that I was asexual (and my god, it felt good to put my sexual orientation into words), I am available to answer your questions and provide clarification on the subject, don't hesitate to ask me !

Summary : In this thrilling chapter, the overlords ( y/n ) and Alastor engage in a breathtaking confrontation, where secrets and tensions reach their climax.
______________________________________________
When (y/n) heard the radio demon's request, his eyebrows furrowed slightly.
However, she kept her calm and replied in a calm voice, with her head held high :
- We have already exchanged our views on this matter. I fear that further talk will lead nowhere.
Alastor tilted his head slightly, a disconcerting smile stretching his thin lips.
- Oh, but I'm sure we could discover some interesting new angles to explore ! There are still so many topics we could discuss, it's been seven years, after all.
- You shouldn't keep the princess waiting.
- She won't be alone, since our dearest Taku will be there to keep her company, right ? He asked with a wicked smile, tilting his head towards him.
A vein appears on his forehead, declaring as if each word were filled with venom :
- Because you seriously think I'm going to leave you alone with Lady (y/n) ?
- You seem to think that I am a threat to (y/n). But you should have known by now that I am a demon of my word. I won't hurt him.
Taku was absolutely not convinced by the feigned confidence of the being whom he hated more than anything, having never been able to see him in painting. His features hardened, revealing his deep skepticism.
-Your words are as reliable as the oaths of a serpent. He replied in an icy tone. I will not let you manipulate Lady (y/n) with your deceptions.
Her words only renewed the amusement in Alastor's red eyes. He refrains from saying out loud what Taku wanted at all costs to keep for them, knowing full well that if (y/n) found out, the demon with glasses could give up on the relationship he had with his mistress . Moreover, even if it really itched him, it was stipulated in the pact he had made with him, stipulating that he should not tell it explicitly to the one who had been the motivation as much for Taku as for him to make this deal.
- Oh, you are disconcertingly serious. But I guess that’s what makes (y/n) like you so much. However, you can be assured that our conversation will be most courteous.
A tense silence fell as they looked at each other, each holding their positions. (y/n) observed the scene with an impassive expression. Nevertheless, she knew she had to intervene, knowing that the confrontation between these two beings could have unpredictable consequences, which she did not want in her territory and which she did not have the energy at the moment to take care of it.
Therefore, she broke the silence with a calm but firm voice :
- Taku, leave us. Alastor will not give up. I will call you if I need you.
His advisor and closest friend looked about to protest, but a stern look from (y/n) silenced him. He diverted his attention to Alastor who was telling him with eyes that he had won this round. He stops himself from jumping at her throat to finally get rid of that smile.
- As you wish, Lady (y/n). But don't let your guard down in his presence, I'll be right behind the door.
- Thank you, Taku. Take care of distracting the princess so she doesn't get bored, please. She asked him, giving a small smile, knowing that what she was asking him was uncomfortable.
- Your wishes are orders. He replied with a slight bow, before straightening up and casting a look of concern in the direction of (y/n).
Then, he left, taking his time, staring at Alastor who was taunting him. Once the door opened before closing with a dull noise, and the two overlords found themselves alone, Alastor turned to (y/n), a mischievous smile dancing on his lips.
- My dear, now that we are alone, perhaps we could have a more… Frank discussion.
(y/n) looked at him suspiciously, but she nodded slowly.
- Alright. But I warn you, I will not tolerate any attempt at manipulation or deception.
She knew very well that Alastor was capable of devious tricks and that she had to remain on her guard. However, a small part of her was curious to know what he had in mind. Even if venturing there was often synonymous with danger.
Alastor raised his hands in feigned innocence.
- Let's see, I'm just a demon looking for a civilized conversation. Don't worry my dear, I promise.
(y/n) arched an eyebrow, already not liking what she had just heard.
- Alright, let's get started then. What did you want to talk about that wouldn't merit me killing you on the spot ? She asked scathingly.
Alastor burst out laughing at this, as if he appreciated (y/n)'s biting humor.
- Ah, my dear, always so charming ! I see you haven’t lost your sense of humor !
Then he added with a touch of playfulness :
- But let's be serious, a proper conversation can only be had around tea, am I right ?
Without waiting for a response, he moved with disconcerting ease towards the coffee table to take (y/n)'s empty cup, before heading towards the desk where all the necessary utensils lay. He then prepared tea, a light song without words, filled with radio noise, being heard by Alastor. The melody floated in the air, gently filling the room with its signature ambiance.
Once the tea was ready, Alastor handed a steaming cup to (y/n) with a satisfied smile, as if he had accomplished a small feat. He then left and settled comfortably on the sofa where Charlie had been sitting earlier, a cup in his hands, having placed his cane at his side with delicate elegance.
(y/n), bringing the cup to her lips, smelled the sweet scent of green tea with wild berries, her favorite. She then looked up at Alastor, noticing the satisfying smile that adorned his face.
The atmosphere was strangely calm, almost peaceful, despite the presence of these two powerful and opposing personalities. A fragile balance seemed to reign between them. However, (y/n), still on guard, took a sip of tea, not liking the fact that he could have remembered such a thing.
Alastor looked her up and down with a smirk, his smile widening as his gaze rested on the woman's antlers. He observed for a moment, as if enjoying something in particular.
- I see that you have stopped file your woods. He finally commented, his tone light, but full of innuendo.
(y/n) replied calmly, his eyes not leaving his :
- There was no point in continuing. They were still growing, and without them, I would not have been able to wear the pearls that adorn my antlers.
Her tone was calm, but firm, meaning she wasn't willing to play this little teasing game. Hearing this, Alastor, just before taking a sip of tea, added pettishly :
-And remind me who gave you these pearls ?
(y/n) held back from making a face and she decided to change the subject by asking him what he wanted to talk to her about. Alastor, still smiling with a mocking look that annoyed (y/n), responded by asking her a completely different question :
- Why were you crying when we entered ?
Alastor took another sip of tea, savoring every moment, his teasing smile never leaving his lips. He stared at (y/n) with a discerning gaze, as if seeking to break through her defenses and uncover her deepest secrets.
(y/n) suddenly felt uncomfortable under the radio demon's penetrating attention. She had always been good at hiding her emotions, but something about Alastor seemed to read through her like an open book, which she had always hated. Under this unspoken pressure, she chose her words carefully, seeking to maintain control of the situation.
- My emotions are irrelevant to this conversation. She replied in a calm but firm voice. If that was all you had to say to me, I would ask you to finish your drink and leave.
- You didn't mind showing them to your advisor. He remarked with a smirk, leaning forward slightly.
- Taku is much more than an advisor. She replied in a firm tone. He has been my closest friend since the beginning of this project, especially in recent years. I have complete trust in him, and I know that he would never betray me, unlike others.
- We both know who is the one best able to read your mind. And it's definitely not him.
His tone was provocative, as if he was trying to push (y/n) over the edge, to test her to see how far she would go to preserve her appearance of dignity.
- But anyway, if you don't want to tell me, I just have to guess ! So what was the reason this time, hmm? Insults ? Fuss ? Theft ? Lies ? A murder ?! Really, (y/n), you can't leave me hanging like this. Come on, I know you can't wait to share this with me to make you feel better. So what is this little thing that managed to bring tears to your eyes ?
(y/n) felt a mixture of frustration and sadness rising within her. She knew she shouldn't let Alastor get to her like this, but her emotions were more complex than she cared to admit. Part of her wanted to confide, even if it meant being vulnerable in front of the radio demon. Moreover, she knew that the wound was still too fresh in her heart to hold back as usual.
She closed her eyes for a moment, thinking about Lynn, about her mistakes, about the pain she had caused. Then, with a resigned sigh, she opened her eyes and looked straight at Alastor.
- Very well, if you insist. It was... A personal matter. Someone I was forced to punish. It weighs on me, even though I know it was necessary.
Her voice shook slightly on the last words, betraying the emotion she was trying to hold back. Alastor's smile faded slightly as he watched (y/n) with unhealthy interest. He knew he had struck a chord with the overlord and he was curious to know more about this personal matter that was tormenting her.
- A punishment, you say ? This seems serious. So who was this person ? What did she do to deserve such a sentence from you ? He asked in a soft voice, almost honeyed, but imbued with a strange glimmer of cruelty.
(y/n) looked away for a moment, fighting the urge to reveal more details. She was used to keeping her emotions and private decisions except Taku, and even then, she didn't tell him everything. But something in Alastor's eyes pushed her to confide, despite her cautious instincts.
As had been the case on several occasions between them, in private.
- She was one of my protected, a person in whom I had placed my trust. She was revealed to be a stalker in her human life. When I welcomed Elodie, a new demon, into our family at Taku's request, she panicked when she saw Lynn and claimed she had no business being here. I then used the terms of our pact to shed light on the matter. As with all sinners I protect, if someone lies to me, the chain around their neck immediately appears. Lynn ended up confessing under duress that she was a victim at the beginning, but had ended up becoming a harasser altogether, having no choice, according to her, despite the words of Elodie who confirmed that it was false, that she had the option not to do so.
As she said this, she held back her tears from falling again, her hands tightening around the cup she held tightly. Alastor tilted his head, silently inviting her to continue. Taking a breath, she manages to hold her sadness, making it feel good to admit all of this out loud.
- I was forced to install the gallows, to plunge Lynn into a pocket dimension for eternity, forced into solitude and pain. I had no other choice to preserve harmony in our family. Even though Lynn had been a victim at first, she gave in to the harm she suffered. The sinners I welcome are just victims of life, are people who have done things like self-defense, for example. And they are fully aware of what awaits them before giving me their soul if they disappoint me.
Her gaze shone with a glimmer of determination as she explained the reasons behind her difficult decision. Alastor, listening attentively, let a heavy silence settle after his words. Then, in a lighter tone, he replied :
- You are terrifying, my dear, beneath your angelic appearance and beautiful words, hides a very cruel and merciless being.
Alastor let out a small laugh, his smile stretching a little further, revealing his sharp teeth.
- But that's what makes you so fascinating, isn't it ? This duality between grace and cruelty.
(y/n) corrected himself with a sigh, a glint of weariness crossing his eyes.
- I'm too tired to listen to your nonsense, Alastor. You better leave.
He nodded with a teasing smile.
- Of course, of course. I don't want to bother you any longer. I'll have to leave soon anyway. I plan to take Charlie to Cannibal Town to ask Rosie for help. Since you refuse to participate in this war, I will have to look elsewhere for help.
(y/n) raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised.
- Are you serious ? Do you really think that despicable cannibals could face the exterminating angels ?
Alastor rolled his eyes with a chuckle.
- Apparently, your animosity towards cannibals has not disappeared.
(y/n) shook her head firmly.
- She will never be able to fly away. They freely chose to eat humans while they were alive. I can't forget this. Although Rosie is charming in her own way, her nature means that I could never accept her. Moreover, I did not want to add despair to the princess by telling her that your attempt is doomed to failure. You can't kill angels.
Alastor responded with an enigmatic smile that made his eyes shine with a mischievous glint.
- In reality, it is possible to kill them.
- I beg your pardon ?
- Yes, my dear, angels are not invincible, we can destroy them. This offers new perspectives, don't you think ?
Alastor tilted his head, his smile widening slightly, clearly enjoying the shock he had caused.
- How could I believe you ? Do you even have proof of what you are saying ?
- I have no proof on me, apart from my word. It was Carmilla Carmine herself who killed an angel while defending her daughters. She plans to keep it secret so as not to create an uproar within Hell and not risk endangering her family. You would have seen the decapitated head of the angel if you came to the meetings of the overlords when there was one.
At these words, (y/n) frowned, her thoughts swirling in her mind. She didn't want to believe it, but Alastor's seriousness left no doubt as to the truth of his words. She was silent for a moment, absorbing this new information with some perplexity.
- I see... If that's true, I hope she's okay. I would have done the same in his place. She finally whispered, revealing the solidity of her character and her sense of justice.
Alastor let out a soft laugh, his smile stretching further.
- I don't doubt it for a single second. But seeing you now, I tell myself that you did well to refuse to participate. He began, leaning back, crossing his legs and clasping his hands which he placed on his knee. You have neither the fitness nor the strength to protect anyone. Imagine what could happen if the events of 15 years ago happened again, huh ? That would be a great shame for you.
At these words, immense rage invades (y/n). His muscles tensed, his hands clenched. A low roar escaped her throat as she stood up abruptly, dropping her cup which shattered into a thousand pieces on the floor. His eyes glowed menacingly. Its antlers grew longer and sharper like sharp blades, taking over almost the entire room, while its teeth transformed into sharp fangs.
With a powerful step, she crossed the table that separated them, advancing towards Alastor, until her claws were planted in the back of the sofa, right next to his head, overlooking him at all height, but without touch. A dark glow shone in her pupils as she stared at him, the electric tension palpable between them.
- Do you want me to kill you right away or slowly, taking my time ? Declared in a voice that growled like an animal.
Alastor let out a mocking laugh seeing (y/n)'s reaction.
- You shouldn't get upset like that, you know. It just drains your badly needed energy, right ? You didn't even sense our presence when we entered your dimension. Your shadow was so weak that I almost burst out laughing and ridiculed you in front of the others as I freed myself from your grip. Your face is the very definition of tired, my sweet. Do you have enough evidence to understand that I know exactly what this is about or should I continue ?
At these words, (y/n) was speechless, taken aback by Alastor's revelations. Her grip on the backrest loosened slightly as Alastor's smile continued to stretch, moving closer to her to gently place his fingertips under her chin, his touch as light as a feather.
- Calm down. He whispered softly. Don't embarrass yourself over such a small matter. I will try to pretend not to have noticed anything if you wish.
Under Alastor's light touch, (y/n) felt a shiver run through her skin. She tensed slightly, her mind whirling as she tried to rationalize the situation. The revelation of her weakness, exposed so cruelly by Alastor, made her uncomfortable. She didn't like feeling vulnerable, especially in front of someone like him.
Yet, despite the agitation bubbling within her, she struggled to regain her calm. She couldn't afford to show any more flaws. She then stepped back, withdrawing from Alastor's touch, her demonic form shrinking slightly. A look full of hatred and frustration fell on him as she asked him in a scathing voice :
- Why, every time you see me, do you take pleasure in wanting to play with my nerves ?
- Because you are my favorite entertainment. He replied nonchalantly.
His response made her boil with rage. But before she could retaliate, Alastor stood up, taking his cane, then, with a surprising gesture, he delicately took (y/n)'s hand and pulled her towards him. His gaze held an enigmatic, almost teasing glow as he leaned down to place a light kiss on the knuckles of her fingers. The sudden proximity of his breath against her skin made (y/n) shiver, instinctively stepping back.
She stood there, petrified by this unexpected gesture, her mind in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. The heat of his lips still seemed to burn on his skin, contrasting with the coldness of the surrounding air. For a brief moment, she found herself in complete confusion, unable to sort out her feelings.
Then, slowly, she realized that Alastor's kiss was nothing more than a game for him, a way to sow doubt and confusion in her already tormented mind. She felt manipulated but also strangely intrigued by this duality that seemed to characterize their relationship.
As Alastor stood up after delicately kissing the knuckles of (y/n), he observed her reactions with amusement, savoring every nuance of frustration and dismay he could arouse in her. An internal laugh resonated within him as he turned to leave. However, just before crossing the threshold of the room, he turned slightly towards her, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
- Oh, by the way, you didn't ask me how I got here. He declared in a teasing voice.
(y/n) looked at him, perplexed, wondering how he could have arrived in her dimension without her allowing him. Alastor just gave him a sibylline smile before whispering, with a hint of malice :
- Maybe you should reconsider your complete trust in Taku.
Then, without waiting for a response, he turned on his heel, declaring happily :
- Looking forward to seeing you again, dearest, at our next meeting !
As the door closed behind Alastor, (y/n) stood there, alone in the room, letting her thoughts calm down little by little. The strange encounter with the radio demon had shaken her, but she refused to let her emotions overwhelm her. Hissing in pain, she holds the arm where the unpleasant sensation was felt, reminding her that she had abused it. She returned to her normal form, trying to provide relief, but failing.
Alastor's words still echoed in his mind, fueling a fire of unanswered questions. She knew she had to stay on guard, but she couldn't help but feel a certain curiosity towards this demon who suggested that he had guessed her condition. Yet she also knew that letting herself be carried away by his provocations would lead nowhere good.
With determination, (y/n) chased away these disturbing thoughts and focused on the tasks ahead of her. She had a territory and sinners to protect. For now, she had to put aside everything that distracted her from it, including her pain.
Being his form of redemption.

Bonuses :
As Charlie and Taku waited behind the door, Charlie tried to break the silence by striking up a conversation with Taku.
- Sooooo, tell me... Taku, how do you spend your time when you're waiting in situations like this ?
She gets no response, nor a look.
- You know, this situation reminds me of an old proverb : "Waiting behind a door is like watching a kettle : it takes forever and above all it makes a lot of noise !". This fits, right ? She asked, laughing awkwardly, before continuing at Taku's silence. Oh, I have an idea ! We could play "Guess what's on the other side of the door." You want to try ?
But she was interrupted by a gesture from Taku who gestured for her to be quiet, his attention entirely captivated by the conversation going on on the other side of the door. Charlie felt a little frustrated by Taku's lack of response, but she decided to persevere.
- What do you think of Lady (y/n) ? You seem close. I mean, really, close.
But Taku remained silent, his eyes fixed on the door, trying to catch every word of the conversation, but failing to do so.
- Okay… I understand, you want to remain silent, um… She said embarrassed.
She ended up plopping down in a chair next to Taku, rocking back and forth slightly, impatiently waiting for the conversation to end on the other side of the door, unable to do otherwise.

Summary : In this chapter, Charlie presents his redemption hotel project to (y/n), an powerful overlord. Alastor, with his own motives, tries to persuade (y/n) to become involved in their confrontation against Adam.
______________________________________________
Taku knocked a second time, but the silence remained implacable.
Tangible anxiety flashed across his face as he prepared to strike a third time, softly saying :
- My Lady, may I come in ?
Getting no response, he made a face that the two people behind him did not see. Charlie frowned at Alastor, wondering what was going on. The radio demon tilted his head to the side, his eyes narrowing, wondering why (y/n) was slow to respond, when usually, she was so responsive. He could sense her presence, so it wasn't due to a mistake in location.
The demon, under the overlord's orders, did not hesitate to not ask permission, instead deciding to carefully push open the door. He entered, Charlie and Alastor on his heels, where the blonde was amazed by the clean layout of the place.
The room was bathed in soft, calming light that filtered through the thin curtains, letting in the golden rays of the artificial sun. The walls were painted in light tones, accentuating the brightness of the room and creating a warm atmosphere. Delicately framed paintings adorned the walls, bringing an artistic touch to the whole.
At the back of the room, a solid wooden desk was placed, on which were placed a kettle, a selection of fine teas in pretty metal boxes, delicately decorated porcelain cups, as well as small biscuits arranged on a plate.
Two plush sofas were placed opposite each other in the center, separated by a glass coffee table on which were a few magazines and a vase filled with fresh flowers. The elegantly patterned cushions added a touch of color and comfort to the seating.
Shelves full of books stretched along one of the walls, offering a varied selection of reading material for all tastes. Potted plants were scattered here and there, bringing greenery and freshness to the room.
In this welcoming and peaceful environment, (y/n) stood near a window, her back, silently contemplating the landscape through the glass, absorbed in her thoughts.
Approaching with growing concern, Taku called out to him again. Hearing this time, (y/n) gracefully pivoted towards them, revealing her strangely angelic appearance, which always disconcerted those who saw her for the first time.
Her hair, as white as fresh snow, flowed in silky cascades around her face, framing delicate, celestial features. His gaze, both gentle and penetrating, could have probed the deepest souls. Slight wrinkles framed her eyes, testifying to the countless trials she had endured. Fine deer antlers stood on the top of his head, rather large, extending back, adorned with light beads that had been made for her decades ago.
She was wrapped in a long taupe gray t-shirt, loose and flowing, the long sleeves of which fell almost delicately over her slender hands. The hem of the garment caressed the bottom of her buttocks while she had taken care to slip the front into her straight black fabric pants, thus defining her silhouette. A navy blue belt, carefully adjusted, captured the whole in subtle harmony. On her feet, sandals matching the color of the belt, with black wedge heels, seemed to extend the slender line of her legs.
Despite the apparent casualness of her outfit, she emanated an aura of dignity and serenity, giving her presence a natural nobility and captivating maturity.
Yet, despite the brilliance of her beauty and the imposing aura that surrounded her, an enigmatic fragility seemed to emanate from her, as if the burden of the entire world rested on her proud shoulders. Silent tears beading from her white eyelashes, sliding slowly down her cheeks, leaving in their wake sparkling traces on the porcelain of her skin.
Faced with this heartbreaking vision, Charlie's heart ached with empathy. She could almost feel the pain and suffering emanating from (y/n), even though she didn't know her.
Ignoring Charlie and Alastor, (y/n) walked towards Taku who was walking towards her. Their gestures betrayed a deep and ancient familiarity. She held out a trembling hand, which Taku took tenderly, placing his other hand on her hip for support.
Tears continued to fall down (y/n)’s cheeks as she begged for comfort.
- Taku... I am gripped by doubt and torment... Did I make the right decision ? Was I right to act this way ? She whispered in a broken voice. My heart breaks thinking that another member of my family will suffer loneliness and fear because of the consequences of my actions.
Taku looked at her affectionately, his hand gently stroking hers to comfort her.
- You acted according to your duty. He replied in a soothing voice. Lynn broke established laws. It has threatened the balance that you have so ardently preserved. You had no choice but to punish him.
An encouraging smile appeared on Taku's lips, trying to ease his mistress' pain.
- Your wisdom and prudence have protected our family and our territory. Don't let the burden of your decisions torment you. We are all at your side, aware of the rules, ready to support your choices, however difficult they may be.
(y/n) closed her eyes, feeling the tears continue to fall down her cheeks despite her efforts to hold them back.
- I know, Taku... I realize that none of you hated me for that, that I did what had to be done, but... But that doesn't lessen the pain. She whispered, letting out a sigh of sorrow.
Taku, still close to her, dried her tears delicately, his fingers tenderly caressing her skin. He moved even closer, trying to offer her whatever comfort he could in this moment of torment and vulnerability, no longer caring at all about the guests.
Observing this touching scene, Charlie was overcome by an emotion mixed with surprise and fascination. She didn't expect such intimacy between Taku and (y/n), but she couldn't help but find it magnificent, given the evidence of the deep attachment between them.
While as far as Alastor was concerned, he felt a surge of rage wash over him, his fingers tightening around the top of his cane with increasing intensity. His sinister smile widened, tinged with a dark glow as he observed this lesser demon, acting as if he was entitled to such closeness.
A shadow passed through his eyes, mixing jealousy and desire for possession.
- Remember this, my Lady. Your wisdom has always brought us serenity and protection. Your decisions were dictated by necessity and prudence. He continued in a soothing voice, trying to ease her pain.
(y/n) listened carefully to her advisor's comforting words, her expression relaxing slightly under his influence. However, when she heard the crackles of the radio growing louder in the room, her eyes suddenly widened, recognizing the sound with a disturbing certainty.
- Alastor, I advise you to control your emotions. Taku intervened, diverting his attention to the demon. I did not grant you an audience here, with my Lady, for you to cause trouble.
Alastor bit back a growl, his stag horns growing slightly in response to his growing frustration.
- I'm not the one who starts the trouble, my dear Taku. He replied, his gaze burning with a dark glow. But no matter, I wouldn't want to spoil your little intimate moment with your precious overlord. He added acerbically, his pupils narrowing, leaving more room for the black of his eyes.
Before Taku could respond, a bitter cold suddenly filled the room, dropping the temperature several degrees and obscuring the surrounding light. (y/n)'s silver eyes glowed menacingly as she stared at Alastor with an icy intensity, filled with hatred and menace.
Detaching itself slightly from Taku, (y/n)'s aura transformed into a terrifying presence, imbuing the room with a heavy and sinister atmosphere. His antlers grew larger as did his shadow which expanded, morphing into a tight grip around Alastor's body, immobilizing him. All this happened in barely the blink of an eye. Alastor's mischievous smile froze, becoming more awkward as he tried to keep his composure.
Charlie, panicked, let out a little cry of fear when she saw Alastor in danger. (y/n) walked towards him with determined steps, her piercing gaze staring at him intensely. Once in front of him, the same size, she addressed him in a cold voice :
-What are you here for, radio demon ?
Aware of the palpable threat in the air, Alastor responded with feigned confidence :
- Just to chat, my dear overlord. I come as a friend, as always.
- As friends ? She replied, an icy glint in her eyes. You have no friends here. You only have enemies waiting for the right moment to destroy you.
A shiver ran down Alastor's spine, but he kept his composure, his sinister smile stretching slightly across his face.
- Oh, but my dear, it's a shame. I'm sure we could get along if you gave me a chance.
(y/n) stared at him with contempt.
- You don't belong here, Alastor. And if you even think for a moment about sowing chaos in my territory, know that I will make you regret every second of your existence.
When Alastor should have fought back or tried to defend himself, a subtle observation revealed to him an unsuspected truth, escaped everyone's attention. The shadow's hold on him, although similar to that of his memories, was not as stifling or threatening as he had thought. He felt within himself the possibility of freeing himself from it, if he really wanted to. Staring intently at the face of the woman he had come to meet, he noticed that the tears had stopped flowing, giving way to an expression valiantly fighting against fatigue.
Smiling even more, he decided to lighten the atmosphere with his usual sarcastic humor.
- Let's see, my dear, you take me for a more belligerent demon than I really am. He said, giving a mocking smile. I'm here on a much more interesting matter than causing chaos. Actually, I'm here to introduce you to someone !
(y/n) arched an eyebrow, her expression hardening even further.
-And who is this person you are talking about ? She asked in a biting voice.
Alastor let out a small laugh, turning to Charlie with a theatrical nod.
- Allow me to introduce you to Princess Charlie Morningstar, heir to the throne of Hell and the founder of the Hazbin Hotel !
Charlie, feeling a little uncomfortable under (y/n)'s unforgiving gaze, gave her a shy smile and bowed slightly.
- Hey… Nice to meet you, Lady (y/n). She said in a calm but respectful voice.
( y/n ) looked away from Alastor to stare at Charlie, his expression softening slightly. She observed the young princess with a mixture of curiosity and evaluation, taking the time to look her over from head to toe, making her slightly uncomfortable, feeling as if the one who was taller than her she probed the depths of his soul.
- Charlie Morningstar… She whispered, repeating the name as if to engrave it in her memory.
As (y/n) scrutinized Charlie with growing interest, a resolve seemed to arise within her. With a graceful gesture of her hand, she dispelled the shadow that still enveloped Alastor, thus freeing the demon from his yoke. The temperature of the room and its brightness returned to their natural balance, while (y/n)'s deer antlers returned to their initial size.
(y/n), now more relaxed, conformed to the rules of etiquette, respecting them. A gracious smile graced her lips as she gave Charlie a salutation of gracious solemnity, bowing her head slightly in respect.
- The pleasure is shared, Princess Charlie. She replied in a soft but confident voice, getting up. It is an honor to welcome you to my modest home. Please forgive me for the vulnerable and aggressive version of myself that you may have encountered. Under no circumstances should she be present in the presence of royalty such as yours.
Charlie was pleasantly surprised by the sudden change in (y/n)'s attitude, feeling more comfortable in her presence. She bowed respectfully in gratitude, acknowledging the courtesy of the Overlord of Hell, not being used to being shown so much respect.
(y/n) then turned towards the couches, inviting Charlie to sit down.
- Please sit down, Princess Charlie, you must be tired from all this walking. She declared in a friendly voice, gesturing elegantly to the sofa.
Charlie nodded politely and sat down, his gaze following Alastor who stood behind the back of the sofa, his teasing smile still hanging on his lips. Meanwhile, (y/n) sent a command to Taku.
- Taku, please prepare some tea for our guest. She ordered in a calm but authoritative voice, as she sat down her turn, opposite Charlie who was standing straight, playing with his fingers.
Taku nodded silently, bowing slightly before walking over to where the teapot and cups were set out. He prepared the tea with silent skill, discreetly observing his enemy out of the corner of his eye.
As for Alastor, he remained unfazed by the presence of the one he would like to see dead, his expression still teasing, his gaze sparkling with undisguised malice as he observed the scene with palpable amusement.
Once the tea was ready, Taku approached Charlie and handed him a cup with a respectful gesture.
- Your tea, Princess Charlie. He announced in a neutral voice, placing it in front of her on the table, before serving (y/n), who thanked him with a warm but moderate smile.
Charlie thanked him with a grateful smile and took the cup carefully, feeling the comforting warmth of the liquid against his fingers. She took a small sip, savoring the soothing taste of the tea. (y/n) observed him with a slight smile, then suddenly declared, breaking the silence that had fallen :
- If I may say so, you look exactly like your father, Lucifer.
Charlie, astonished, looked at her in surprise.
- Do you know my father ? She asked with a hint of disbelief, unsure of what to think.
(y/n) nodded slightly.
- We met on a few rare occasions. She replied in a calm voice, full of reflection. But I must admit that I don't particularly hold it in my heart. Although I understand that he is overwhelmed by the illness of depression, especially since the departure of Lilith, your mother, I firmly believe that a king, even if he did not choose this destiny, must above all think to his subjects and be ready to sacrifice himself for them. Unfortunately, your father doesn't always seem to understand this, letting innocent people perish every year and condemning all sinners indiscriminately.
A nervous laugh escaped Charlie's lips at this unexpected revelation, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, trying to hide his growing confusion. Another heavy silence settled in the room, (y/n) doing everything to ignore the presence of Alastor, who reveled in his reaction.
After taking a sip, the hostess asked in a friendly but curious voice :
-And if not, can you inform me of your coming here, princess ? I must admit that I never imagined such a thing happening.
Charlie felt a surge of intense excitement course through her body as she jumped to her feet, the surge in her voice ready to burst into song to introduce her hotel of redemption. Her eyes glowed with palpable determination as she prepared to share her vision with those in the room.
- Oh uh yes ! Let me introduce you to my hotel that rehabilitates fishermen ! She began in a vibrant, almost musical voice. A place where the most lost souls can find redemption and inner peace.
His momentum was abruptly interrupted by the authoritarian voice of (y/n), which ended his tirade :
- There is no room for songs here, princess. Please forgive me for interrupting you, but I believe that there is a time for everything, including songs. If this is serious, you can present things differently.
Charlie, disappointed by the abrupt interruption of her creative momentum, sat up slowly, stammering an excuse. Alastor raised an eyebrow and said in a voice tinged with sarcasm :
- Are you sure about that, (y/n) ?
Ignoring Alastor's remarks and the hostile glances exchanged between him and Taku, (y/n) focused on Charlie, noticing his growing state of stress. Telling herself that his condition was because of her, with natural grace, she offered him a soothing smile and said softly :
- There's no reason to stress, princess, I didn't want to upset you. However, I can't stand the music anymore.
Hearing this, Alastor's smile became colder and more sarcastic. Charlie, looking at the woman in front of her, sighed, her shoulders slumping. She still had a hard time realizing that she was here, sharing tea with the person she considered an example to follow. As a result, she could not hold back from sharing her adoration for the overlord.
- You know, I've always heard about you. Rumors say that you are almost as powerful as my father, but that you have chosen a different path. A path of compassion and helping others. You have made pacts with sinners, protecting them and guiding them through the troubled waters of life. It's incredible. Everyone talks about you, but we never see you. You might almost think you're a legend. And yet here I am, facing you, realizing that you are very real. I admire you so much. It's like meeting my idol. Your strength, your generosity... It's inspiring. I mean, who else could boast of having (y/n) as an ally ? That's... That would just be amazing.
As Charlie's excitement began to skyrocket again, (y/n) gave him a kind look and said gently, touched by his words :
- Calm down, princess. Thank you for your admiration. Breathe, I am fully listening to you.
Charlie, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, outlined his plan with frankness tinged with nervousness. She honestly admitted that it was her fault that the purge had been brought forward six months, explaining that in a month Adam and the exterminators would come to see them first. Unable to hide her anxiety, she admitted that she did not know what to do in the face of this critical situation.
-And so… Alastor brought me here to get your help, apparently. She added, casting an uncertain look at Alastor.
( y/n ), staring skeptically at Alastor for the first since this exchange, raised an eyebrow, expressing doubt about the demon's intentions. In a calm but direct voice, she asked him :
- Do you really think you'll help Charlie with his hotel ? Do you believe in this idea of redemption ?
Alastor replied with a hint of amusement in his voice :
- Ah, my dear (y/n), believe in redemption ? It’s like believing in Santa Claus ! However, I see Charlie's little project as an entertainment opportunity. And maybe, who knows, a few souls to collect for eternity. But don't get me wrong, I'm here to save his project, it shouldn't be broken too quickly. I was even the one who chose the name of the brand, the “Hazbin Hotel”!
Faced with Alastor's response, Charlie felt disappointed and blasé, her face betraying her displeasure. She had hoped to find a sincere ally in him, but his words had reminded her of the dark and detached nature of the one who accompanied her today.
(y/n), turning to Taku with a serious look, asked him if the information provided by Alastor was true. Taku nodded soberly, confirming that according to his informants, the stated facts were accurate. (y/n) bowed his head slightly in recognition towards Taku before turning back to Charlie.
- I see… And what do you want from me, princess ?
Alastor spoke up to propose a solution to the situation.
- You know, (y/n), with your power and your army of fishermen, you could put an end to all this. You could even come to the aid of other potential members of what you insist on calling your “family”. He said in a convinced tone, looking at his nails, keeping a straight posture, not wanting to slump against the backrest even if he wanted to, wanting to keep a good face in front of her.
In a gesture of controlled serenity, (y/n) gently raised her hand to interrupt him, before falling gracefully on his knee. Closing her eyes briefly, she gathered her thoughts before responding in a calm but resolute voice :
- I understand your point of view, but I refuse to put the members of my family in danger for a matter that does not directly concern them. Here we are safe.
(y/n)'s reply, although delivered with apparent confidence, does not quite succeed in convincing Alastor, accustomed to detecting chinks in the armor of his interlocutors. He had subtly noticed the change in expression on the overlord's face. A smirk tugged at his thin lips, his eyes sparkling with biting amusement as he prepared to further explore the cracks in (y/n)'s confidence.
- You sure about that ? He asked, his voice softly tinged with a veiled threat. Think about it my dear. Things change, alliances break, and even your fishermen could find themselves caught in the tumult of this impending war.
He remained silent for a moment, letting his words permeate the atmosphere, then he continued in a calm but incisive tone :
- Imagine for a moment that Adam's forces are getting closer. Do you really think they will stop indefinitely at the gates of your pocket dimension ? That your precious fishermen will be spared from their fury ? No, my dear (y/n), your security is only an illusion in this constantly moving world. And if you refuse to act now, you may bitterly regret it when the flames of war lick the walls of your refuge.
He paused, letting his words resonate in (y/n)'s mind, before concluding with a sardonic smile :
- Of course, I do not underestimate your ability to protect your domain. But it's always good to consider all possibilities, even the darkest ones. After all, prudence is the mother of safety, right ?
Alastor knew how to tug on the heartstrings of high-ranking demons like (y/n). He used his charisma and sharp rhetoric to sow doubt in the overlord's mind, giving her a different perspective on the situation and pushing her to consider more aggressive actions to protect her rule and honor.
Before Charlie could intervene with his own arguments, Taku, faithful servant, spoke in a respectful but determined tone.
- My Lady. He began in a voice full of devotion. I understand the arguments made by this nuisance, but I implore you, do not let fear and uncertainty dictate your actions. You are the force that unites us, the light that guides our steps in the darkness. Your prudence is our shield against the chaos that always threatens to engulf us. Yes, times are uncertain and threats are many, but it is precisely in these times that your leadership is most crucial. Acting in haste, under the influence of fear, would only hasten our downfall. Let us remain faithful to our strategy, to our vision of the future. With your wisdom and wise judgment, we will overcome whatever challenges come our way. Because if you choose to engage in this confrontation, you risk losing more than you could gain. Your place is here, alongside yours, to protect our home and guide our destiny. Don't let the words of a manipulative demon sow doubt in your mind. We trust you, my Lady. And as long as you stay strong, so will we.
His hand, resting confidently on (y/n)'s shoulder, testified to his unwavering support, while he awaited his suzerain's decision with respectful patience, trusting in her wisdom and in her ability to make the best decisions for them.
(y/n) turned her gaze towards Taku, letting her face rest on her hand which was placed next to her on the backrest, fighting against the wave of sadness which invaded her at the thought of Lynn, that she had punished for a recent transgression. Alastor, carefully scanning the scene, felt a pang of annoyance as he noticed the proximity between them, a proximity that bothered him more than he cared to admit.
However, her attention was diverted by something that seemed to escape the others, when she raised her arm slightly, to take Taku's hand which was on her shoulder. Another curious and interesting detail, which added to the confirmation of his suspicions. (y/n) raised his face towards Charlie, letting go of his advisor's hand, placing his arm back at his side. In a gentle voice, she expressed her regrets.
- I'm sorry, princess, but I can't help you in this matter. She declared with compassion. I can't afford to put any member of my family in danger, let alone drag them into this.
However, she offered Charlie a glimmer of hope by adding :
- However, if your hotel survives, I will be happy to support you by visiting your establishment. I could then assess whether it truly constitutes a safe haven for those who seek redemption under your protection.
This compromise seemed to assuage Charlie's disappointment, giving him an encouraging outlook for the future of his project. She couldn't hold back her joy and literally jumped with contentment, her eyes shining with excitement.
- You are serious ? Really ? She exclaimed, both surprised and delighted by the powerful overlord's proposal.
(y/n) nodded gently, a kind smile stretching her lips.
- Yes I am. If your hotel manages to offer a path to redemption, then some members of my family may feel drawn to that possibility. And as a worthy leader, it is my duty to help them as best I can. She declared with dignity, thus expressing her noble vision of responsibilities.
Charlie's eyes lit up even more, splashed with a mixture of admiration and gratitude.
- It's incredible ! Thank you so much, (y/n) ! You won't regret it, I promise ! She exclaimed, letting her gratitude and determination to make her project a success shine through.
Sensing Charlie's imminent departure, (y/n) smiled slightly, appreciating his enthusiasm and determination.
- I wish you good luck, princess. Do your best to save your hotel. She told him sincerely, recognizing the passion that animated the young woman.
Charlie, moved by these words, bowed respectfully to (y/n) like a fan to an idol.
- Thank you, thank you very much ! I will not disappoint you ! I will do everything to find a solution to save him, you will see ! She promised passionately before heading towards the exit, carrying with her a mixture of excitement and newfound enthusiasm, not caring if Alastor followed her or not.
Alastor remained still, staring at (y/n) with a mixture of interest and challenge in his glowing gaze. Taku, seeing that the conversation was coming to an end, turned to Alastor with a cold and bitter expression, suggesting in a scathing tone :
- It's time for you to go, demon. Your presence is no longer required.
But Alastor didn't seem to react to Taku's words, keeping his attention entirely focused on (y/n). He let out a little sarcastic laugh, before announcing in a quiet voice but full of innuendo :
- In fact, I intend to talk a little more with (y/n).
She turned her attention to him, with a neutral air, while he announced :
-And one-on-one this time.

Alastor x Reader : Fragile Link ( Part 1 )
Tumblr media
______________________________________________
Hello/good night ! This is my first post in the Hazbin Hotel universe, please bear with me. I'm French so if I make a mistake, tell me in a socially acceptable way. ^^
Summary : Alastor and Charlie travel to a mysterious location in Hell to get help against threats to the Hazbin Hotel. They are guided by Alastor and meet Taku, a demon who owes him one. Despite encounters with hostile sinners, they manage to approach “y/n”, an important figure whose help is crucial.
______________________________________________
The cobblestone streets of Hell were lit by a perpetual reddish glow.
Wisps of acrid smoke rose from the cracks in the ground in this corner of the Infernal Pentagram, further obscuring the tumultuous sky, bathed in a vivid red hue, creating a painting of macabre beauty. Among the ruined buildings, their decrepit walls decorated with graffiti, stretched a heavy silence, broken only by the distant echoes of sinners.
In the distance, mountains of debris and carcasses could be seen, where some damned souls were condemned to an eternity of futile toil. Others went about their business, their gazes full of lust, malice and despair.
In this inhospitable setting, two figures made their way, one following the other, their footsteps echoing. They were on their way to a mysterious place, a place where one of them hoped to find help in confronting the threats facing the Hazbin Hotel.
One of the two people was none other than Charlie, who was getting carried away by his own inner torment. The revelation of Vaggie's dissimulation, her love, as to her nature as an exterminating angel, had plunged her into an abyss of betrayal and perplexity. She wondered about the reasons that had pushed Vaggie to silence such a crucial truth, finding it paradoxical that the one she had elected to share her noblest ideals could indulge in such omissions. Tortuous thoughts, like poisonous snakes, coiled around his tormented mind, undermining the very foundations of his certainties.
Amidst this turmoil, a glimmer of panic arose from time to time, fueled by the imminent threat posed by Adam and his legions of exterminating angels.
As for the one who orchestrated this macabre dance, it was Alastor, the guide leading the princess to a place known only to him. Indifferent to Charlie's words, he focused exclusively on their destination, and on the powerful overlord he had not seen in seven long years. He knew that their reunion was going to be complex, marked by the shadows of the past, but he hoped to convince the suzerain to lend Charlie a hand in his fight against the angelic forces.
While he had initially planned to visit his friend Rosie in Cannibal Town, he had deliberately postponed this meeting, preferring to try his luck with the other liege. Because he knew that if their enterprise succeeded, it would constitute a more effective bulwark against Adam and his army.
And he secretly wanted to see her again for his personal pleasure.
As they moved deeper and deeper into one of the abandoned and forgotten corners of the Pentagram, where no sinner dared to dwell, Alastor abruptly interrupted the conversation, announcing that they had arrived. However, in front of them, there was only an oppressive void, devoid of the slightest sign of life or habitation.
- What does that mean ? Charlie wondered, a look of confusion and worry in his eyes.
An enigmatic smile appeared on Alastor's lips, a sparkle of excitement shining in his eyes.
- Patience, my dear Charlie. You will soon understand why we are here. He replied in a calm voice.
With one fluid gesture, he conjured a letter into his hand, which he then burned before letting the ashes fall to the ground. Charlie's eyes followed with fascination the strange spectacle unfolding before his eyes. The ashes of the letter, consumed by Alastor's fire, transformed into dancing shadows, swirling before taking the form of a massive door on the ground. A strange feeling of dizziness came over her as she stared at this mysterious door, the palpable magic emanating from it tickling her senses.
Feeling the pressure of Alastor's shoulder, she stepped back slightly, her eyes still fixed on the fascinating scene unfolding before them. The shadow gate suddenly burst out of the ground, solidifying into a towering structure. Charlie's heart raced in her chest as she realized where they were.
This door evoked the legends she had heard whispered, the one leading to an unknown territory, a place different from the Hell she knew, under the sovereignty of one of the most eminent figures of the underworld. She was stunned to find herself facing this legendary door, wondering what trials and revelations awaited them on the other side.
Before she could voice her thoughts, the door burst open, revealing a demon that emerged from the darkness.
The demon was imposing and slender, with slightly gray skin. Her hair is a deep brown, framing her angular face characterized by sharp, defined features. His dark, almost black eyes shine with a piercing light behind round, black-rimmed glasses. He wore a dark suit highlighting his elegant and professional figure.
Seeing who had summoned the opening, the demon frowned and said in a hostile voice :
-Alastor.
-Taku.
Despite Taku's cold reception, Alastor remained imperturbable, not letting the animosity of his interlocutor destabilize him.
- Tell me, my friend, how have you been since our last meeting ? He questioned, a hint of feigned camaraderie peeking through his words.
Facing him, Taku remained imperturbable, his arms crossed on his chest, his face unchanging despite the mischievous sparkle that sparkled in Alastor's eyes.
- It is none of your business. He replied in an icy voice. I thought you were dead. It would surely be better for everyone if that were the case. Or at least you could have stayed hidden in your hole, alone, if death doesn't suit you.
A cynical laugh escaped Alastor's lips, accentuating the tense atmosphere between them.
-Ah ! But that wasn't the case ! He replied in a mocking tone. My absence was just a little break, a parenthesis to savor life and let sinners worry, wondering when I was going to return with my emission.
He approached Taku, his teasing smile widening.
- But indeed, it would surely have been better for you if I had died. He continued in an almost whispered voice, leaving the shadow of a sinister secret lingering. I have no doubt that you would have greatly appreciated it. After all, that would have meant that I would have taken your sword of Damocles with me to the grave, right ?
A shiver of antagonism ran through the space between them as they eyed each other, their feelings of distrust and disdain barely concealed.
Under the influence of the anger which began to rise, Taku's teeth lengthened, accentuating his expression of displeasure. His fists clenched with increasing force as he stared at Alastor with a penetrating, almost murderous gaze.
-What do you want, Alastor ? He spat through clenched teeth.
- We came to see ( y/n ). He said with an indescribable look. This is a matter of the utmost importance.
Taku sighed in annoyance, shaking his head in disapproval.
- I don't want to hear anything about it. He replied dryly. My Lady has no time to waste on unimportant requests like yours. And especially not with someone like you.
Charlie, feeling anxiety rising within her, was about to intervene, to plead their case to Taku. However, Alastor beat her to it with a calm wave of his hand, telling her to stay back for the moment. With a sly smile he said :
- I think you owe me a favor, Taku. And that's why I was able to summon this door.. He announced quietly.
Taku glared at Alastor, his expression hardening even further.
- A favor ? He repeated suspiciously, his tone oscillating between distrust and curiosity.
- Yes. Alastor replied in a detached tone, but with a glint of determination in his eyes. And that's why we're here, thanks to the letter you gave me in exchange for our deal. To get back what you owe me. He announced, a green glow surrounding them.
Charlie watched the scene helplessly, overwhelmed by the events, but slowly realizing the magnitude of the situation. She could feel the tension between Alastor and Taku rising, their gazes challenging each other in a silent game of wills.
- You're playing a dangerous game, Alastor. You might get burned. He growled.
But Alastor didn't flinch, his teasing smile remaining unchanged.
- Oh, let me doubt it, we both know that you are weaker than me. We need to see ( y/n ). He repeated calmly. And I'm sure you can understand the importance of this meeting. Besides, I will hold my tongue regarding the content of our deal and I will no longer be able to force you to let us in, seeing as I burned the letter to do so. Does this suit you ?
Taku hesitated for a moment, seeming to weigh his options. Finally, with a sigh of resignation, he agreed with a slight nod.
- Alright. He whispered. But I don't owe you anything anymore. And know, miss, he said, addressing Charlie, finally considering her since the beginning of the exchange, you are nothing to us. Your rank is nothing where we are going. We are devoted to our Lady and compared to her, you are futile. And all the more so for a crazy person like you, Alastor. He finished, his teeth returning to normal.
Charlie doesn't respond, stunned. With a wave of his hand, Taku opened the door, revealing the darkness that lay on the other side. Alastor gave a mocking smile, ignoring Taku's jab.
- We expected no less from such hospitality in these infernal lands. He replied lightly, before leading Charlie after him towards the open door.
Once on the other side, the transition was instantaneous, almost magical. The oppressive red-tinged sky of Pentagram City dissipated, giving way to a clear blue celestial expanse, enveloping the landscape in a soft, soothing light. A breath of fresh air came to caress their faces, sweeping away the heaviness of Hell.
Charlie contemplated this astonishing change with a mixture of astonishment and perplexity. She felt transported to another world, a realm where torment and suffering seemed to evaporate. A light laugh escaped Alastor's lips, savoring the stark contrast between the two realities.
- Welcome to this less gloomy corner of Hell, my dear. He whispered to Charlie, his eyes shining with a mischievous glint.
Following Taku who walked in the lead, Alastor and Charlie embarked on the winding paths of this enchanting landscape. Charlie couldn't suppress his amazement at the peaceful beauty around him. Green meadows stretched as far as the eye could see, caressed by the soft light of the sun. In the distance, majestic trees swayed gently in the breeze, their foliage dancing in harmony with the birdsong.
Her heart leaped with excitement as she observed the inhabitants of this strange place, for a moment she could almost forget Vaggie's betrayal. Fishermen smiled happily as they brought in their day's catch. No violence, no murder, no blood. It was a stark contrast to the Hell she had always known. Maybe not as sumptuous as Heaven, but to her, it was a glimmer of light in the darkness.
Approaching Alastor, Charlie felt the urgent need to clarify the mysteries that hovered around their presence here, in this strange and enchanting world.
- Alastor, she began in a voice filled with a mixture of fascination and perplexity, how come that you know ( y/n ) ? And what is this place that seems so... Different ?
Alastor gave her a teasing smile, his eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint.
- Ah, my dear Charlie. He replied in a nonchalant tone. It's a long story, full of twists and turns and mysteries.
He winked at her, knowing he had piqued her curiosity. But before Charlie could ask any more questions, he added :
- As for this place, it's a kind of... Refuge, if you like. A place where time seems to stand still, where the torments of Hell ease a little. But don't let appearances fool you, my dear. Even here, there are secrets and dangers that await us.
Charlie looked at him with admiration mixed with concern. She knew that even in this relative haven of peace, trouble could arise at any moment.
-And why are we here ? She insisted, determined to get a clear answer this time.
Alastor gave him a knowing look, his smile widening slightly.
- Oh, my dear, are we not here to save our dear hotel from the clutches of adversity ? He replied in a cheerful tone, skillfully avoiding directly answering her question.
Charlie rolled her eyes, knowing she probably wouldn't get a more specific answer from Alastor. But despite her exasperation, she couldn't help but feel a spark of excitement at the idea of the adventure that awaited them. As they advanced peacefully, five other armed sinners appeared from the shadows, threatening and ready to do battle.
The leader of this group raised his weapon, pointing contemptuously at Alastor.
- What are you doing here you bastard ? He roared in a deep and menacing voice.
Charlie felt panic rising within her, her gaze turning to Alastor for a solution.
- Alastor, what do we do ?
Alastor smirked, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
- Well, this looks like it's getting interesting. He replied with a teasing tone, ready to spring into action.
As the sinners stood before them, their weapons brandished in a threatening gesture, Alastor couldn't help but let out a teasing laugh, his gaze shining with a mischievous glint as he approached one of them. 'them.
- My dear friends, is this how you welcome your guests ? He said in a mocking voice, openly defying their hostility.
The sinners stiffened, their expressions mixing bewilderment and anger at the demon's insolent attitude.
- You have guts to come here, Alastor. One of them spat contemptuously, his tone laced with menace. Do you really think you can come in here at will and wreak havoc ?
A smirk tugged at Alastor's lips, a spark of defiance in his gaze.
- Ah, but that’s precisely what I do best, isn’t it ? He replied with a mischievous wink. Bring a little spice to everyday life, shake things up. Besides, if I wanted to hurt anyone here, it would already be done.
His smile widened as red clock faces replaced his pupils, his face twisting into a demonic expression, his smile no longer able to contain his sharp teeth. Deafening, unpleasant sounds of radio whining surrounded the atmosphere, frightening or disconcerting those around them.
After this moment of theatrical intimidation, Alastor suddenly calmed down, letting out a musical laugh that echoed through the air, as if he had just told a particularly funny joke. His facial expression, once distorted by threat, returned to its usual appearance, although his mischievous look remained.
The sinners, meanwhile, stood stunned, looking at Alastor with a mixture of fear and perplexity. They were used to arrogant and hostile demons, but Alastor's combination of imperturbable confidence and playful mischief completely unsettled them.
- I see that you are having trouble following the dance. Alastor stated in a light tone, as if he was talking to confused children. But don't worry, I'm just passing through. No need to bother you further.
Before they can act, Taku abruptly intervenes, his piercing gaze fixed on the sinners.
- Stop your bickering. Stay calm until I give an order. He ordered in a firm voice, keeping them at a distance from any attempted aggression.
The sinners, disoriented, looked at each other, unable to understand why the right arm of their liege stood thus alongside these intruders, and even closer to Alastor, in particular.
- But Taku, they are foreigners. They are not welcome here ! One of them protested, his weapon still aimed at Alastor. Especially a perfidious being like him, whose sole purpose is to sow pain and destruction! It will only revive the suffering in the heart of our Lady !
The disdain in Taku's gaze was palpable, his icy silence echoing in the halo of tension that enveloped the group.
- I know what I'm doing. Don't intervene. He replied in an authoritative tone, putting an abrupt end to any discussion.
Charlie, silent observer of this scene, felt a mixture of relief and incomprehension at Taku's enigmatic attitude. Her grateful gaze rested on him, knowing that he had played a crucial role in calming the situation. Yet, despite this gratitude, she could not help but wonder about the hidden motivations of the mysterious demon, wondering what this pact constituted.
Alastor, although disappointed by the interruption to what could have been an exciting fight, narrowed his eyes warily, bracing himself for any unforeseen events.
- Where is Lady ( y/n ) ? He asked in a calm but firm voice.
The fishermen exchanged uncertain looks before one of them responded in a hesitant voice :
- She is on the top floor, in her tea room, Mr. Taku. She said no one should come and bother her, except you, of course. She is waiting for you.
Nodding, he resumed walking with a determined step, his gaze fixed straight ahead.
- We should continue so that you can leave as soon as possible. He stated in a calm but commanding voice, prompting Alastor and Charlie to follow him.
The five sinners followed closely behind them, their weapons always ready, keeping a watchful eye on the two strangers. Despite their threatening attitude, Alastor, for his part, still wore his eternal smile, taunting the sinners with undisguised amusement.
Meanwhile, Charlie watched the sinners curiously, noticing how happy they seemed in this environment. However, her thoughts were interrupted when she overheard a conversation between two sinners that made her frown.
- You should smile, you know. One of the sinners whispered to the other, his tone laced with a strange mix of gentleness and menace. We don't want to add to Lady's ( y/n ) suffering.
This remark sent chills down Charlie's spine, and he felt a ball of anxiety forming in his stomach.
Taku moved forward without worrying about the tension that reigned around them.
- We should hurry. He declared in a calm but determined voice, prompting the group to pick up their pace.
After walking through the beautiful garden that led them to a secluded building, Taku opened the door and Charlie and Alastor entered with him, leaving the five sinners outside. They advanced through the corridors, following Taku who seemed to know the way by heart.
They finally found themselves in front of an imposing wooden door, whose solid stature seemed to announce the grandeur of the being who resided behind. Taku, with a measured gesture, knocked gently on the wood, thus announcing his presence.
For Charlie, this moment was filled with palpable tension. Her mind repeated the words of her prepared speech, while she mentally prepared herself to face the conundrum that awaited them on the other side. She tried to draw on her determination, ready to defend her beliefs in the face of this mysterious figure.
For his part, Alastor quickly adjusted his outfit and stood up straight, confident, his teasing gaze barely hiding the growing anticipation building within him. He nevertheless approached Charlie, to whisper in his ear with a mixture of seriousness and mischief :
- Be careful of your attitude and your words once inside, my dear. The person we are going to meet is not easily impressed and does not take himself for just anyone.
Charlie nodded silently, appreciating Alastor's caution and advice. Although she felt nervous, she found some comfort in his presence, knowing that he was there to support her in this crucial meeting.
Crossing her fingers that she succeeds.
