I'm currently reading Ukiyo (yes, for the first time, believe it or not, I was always so intimidated by its word count that I never started reading it even though people talk about it all the time) and every now and then I just think about how it has a lot of similar metaphors and symbolisms as my fic The Cage I Call Home even though over all they're quite different stories, and definitely written in different ways. But it does make me wonder if my readers assumed I was inspired by that fic, while the truth is that I never read it before writing TCICH. 🧍🏼‍♀️

Thank you for this! It was so fun and interesting to read all your comments and it gave amazing insight into how a reader interprets the things I wrote, which is really the best kind of feedback and rare to receive.

I initially just set out to write some smut the way I wanted to and it's been equally hilarious and heart-warming to also get nice comments about aspects of this story which have nothing to do with the smut (such as calling this slice of life lmao, I suppose you're right though, it does kinda fit that category)

I'm also delighted to see that the last stunt Jimin pulled got you worried (evil of me, isn't it) because I was so sure that readers would just see through it and think that of course they're gonna end up together one way or another no matter what. After all, this is kinda also a romance story and I think a lot of readers would have felt betrayed if I didn't give them a happy ending. Not to even mention that I would have always felt like the story is unfinished if they didn't end up together. 😅

(Also, since you're interested in reading more, I just have to say I'm sorry that I don't have that many things published and I post veeery sporadically. It's a world of disappointments 💔)
