I don't know who needs to hear this but your brain is lying to you and you don't need to wait until there's a round number on the clock to go the fuck to bed or start that project or eat a meal.
Get up and do it now.

29/206 bones complete!
I might end up redoing some of the toe phalanges because I'm not super happy with them but we'll see how I'm feeling a month or two from now when I actually get to that point lol

I resurface from the void!! Uni hasn't killed me yet!! And of course, I come with another massive project to take on (but this time I'm working on it with other people!)
Come with me on my journey to crochet a life-sized anatomically correct skeleton. Every single bone, every single ligament
Behold, some phalanges
This whole project is based on Luca Hodgin's design which can be found here!
Thanks to CAMIT for funding the whole project <3

Wow!!! It looks gorgeous!
Progress.
I’m somewhere around row 120 out of 152. The end is near, and I think I’ll be handily winning this game of yarn chicken. Will I have enough beads tho? Questionable.
Hoping to have it all finished by my birthday (Monday) so I can get started on one I’ve been putting off for a hot minute.

Final update!! After almost exactly one year and over 70 hours of work, I managed to finish the shawl in time as a gift for my mom! I'm so proud of how it turned out
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice along the way!!
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!!
I'm working on a shawl!! This is my second big project since making the sweater a few years back, and already I can tell that I'm much more confident in my abilities and much more skilled.
It'll still take me like a year but it'll be an improvement on last time! Especially if I work on it during the summer
It's going to have a gradient and I'm so excited!!!

Update x2! Holiday Edition
Yeah.... I though I would finish this before summer started. Alas!
Turns out, uni life isn't very conducive to spending hours knitting. Never fear! I've been knitting like crazy during winter break, and I aim to finish the shawl by Christmas!
All that's left now is a crochet picot edge and blocking!
Progress pics: (it's getting very hard to show the whole shawl on the circular needles)
I'm concerned that the shawl is too small, because I didn't use nearly as much yarn as the pattern said to, even though I made a gauge (I know right? Wild) Hoping that I can block it to loosen it up and make it bigger. Nothing I can do about it now!
Also, the edge patterns assume right-handed crochet. Being a lefty, this is quite the predicament...

I finally made some knitting memes again. College is kicking my butt.
Actually, "university" sounds so much cooler and it is actually a university, so...
University is kicking my butt.
But now people will think I'm not American.
Is that a bad thing?
Whatever. Enjoy your memes, heathens.

god my favorite part of knitting/crocheting/etc is watching string become fabric. crumpling it in my hands. this fabric would've never existed had I not willed it into being. it isn't fabric, it's time made physical. made material. isn't that the high of crafting? you mold time between your hands and put it into other people's hands. my least favorite part is when my cat tries to cram the whole yarn ball into his mouth
