March 31 is International Day of Transgender Visibility, so I made a random image for it since I’m a trans guy (man who was assigned female at birth). Being transgender can be varying levels of difficult depending on your specific environment. Everyone’s journey and decisions is unique.

For some reason between studying pharmacology and nursing research, watching a grown man do a ridiculous dance is actually very entertaining.

I've been using MMD to for so many specific projects that I'd almost forgotten how much fun it was to just make your character models do funny dances that the characters would never actually do.

This particular dance is just really ridiculous. I love it.

Fanfic: has Gavin get injured and then Nines forces him to take time off to recover.

Me: Maybe now they can finally spend some time bonding and building their relationship/friendship. I would love to see some fun social interactions between the two while Nines helps Gavin recover from his injury.

Author: I'm skipping the recovery time. People wouldn't want to watch Gavin and Nines do things like watch cat memes, and it wouldn't advance the plot forward.

Me: You don't know me at all, do you?

These fanfics are stories that have a central focus on the relationship between two characters. I honestly couldn't care less about the Red Ice investigation, weird ideas around deviancy or other boring plot lines. Maybe it's just me, but I don't read Detroit: Become Human fanfiction for the complicated police investigation stories; I read them to see fun and interesting character interactions. If I wanted to see fictional police investigations in great detail, I'd read a crime thriller novel or watch a police procedural show like CSI or Law and Order SVU.

Recovery arcs are perfect opportunities for characters to bond. Why would you waste that by skipping it? The social interactions between Gavin and Nines are the highlights of these stories (and the entire purpose for me to read them in the first place).

A random reverse AU comic

I thought about how in the game, Gavin and Hank call Connor "plastic prick", so "flesh prick" is like a version that would apply to humans...except it sounds more weird and ridiculous.

I saw a cool design of a reverse AU Gavin that was GV900, so I wanted to make a model that looked similar.

Honestly, I don't think anyone from Cyberlife would deliberately design an android with a personality like Gavin Reed, so my personal reverse AU Gavin would be an android made by a disgruntled former Cyberlife employee that gets picked up by the DPD (so he would be more like a GV200 or GV500). So, I think in my head, reverse AU Reed would not play a similar role to Nines in the game, but I thought a Gavin version of RK900 would look cool visually.

It may be obvious to most people, but I just realized after watching some weird terrible American remake of a Japanese horror movie that Gavin is actually wearing a leather jacket on top of a hoodie.

All this time I was confused and unsure whether it was a leather texture hoodie or a leather jacket with a hoodie like hood, but no it was just those two articles of clothing layered.

The guy in the movie was an undercover cop, and his outfit looked almost exactly like Gavin Reed. When I saw him remove his leather jacket, I realized he had been layering a leather jacket on top of a hoodie.

I don't know how people can be comfortable wearing that many layers all the time in non-cold weather, but more power to them I guess (I live in Canada and only tolerate a hundred layers when going outside in the winter).
