No but this is actually so true. When S and I were inseparable, I would go to his family's house every few weeks to hang out with him and his brother. Whenever I would get there, his dad would typically have something on the stove or grill heating. He'd greet me and say 'HEY I MADE FOOD. ARE YOU HUNGRY?' and if he ever hadn't made anything yet, either because he was taking his wife to dinner or it was just early in the day, he'd ask if I was hungry and I'd just go 'no, I'm fine sir, thank you' and he'd turn to his sons and go 'IF SHE SAYS SHE'S HUNGRY, GO BUY HER FOOD. HERE'S MONEY'.
I... I love that man. His son's a dick, but S's dad is like a second father to me. I have no idea where I'd be without him.
The difference in cultures regarding feeding your guests is funny. Like in some cultures they're straight up "Why should I feed an unannounced guest ??? They got food at home" & if it's a kid they're like "They got parents at home to feed them !!!" But in other cultures it's like "You're not fucking walking out of here w/ an empty stomach... You are gonna EAT & YOU WILL LIKE IT" & if it's a kid it's like "No no, I am not sending you home hungry - you're a child & you're a guest in my home, you're eating !!!"
I'm starting to think the transfer office at my school is illiterate... because half of my classes didn't transfer and it's saying I have to take them again.
Oh right this is why I dropped out of college...
