Theory: Chamber Wasn’t Always Rich

Proposing a theory out of Chamber’s “I’ve done more with less” voiceline

He probably grew up lower to middle class and had to work his way up early in life

Would explain his childish voice lines when getting kills too (prolly didn’t get to be a kid long enough)

Was a lanky nerd as a kid (still is now, just more stylish)

Wiki says he was in the French military then became PMC. Only possible reasons I could think of as to why he got out of the military young is either illness or some violation that got him discharged (like idk weapons smuggling?)

Read somewhere that PMCs often have less income and benefits compared to military people unless you’re really reputable (which is why I doubt that he quit the military for this), so unless he was some prodigy marksman he prolly lived off small contract-based income, not a regular one

People who book PMCs are either military bodies in need of manpower, or high-profile people who need guards for property or themselves (or yes some dirty work too), so what if that’s how he got his connections to Kingdom Defense?

Prolly got more money once his rep as a good PMC marksman soared, or when he was already working for Kingdom, and that’s when he started spending on expensive stuff like his clothes because he didn’t get the chance to when he was younger

Fusses so much about his looks because he really, really spent on that. And because he can now.

Idk i really think old money kiddoes are not as flamboyant as he is (they seem a lil more lowkey), and being brutally frank, he doesn’t have that naivety/dissonance that comes from growing up with a silver spoon
