alright anon, you asked for it.

so tenandra wasnt a traditional relationship. and i wouldnt expect it to be, considering 10ks background, and cassandras experiences. 

they werent just together. 

10k, as far as we know, has not told anyone else his real name. not even doc, who is his father figure. but he told cassandra. at some point, he told her. that means a lot. 

i fully believe they loved each other, but i dont think it was the way mack and addy loved each other, or the way charlie and warren loved each other. they were more than that. 

they were each others person. they didnt have cheesy confessions of love, or lots of kisses. they had silent understanding. its obvious how much they cared for each other. 10k loved her innocently, and wholeheartedly. 

cassandra was with everyone in the group, excluding vasquez, the same amount of time. and yet, when she was bit, the only memories she had were of 10k. not memories, really, just a feeling. she stopped 10k from chasing after Red, because she wanted to protect him. when he found her in s2, and cupped her face, she looked like she wanted to know what he was doing. like something in her knew him, but so much had been taken over by the bite, it slipped away. the only person left after the bite was 10k, even if it was just a small piece in what was left of cassandras mind.

there are so many instances we see this silent relationship. when it first started in the car, and she grabbed his leg. when they were all tied together in that golf club, and she grabbed his arm immediately. when he picked her up and helped her walk on her injured leg. when he carried her through the lab. “im not leaving her. ill carry her if i have to.” the way he reacted when he saw her, right after being bitten. his reactions throughout the season. how hurt he was when he had to give her mercy.

tenandra was not traditional. they were not the epitome of a romantic relationship.

but they were real, and they happened, and they deserved a happier ending.
