So what’s the deal with endstone?

Endstone is the block that makes up the terrain of the end. Its texture is an inversion and recoloration of cobblestone, suggesting that its form is that of the opposite of cobblestone. Cobblestone is lumpy, so that makes endstone pitted. Now, I’m not a geologist, but I’ve been put through enough elementary school rock cycle units to know that is one weird formation.

Let’s theorize.

My first thought was “maybe it’s like honeycomb-weathered sandstone? I mean, look at it, right?”

“That looks exactly like endstone! Very alien, too. Perfect for the End.”

I couldn't watch Eret's stream yesterday because I was really really tired, so I'm watching it today!

Here's my liveblogging style stream recap for Eret, my beloved:

There was a muted bit at the beginning but I'm gonna guess that Eret explained they're gonna give Eryn a tour? Anyway, they found him sitting on the throne which was just great

Eryn was the one who asked Eret for the tour, huh? Because he heard about the museum, that makes sense. And he's paying for it with the Warden Access key, love that from him

"I'm going to assume that this was gotten through unscrupulous means but as a museum curator I don't care" Eret lmao

"This is my prison" shows the castle. I know it probably was just a mistake caused by Eret thinking about the actual prison a moment prior, but I wouldn't be surprised if c!Eret really did see the symbol of his kingship as a prison, especially after c!Dream made it clear that he's nothing more than a puppet and a figurehead even while in that position

Eryn the tax collector, he's getting into Eret's good graces

Also, Eret knows that Tubbo and Ranboo got married to evade taxes, lol

They visited the Community House first, then Church Prime, then Tubbo's original house

Considering the fact that Eryn brought up his death to Sam Nook again I wonder if it was canon? I assumed not, but everything is possible really

"This is Tubbo's original house, it got burned down at the beginning of the first L'Manburg war" "Really? Why?" "Well, because he was on L'Manburg's side and Dream and Sapnap, well, they didn't like that" "Wait which- which side were you on?" "Uuuuuuh I- I was on the L'Manburg side" I found this exchange really interesting so I wanted to save it

After Tubbo's old house they head to the museum, where Eret talks a bit about the Camarvan, the various deaths of L'Manburg, and the Egg

"Yeah, I punched that [the Egg] once and it hurt me" "Is that why your fist is red or is it unrelated?" "Unrelated but I feel like it may start becoming related" Oh? Future Eryn and Egg lore? Maybe? Pog?

Eret also talked about her betrayal and showed Eryn the Final Control Room and then about Wilbur's fall and showed the Button Room. Eryn seemed confused when Eret talked about the deaths of the L'Manburgians and wondered if they were truly that bad they deserved it, especially since Tommy and Tubbo were part of it

Eret also showed Eryn the true Final Control Room, and Eryn then shows them the shrine to Dream he built in Tommy's basement (and actually clarifies that he's the one who built it) and actually explains his reasoning, saying that Tommy had expressed lacking a purpose with Dream in prison and that he was trying to help by getting Tommy imprisoned

After that Eret asks Eryn if he truly believes that Dream has done nothing wrong and Eryn answers that he never did anything bad to him so he can't say he's a bad guy. Cue to Eret being based "Dream is the villain of the entire server" and to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt he brought Eryn to Logstedshire

"I've tripped and fallen and killed a few people" fair enough

"I don't know too much about what happened here myself" I'd say that that was purposeful on Dream's side

"That huge tower I believe is- I think Tommy jumped off that" "He what?! Did he like clutch it? Like- did he like- was that like- like a, you know, like a stunt?" "I'm not sure, but it's a one-way tower, if you're coming down of that peacefully you mine it down" Tommy's suicide attempt getting acknowledged in lore my beloved

"And then over here we got Tommy's beach party" "Oh, did you come? Were you invited to the beach party?" "Dream is the one who gave out the invites, Eryn, and-" "Okay, so he didn't invite you?" "Dream told Tommy that he invited many people, then when no one came Dream used that to basically try to convince Tommy that he was all alone in the world" "What the fuck!" More messed up parts of exile being acknowledged, this lore stream single-handedly added 20 years to my life span. Though I do wonder how Eret found out about the beach party? Maybe an off-screen talk with either Ghostbur, Ranboo, or Tommy?

Eret also mentions the disc war, expressing that they don't know much about it. Honestly, I don't think anyone but Dream and Tommy does

"This [logstedshire] is where Tommy was abandoned for I think a few months" Nice, someone aside from Tommy confirming that exile lasted months

"No one met up with him [Tommy]" "Why not? Why did none of you go and see him?" "'Cause we didn't- he was in exile, no one knew where he was, he was just very far away" So, I'm guessing that outside of the canonical visitors (the New L'Manburg's Cabinet, the Badlands, Techno, Phil, Lazarbeam, and Connor) the info on Tommy's location didn't circulate?

Eret also mentioned that there were a lot of books Tommy had written that were destroyed when Logsteshire got blown up, but I'm fairly sure that only the mail exchange and the How to Sex books were there. "So all the evidence is gone basically" That though is a good way to put it, it's hard for the majority of the characters to find out what happened because any evidence of it is gone

"Born in fire, innit? Born in fire. Did- did you know I'm actually half-demon me" please tell me they're keeping the whole Eryn being Sapnap's brother thing, it would be funny. Also Bad is apparently his fatherly figure, they played chess once and Eryn got attached

Eret is talking about Schlatt now! Finally, he's not mentioned all that often. And it was brought up that Dream actually endorsed Schlatt, nice. Also, Wilbur's and Tommy's exile was mentioned

"Wilbur when he blew up L'Manburg was actually met by Phil, and then Phil killed Wilbur" "Eh, that kind of- why?!" We all wonder that really...

They arrive at Pogtopia after that. "Were you part of this place [Pogtopia] or...?" "I tried to be. I wanted to fight by their side" "I mean, seeing as you killed them, that does seem counterproductive for them potentially" and Eryn is being incredibly based as well actually

"Why are there buttons everywhere?" "I- I forget. I think it was Will going insane" Fundy's prank really is lost to history, huh?

Also, one thing I noticed is that Eret doesn't seem to remember that initially Dream was technically allied with Pogtopia, but it's also possible that since he switched sides before Eret joined she simply never knew about it

Oh my, Eret brought up the time he hired Techno to assassinate George. "You're quite the tactful person, you seem to just let other people get their hands dirty" lmao, Eryn keeps being based, love to see that

Eryn's hobby is making shrines to celebrate false idols, love to see that

After Pogtopia they actually go to Boomerville. "So what happened to these guys [Lazar and Vik]?" "I don't know I haven't seen these guys in ages either" "Everyone just- there's- there's a lot of people who just kinda-" "Disappear, yeah" ominous. And it's even worse with the knowledge of Lazar's and Vik's horrific deaths

"I should probably be concerned about the number of people who just seem to disappear in the server" Oh really now??

"There's a concerning amount of deaths over trivial things honestly, like discs, a drug van, you know like- I guess- I guess people's emotions get the best of them" Yeah... nobody is ever fully logical when they act, emotions always have a huge role to play in the smp

They then head to the Egg. And Eret talks about the red banquet "Foolish sacrificed himself for me" "I'm assuming that's because you're the king and he was, you know" "There was something deeper there" eternal duo lore crumbs, I'm emotional

"So the bad guys are as follow: Dream" "Yes" "Wilbur" "Eeeeh" "Schlatt, Antfrost, I just don't like Antfrost honestly. And then everyone thinks you're a bad guy, but you're just doing your king stuff basically" lmao, love seeing Ant up there with the Big Bads of the server. Also, it's interesting to see that Eret doesn't actually consider Wilbur one of the bad guys

After that, they head to Dream's original base, and Eryn talks about his meeting with DreamXD where he killed Foolish a bunch of times and discovered that God gave Foolish immortality

Eret also mentions how they locked Sam up in the prison

And, quite out of nowhere Eryn then asks to become a knight for Eret. Eret says that he gave her a few too many red flags to be trusted immediately and he'll have to prove more of his worth to her (but doesn't deny him outright so there is a chance in the future)

And that's about where the lore part of the stream ends!
