going back to the "Vil can't actually force Rook to do anything" thing, i am a firm believer that the true Pomefiore dynamic is just "if your mother says no, go ask your dad". Vil forbids Epel from doing something, and Rook instantly appears behind Epel to help him do exactly that. they're constantly scheming something behind Vil's back.
