I just want to say that Sandra Lynn is genuinely one of my favourite characters ever created I love that women so fucking much. She’s complex, she’s messy, she’s made so many mistakes but you can tell she cares so deeply about everyone around her.

Her relationship with fig means much to me, you can tell she loves her daughter more than anything but it hurts to see herself reflected in fig and to see that relationship develop through the season is incredibly meaningful. On top of that the chat she had with Adaine in the latest episode and even some of the moments in sophomore year you can tell she really fucking cares about the other bad kids to and loves them for how they take care of daughter.

She was manipulated while she was young and it tore her life up and I just wish that, the young adventurer who got fucked over could see herself now with family and support network she has and although she may not be an adventurer, she’s still a hero and has been on other quests and helped save the world.

Daily reminder to you all that Sandra Lynn was a 17-18 year old highschool graduate manipulated by an older adventurer in a position of power over her. Something that left her with lasting trauma that heavily impacts her interpersonal relationships to this day. you don't understand how insane i am about gorgug in the nightmare forest. he's claustrophobic. he's spent his whole life in a house too small for him. the tunnel is full of bugs. everything and everyone is small and fragile and breakable. he's felt like an idiot his whole life. the only way to beat the puzzle is to give up and admit he isn't smart enough. he loves his friends so much he could send them hope from miles away. sickening.

also im just fucking cracking up at oliver going "at the beginning of the season I was going to play buck as having a sexual awakening whether the writers were doing it or not" and that translating to buck looking at eddie with the most down horrendous blushy heart eyes possible in every scene cause WHAT would he have done if tim didn't decide to make it canon. at some point he would've been in a scene with eddie and marisol and you would just see buck in the background gagging. he would give that boy Hanahaki disease in the name of character development.

tbh i think the reason why there is very little multishipping in the 911 fandom, which is mostly consisting of just buddie fans when we're being very real, has already been addressed years ago. not-so-secretly buddies have always been either buck girlies or eddie girlies and if it wasn't for buddie, they'd have eaten each other alive years ago and i think the recent development really threw fuel into that fire unfortunately

Yeah I can definitely see that. I honestly never realised until recently how a fair amount of buddie fan has some extreme favouritism within the ship especially in some fics I’ve read where one of them is being treat like the sun shines out their arse and can do no wrong while the other is treat more like an accessory to the point they’re either a shell of the character with no real depth or lowkey villainised to highlight the other

One of the reasons why I've always thought that pairing up Eddie or Buck with a brand new character who's only brought in as a love interest will simply not work, is the fact that the rest of the mains are all paired up with other mains.

Bobby and Athena. Maddie and Chimney. Karen is the only wife who's not a real main herself, but her character and her and Hen's relationship are both so fleshed out and beautiful that she still feels like a main.

This is the main reason why, in my opinion, it's always going to feel so incredibly lacking to try and pair up Eddie and Buck with random new people. When we're so used to knowing and loving both parties in a romantic relationship on this show. It's one of the many reasons why I feel like endgame romantic Buddie is the only thing that's going to feel fair to their characters.

Which leads me to the genious choice of Tommy being brought back to be Buck's new love interest. Tommy, who's already an established character in this universe. Tommy, who's already got history with members of the 118 that aren't Buck. Who was insinuated to be a closeted gay long before he was gonna be Buck's bisexual awakening. Who said he thought Kirsten Stewart was too broody way before the show decided to pair him up with someone as sweet and bright as Buck.

And even now that he is a love interest, he still gets to keep a personality of his own. He still gets to be a little reserved when meeting up Buck for coffee at the end of the episode, hesitant to say yes to another date, because he's allowed to look after his own heart and not wanting to be hurt by someone who might still be in the closet, unlike himself. Like that is such a real and fair choice to make for yourself as a queer person, and I'm so happy they let him be all that.

I still think endgame Buddie is the thing that'll make the most sense for this show and its characters. But, my god, is it hard to be anything but fucking thrilled about having Tommy around right now.
