I’m safe and healthy and that’s what’s really important right now. A/N: OH HO IM BACK and I have so much explaining to do, I know. I’m so so sorry. More details to come tomorrow and hopefully a better designed blog soon. I will also be answering all of the wonderful wonderful asks from you wonderful wonderful people tomorrow (I just read through them and I might be crying a little bit).  I hope in the meantime this eases some of the terrible pressure on everyone right now. The next week passes by in a haze of diminishing anxiety and hard labor. Jason fades in and out of consciousness but he arrives closer and closer to a full recovery each day. At least that’s what the younger woman who offered reassurance when you first arrived tells you. You have since learned her name is Kavya.

You’ve learned a lot about Kavya and the town she helped raise. She grew up a few miles from the site. She was studying English so that she could attend an American college and pursue a degree in Business. Her mother had fallen ill so she gave up that ambition for the moment to help take care of her. And then she met Priya. You spent an entire afternoon listening to their stories of how they would sneak off and meet in the most secluded spots just to see each other for five minutes. They’re so clearly in love with each other it makes your heart full just to be around them. Kavya’s mother made a wonderful recovery and she was completely head over heels for Priya.

“It was a deceptively magical time,” Kavya relayed to you one night. “Until Priya’s family found us. They completely cut her off and threatened our lives so we had to run.” Priya squeezed her hand, almost looking ashamed but Kavya kissed her cheek and the immediate relief was evident.
