As some may have seen, things have been happening to the #moneypit! -EK subframe removed and EG subframe installed, with the new lower control arms and steering rack. -@getnrg quick release hub and adapter have been installed which make the car so much nicer to get in and out of with how low the seats are (tall people problems) -@competitionclutch twin disc clutch has been installed since we installed my stage 5 sprung clutch in @2twistedwrx EM2. -@speedfactoryracing shift springs have been installed in the trans along with the LSD! -aaaaaand as you can see, the motor and trans have been installed into the chassis with the new upgraded @hasportmounts! The Shiney billet aluminum mounts are looking wicked in the engine bay! 😎 Thanks to @garage16 for always hooking it up with having the parts in stock when we need them! Well folks, we officially have LSD in the #moneypit transmission!! While the transmission is out of the car I decided to pull apart the trans for inspection and installation of LSD I picked up a while ago! Also installed the speedfactory drag spec shift springs as well! Should give the car a whole new feel when banging gears plus added traction! No more one wheel peels! Big changes have been happening to the car and I look forward to seeing how it preforms once it's back together running again! Time to get back on track with the #moneypit. Been a while since I've touched it. Definitely needing some turbo therapy right now! Installed a spare set of wheels I have and the fitment actually looks nice! Took out the stock EK subframe and will be installing a EG subframe/steering rack to be able to run EKK2 mounts. Ended up having to make a mount from some scrap metal laying around for the steering rack as the OEM ones are now discontinued. Just waiting for some bushings to arrive for the new EG lower control arms and then it'll be installed in the car. Also, installed the NRG quick release hub and adapter that I've had for a while now. Definitely makes it a lot nicer to get in and out of the car with how low the seats are for my height! Well, after a thunderstorm and rain rolled in this morning. It made the track wet, muddy and slippery! By the end of the race there was massive ruts in the mud sections of the bush and exposed what felt like every root there could possibly ever be! Walton was such a fun track. Never been here before, but I enjoyed every section of it! Definitely looking forward to this event next year! Folks! We also managed a 4th place finish out of 27 in my class and 42nd out of 128 overall!! The KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM is closer to being on the podium peeps! We are getting there, we just gotta keep pushing for it! Also, huge shout out to @2twistedwrx for being my moto girl and helping me at each and every race! And taking the photos/vids for me! While waiting for parts for customers machines. @2twistedwrx and I tackled a ton of car things this weekend! Tore down my donor motor for the crank that was in great shape! Then it was building my #moneypit motor back up! All new @kingbearings and @drag_cartel timing guides plus new OEM honda guides as well! Should hopefully not have a timing chain guide failure for a very very looong time now!! So stoked to have this beast back together again! Thanks to @garage16 for always having the parts needed in stock! Hit them up for your performance parts needs! @2twistedwrx and I got the Kswapped EM2 up and running yesterday!! Been running into a lot of issues that we've been sorting out and a major one was that the car would inconsistently idle and it was very very hard to start, plus the AFR's were always all over the place when it did start. After fighting everything we decided to remove the eBay intake manifold and throttle body from the car (came with the car) and installed the PRB intake manifold and stock throttle body. Blocked off a bunch of ports that were not needed and then played with the tune a little aaaaaaand snap crackle pop, the car now starts with ease, idles consistently on its own, aaaaand most of all, it now drives!! Not sure if anyone can tell, but Pearl was a very happy camper that her car now drives as this is the first time she's been able to actually drive it down the road! Now to keep tackling the list of things to do so we can get this car to a track day! Well today the KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM Team traveled to RJ MOTORSPORTS for our first @offroadontario.ca event! (couldn't make the first race) We couldn't have asked for better weather today! Ya a little dusty at times, but the sun was shining and that's all that matters! Didn't have the greatest start, but managed to pull off a 7th place finish in my class of 32 riders at the end of the 2 hour XC race! Also placed an overall 72nd out of 174 riders! Thank you to my pit crew and cheer leaders that tagged along today! Little man climbed right on up on the bike on his own and wanted to go racing himself! Thinking we have a future racer on our hands! Also, you'll see a beautiful lady (aka @2twistedwrx) beside my dirty after race self (me rockin the mullet hard lol) Looking forward to the next event already!! This week just hasn't been my week! First the truck started having a wicked vibration on my way home from Toronto Sunday when turning and pulls the steering wheel out of your hands. Which after looking into it, it looks like I gotta pull the front end all apart on the truck, so while waiting to do this on a weekend I've been driving the #moneypit to work, up until today!! She started to run hot, and run rough, then oil pressure dropped down to 14psi, even dropped to 5psi and would die at idle. Then came the rod knock! Went to crappy tire for some oil to top up the motor, but all I can get out of the car is 25psi of oil pressure (which it should be more then double that) and the more the car ran the louder the knock was getting! Luckily I made it home! @2twistedwrx and I had a productive weekend and got some things done on both of our cars! Installed my new @speedfactoryracing battery mount in the bumper instead of being in the trunk! Much cleaner and tucked out of the way as well! I always love the no bumper look on the hatch! With lots of tuning on Pearl's EM2 and finding a bad new thermostat causing overheating issues. We were finally able to get the car to run smooth and actually drive it a little better till the car ran out of fuel! (Which is why it was revving high pulling into the driveway!)
