I love this fic so much, and if you like cuckolding (or the fantasy thereof), you should definitely give this one a read!

The whole sex scene is simultaneously hot as hell and completely heart-breaking, because at the end of the day, Tony is not Steve's (although in my mind they do get together after this). I adore this fic, and I bet you will too, so please give it a shot!

Reasons why I love it: Steve and Tony really do fit together like puzzle pieces. Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 61,683 Tags: Subspace, References to Non-Con, Past Abuse

Summary: SHIELD has found a way to make Project Rebirth work - something Tony's father was never able to accomplish. An unexpected side effect has Fury begging Tony for some rather unusual help: the painful procedure has put their volunteer, a sub called Steve Rogers, so deep into subspace he can't come up on his own.

Reasons why I love it: The BDSM fic to end all BDSM fics. Tony and Steve are both incredibly sympathetic characters in this. My heart breaks every time I reach a certain point in the fic, and the slow mending of that pain keeps me coming back to re-read it over and over again. Ferret truly is a master at writing these kinds of dynamics. This is definitely one of my favorite fics in this fandom, so if you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend that you do so.

Reasons why I love it: This series is easily one of my favorite things in the Steve/Tony tag on AO3. I especially love all the kinksploration, and Steve's well-grounded interest in giving himself over to Tony is really engaging. I adore all of the different kinks at play, and the plot going on in the background is fantastic too. In short, I would recommend this to anyone, because it's fantastic and deserves all the love it can get.

He’ll report directly to me,” Fury says. “As it is, your identity as Captain America is not public knowledge and it will remain that way until I say otherwise. That said, if you think you can get Tony Stark to work with you if you disclose that information, you have permission to do so.”

Reasons why I love it: Tony being a bit of a bastard actually works really well for the set-up of this series, and he's considerate enough that he comes off as hot as fuck instead of giving off douchebag vibes. I adore how shaenie describes Steve's thoughts and feelings during their first encounter, and holy fuck, the smut is scorchingly hot, I love it. This is the perfect start to this series, and it got me hooked right away!

Next I go to Seven Gates (each step less a mystery)

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 22,766 Tags: Kink Negotiation, Breathplay, Clever Steve

Summary: The truth is, he can’t wait to see Tony again. Even more truthful, he’s fiercely hopeful that Tony is still interested in their half-engineered agreement. Tony sounds like it, but he tries to keep his expectations low. Nobody has to tell him that Tony Stark can be fickle. It doesn’t change the fact that he craves Tony’s touch, even after having it just that once, and he doesn’t see any reason not to take what Tony is offering as long as Steve doesn’t forget exactly what that is.

Reasons why I love it: Oh my god, okay, Steve knowing exactly what he wants despite his inexperience is so fucking hot, holy shit. His take on who is 'manipulating' who in this relationship is so good, and I adore how much Tony revels in the fact that Steve can keep up with him intellectually. Also, the smut is fantastic and everything I never knew I wanted. Do yourself a favor and read it!

Will You Strike While He's Still Loading

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 29,199 Tags: Impact Play, Sex Toys, Ironman Suit Kink

Reasons why I love it: All the scenes with that goddamn sex toy are amazing, holy shit. The thought of Tony building something like that for Steve is so good, I love it. And that scene is the playroom is absolute perfection. I love how much Steve trusts Tony to figure out what his preferences are, and the actual smut is incredibly well-written. I love this one so much, I can't even tell you.

We've Done this Before (as Mars Sauntered Through His Door)

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 32,875 Tags: Impact Play, Sex Toys, Dirty Talk

Summary: “Why’re you awake?” Steve wonders out loud. “I don’t have what anyone would call regular sleeping habits,” Tony says, lips curling a little. “There’s some stuff in the workshop I want to get done.” “Mmm,” Steve says. “You could have gone.” He’s pretty sure he means it; he’d half expected to wake up alone this morning anyway. “I wanted a look at your back,” Tony says. Steve wriggles over onto his front. The lights brighten a little in the room, and Tony’s hands slip easily down his back, and then flip the covers down so that he can continue down Steve’s ass. “I don’t know if I’m disappointed or excited,” Tony says. Reasons why I love it: I love Steve's interactions with the other Avengers in this. It's great to see the team come together more and more. And of course, jealousy-fuled reaffirming sex is always hot as hell, even (especially?) when it's preluded by that remote-controlled toy making a reappearance. God damn, I love this 'verse so much.

You've Never Looked So Sane

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 27,348 Tags: Breathplay, Subspace, Painplay

Summary: Fury stares at him for another few seconds, but then just nods tightly. “Coulson’s right. I’m not surprised that he can do it. But we haven’t been able to figure out why.” “He’ll tell us when he gets here,” Steve says. Coulson and Fury both look at him. “He wouldn’t do it without a reason. He certainly didn’t have to leave you with a message that Stark Industries is responsible for locking down your systems, but he did. He hasn’t contacted us with a reason, which means he doesn’t think he can do it by phone or computer. The countdown has to be his ETA.” Coulson relaxes marginally; Fury merely looks thoughtful. The countdown is showing thirty-two seconds.

Reasons why I love it: I love the plot sneaking its way in here. The action is great, and the team dynamics are super engaging. Plus, the smut that follows it is incredible, as is par for the course with this series, to be honest. Armor kink is one of my favorites, and Jesus Christ is it done well in this fic. I love it so much, and I bet you will too!

You're Walking the Wire (between pain and desire)

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 39,908 Tags: Safewords, Aftercare, Bloodplay

Summary: “JARVIS, do a soft and hard line sweep of the entire tower and a two block radius for redline equipment.” “Yes, Sir,” JARVIS says. “What does that mean?” Steve asks. “It means we both got a call to report to SHIELD thirty seconds after we started talking about the other potential members of the Initiative,” Tony says. “That doesn’t strike you as an unlikely coincidence?”

Reasons why I love it: And thus the Avengers are assembled! That scene with the Hulk really warms my heart, and Steve getting all jealous over Tony and Bruce being instant science bros is adorable. The fact that it leads into amazingly hot smut – and wow, that whole bit where Tony helps Steve shift back into a submissive mindset is fucking brilliant – is just the cherry on top. This fic is the perfect ending to a fantastic series that I'll come back to over and over. Definitely check it out if you haven't already, I promise you won't regret it!

Summary: A year after their captivity, Steve and Tony reclaim the rest of their lives together.

Reasons why I love it: Oooh, all the Red Zone feels! I love everything to do with the collar in this, from Tony lovingly crafting it to how much it means to Steve. And of course, the actual scene is beyond beautiful. This fic is fantastic – as is the one this is a sequel of, if you're inclined to read both – and I highly recommend it!

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 46,153 Tags: Pain Play, Internalized Homophobia, Scene Gone Wrong

Summary: It isn’t until Tony watches Steve lean into the punch that he thinks oh, this is going to be a problem. -- Steve’s taking hits on purpose in the field, so Tony suggests a safer option. It's simple: Tony smacks Steve around, Steve gets the pain fix he’s looking for, everyone leaves happy. Things do not stay simple. The one with repressed masochist Steve and sadist Tony and everyone getting off on pain a whole bunch.

Reasons why I love it: This fic is one of my favorite things. In all of fandom. Ever. Steve stoically trying to deny himself what he actually wants, Tony teasing it out of him anyway, the impact play, Steve's issues with his sexuality, all of it – I can't get enough. There are too many fantastic things to list them here, and I wouldn't want to spoil them anyway, so please do yourself a favor and read this one for yourself. It's beyond worth it.

Summary: The year is 1982, and Steve Rogers, Captain America and working commercial artist, is living in Brooklyn and trying to make it on his own. So when a bank error leaves him unable to make rent, he does what anyone else would do in this situation: he accidentally gets a job drawing erotic illustrations for a gay bondage porn magazine. It turns out that pornography's not a bad way to make a living. The money's decent, the work is unexpectedly fulfilling, and if many of the men Steve draws bear a certain resemblance to Tony Stark, so what? No one's going to know Steve's in love with Tony. It's not like Tony's ever going to see it. What are the odds that Tony buys gay bondage porn magazines? Tony, meanwhile, is newly sober in the wake of the death of the Carnelian ambassador, and life's been rough for him lately. He's recently single, he's desperately lonely, and he's pining after a tragically-straight teammate he can't have. At least he can show himself a good time. But what he'd really like to know is why the guy painted on the cover of this adult magazine looks so familiar.

Reasons why I love it: I have a huge thing for Steve being an artist, and the descriptions of how he looks at, creates and thinks about his work are really satisfying to me. Then there's the way the whole fic ties into actual real life events and how the period-typical homophobia affects both Steve and Tony in their expressions of self. And of course, Sineala once again knocks it out of the park with the way they come together in the end, with a huge emotional pay-off and some really amazing, cathartic smut. Not to mention how accepting and loving Steve is in the face of Tony's health issues. This fic is wonderful in so many ways, and I especially enjoyed Sal as a character, who unexpectedly stole my heart in the epilogue. I love this one so much! Reasons why I love it: Superior Ironman is always a win in dark fic, especially coupled with old man Rogers. This fic portrays Tony's descent into his inhumane self so well, and oh my god, I just want to give Steve a hug. The writing is amazing, and I hope you go and give it a read for yourself.

Reasons why I love it: Their conversation is so well-written. I love the way it escalates and gets disrupted at the end, it really ratchets up the tension. And Hydra Cap's final words to Tony, sheesh, those hit deep. This fic is fantastic, and you should definitely read it!

Reasons why I love it: This one is just beautifully awful. I love how the torture Steve inflicts is juxtaposed with his calm, almost kind demeanor. And oh my god, poor Tony still loving the Steve he used to know is the saddest thing ever. I love this one, so please go and check it out!

An Empty Hell by Diomedes

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 9,668 Tags: Unhealthy Relationships, Body Horror, Open Ending

Summary: Tony was the one who got them stranded in this barren, strangely empty place so it was his responsibility to get them back home. The only problem was: he literally couldn't remember how to do that. The landscape was horrendously beautiful, like no Hell Tony could have ever hoped to deserve.

Reasons why I love it: This fic feels so poetic and sad. Before I even read the tags, the title made me think of Dante's Inferno, and I really love the inspiration that this fic took from it. The writing style is amazing, and the pictures Diomedes paints with their words are incredibly beautiful. In short, go and read this fic, because it's wonderful!

Reasons why I love it: Oh my fucking god, that ending?? My heart is crushed, holy shit. So many lines get crossed, there's so much agony, not just physical but emotional, and it kept my eyes glued to my screen the entire time. This fic HURTS, and if you can handle it, I highly recommend it!

Summary: In another world, on another Earth, the Superhuman Civil War has a darker, bloodier end.

Reasons why I love it: I've always been fascinated by the Civil Warrior, and this take on his story just breaks my heart. That scene after he first uses the reality gem - chills. I love those last few paragraphs more than I can say. This fic is amazing, and I hope you check it out for yourself!

Reasons why I love it: Jesus Christ, this fic is P-A-I-N-F-U-L. If you like to suffer, this is definitely the one for you. I loved every second of it - the Tony whump, his hallucinations, that ending - it's all brilliant. If you can handle some graphic violence and heart-shattering angst, then definitely give this one a shot!

Summary: No one is coming, he thinks. Tony is busy, and even if he wasn't - Steve has been discarded. He never ranked first, did he. He doesn't know what he was to Tony beyond convenient. Reasons why I love it: Pain. I am in pain. This fic perfectly encapsulates all the complexities of Steve and Tony's relationship, all the betrayal and hurt hanging over their heads. Everything about this fic just breaks my heart in the best possible way. Definitely give this one a read, it's amazing!

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Reasons why I love it: I like to call this one the "wholesome cannibalism fic". Seems like it might be a juxtaposition, but I promise you, it's not. The reasoning behind Steve's issues and actions is really sympathetic, and I love how it ties into the kinkier sides of this fic. Also, Tony's reaction to what Steve is doing feels very real and in character. This fic is lovely, so if you can stomach - haha - some self-harm and cannibalism, I highly encourage you to give it a try.

What Rough Beast by immoral_crow

This fic is amazing, and I highly encourage you to read it!

Summary: Steve and Bucky were trapped together behind enemy lines in 1944. Bucky was badly injured, and for days Steve fed him the only way he could with no supplies on hand but a sharp knife. Bucky didn't understand what was happening at the time, and afterward there was never a good time to tell him--but now that Steve knows what he really did for Bucky, the secret is going to have to come out.

Reasons why I love it: If I had a dollar for every time I read wholesome cannibalism fic, I'd have two, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. The reasoning behind the cannibalism in this fic is so emotional, especially on the second go around. And oh my god, Bucky just breaks my heart here. I adore this fic, and I hope you give it a shot yourself!

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 5,220 Tags: Pedophilia, Past Non-Con, Child Abuse

Summary: Steve has a terrible secret. One he'll never act upon. He never acts on these desires, but he struggles with them, because he knows how wrong they are.

Reasons why I love it: This fic is really hard to read, but it's some incredible food for thought. The whole subject is handled very delicately and dare I say ethically, and I loved seeing a perspective that isn't obvious at first glance. Which is why I think this fic is very important, even outside of fandom. If you read this one, let me know what you think, because I'm very curious how other people might interpret this fic.

Boring, but he knew it could be worse. Unfortunately, it does become much worse for him when he encounters one of the most infamous serial killers in U.S. history and is swept up into his world. Steve must now do his best to survive and maintain his sanity, all the while trying to figure out what his captor really wants.

Reasons why I love it: Reading this fic feels like watching a movie. Steve's mental slide from fear to pity to some Stockholm-syndromed version of affection is fascinating to watch, as is the way his relationship with Bucky develops. I love the roles that the other Avengers were given as well, Natasha as the lead detective especially. And the surprise appearance of Tony later on is brilliant. I adore this fic, and if you like twisted stories, then I bet you will too!

Reasons why I love it: I couldn't tell where this one was going at all, so the reveal at the end hit me hard. It's so good, holy fuck, I love this one. Definitely give it a read!

My Town Was A Wasteland

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: T Words: 1,422 Tags: Vampires, Rituals, Howard Stark's A+ Parenting

Summary: Howard wants to raise the dead. Even if it's at the expense of his own son. It backfires spectacularly.
