so I've been seeing this tiktok trend where there's an aging filter. It takes a picture of you and makes you look older. And there's captions like "I tried 6 different pictures and I can't beleive it" or "this is my biggest fear" and I just don't understand? I think being old is beautiful and something to be treasured. All these "Stop drinking through straws, it'll give you wrinkles" are ridiculous to me. Bring it on. Let me be covered in creases and let my eyes droop and let my hair float like a pure white halo around my head. Especially as an LGBT person, "being old means we're still here". Being old means we survived, that we've had years and years of absorbing the Earth's magnificence and I just think that's beautiful, yk? Being old means we're still here. Being old means we survived. Being old is wonderful. Every stage of life deserves to be cherished. So im going to exclusively drink through straws, and laugh so much my smile lines look like the grand canyon and soak up the sun for days on end. I can't wait to be a nice old grandma :)
