Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

I can’t express enough how unbelievably exhausted I am of “bittersweet” endings.
Is it really too much to ask for a movie to end on a genuinely happy note? Just once? Give me unadulterated joy, give me a grand, cheesy finale with applause, and kisses, and laughter, show me that no matter how bad it can get, there is always hope.
The real world is awful enough as it is, people turn to art for escapism. I don’t want to see the billionth repackaged version of the same old ‘nothing is ever perfect’.
I want to believe.

You do not hand pick Adam Driver to be your redeemed villain sexpot if you aren’t planning some epic makeouts. So jot that down.
