Sorrow

What does one feel  When they have nothing left When everyone has borrowed And not given back? I find myself drowning in sorrow It feels bad But it'll disappear on the morrow OR at least i hope Not all of my sorrow goes away Some of it sticks around for a while But i hope that one day my sadness will no longer afflict me Or afflict anyone, because this emotions is an awful thing That no one should drown in. I wish someone would take it away Bring a smile and sunshine into my life Maybe you will? Or another? Just please, don’t let me have sorrow.

Hopeful

I like to be hopeful That you enjoy my poems, But I don’t know  If you even read them I just want to know, Would it be a waste of hope? To think that maybe Just maybe, You enjoy my words,  I don’t have anything Telling me you do But the same can be said About the opposite. I have no evidence that my hope Is worth the anxiety I would like to know if you enjoy it Or if you don’t But please let me know, What you feel and think About these heartfelt words. So that I may know  Whether to continue being hopeful Or to move on and write for others. When your heart decides That you cannot do it anymore You tend to let it lead you With nowhere else to go But to follow along Blind trust in your heart Can often cause harm But it also can bring good Nobody wants to risk  That blind faith For most have already tried And they have been hurt Sometimes you need to be injured In order to find the positive But few people want to blindly trust As they have learned  That we as a species are cruel To a point, they are right But there are some untruths hidden  People are often just in it for themselves But not when they are young Younger people have not yet learned  Of humanity’s cruelty And so therefore, Are more likely to trust blindly And then find the good.

Attraction

An annoyingly wonderful thing It brings people together And tears them apart as well Just as fast as it occurs, It can disappear Or it can stay for a long time And not fade, even against all odds Even if you really want it to end It will stubbornly insist On staying in existence No matter what you try, Your attraction doesn’t fade, Not until you explore it, After that, it can grow Or it can wither away as you learn about them The one who attracted you, Whether they be a good person, or a bad person You’ll never know until you learn about them So give it a shot, Maybe it will work out, Or maybe it won’t. You’ll never know, unless you try.
