Another Matt blurb. I still don’t know how to write very well so bare with me lmao. I just really feel like Matt would have warm hands? And he’d be a great hugger. So this fic is based on that pretty much. I know it’s very cheesy but apparently that’s all I know how to write. Anyways I hope you enjoy :)

It’s been cold lately in the city and you’ve been relying on warm teas and hot cocoas to keep you warm. Fuzzy sweaters and cozy scarfs, warm blankets to snuggle up with at home is a wonderful way to deal with the cold weather, however nothing beats Matt Murdock’s warm hands. You always tell him he’s your personal space heater, while he argues you’re his personal ice box.

Bundled in one of your favorite sweater of Matt’s and some fuzzy socks, you make your way around the kitchen making tea as you wait for Matt to come home from work. You love Matt’s apartment, staring out of the large windows at night, making dinner or breakfast with Matt in his kitchen, cuddling on the couch. You smile to yourself thinking about him. You knew of his past and his vigilante work, and you knew it was an important part of him. You always support him even when he’s broken and bruised. He loves that you don’t judge him for what he does, and he works hard to prove to you that he loves you and will do anything to protect you.

You finish making your tea while humming to the soft music playing. The front door opening catches your attention, hearing Matt shuffle in and placing his brief case down and taking off his jacket. He makes his way over to the kitchen and wraps his arms around you once he finds you, burying his face in your neck.

“Welcome home baby.” you mutter softly as you let him embrace you from behind. He places soft kisses on your neck as he inhales deeply, grounding himself in your scent. “Would you like some tea?” You ask turning your head slightly towards him.

“I just want to stand here with you right now darling. But maybe later?” He offers and you nod in agreement. “Alright Matty.” You smile and turn around to face him, wrapping your arms around his torso. You sigh contently into him, his body heat immediately warming you up.

“Did you miss me?” he jokes and you laugh.

“Of course, I missed my space heater” he chuckles at you and pretends to look offended.

“Ouch is that really all I am to you? A space heater?” He hugs you a bit tighter, letting you know he’s just teasing you.

“You know that’s not true, but I do love how warm you are. Your hands especially.” You say, grabbing ahold his hands and bringing them to your face. He grins at you.

“You got a thing about my hands do you?” He teases again and you roll your eyes at him.

“You know you haven’t kissed me yet, murdock? You’ve been home for nearly five minutes now.” You pout up at him slightly. “I haven’t? Well I better change that.” He says a playful smirk on his face. A smirk you’d never get tired of seeing. Leaning down he places a soft but loving kiss on your lips, you sigh melting into it. You love these moments with Matt. Just simplicity and calm. No judgment or worries.

“C’mon, let’s order some take out and I’ll get changed. Then we can sit on the couch and you can tell me about your day.” He suggests and you nod happily.

Once the food is ordered and he’s in more comfortable clothing, you both snuggle up on the couch while you read the book you have been reading together for the past couple nights. He loves to hear your voice, it relaxes him after a long day and he knows reading helps you relax as well.

“I love you,” he says, meaning it fully. You smile and cup his face, softly stroking his cheek with your thumb. “I love you too.”

I’ve never written a fanfic before so sorry if it sucks. I’m also not a writer at all but i love matt and domestic bliss type stuff so i thought id give it a go. I hope y’all enjoy this short blurb :) (side note i have no idea what perspective to write these things in lmao)

“Matt?” You called from the door way, toeing off your shoes. Today had been a stressful day at work, nothing seemed to go your way and all you needed right now was some warm tea and your boyfriend.

“Yes sweetheart? I’m on the couch” Matt said from the other room. You smiled upon hearing his voice, he always managed to calm you down instantly. Strolling to the couch you lazily slumped into the space next to him and nestled into his side. He lovingly wrapped his arm around you and kissed your forehead. “Tough day?” He asked. “Yeah, I have so many reports to do and I don’t want to worry about it right now.”

“How about we make some tea and I’ll order some takeout, then I’ll help you with your reports. Does that sound good?” He suggested, his hand lazily rubbing your shoulders to ease the tension of the day.

“That sounds wonderful. I love you, thank you Matty.” Looking into his eyes, you knew how much he loved and cared about you. His smile is so warm and vibrant, you always feel safe with him. You don’t know what you did to deserve such a wonderful person as your partner. 

“You’re welcome, I love you too sweetheart.” He kissed you softly, the both of you melting into it.

After making each of your teas and changing into more comfy attire, you worked your ways back to the couch and continued cuddling while waiting for the food to arrive. Those reports could wait a few more hours.
