On Bad Pickup Lines and Osculation - XigLux (600 Words)
Xigbar strolled through the halls of the Castle That NeverWas, whistling a tune he had heard the hero Sora singing on one of hisreconnaissance missions. He passed the Grey Area but wheeled back, his songdying. He grinned devilishly.
The man looked around to confirm nobody was near, andsauntered into the room, stalking his prey.
Luxord sat facing the window, reading a book.Completely oblivious to the predator creeping up behind him. Too oblivious.Xigbar instead opted for seductively flopping down onto the couch next toLuxord, who barely flinched at the sudden presence of the other Nobody.
“Suh, babe,” he chirped.
Luxord turned the page. “You’re barking up the wrongtree, mate.”
Xigbar snorted. “I don’t think so, mate.Because you,” he walked his fingers up Luxord’s chest,“are the only one who would reciprocate it.”
Luxord feigned disinterest and he continued to peruse thepage. “I oppose the notion.”
Time to try a different approach.
“Da-a-amn, gurl! Did you fall from heaven? Cuz you fineas hell!”
Luxord slammed his book shut. His face almost cracked, buthe somehow managed to keep his composure. “That…that didn’t even makesense, you wazzock!”
“Is your daddy a baker? Cuz I’m loving thosebuns!”
Luxord shook his head and got up from the couch.
“Somebody, quick! Call God! I just found one of Hislost angels!” Xigbar shouted.
Luxord slammed his book down onto the table as Larxenewalked in. “What’d you say, Two?”
Xigbar opened his mouth but was cut off by Luxord, whointerjected, “Nothing. He was just being an imbecile, as per usual.”
“I called Luxord an angel.”
Larxene raised an eyebrow, accompanied by a wicked grin.“Careful, Lux. Seems like you’ve got a secret admirer.”
“Yeah, well, he’s not so secret, now is he?”
The woman turned on her heel and exited the room, cacklinglike the vixen she was.
A moment of blissful silence endured before, “Dang, girl. I’m gay, but you might just turn me straight.”
Luxord clenched his fists and turned to the other man, whowas resting his arms on the back of the sofa, gazing at him seductively.
He took a deep breath. “Mate, you’re talking to a man. This doesn’t make you straight.”
“I can live with that.” He got up from the couchand swaggered over to the other man, then began to rub his shoulders.“Tired of my stupid pickup lines?”
“Yes.”
“‘Kay, I’ll switch gears.” He wrapped his armsaround the man’s waist and rested his chin on his shoulder. “I’m taking ahuge gamble here—one of your favorite pastimes—but you’re pretty cute. And youraccent is sexy.”
Seeing as how Xigbar couldn’t see his face, Luxord allowedhimself a small smile accompanied by a blush (which he didn’t allow).“Damn you, Xigbar. When I’m around you, I can’t think straight.”
It took a moment, but soon Xigbar began to chuckle at theclever joke.  "Alright! You got me.I surrender to you, O Immaculate One!“ He nuzzled Luxord’s neck with hisnose.
"That…doesn’t really fit the context, but your attemptat shrewd dialect is laudable.”
Xigbar smirked. “Now you’re just beingobfuscatory.”
Luxord made and impressed face. “Hmm, pretty good. Thatwas pretty good.”
“Thanks, bae.” He sounded rather pleased withhimself. “Does that mean we can osculate now?”
Luxord rolled his eyes, but turned his head to oblige.Xigbar caught the other man’s lips with his own. The moved together for amoment then broke apart.
“Very satisfactory osculation,” Xigbar teased.
“Shut up.”
And he pulled him in for another round ofosculation.

Wherever You Go, I’ll Follow - Rokushi
"So, when you crack your skull open and need a ride to the hospital, call Axel, cuz I don't give a care," Xion said as she eyed her best friend Roxas trying to hang from the swing upside down.
"Aww, c'mon, Shi!" Roxas's voice sounded stuffy from hanging upside down. "If I fall and crack my head open, you need to kiss it better, okay?"
Xion blushed and buried her hands even further into her oversized hoodie's pockets. "...Baka." She kicked sand up into Roxas's face.
He coughed and twisted around to avoid anymore sand.
The swing's chains were wrapped around Roxas's arms in an attempt to suspend him in the air. He trembled slightly at having to hold himself up and his light freckles stood out against the red in his face caused by the blood rush. He also had his legs wrapped around the upper part of the chains to try to stabilize his body, to keep movement to a minimum. He really looked like a dork, Xion thought, sticking his tongue out in concentration while graity pulled his shirt down. She tried to ignore the bit of stomach that was showing from under his falling shirt.
"You're such a tsundere, Xion!" Roxas laughed as he swung back around to face her. "Just admit you love me already!" He made kissy faces at her and sing-songed her name.
Her face visibly filled up with red. Fire spewed from her nostrils and she kicked Roxas in the stomach. "BAKA!" she shouted. Roxas toppled over and fell in the sand, arms still entangled in the swing chain. "BAKA! BAKA! BAKA!" Xion stomped away from Roxas, still shouting insults as her face burned. Why her? What had she done to deserve this? Oh, poor Xion, she wished she could just curl up into a ball and die. Did he think this was a joke? toying with her emotions like this. It wasn't her fault he was so cute...with a stupid laugh like that, any girl would act as she had.
...Right?
Poor Roxas tried to get a grip on the world. His head swam from the sudden blood loss. Regardless, he started chuckling. He hadn't been able to get that much of a reaction out of her since they were kids. She was cute when she got mad. Roxas felt guilty for making her that embarrassed, but he would make up for it.
He haphazardly untangled himself from the swing and strolled over to join Xion. She had her scarf pulled up over the lower half of her face and was looking away from Roxas, toward the sea. To their right, the boardwalk bustled with life and twinkled in iridescent tones in the dying light of the day.
"Have you thought about what school you're going to in the fall, Shi?" he inquired offhand.
"Of course, I have, baka. It's kind of a big deal, high school."
"I know, I just mean...I guess I'm really asking if you've chosen a school yet.”
She stared at the horizon, silent for a moment. “I don’t know. I guess...I mean, I’m not really good enough to go to anything other than a public school, so I guess I’ll just go to Twilight Town High. It is the closest to my house.”
Roxas nodded. “Well, wherever you go, I’ll follow.”
“You don’t need to do that!” Xion turned to him. “You’re smart. You’re talented. You could make it in one of those performing art schools. You shouldn’t pass up a chance like that just to follow your osananajimi.”
Roxas cocked his head. “My what?”
“It means ‘childhood friend’,” Xion explained impatiently. “All these years around me, you’d think you would’ve picked up some Japanese.”
“I have!” Roxas defended. “Watch: you’re very kawaii!”
Without missing a beat, Xion’s arm shot out and struck Roxas’s arm, accompanied by the obligatory “baka”. Roxas chuckled and rubbed his arm.
They stood in silence, staring at the dark horizon. The sun’s light could still be seen, but the sun itself was long gone. The sky was painted in beautiful indigos and violets with a dash of azure. They could hear the garbled babbling of chatter and shrieks of joy from the boardwalk.
“I will follow you, Xion. No matter what you say.” She continued to stare in silence. Roxas grinned mischievously and took advantage of the opportunity. He leaned over and pecked her cheek. Then promptly began to run for his life, cackling like he just won the game of life.
Xion rocketed after Roxas, engulfed in a ball of flame. The warmth of the boardwalk enveloped them, losing them in the crowd.

A Midsummer Sunset’s Dream - SoKai
Kairi licked her sea salt ice cream, her fingers intertwined with Sora's. Light from the golden sunset skipped on the surface of the rolling water.
The couple reclined on the beach of the island they had spent their childhood on. Her hair was still wet from when they had swam earlier.
She took another lick.
Life was good.
Kairi glanced over at Sora. He caught her eye and grinned. She grinned back and squeezed his hand tighter, then rested her head on his shoulder.
"Life is good, y'know?" Sora broke the silence of the rising tide.
Kairi nodded her head. "With you? Life's always good."
Sora chuckled. "Aw, shucks. You make me all blushy."
Kairi laughed too, a good, real laugh. The first one like that in a while. "I love being here with you," she said softly.
Sora released her hand in favor of wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "...I love it too. I mean, I love being here with you, too, not..." He sighed. "Just ignore me."
She laughed again.
Water lapped against their ankles. Somehow, it seemed like the sun just refused to go down. It stayed just above the horizon, coloring the sky red and turning the sea to liquid gold. A soft breeze ruffled the palm trees and danced through Kairi's hair. The salt on the air burned her nostrils in the best way. Everything was perfect.
Sora softly chuckled through his nose.
Kairi sat up. "What?"
Sora showed her his now clean popsicle stick which read "Winner".
"Congratulations," Kairi said, raising an impressed eyebrow.
Sora tossed the stick in the ocean. Maybe it would wash away and end up in Twilight Town, where some lucky soul would find it and trade it in for a prize.
"Thanks," Sora said, "but I was a winner before I had that stick.”
He cupped Kairi's face gently and brought her lips to his own. Kairi settled into the warmth and security of Sora's kiss.
Yep, she thought as they settled back into the sand comfortably. Everything is definitely perfect.

Last Love - A Kingdom Hearts Drabble
"I'm coming!" Sora shouted as he left the couch. He flung the front door open. The frigid air outside revealed Roxas. He had a far-off look in his eyes, like he was confused as to why he wasn't warm at home.
"Roxas, what are you doing here?"
"I'm sorry, Sor." Roxas sounded like he was crying, but his eyes remained wide open, like he was scared. He reached out a hand and cupped Sora's face. "I always loved you, you know." He turned and walked down the dark street. "I did. But then," he disappeared into the darkness, "I died."
