i think we all know how much i hate craquaria and the whole idea of shipping real people, but there’s a huge fucking problem that needs to be addressed:

i saw that @beautifuldeadme got this ask and it’s been bothering me all day and i couldn’t let it go. before i get into all of this, i just wanna say that she herself is a victim and has never written anything with smut. she doesn’t even ship them, she thinks it’s as gross as i do but it’s just a way for her to practice writing.

have your cute coffee shop AUs or dinner dates or whatever the fuck you wanna read/write, but the fact that any of you think it’s okay or normal by any means to ask someone to write this is disgusting. whether the writer themselves are a victim or not, for you to ask them to “fictionally” sexualize a victim of sexual assault for you to read about it and fulfill your gross fantasy is horrible. we all know that gay people are overly sexualized as it is but to take it a step further and sexualize rape/sexual assault/violence and turn it into a story arc for your enjoyment is so fucked in the head and i don’t think any of you realize it.

another huge problem is this anon saying that it’s something they would “really like to read/benefit from.” what the fuck. the complete audacity to manipulate this situation and turn it into a “beneficial learning experience” instead of what it actually is, sexualizing and normalizing rape. if you’re going to ask for that in the first place then don’t you dare turn it into something else to try and lessen the meaning of what you’re asking for. you’re asking for someone to romanticize rape and sexual assault. that’s it. there’s no deeper meaning. that’s what you’re asking for, you can twist it whichever way you like but that will never change. if you really wanna benefit from hearing someone’s story, read about REAL victims and how they dealt with their trauma. that’s how you can learn and try to understand what it’s like. from real fucking people and real stories. sexual assault isn’t this imaginary idea that exists in fan fiction for your reading pleasure, it’s fucking real. so don’t give me that “i wanna learn from it” bullshit cuz that’s not what you wanna do, you wanna sexualize gay people and romanticize the ‘idea of rape’ (because apparently that’s only an idea, not a real problem) and you think it’s okay because it’s “fiction.”

moving on to the next problem, the reason i keep putting “fiction” in quotations is because you guys use “fiction” as a way to protect yourself. you think because it’s “fiction” then it’s okay, that you won’t get judged for what you read/write and that you don’t actually think this is okay, “it’s just fiction” right? all of you asking for teacher/student parent/child smut think that because it’s “fiction” then you’re okay, that you’re not a horrible person. you’re wrong. the fact that that you want to “theoretically” sexualize children and want to read about statutory rape doesn’t make it any different. you’re still reading about rape and child abuse. you’re not a good person because “it’s just fiction.” you’re enjoying it. you’re disgusting and horrible and a shitty person. you’re still a pedophile.

the last thing i wanna talk about is a specific person, @ep04ff. she’s a well-known craquaria fic writer, a straight woman sexualizing a gay relationship (who would have guessed). now i just wanna call this person out because they’re the type of hetero who thinks the “struggle of being straight in a mostly gay-dominated community” is the same as being gay. i have no sympathy for straight people who don’t feel welcomed in a mostly gay community. fuck off. you can be straight anywhere you want and you won’t get judged for it. we need these communities because it’s finally a place where we feel welcomed and free of judgment (for the most part). and all of you craquaria shippers going to her inbox telling her shit like “it’s okay if you’re straight! i don’t understand why people are being mean to you! they wouldn’t like it if it was the other way around!” like fuck yes we wouldn’t like it if it was the other way around we’ve been discriminated against our whole lives and most of us still are, i understand that you’re all fucking stupid in the first place but this is a whole new level. the writer’s also in her 20s, an adult writing craquaria smut for 12-14 year olds to read. do none of you see the problem in that? that’s fucking dangerous. and to add to all of this, a victim was getting anons about sexual assault (fuck you all) and this was her message to the person:

(oh also, she ships herself with other fic writers who are minors when she’s an adult with a fiancée, you can’t make this shit up)

there is no way anyone in the world could defend this. and if you disagree with anything i’ve said, you’re disgusting and you’re getting blocked. i know this is a long post but i couldn’t ignore this huge issue anymore.

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
