Info about the animatronics(and blog universe)

Here's some stuff regarding my interpretations for the Nightmares! There will be a readmore as this post will be long. If you'd like more information for my ask blogs, check the link in my bio.

Blog Overview: As stated on multiple occasions, this ask blog revolves around a little AU, where the animatronics live in the abandoned FNAF 4 house. They are remnants of the bitten child's fear of the original animatronics/counterparts of the Nightmares, and they are physical beings, perhaps considered demons. They simply live in the house, and do nothing else, though they do leave the house at night sometimes. This ask blog started out as a shitpost blog, with N.BB as the primary muse, however, it has since become a more serious blog, with all of the Nightmares being as equally prominent, with N.BB serving as a mascot and the one talking the most often. This ask blog is NOT heavily lore based, and does not dive into the lore of my AU, however, if it is of important to know, the protagonist of FNAF 4 based on this AU, is the brother of the bitten child, being haunted by the Nightmares as punishment for causing the bite.

Nightmare BB: (he/him): -Height: 4'11 -Personality: mischievous, slightly egotistical, hyper, hungry, loud, playful, likes to talk. -Other notes: He is the only animatronic who can taste, and therefore, is the only animatronic who actively cares about eating, though, none of the animatronics have to eat. He also used to be so unused to affection that he'd become hyper towards it, but does not anymore. He also wishes he were an actual entertainment animatronic, but not for a "kiddie place", a place where older people go, where he could cuss, most likely.

Plushtrap: (He/Them) -Height: 3'4 -Personality: Mischievous, hyper, playful, commonly shitposty, likes to run, somewhat loud. Other notes: He and N.BB bicker often, but their bickering is never incredibly aggressive. They're quite close friends.

The Freddles: (They/It) -Height: 1'2 -Personality: VERY hyper, VERY loud, feral, mischievous(even destructively at times), seem to act almost in unison. -Other notes: There are a total of 9 Freddles(this used to be a shitpost but I'm actually making it legit), just, N.Freddy has trained them to only come out in pairs of 3. They all almost look identical, and act the same. Who knows, they might be a hivemind.

Nightmare Freddy: (He/him) -Height: 9'3 -Personality: Tired, reserved, patient, somewhat fatherly, rough around the edges. Other notes: While VERY reserved, he is protective of the Freddles and really everyone else, and will defend them if he feels he needs to, even if...They can't really be physically harmed.

Nightmare Bonnie: (He/Him) -Height: 9' -Personality: Has a tough guy attitude, quiet, somewhat rough, easily irritated, a little awkward at times. Other notes: He thumps his foot on the ground when angry, flustered, excited or happy. Hates being called Bugs Bunny, isn't actually trying to be rude, he just likes trying to be tough, and dislikes opening up. He's actually a pretty nice guy if you get to know him.

Nightmare Foxy: (he/him) -Height: 7'11 -Personality: Eager, polite, somewhat socially awkward, usually quiet and somewhat isolated Other notes: N.Foxy is the one out of all of the Nightmares who seems to be the most interested in their counterparts and pasts. He's the one who is the most openly surprised when visitors aren't afraid of the Nightmares. He has a TV that he watches regularly.

Nightmare Mangle: (any pronoun, has a preference for they/them) -Height: 7'12 -Personality: Quiet, shy, interested in the simpler things, prone to staying out of socializing. Other notes: N.Mangle is mute, basically. Like their counterpart, their vocalizations sound like static and electronic frequencies. If they wish to properly communicate, they will write on paper.

Nightmare Chica:(She/Her) -Height: 8'5 -Personality: Gentle, motherly, nice, caring, soft spoken, opportunistic. Other notes: While usually very nice and gentle, if you make her angry she becomes quite the opposite. She likes to draw, and is pretty good at it as well.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nightmare Fredbear:(He/Him) -Height: 12'7 -Personality: Quiet, lost in taught, soft spoken, usually idle, potentially pessimistic at times. Other notes: While he is not entirely the culprit, he often shows remorse for the bite of 83, for some reason, wishing it had not of happened.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nightmare:(He/Him) -Height: 13' -Personality: Stoic, somewhat short spoken, easily irritated, intimidating, bossing at times. Other notes: Is the most supernaturally intune out of the others, tying with Nightmare Puppet. His stomach mouth is able to disappear entirely, and he is also able to shapeshift and teleport. He is protective of Plushtrap.

Nightmare Puppet(They/Them): -Height: 11'5 -Personality: Cunning, quiet, adverse to socialization, usually reserved and polite. Other notes: They like insects quite a lot. If a bug gets in the house, they somehow ALWAYS know, and will always let it out with gentle precision. Very intune with the supernatural, they seem to often reside in some pocket dimension that nobody else has ever accessed.

The Jack-o-Lanterns have not been written deeply, they only come around Halloween as muses, and stay dormant, normally. As such, I don't have much to say for them. I will brainstorm for them this year, and add onto this post after I figure them out.

Wait, what exactly happened in the Jack O Chica episode in the Lost Episodes Au?

((AHHHH sorry, I hope this wasn’t sitting in my inbox for too long! Hope this helps; the plot was:

Jack-O was a fictional monster in one of Jonathan Afton’s ‘Lost Episodes’ series of horror books, and like the premise of the recent Goosebumps movies she magically manifested into the ‘real’ world one night - in Afton’s home, specifically. After some villainous monologuing and Jonathan trying to stand up to her, in exchange for Jonathan’s life she demands he write a book for each of her fellow Nightmares so they too can become real and join her in terrorizing the townsfolk and feeding on their fear (which has some pretty nasty side effects on their prey’s mental state). Jonathan tries to be a hero and refuse her deal, but Jack-O manages to tap into his mind and put him in a dream state, hoping to coerce him to cooperate through some good-ol’ psychological manipulation at the subconscious level. But before she can begin twisting his mind, she sees Afton confront another demon Belle Cipher in the dreamscape, with whom Afton apparently made a previous deal. She approaches Jonathan and Belle to find out more about this sudden appearance of another demon of the mind -not being keen on the competition- and that was where the thread left off.))

He shouted happily and so excitedly. He was jumping very slightly, as he was filled with excitement. Chris hadn't forgotten of his spooky friend!

It isn’t too late to sign up to be a house, either! Just send me an ask or message me and I’ll confirm your addition to the list! I’ll keep this post pinned to the top of my page, which will have the most up-to-date list of participating house blogs, as well as notices of any of the blogs that need to bow out early and put up the ‘out of candy’ sign (hey, life happens)! As a reminder, we’re going to try to keep the event PG-13. However, 18+ and NSFW blogs are welcome to sign up to be houses, just let me know so I can note it on our house list- still need the treats to be PG-13 though. Treats/tricks can be photos of a handful of candy, pre-made/on-the-fly art, short literary pieces, poems, or whatever the ‘house’ wants to give out as long as it sticks with the basic PG-13 rule. Oh, and no jump-scares as tricks/treats please!

Houses have anytime before Nov. 1st to respond to a knock at their door, so please be patient with the lovely folks who signed up to be our houses (though that deadline is pretty flexible because, again, life/delays happen). If you can, send your trick-or-treat greetings well before the end of the month to make sure the houses have time to get their treats ready.

This is a pretty low-key event and there’s no sense in getting stressed out over something that’s supposed to be fun, so if anything comes up or you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me. That is especially true if anyone is being a jerk - please let me know and I will investigate.

A few additional notes:

You don’t have to be a FNAF blog to participate, nor do your tricks/treats have to be FNAF themed.

‘House’ blogs can also trick or treat!

All fandom/non-fandom blogs are welcome to join in!

You don’t need a muse to participate. You can just be your lovely offline self if you like!

Trick-or-treaters can visit as many ‘house’ blogs as they want - no shade if you just want to visit one or two particular blogs or the whole neighborhood.

Working up to being active over here and on rp’s as soon as I can- sorry for the silence ... for the umpteenth time. I had intended on resuming rp’s the beginning of last month (July), but some shitty things happened in my offline life and I couldn’t really handle one of the dark themes that comes up a lot in my rp’s ... plus the ongoing struggle of low-key having lost my muse for Jack-O. I’m still planning an intentional break from rp’s in September, but I’m going to try to at least show some signs of life over here again- with the option of resuming rp’s (i.e. if we have an rp going, you don’t have to continue with it if you don’t want, but I’ll at least try to get replies written if you do).
