I'd kill for the vocalsynth community to get a documentary the way that like, the furry fandom gets documented on. Because it's a huge decentralized network of artists, producers, storytellers, and fans all making a huge community operate for over a decade and a half through pure love, but to the people outside that group a lot of those incredible efforts are simply just credited to Miku. And like, yeah, Miku is a symbol of the community and all it's love, she's the forefront, the epicenter of everything vocalsynth related, but she's not a real person. She would have never gotten anywhere if it wasn't for thousands of dedicated fans. I just wish it was more common knowledge how impressive the vocalsynth community is for literally being a mostly decentralized community operating entirely off of love for 16 years. The voices of producers, artists, video editors, etc should be heard more
Cause like yeah nowadays it's a lot more common for producers to move more into like, commercialized work (cough cough project sekai) but people need money, and said commercialization is nowhere near being the heart of the community's driving force that is simply just people doing things out of love making miku and other synths get so popular.

I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say
