Biblical Clouds shaped like a tsunami wave rolling in over the Atlantic! I set out to capture the sunset on Abbey Hill yesterday evening but did not expect this spectacular cloud formation. I can’t recall that I ever had a view from Abbey Hill like this. With the weather promising snow in the Burren I hiked up Mullaghmore and set up camp on top of Slieve Rua. After a calm but frosty night I took this shot the following morning. It was still dark enough to get some of blue hour, unfortunately no morning glow and no vistas towards Mullaghmore. It still took a few hours for the clouds to lift. Polladirk Valley from Diamond Hill Sunday was a real #seatosummit kinda day for us. After an extended swim at Traugh and a lovely breakfast in #keoghsofkinvara we decided to climb #diamondhill in #connemaranationalpark . When we arrived at the peak the sun was still quite high in the sky throwing deep and interesting looking shadows on #polladirkvalley with majestic views of some of the #twelvebens. A very rare view of Connemara’s mountains with a deep blue sky. Fishing Trawler at Linnane’s My seven year old daughter storms into my bedroom at 6:35am this morning, full of excitement over the beautiful colours in the sky and demands that we are going right now to take a picture. (years of training). 😂 She was dressed within minutes ... and so we went. As I hadn’t planned anything in advance we went down to the Flaggy Shore. The tide was still high and the beach filled with seaweed. I had seen a charismatic looking fishing trawler at Linnane’s Pier on our way down, the result is this image. Thank you Maya! . Filling Station Kinvara on N67 . Inspired by photographer @nickcarver, I went out to capture the unusual view of a very quiet, nearly abandoned filling station in Kinvara during lockdown. (Nick, your work rocks, I love your YouTube channel!) The building reminds me a bit of the characteristic gas stations you would typically find along Route 66.
