Media and techniques
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I draw a yellow pansy and used line, texture and colour media and techniques.
I really like to use fine liner pens so enjoyed line and texture one. I used the same pens but depends on the shade I put these drawings are totally different.
I like the bold appearance of black lines too. Feels like no excuse for bad mistakes.
Colour one, I used the water colour paint. Maybe I should use smaller brush next time for more details.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also tried digital drawing. The brushes which I used was the one which you gave it to us so it was interesting to try new texture.

Colour
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time about colors. I used calligraphy ink, fountain pen and brush like last time.
I love the way the ink blurred. I learned from your lesson that I don’t have to draw perfectly. So I more relax and enjoy drawings.
Making colour graduations and fading was a bit challenging but managed well.

These are hand drawing with calligraphy inks. I really enjoyed using a fountain pen for drawing. The line is so delicate and sometimes I used brush for the larger area.it’s good show the depth of color as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I did some experiments with digital. Flip function is so cool to make nice work to make and so easy.
I love this dandelion image and I could change colors next time or I can use this for my screen printing!

Texture and pattern
Tumblr media
Showing the depth and texture was quite difficult with normal color pencils. I needed more color pencil color variations. I can see the big difference between adding fine liner pen about texture and pattern. These are much more interesting and clear.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I used a fine liner pen and watercolor this time, too.
I like the fine liner pen because I can draw small details really well. Flowers proposition and patterns are very well balanced. Very impressive!
I couldn’t do well with tulips leaves to show depth but I think flower parts are really good.

I used pencil and watercolor for 2nd artwork. It’s nice to use different media so I can pick up good points of them and use it.
Sometimes it’s difficult and take times to do tones. I think it will work with bold approach.

Outcome 3 - Produce Developmental Drawings
Jellyfish symbolizes energetic flow, entanglement, and Reiki.
I checked some Jellyfishes x-rays and did This sketch with ballpoint pen.
Tumblr media
I did the marbling on some blank paper before so decided to mix up with this jellyfish drawing.
I used Ibis paint X.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really like the blue marbling one which looks like they are in the sea and able to show their slow and elegant movements.
I also enjoyed to using a lot of different digital effects.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the lesson, I’ve got an idea about octopus as well. I thought drawing all body of octopus is boring so, just choose their legs and sketch by hand. And digitally mix both legs together. It looks totally new creature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last two are slightly different, I prefer the one which blue colour is stronger because make this more energetic and dramatic.

Outcome 3 - Produce Developmental Drawings
My son is really interested in beard dragon and I also think their looking would give me some different style which I normally do so I decided to draw it.
I use a ball point pen to draw this.
Tumblr media
First, I use procreate and did simple line drawings. I thought their eyes give me strong story for the self so, draw line around eye and made people focus on it.
Tumblr media
I like this background very much. It is very cheerful and funky very suit to this beard dragon. I still wanted focus on the eye so this time use a circle shape for a change. Then, it looks very nice! I’m very happy with this result.
Tumblr media
This one was inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat.
I’ve never been to his exhibition but I heard his exhibition was huge great success in Japan. I wish I could visit there!
It’s surprise me that simple colorful lines make totally different type of arts! Very bold and powerful!
Tumblr media
I wanted to do different approach for this beard dragon.
I thought it would be fun to make patterns with it. It’s kind of mad idea but looks quite cool.
I tried different colors and effects also combine with earlier designs.

Outcome 3 - Produce Developmental Drawings
First, I decided to draw a Fox from a photo and draw a fox’s skull. I used Sumie ink and Japanese calligraphy brush for a change of texture and colour. This ink is quite easy to tone like dark or light colour.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Step 2 :
Using an app called Procreate and mix up these 2 drawings.
I like the contrast of black and white lines. Very bold and have strong impact. I just put bone layer on the fox’s face drawing. Background is very rough and it’s really suit this aggressive image.
Tumblr media
For this one, I used only fox’s skull drawing. I changed the sizes and angles then put couple of them. It looks like a little bit dinosaur’s fossils. Close up the one tiny bit of drawing makes interesting new creatures.I also enjoyed a splash of blue on this in the end.
Tumblr media
This time, I used one of my fox’s mask drawing one did before and fox’s face drawing.
Piled up these two created a new creature. More serious and mysterious looking which I like. I also can see this as tamed animal to humans.
People’s eyes go to these red ears and because of red and white it gives a feeling of celebration.
I wanted play with background so,used thunderbolts.
Tumblr media
This is a bit strange one. I wanted make a totally different work from others.
I redraw fox’s face with using line drawing style and cartoon style of squirrel on this. I wanted to show the fox has eaten cute squirrel.
Background I draw a fox in Japanese words and modern typography. (キツネ)

I feel a bit strange about Skelton looking fox masks but lines are dynamic and quite like it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like Escher so I used one of his artwork and crop and made a digital collage with this.
I got aJapanese kimono pattern image from internet then made a collage. Very mysterious.
