My brain is tired today. I’ve decided knitting needles shall now be written as kneedles.
That will be all.

PSA for all the people who have a pet Fibre Artist, whether you have a Knitter, a Crocheter or perhaps one of the more rare breeds like Spinners and Lace-Makers, make sure that they take frequent breaks from their craft by playing with them and taking them on walks since Fibre Artists are prone to giving themselves RSIs and Carpal Tunnel when left to their own devices for too long!

I'm a really big fan of these Round Rug Coasters! They knit up really quickly, are ideal for using up scrap yarn, and if you whip out a set of four they can make a really easy last minute gift if you need one.
I'm sure there are a million projects like this, and of course I also am always up for learning about more.
Hope this helps!
Does anyone have easy knitting patterns that work up quickly? I'm itching to finish a knit project especially since all my current knit/crochet projects are really large...

That's literally so sweet to say! This pattern calls for one of my favorite hacks for a clean edge in garter stitch, which is to slip the first stitch of every row, producing edges that look like this:

Hope this helps! 💖

Whether at home knitting or at work sewing, I try to stop every forty-five minutes to an hour and do at least one of these stretches for about fifteen seconds at a time 💖
do any artists that follow me (or people of other vocations that involve fine work with one's hands) know any tips and tricks for preventing or dealing with hand pain/stiffness? context: i'm doing some lab work over the next few months that involves crushing dried mud in a mortar and i'm already starting to feel it :/

the problem with knitting is you measure your work it's 1 inch you do 8 more rows and it's 1/5 inch long you do 8 more rows and it's 1.1 inch long 🥲

“Bamboo is antifungal”
Because it’s rayon
“Eucalyptus fabric is cooling!”
Yeah, because it’s rayon
“We make clothing called seacell out of seaweed!”
Yeah I looked on your website it’s made by the lyocell process, which means-
-wait for it-
It’s fucking rayon!!
Listen. There is a list of actual plant fibers that are directly made into fabric: cotton, linen, ramie, some hemp. I’m sure I’m missing a couple.
But if you’re wondering “huh how did they turn that plant material into fabric,” 99% of the time? It’s RAYON.
All rayon is made by putting plant material in chemical soup, dissolving out everything but the cellulose, and turning the cellulose into filaments/fibers.
The source of the cellulose has zero effect on the eventual fabric.
Rayon made from bamboo or eucalyptus or seaweed is not any better than rayon from any other sources.
Don’t let companies mislead you!

I doing a school project all about yarn crafts (knitting, crochet are the main ones but any are welcome!) and was hoping people could help me out.
I appreciate you :) if you would like to answer more polls for me, check out my other posts (that’s the phrase I’m meant to use right?)
