when will the loser bracket start?

Same day the finals for the main tournament start! Each round will only be a day, so they'll be finished before the finals are done (8 contestant bracket = 3 rounds, 16 contestant bracket = 4 rounds).

For when the main tournament finals start, just check the amount of time left of the semifinals. It'll be right after that concludes!

Loser bracket I’d like to nominate Mija. Her design is really cute, she gets a really catchy pop song to sing, and I like that the show managed to find a good balance between the original story’s set up and a happy ending (ik disney did it too but Happily Ever After us just such a cute show)

Are quarterfinals too far in? Because if not Laura Apollodoros Hyginus La Mer from Precure.

I kept going back and forth on whether or not the Quarterfinals would count, but I decided that they would be allowed in the Loser's Bracket! Reason why is because while everyone in the Semifinals will get at least 3rd place bronze place, whereas the Quarterfinalists wouldn't.

Their a bug that falls in love with a human they rescue and becomes human, but even when they don't get to keep their human body, they still get to be with their love. It's a sci-fi fairytale musical.

Little Mermaid meets Starship Troopers musical starring awesome puppets and the most trans coded main character ever. Please. Please vote Bug Starship I love him. Go watch Kick it Up a Notch from Starship. Go watch Status Quo from Starship. You will understand.

He's a bug and he lives in space on a bug planet but he really wants to be a starship ranger which you can only be if you are a human and then one day a spaceship lands on his planet and so he goes to an evil bug called Pincer who then helps him become a human. And Bug falls in love with a human on the spaceship and it's very sweet. The musical and storyline are based on the little mermaid story, the creators themselves called it "the little mermaid but in space". Bug wanting to be a human/a starship ranger and achieving that and falling in love with a human is very much like the little mermaid

Starship is a musical that can only be described as The Little Mermaid meets Starship Troopers. It follows Bug, an alien bug who dreams of being a Starship Ranger, a galactic explorer/soldier, but the rigid confines of bug society keeps him trapped in a job he hates. He reaches a Starship Ranger named February from the hive and immediately falls in love with her. In order to be with her and pursue his dream, he makes a deal with a giant scorpion named Pincer who through sci-fi bs gives him a human body. Near the end of the second act he sacrifices his human body and returns to his bug body, and saves the day and wins February's heart. It's truly the ultimate Little Mermaid. He has multiple songs, and his bug body is portrayed by a puppet!! Vote for Bug!!

They are the purest little mermaid adaptation done in the most unuque way. An alien insect gets turned into a human, a race he has always loved and admired, to be with the woman he fell in love with. Also just a great musical.

Bug's whole arc is so so in tune with that of the little mermaid. He is an alien who has fallen in love with humanity through a crashed spaceship and trades his place in the hive for a chance to be with both with the human he's falling for and to be a Starship Ranger. He body swaps with human in a cryogenic pod! It's literally sci-fi Little Mermaid!

The OG, she suffered so much more than Ariel in the Disney version, and gave up her love for Christianity. When she's turned into a human her feet are in agony with every step, but she dances anyway to enchant the Prince. The Prince marries a princess who found him after the Little Mermaid rescued him. The Little Mermaid is distraught at the prince marrying another, so her sisters give her a dagger from the Sea Witch that will turn her back into a mermaid if she kills him. She refuses to kill him, and then she turns into sea foam and dies, but because she was a good person she becomes a spirit of the air and does good deeds for 300 years until she dies again, gains a soul, and goes to Heaven.

Because someone had to submit her. I mean the animated version, specifically.

She may make very stupid decisions in the name of her special interest, but you've got to admire the dedication at least! Also goddamn her singing voice.

Part of Your World still hits so hard and makes me so emotional, despite not feeling very attached to this movie. Jodi Benson has such a beautiful voice! I haven't watched the live-action remake so I don't know how good that rendition of Part Of Your World is, but this one is so incredibly powerful.

As a child i did not even realize this was a little merm adaptation, but it really reads. She is sooo strange and other worldly and the movie absolutely captures that dreamlike fairy tale vibe

Ponyo a roughly five-year-old magical goldfish who can transform into a frog-type thing and a human girl. She's the eldest daughter of the literal goddess of the sea and a former human sailor given immortality. She falls in love with the five-year-old boy who cares for her and is thrilled to explore his ordinary yet magical world. She's bouncy, exuberant, and joyful. She loves ham. She doesn't have to give up her voice.

i submitted bug and i love him dearly but is it bad to say i dont want him to win? i think second or third would be okay. i want one of my girls to win. ponyo im rooting for you!!!

Perfectly reasonable! A lot of people submit multiple characters, and I can't say that that means they want to see each of them to win. Sometimes you just submit one character just because you like them, want to see who they go against and everything!

As for Bug, since he reached the semifinals he will get at least 3rd place, as the 2 losers of the Semifinals get 3rd place role. If he succeeds there but loses in the final match, then he'll be 2nd place :) I never do a match to determine the bronze medalist in my tourneys.

Submitting Furina de Fontaine from Genshin Impact for the Loser’s Bracket.

My propaganda is:

The layers of Little Mermaid symbolism in this, forming a heartwrenching onion in full. She’s and Oceanid who was turned into a human - just like everyone else in Fontaine but she got the extra bit of being cursed with immortality and had to pretend to be the Hydro Archon for 500 years all with the pressure that if she got found out the entire nation might die. Despite what it does to her mind, she fulfills her part of the plan faithfully, even to the point she’s begging and crying as the people put her on trial and condemn her, still trying to get these people to believe her lie since the apocalypse is about to happen and all she knows is they’re all about to die because she failed her part at the last possible second. The play she helps to direct and later has to take part in is also the story of an Oceanid that asks to become human, can’t tell anyone her secret identity, then sacrifices herself to save the land full of people that began to hate and condemn her. Her performance nets her a Vision, and honestly that tracks because the musical number we get to see is so beautiful, there’s a reason Hoyoverse uploaded multiple renditions of it. An extra layer is that the play is also symbolic to the former director of the trope she helps out who was also a big fan of her. Anyway, her story is one of Genshin’s best, maybe not being a 1:1 on the fairy tale but embodying the self-sacrifice out of love theme the original conveys. She really deserves another chance.
