bringing animals into your home and heart is one of the most wonderful feelings... but that’s exactly what makes it that much more painful when you have to let a beloved animal go.
Nadia was a disabled kitten who’s bottom half of her body was deformed. she lived a happy life for almost 7 weeks before her body just couldn’t quite keep up with her anymore. she couldn’t digest her food well and was unable to defecate. we had xrays taken and tried to have her treated, but nothing was working and she was showing signs of discomfort and pain.
today, I said my last goodbye to this sweet, little kitten. it was hard and I can’t keep from crying as I type this and reminisce over my time with her. after her first vet visit proved pretty pessimistic, we knew her life would most likely be cut short... still, my family and I wanted to give her as much TLC for as long as we could.
for such a little creature who spent such a short amount of time in my life, she sure has impacted me with a love I will cherish for years to come. it reminds me of the saying that goes: “an animal may be a small part of your life, but you are your animal’s whole life.” Nadia wasn’t able to stay on this earth for long, but my family and I so thoroughly enjoyed this precious kitten... she didn’t let her struggles phase her love and personality and she managed to be one of the sweetest, spunkiest, silliest cats I’ve ever encountered.
I love you and miss you enormously, Nadia. thank you for being such a blessing to me. though it hurts so badly to have you gone now, I’m thankful I could love you so dearly for me to miss you so much.
This past week’s been pretty crazy. I’ve had a ton of homework to do and I’ve barely been sleeping... But I’m super happy and I love my friends so much.
I have both a quote and a Bible verse that have been getting me through this week;
• “We can complain because rose bushes have thorns or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.”
• “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you, He will never let the righteous be shaken.” (Psalm 55:22)
I’ve been reminding myself of these due to me trying to break the habit of complaining and worrying about school. I need to keep a more positive and hopeful mindset and remember that the challenges and struggles I’m facing right now will not shake my confidence. I’m doing my best and that’s what counts.
You can tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to, so put your music on shuffle and list the first 10 songs, then tag people! I was tagged by both @aziraephales and @buzzardblues (I adore y’all 💗).
All My Tears – Ane Brun,
Like Real People Do – Hozier,
17 – Kings of Leon,
Wasteland, Baby! – Hozier,
Hey Yah – GOT7,
Hardest Of Hearts – Florence + The Machine,
Don’t Care – GOT7,
Hollywood Forever – K.Flay,
Inevitable – Lauren Daigle, &
Carried Away – Great Good Fine OK.
LOL! Well, I started out with some strong bops and then ended with some random K-pop songs. I think my favorites on this list are currently All My Tears, Hollywood Fever, and Inevitable. Though, I do really love and enjoy anything by Kings of Leon and Hozier. :P I don’t know what this music really says about me though, besides the fact that I have random taste.
Anyway, this was fun! I’ll tag @cmgabbi and @scarlet-amnesia , if y’all would like to try this! 😉
I give thanks for the life, for the day
For the hours and another life breathin’
I did it all ‘cause it feel good
You’d leave it all if it feel bad
Better live your life, we were runnin’ out of time
Cause it was us baby, way before then
And we’re still together
And I meant, every word I said
When I said that I love you I meant
That I love you forever
