As a Mixi Max enthusiast, I must say I have had an absolute joy reading your blog years on. I have been adapting the idea of Mixi Max to my fictional world, and you have truly inspired me with your diamond-clad posts! ;)
I saw this ask just a few minutes after it was sent, but I've been so moved by it that it's taken me this long to answer, haha--
All I can say is, thank you so much for your kind words!! This project is still near and dear to my heart even if I haven't posted anything to this blog in a long time, so trust me when I say that it means the world to me that it's still being enjoyed by someone out there ;u; I'm beyond honoured to hear I could inspire you in any way, and I would definitely love to see what you're working on, too!
Things have been busy lately and I haven't even had time (or energy) to draw at all, but I will soon finish a project I've been working on and I should celebrate by drawing. Last time I had a break, I ended up just drawing good old EnYaga, but it might be time to make a new miximax. Or not, we'll see ww
Thank you for taking the time to send me this ask, and have a beautiful day!!

When the king enters the room, the world stops and bows at him.
Come on, guys, you knew this was coming. Most of you have known me for a long time and are aware of how predictable I am, but for those of you who have met me through this blog, you must know that there is nothing I love more than Endou. And if Yagami is right next to him, all the better. Being aware of that, this miximax shouldnāt come as a surprise. (I mean, my main blog is called enyaga, so, yeah.)
But me and my uncontrolled OTP feelings arenāt to be blamed this time. If someone is guilty of this, thatās @bonusālevelās kindness. She was right next to me back when I started this project two years ago, and insisted on helping me. However, I didnāt want a great artist like her to lend me a hand, because I didnāt want it to become popular through such cheap means.
Still, she surprised me on my birthday with this gorgeous design and, needless to say, I fell in love. She worked hard for me despite being so busy and treated me to something she knew would make me incredibly happy. Knowing that, how could I even think of rejecting it? Of course, I had to make it part of my project, even though I will never be able to match her skills and these reference drawings are nothing compared to the originals (especially because I had to make up some parts of it, since the references I had didnāt cover everything ww;;).Ā
Also, this is the only design in the whole project made by someone other than me. Please donāt get used to this level of quality, because youāll be rather disappointed if you do. But enjoy it while it lasts, ha ha.
Today is October 15, 2015, and this is how I celebrate it. Happy Double EnYaga Day. (*Ā“čø`*)
(As usual, you can find more information under the cut.)

ā¦This should have been published the 10th of January. I queued it ages ago (back when my last post was published), but Tumblr farted and decided not to post it. Which is just fantastic. Itās not the first time it decides to screw up the queue, but itās the first time it happens to me on this blog. So annoying. This means itās coming a few days late, but I hope you all still had a fantastic EnYaga Day!
As I prepared for True EnYaga Day back in October, I found again this old doodle of mineāthe base for what would later become the final design of EnYaga. I thought it might be fun to share it and use it as an excuse to talk about this subject AGAIN, andā¦ that was good enough for me, really.
You guys know me and thereās probably very little reason to do so, but I have never really talked about the reasons behind this miximax, have I? Well, if there is a day to indulge in that, itās EnYaga Day, so letās get to it!

HEY, GUYS! HAPPY TRUE ENYAGA DAY!!
I celebrated EnYaga Day (October 1st) with a fic, but True EnYaga Day (October 15th) is reserved for this blogāat least, this year. I decided to take a break from what I was working on and focus on bringing some Endou content here, because, honestly, you can never have enough. And with āyou,ā I mean āI.ā
Now, this is actually a burden off my shoulders. As some people know, the original EnYaga design wasnāt mine, so itās great to finally have one on my blog that I am absolutely responsible for, whether thatās a good or a bad thing. So letās dissect its design today!
Oh, and due to personal reasons that are too complex to explain right now, I call this miximax DoYaga. So excuse me if I refer to it as such.
As usual, more under the cut.

So from your last ask I know that this Blog isn't dead per say but that you're a little less interested. I just wanted to let you know how great your concepts are and hope you'll share more of your ideas with us one day.
I'll be completely honest with you: I saw this ask about 30 minutes after you sent it, but I was so shaken by it (in the best and most heart-warming way possible) that it's taken me hours to recover. And even when I did, I felt like I wanted to rejoice on it for a bit longer before answering. You positively made my day and I'm truly grateful! Thank you so much for your lovely words and for your interest in this little project of mine! ;u;
Rather than less interested, it's just that most of my creative drive has gone to a more professional project I am working on. It's not been officially announced yet because development has been fairly slow due to a number of reasons, but I'm currently making a game that any fan of Inazuma would find a lot of joy in, I think. I don't know when I'll be able to talk about it publicly, let alone when it'll be released, but I'll keep you guys posted as soon as there is something to show!
However, I've been kind of itching to draw, and while the last "big" illustration I made was about that game, I miss Inazuma lately and I feel like I might want to give this project some love. I still have many ideas, so it's just a matter of seeing what I feel like working on and when I can take a break from the other project--in terms of pouring my creativity into it, at least. I can't promise anything, but your ask sure made me more eager to tackle it. Ā“u`
Have a lovely day, and thank you so much again!

is this blog still alive?
Thank you so much for your interest--it really means a lot ;u; And I donāt know if you did it on purpose, but you messaged me right on my birthday and it was a lovely surprise, ha ha!
The short answer is yes, it is alive!
The long answer is that I havenāt given up on it or anything (in fact, I still think about it quite often), but I simply havenāt felt like drawing much lately, and posting nothing but text is kinda pointless on Tumblr. I donāt draw for a living, and even if I did, this blog would definitely not give me any money either XD So I can thankfully afford to simply not draw if I'm not in the mood for it.
That will change eventually--Iām pretty cyclical in that regard. And when it does, you can be sure Iāll continue working on this, as I always enjoy it! In the meantime, you can message me whenever if you have any ideas or anything like that. I have truly enjoyed discussing these things with people in the past, although I make it a point to not steal other peopleās ideas.
Again, thank you for checking up on me! Have a great day!

When someone puts so much time into reading through my stuff and commenting it thoroughly, I can only honour their efforts and say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you very, very much, Luna! Your replies mean the world to me every time and Iām really happy you like my dumb work. ā„
And with that done, let me reply and clarify things!
Iām glad to hear you praise my attention to detail, but itās more like simple overthinking and hyperfixation, hah! I also have a very distinctive and strong love for game-exclusive characters in multimedia franchises. (I even picked up a Bleach game recently simply because the main characters are exclusive to that game and I want to consider them for this project... The game itself looks cool too, but priorities.)
As for power escalation, you have the right to be scared, honestly! Itās the Dragon Ball effect, and it could even be seen in IE. When you run out of opponents in your country, you look at the world. Then, at the universe. Then, at the multiverse. And then... whatever the DBS manga is currently doing. I honestly have no clue. As much as I adore Galaxy, I donāt need it to go beyond that. Tenma must be stopped
But, yeah, you said it best: itās all about creating balance in a team! It might be because of my game design background, but I just hate it when characters get rendered completely useless because someone else is objectively better in every way. Outclassing is a very bad thing, and thatās why I donāt particularly like the FFX postgame (cough).
One thing people tend to forget about Inazuma is that, by definition, almost any character can learn any hissatsu. Some games have gendered hissatsus, like The Tower in IE2, and some techniques require a specific body size (Inazuma Otoshi requires a big character to use as a trampoline, for example), but these hissatsus can never depend on any given characterās specific aspect. When I see Inazuma OCs, their hissatsus usually revolve around some quirk of the characterās looks, and thatās okay, but I would rather stick to the canon. And in the actual universe created by L5, when a hissatsu uses a unique body trait, itās because the hissatsu itself creates that trait. See the game- and manga-exclusive Dragonās Tail, for example.
(...But my love for canon and accurate representation doesnāt take away from my love for visual gags and memes, so thanks for appreciating whatās honestly a brilliant joke that everyone is sleeping on)
All in all, Iām just so glad you enjoyed the post, Luna!! Shourin could use all the hugs you can give him, and I could use any and all the sweet, sweet validation!
Thank you again for all the time you put into these! It really means a lot. ;u;
Happy Goku Day, everyone!!
I checked and, miraculously, I still have followers on this blog. In fact, Iāve gained some since the last time I posted, for some reason! Iām not going to question it, though. Justā¦ bless. But, hey, long time no see! As usual!
This time, Iām going back to my roots. The first drawings I posted on this blog were meant to show my love towards original Raimon, and itās never a bad time to remind you all that I still adore these kids. Especially now that my friend @dust-monsters-under-my-bedā has reminded me of them. Go check her art, btw! Sheās not very active on Tumblr, but you can find her art on Twitter right here: https://twitter.com/rachelmonart
Anyway, sheās watching Inazuma Eleven for the first time and sheās made me think again about how much love these kids deserve, BECAUSE THEY SURE GOT NONE FROM HINO. DAMN YOU, HINO. So, today, letās talk about the one and only IE character whose feet are classified as mass destruction weapons, who decided to borrow power from someone who will make you all question me, my logic and my tastes: Yamhan (or, as he is known in the west, Tiencha), THE FUSION OF YAMCHA AND TENSHINHAN FROM DRAGON BALL.

Introducing ShoYamHan! More on him under the cut.
So, first of all, how have you all been? I suppose many of you, like myself, are being told to stay at home to fight this situation. I salute all of you who do your best to stay safe and not help spread anything. Itās a very necessary fight, even if it can be boring at times. Many of us have friends or relatives fighting on the frontline, though (unless you yourself are the doctor or nurse friend!), and we hopefully know that staying at home is a small price to pay.
As for me, I got a job in December and lost it last month, so... yeah. Itās not been great. Still, something Iāve been working hard on for a while should be released soon and thatās so exciting! MY NAME WILL FINALLY BE ON SOMETHINGāS CREDITS AND I CANāT WAIT FOR IT TO BE UP.
But, anyway, back to business!
Rachel suggested I talk about the reasons behind this particular miximax, and considering it makes for a perfect parallel with my first posts, where I talked about the reasons behind Maxās and Kagenoās miximaxes, Iām all up for it! But, this time, I will have to do something new: explain WHO THE HECK YAMHAN IS. So letās start with a picture of this handsome devil.
As most of you hopefully know, this project is about miximaxing Inazuma characters with video game characters. No anime, movies or anything else. Only and exclusively video games. Dragon Ball has probably spawned all those things, but it started as a manga, so youād be right to think it most definitely does not qualify for this project. And, indeed, Dragon Ball doesn't. What DOES qualify, however, are Dragon Ball characters exclusive, or first introduced, in a video game. And thatās exactly the case weāre dealing with here!
Growing up, I loved Dragon Ball games. Even before I watched the show properly, in fact! I would go to my friendās house, who was a fan of the show, and we'd play the Dragon Ball Budokai games nonstop with absolutely zero regrets. Those were some great times. And once I came to know the source material, the game that blew my mind the most was Dragon Ball Budokai 2. Was it the best one? Not necessarily. Is it my favourite? Not by a long shot. Still, it was the most creative! Most games follow the story of DBZ, which, obviously, is always the same. But Budokai 2 wasnāt afraid to do new things. Its story mode resembled a tabletop game and it was more than happy to deviate from the source material in some really fun ways; most notably, with exclusive fusions.
Budokai 2 introduced us all to Yamhan, the fusion of Yamcha and Tenshinhan, two long forgotten characters in the series, as they (and especially poor Yamcha) didnāt do anything especially relevant past... well, past the original Dragon Ball. As a champion of the unloved, that blew my mind. There were other fun things in Budokai 2, but what fascinated me and stayed in my thoughts for years to come was Yamhan. It was just such a cool concept. Two underdogs who had fallen into obscurity fusing to create a much greater warrior!
Of course, Yamhan isnāt the only videogame exclusive characters in Dragon Ball. He isnāt the first, nor the last. Yamhan isnāt the strongest, nor the weakest. But I havenāt played FighterZ nor Fusions (yet), nor pretty much any game that wasnāt on PS2 or GBA. And even if I had, I doubt Android 21 or any of the HUNDREDS of combinations available in Fusions would captivate me and my imagination as much as Yamhan did back in the day. Yamhan was a fusion, which is something that has always fascinated me to begin with. I MEAN, THIS ENTIRE BLOG IS ABOUT FUSING CHARACTERS, SO I THINK ITāS PRETTY OBVIOUS LMAO But he wasnāt just one among hundreds. He was this very specific, never-seen-before, cool as heck and usable fusion. Like, wow. That was wild for me. Sign me up, man.
But, you know, I try not to let that sway me too much. Of course, I wouldnāt likely pick a character I hate for a miximax, but, still, my preferences arenāt everything. And choosing Yamhan begs a question that I have already alluded to: if Yamhan isnāt the strongest game-exclusive DB character out there, then, why him? Well, the answer to that is related to the biggest problem posed by the sheer concept of miximaxing with a Dragon Ball character:
Power escalation.
Itās no exaggeration to say that Goku is, pretty much, the strongest character that has ever played the lead in any manga, and one of the strongest fictional characters ever, period. By the end of the Dragon Ball Super anime, he has EXCEEDED THE POWER OF MANY LITERAL GODS AND IS (or has been) A CANDIDATE TO BECOME ONE. You may prefer One Piece, or Naruto, or anything else, but few things reach the astronomical, reality-bending scope of Dragon Ball. Not to say DB is the best series--Iām just saying that itās so out of control at this point (and I love it). But, of course, the stronger Goku is, the stronger the villains need to be, and Goku ends up becoming EVEN stronger than said villains. Rinse and repeat dozens of times until you can make an entire universe disappear by raising your hand.
Now, imagine applying that out-of-this-world power escalation to a context where the power balance isnāt so outrageous. For example, Inazuma Eleven.
Goku wriggling in his sleep is more powerful than Zeus, and an accidental sneeze would smash all of Ixal Fleet to smithereens. Do you see what this would do to the balance? It would ruin it completely, as anyone who miximaxed with Goku would be immediately a one-person army able to defeat ANY opponent--and if the opponent were to be EVEN GREATER than Goku, well, the rest simply wouldnāt stand a chance. Ever. Remember: the point of this project isnāt to create perfect and unbeatable players, and Iām not trying to prioritize anyone or make them noticeably stronger than anyone else just because I happen to like X more than Y. That completely ruins the tension and the fun (and my attempts to create justice in this unfair universe). The point is to come up with a balanced team full of players with strong points, but with flaws, too, that complement each other when they play together against stronger enemies.
So, if we go with Dragon Ball, and I love Dragon Ball WAY too much to not include it in this project in some way, we have to be careful and avoid overdoing it. Balance is key. And now that you know why I didnāt just choose the fusion between Beerus and Whis or something crazy like that, Iāll move on to explain what makes Yamhan a very interesting option. I SWEAR THERE ARE SOME ACTUAL REASONS.
First of all, the very concept. You know, Yamcha and Tenshinhan fused to created Yamhan, and now, Shourin is fusing with a fusion. Thatās just... hecking cool. I wonāt lie--my preferences towards Yamhan didnāt tip the scales towards making this happen, but my preferences towards FUSIONCEPTION totally did. XD But thereās more, thankfully.
From the very beginning, I knew I wanted a fighting game character to miximax with Shourin because it fits his theme best. Iām not big on fighting games, though, so it was quite tough. Especially because just any fighting game wouldnāt do it. Shourin is a martial artist. As I mentioned at the very beginning of this post, his feet are his weapons. His entire body is a weapon, really. If I were to suddenly miximax him with some character who wields a sword or an axe, for example, it would be a complete disservice to Shourin. Original Raimon members donāt have much going on for themselves, and Iām going to cut or ignore the ONE thing that makes one of them special? Not in a zillion years. Shourin needs to fight with his body. That, of course, cuts many characters already: pretty much the entire roster of Soul Calibur, many members of Mortal Kombat, many from games like Skullgirls (which I still want to try to represent here in the future, because @lumaga worked on it and it makes me happy just because of that), etc. For a very long time, I considered someone like Ryu, from Street Fighter, but then it hit me: I have never played Street Fighter and I donāt want to include him just because I know what a Hadouken is. Itād be... cheap. And fake. Thankfully, as I also mentioned earlier, I played LOTS of Budokai back in the day and I am an actual fan, so I donāt have to pretend to know what the heck Iām talking about. XD And, thankfully, most of the characters in DB games fight with their bare fists and legs, so they perfectly fit my needs. Yamhan is, of course, no exception.
Now comes my favourite reason to choose Yamhan and not, well, literally any other DB game-exclusive character. And that reason is style.
Remember that power escalation thing I mentioned earlier? Well, itās epic, but it comes with a big disadvantage: power ends up becoming much more important than skill. Early Dragon Ball was very focused on fighting styles. There was an ongoing feud between the Turtle School and the Crane School, who taught different martial arts to fight in different ways, and there was a big plot involving which one was superior. It wasnāt just about who was strongest, but about who fought better. With time, that disappeared, though. Even though battles became flashier, aerial and more spectacular, they were much more indistinct. Sure, there were gimmicks like āheh, I have a tail and I will sometimes hit you with it,ā orĀ āI will try to hit your face with the palm of my hand instead of my fist for some unspecified reason,ā but that isnāt... much. You just see very fast people avoiding equally as fast punches to the face. And Goku, the main character, only shows some style when he adopts a fighting pose BEFORE fighting. Once the punches start flying, itās all a race to see who can hit the other the hardest in the gut to make them spit blood. Cool nonetheless, but still.
Ironically, though, itās two of the least relevant characters who never really lost those styles that made them unique when they were first introduced to the series. And those are, of course, Yamcha and Tenshinhan.
Yamcha joins the Turtle School and learns techniques as classic as the Kamehameha, but he had his own style way before that, based on attacking and tearing enemies apart like a wolf would. This is best represented by his signature move, the Rougafuufuuken or Wolf Fang Fist. He never drops this style, but instead builds up on it through his training to make it even fiercer.
Tenshinhan has different things going for himself. First of all, he is a hybrid between a human being and a civilization known as the Three-Eyed People, which grants him powers such as growing extra arms from his back or dividing in 4. Not just moving so fast that it looks like thereās four of him, but ACTUALLY dividing into 4 separate bodies. In terms of skills, he was a Crane School student, but when he realised the wrong of his masterās doings, he decided to start training and developing on his own. Basically, a path that mirrors Yamchaās, but both lead to unique fighting styles unlike anyone elseās in this universe. And, most importantly, none of them depend on appendixes that are always there, like the aforementioned tail, so they totally work for us here!
Shourin is a proper martial artist. He wouldnāt want to make himself crazy strong as much as he would like to refine his technique and learn new moves and tricks. Martial arts are about discipline, self-control, skill and protection. He would take a cool-ass combo based on a wolfās moves over earth-shattering strength any day of the week, hence why the fact that these two have so many techniques to offer is so appealing.
Finally, and probably least, is the design idea that immediately came to my mind when I thought of a miximax between Shourin and Yamhan. Historically, I have had to work with characters like Fudou, who are usually mostly bald and they miximax with someone with hair, thus making for some very... difficult things to figure out. But the idea of miximaxing Shourin, who is mostly bald, with Yamhan, who is ALSO mostly bald, was just golden and too good to ignore. And the fact that Yamhan has three eyes GIVES ME AN EXCUSE TO ADD A THIRD CROSS-SHAPED EYE ON SHOURINāS FOREHEAD. IF A MIXIMAX BETWEEN BALD PEOPLE WAS GOLDEN, THIS IS OUTRIGHT PLATINUM.
Shourin would've probably looked a lot less like a joke if he had had hair covering his entire head or if I had at least given him proper eyes... but that would no longer be the Shourin I love. Not to mention that itās very likely that Shourin willingly shaves his head to begin with (even if the ponytail aināt doing him any favours--but thatās just Inazuma logic, so letās not look too much into it), just like Tenshinhan or Krillin do, so he would probably be happier to keep that, uh, advantage. Relative advantage, but still.
As a side note, though, we canāt forget the balance. When Yamcha and Tenshinhan fuse, they undoubtedly become the strongest human being in the DB universe, overcoming the one who is usually strongest: Krillin. A fusion is always greater than its parts individually, and Yamcha and Tenshinhan arenāt so far away from Krillin to begin with, so thatās not even a question. Regardless, they still donāt have that overwhelming and surreal strength from other characters, so we still donāt get into absolutely OP territory. Yamhan is strong enough to provide Shourin with a power that can make a real difference without completely putting him above everyone else.
Sadly, Yamhan doesnāt really have a backstory, as heās a game-exclusive character that, honestly, was probably only there for a laugh. That means there is no deep connection between them. We can, however, make obvious connections between Shourin, an aspiring martial artist whose dream, as stated in IE2, was to study at Manyuuji (Kogureās school) for their focus on martial arts, and is now trying to become stronger to protect what he loves, and two skilled warriors who have been training nonstop under different masters and on their own for basically their entire lives to keep becoming stronger and more skilled in order to defend whatās precious to them and, simply, to be the best version of themselves they can be. Upon seeing such dedicated warriors and artists, Shourin would undoubtedly want to learn from them and, if necessary, borrow their strength too.
Or he might just fanboy and ask for their autographs, honestly. I sure as heck want Yamchaās. And his baseball card.

Despite Tumblrās betrayal, this does have a perk: I get to revise this post before itās published, which is great, because Iām happy to report that things are better now than when I first wrote it. In the original version, I mentioned that my life at the time was a little... paused, so there wasnāt really a lot to say. Among the only news worth sharing, I sent an oil painting to a friend a couple of months ago and it arrived very fast and completely safe, so that was great! It was a Professor Layton-themed painting, but now that I donāt have it at home anymore, Iām tempted to make another one... (If I do, chances are more FudoLay content will arrive here swiftly after lol) Other than that, Iād just started my classes again, but I was still desperately looking for a job. At least, classes made me feel like I wasnāt completely wasting every single day, so I was more cheerful than I was during summer. (Funny, because my group of friends at uni used to say that they could only smile during summer, but I was pretty miserable during those months. ww;)
Thankfully, though, I can say I now have a job! And itās great!! ...The conditions arenāt so great, but at least Iām back to work as a game designer. Iām learning so much and I feel very motivated to work, even if itās technically a collaboration and I will only get money once the game is published--in other words, when the game starts bringing money our way. This is far from ideal, but I honestly had no other options and Iām having a blast working on this, so I hope something cool will come out of it! For now, I would ask you to keep your eyes on Eskema Games and maybe check out the companyās latest game, Delta Squad? I had absolutely NOTHING to do with that game because it was released way before I joined, but supporting it supports the company I work for, which always comes in handy! It also underperformed, so it could use all the love you guys can give it.
Also, let me quickly point something out: about a year ago, an anon asked me if i was going to include Danganronpa characters in this project. The question is here, in case anyone needs a reminder: https://miximax-hell.tumblr.com/post/181991994534/hey-there-since-youre-doing-miximaxs-with-game Well, I FINALLY got my hands on the DR Trilogy for PS4, so Iāll be looking into that and seeing what I can find! If that anon is still around, I hope I can make them happy.
But letās cut to the chase already!
As I always make sure to clarify, yes, I do massively ship Endou and Yagami. But thereās thankfully much more to EnYaga (the miximax--if I need to talk about the ship again, Iāll just call it Endou x Yagami) than just āyeah, I ship them.ā In order to understand the reasons behind this combination, though, we must venture into two very different subjects: what reasons there are to choose Yagami to begin with, and the life story of yours truly. I swear both are important to get the full picture, but Iāll keep the latter as brief and free of unnecessary information as possible, even if itās definitely the longest and most complex part. So, without any further ado, letās see what makes this miximax valid within the logic of this project.
A big chunk of what makes EnYaga work was explained exactly three years ago, here: https://miximax-hell.tumblr.com/post/131215636268/when-the-king-enters-the-room-the-world-stops-and
The tl;dr would be that Endou plays as a goalkeeper, but also as a libero! Being such radically different positions, itās to be expected that he would need two different miximaxes, because it would be rather difficult to find an aura that improves his field skills (shooting power, speed, etc.) and his goalkeeping abilities at the same time. Thankfully, Yagami gives him the exact abilities a good libero needs to be able to excel--especially when that libero has the pressure of being part of most of the strong hissatsus the team can pull off. So, for more info on EnYagaās powers, please check the link above. (And note that, of course, this miximax only marginally improves Endouās goalkeeping capabilities.)
I have also talked in length about the relationship between Endou and Yagami, but hereās a very brief summary. During the in-game events of IE2, Endou gave Yagami hope when all she wanted was to die to atone for her sins, thus saving her life in the process. In return, she wanted to give him the strength to fight when he needed it most as a way to repay his kindness towards her.
Yagamiās innate abilities and the bond they share are the more logical reasons behind this miximax. There is, however, one extra reason to include this miximax in the project.
There have always been three main rules here when it comes to choosing auras:
1. Only characters that come from universes predominantly inhabited by humans (or very human-like creatures, like Zeldaās Hylians).
2. Only one character from every franchise, unless they are Level-5 franchises. In that case, I may use up to two per franchise. Examples of this are Danball Senki/Little Battlers eXperience (with Toramaru and Megane) and Professor Layton (with Fudou and Shishido).
3. One aura coming from every single (and proper) Inazuma Eleven game on the market. Those being Inazuma Eleven, IE2: Fire, IE2: Blizzard, IE3: Spark, IE3: Bomber, IE3: Ogre, IEGO: Light, IEGO: Dark, IEGO Chrono Stone: Raimei, IEGO Chrono Stone: Neppu, IEGO Galaxy: Supernova, IEGo Galaxy: Big Bang, Inazuma Eleven Strikers, IE Strikers 2012 XTreme, and IEGO Strikers 2013. Iām not counting Everyday, SD nor unreleased titles. So far, I have 7 out of 15.
From the beginning, I have wanted Endou to have nothing but Inazuma Eleven-only miximaxes. I mean, heās the main character and all!
Needless to say, Yagami is part of the Inazuma Eleven miximaxes--in fact, she takes the IE2 Blizzard spot, if anyone is curious about that very specific detail. She is obviously a very predominant character in that game, having a relevant impact during the final match against The Genesis and even (spoiler alert for a 10 years old game) by injuring Kazemaru earlier, because he didnāt just leave like he did in the anime--Yagami sent him to the hospital when he started matching The Genesisās power. Since sheās a main character in that game, and considering that many of the other important characters introduced in it become part of the teams that make up this project (such as Hiroto, Midorikawa and maaaybe Saginuma), Yagami was the perfect candidate. She was also arguably the strongest among the remaining main characters of IE2, and the only midfielder. Not to mention the bond she shares with Endou, which only rounds it all up even more.
So, as a brief summary, Yagami is an Inazuma Eleven character (which is exactly what I wanted for Endou) and a very strong player, she provides Endou with everything he would need to be a good libero (incredible speed, great shooting strength, being a midfielder and the stamina that inherently comes with it, powerful hissatsus, and so on), she shares a canonical bond with Endou, the contrast between their personalities is super interesting to explore, and there are reasons why even she would want him to take her power. He can hardly have it better! It makes a lot of sense, and itās all heavily based on canon, so I donāt need to explain much in that regard. Thatās always convenient.
But there is another side to all of this. My side.
I first started working on miximaxes with the idea of only making 4 or 5. I simply meant to give extra love to some of my favourite characters to make myself and a few friends happy. This never became a full-fledged project until my good friend Heather, who used to be on Tumblr under the username @ishidoshuuji, said she wanted to be able to reblog the Seitei x Yuuichi miximax I had drawn for her. In other words, this: https://miximax-hell.tumblr.com/post/129863262149/well-it-was-about-time-i-started-using-this-blog
Before that, miximax-hell used to be a private blog: one of those you can only check out if you have the password. I never thought ANY stranger would be interested in it, so why expose myself like that? It would only make me feel bad. I could have never imagined over a hundred people would follow me here, and even less so considering that only about 10 of my friends follow this blog. So I have to thank Heather because, even if 100 isnāt a big number at all here on Tumblr, I still appreciate each and every person who stops by and itās helped me meet some incredibly lovely people.
Back to the subject, though. This story is directly linked to MamoDaiās. The important part of it was that EnYagaās design isnāt mine, and so isnāt MamoDai: the former is completely not mine (even if, as the sketch above suggests, the concept was first doodled by me), while the latter was only partially mine. The thing, though, is that the same person made EnYaga and ācollaboratedā on the creation of MamoDai, which meant I let them into this very personal solo project twice. If you want to check out the full story, though, you can read it here: https://miximax-hell.tumblr.com/post/142160652319/you-should-have-seen-this-one-coming-come-on
As I was saying, miximax-hell is a solo project. Itās something for me to enjoy, for me to think about, for me to develop, for me to improve at designing character, and for me to decide on. I set the rules and I come up with suitable matches--or what I think are suitable matches, that is. ww Iām definitely open to suggestions if anyone is willing to share their thoughts with me, and fanart is always, always, ALWAYS welcome, of course, but I donāt borrow other peopleās ideas nor designs. Not because those designs and ideas arenāt fantastic, nor because Iām not allowed to, but because the point of this blog is to have fun and improve my skills. If I donāt do it myself, itās kind of pointless, so I prefer a bad design made by me over a great design by someone else. Also, if people were to check all of these things out, I wanted it to be because of my work, not because someone super well-known was part of it and people were desperate to get more content from them.
When I first came up with this project, though, someone very close to me wanted to be part of it. Not because they found it interesting per se, but simply because it was mine. I had previously declined an offer to join one of their projects because I lacked the necessary skill, so they wanted to join mine instead. And donāt get me wrong--I appreciate the interest even now! But, again, it beat the point and I had to refuse. Looking back, Iām very glad I didnāt give in, but I felt awful back then and this person must have felt really bad too.
Thatās why I made that exception and suggested, āHey, why donāt we create a miximax together?ā Thatās how MamoDai was born. But while the interest in working on MamoDai seemed... scarce, this person came up with and gave me something out of their own accord: the EnYaga miximax design I still use to this day.
Now, hereās the thing: EnYaga was a proper gift that person made for me, and I always honour gifts. If it had been a random doodle, like I have received others in the past, it would have ended there. But when someone puts true effort and time into making something especifically FOR ME, regardless of what happens between us later, I still treasure it forever. And this gift came from a person who, apparently, really wanted to be part of this project when I first came up with it, which, honestly, put me in a tight spot. The least I could do was accept this design, which I loved almost as much as I loved them, and incorporate it to my lineup.
EnYaga was going to happen regardless, because I was working on it myself, but this person beat me to it (with such incredible quality, too, which I would never be able to hold a candle to) and, after what I made them go through with my continuous rejections, I had to honour them somehow. It was my way of saying, āI canāt let you do this for me, but I deeply appreciate the thought.ā
This person is now out of my life, though. This means that, honestly, I could just get rid of the design. They would never know, and I would be happier with something of my own even if it sucked in comparison. They would never feel offended either--not like they would even if they knew, because itās obvious they donāt care about me anymore. It would be easy and 100% painless for all parties involved.
But EnYaga is a token of the bond we once shared and I treasure that, even though I donāt want anything to do with that person anymore. It portrays the fun and happy times, not the sad and bitter ending. Happiness is always something worth remembering, isnāt it? And maybe, just maybe, thanks to the wonderful people Iām close to and my eternal love towards Endou x Yagami, I might one day be able to completely forgive the bad and focus on the good, so I can smile when I look at EnYaga and think of this person. I look forward to a day when there isnāt an ounce of bitterness left in my heart (although I am one revengeful and spiteful piece of poo, so it might never happen). And for that possibility alone, it might be worth it to keep making this one exception and let this miximax be someone elseās. Especially now that I have DoYaga to call my own.
So thatās it, folks: not only do Endou and Yagami make for a sick combination in theory, but itās also a miximax with deep sentimental value for me in so many different ways. So even if it had been someone elseās idea and the two characters were a terrible match in all senses, chances are I would have still kept it. Thank goodness it wasnāt the case. ww
And all because I didnāt finish the design fast enough on my own. May that be the lesson to learn from this: hurry the heck up, self.

[Inazuma Eleven] A Worried Great-Grandson
[Read on FanFiction!]
[Read on AO3!]
Rated: T
Characters: Mamoru Endou, Kanon Endou, Takuto Shindou
Genre: Mistery, Sci-Fi
Word Count: 8210
Summary: Canon Divergence (the canon remains unchanged, but details are added regarding unexplained parts of the story)
Itās been months since the FFI came to an end and times are hard at Raimon, affecting the team negatively and, above all, preventing Endou from training normally. Due to that, Kanon decides to get up to his old tricks to help his great-granfather in his own way: by bringing him a whole new team of soccer players to enjoy soccer with. But nothing ever goes as planned..
Thanks to: I want to thank my wonderful girlfriend, who took the time to recheck this whole story for me and make it better overall. Sheās the best, even if sheās been too busy lately and itās taken her a while to finish. Special mention to @snowywolffā, who helped me brainstorm while I was reworking this story. And shoutout to @zafiro-satoshiā, who shared the Spanish version of this when I first posted it! That means a lot to me. ;u;

2019 was a crappy year. Letās start 2020 with @lunastarwardāās lovely comments so we can at least say the beginning was glorious. I mean, she took the time to leave even more comments on it than before and that MUST be honoured. And replied to appropriately, of course.
There was a lot of sweet, sweet spite in here, so Iām glad the end result seems to be well received! And it sure is one of the highlights of the year to have finally been able to do this.
Considering the fact that none of the events of IE would have happened without Daisuke, people tend to forget about him and his impact extremely easily. Too bad. In either case, Daisukeās headband is one element of Mamoruās design I aināt touching. Not just because of what it means, but because I honestly think Mamoru would actually hate it if his grandpaās memento were to be altered.
Yeah, thatās basically the gist of why DoYaga seems closer to Yagami! People influence each other, like it or not, and a constant exposure during ten years would cause that. Although, in this case, this constant exposure could potentially be labelled more as āmutationā than as simple influence...
When it comes to the eyes, honestly, Inazuma wouldnāt be a stranger to changing the look of eyeballs, with Nagumoās Ares appearance being the most disturbing example. (Thatās a redesign more than an āevolution,ā but you get what I mean.) Still, it didnāt sit right with me, so I decided against it.
I am no character designer nor a mind reader, so I honestly canāt know if whatās written on my explanation posts were deliberate choices made by Level-5 or just some kind of... breakdown of how they randomly happen to design these miximaxes. I donāt think there was much thought put into, say, Endouās adult version other than a matter of someone thinking, āoh, this would look cool.ā I am the only one here changing details slowly and one by one, but someone better than me could pull it off with half the effort and double the results XD
Honestly, Inazuma is so good and so bad at keeping a good raccord of what characters really look like, all depending on the character. For the peskier designs, you have 3D models on the games, but those tend to be... well, a lot uglier and generic. To not be able to find references that add up is really annoying.
(Also... I donāt know what is comedic about āitās matching the rest of the hairāespecially in terms of length,ā but if you got a crack out of it, youāre welcome. XD And colour theory explains why THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SHIP, SO THANK YOU)
When it comes to making my life easy... look, I really am grateful for FubuGabu for all the love itās gathered, but thatās a nightmare to draw. Let me have a simple and fun time with Endou, at least. I used to doodle my miximaxes in class when I was in uni, but I avoided the very tough ones, so... letās not avoid DoYaga.
Again, Iām no character designer (or GOOD character designer, rather), so you should take it with a grain of salt. That was my logic, however, and how it feels when I personally look at it. Whether thatās a universal rule or not is another story... but I do like the literal edge those spikes give the design.
All in all, though, and regardless of its shape and size, you are right:
Bless EnYaga.
ABOUT THAT, @beefcakemistakeā DREW AMAZING ENYAGA FOR ME AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT AND YOU SHOULD ALL CHECK IT OUT https://twitter.com/beefcakemistake/status/1209954761077919744
I LOVE YOU, SKY

Iām really glad you like it!! This one took a ton of work and I put a lot of pressure on myself, so seeing people enjoy the result fills my heart with joy. ;u;
There is always room for Endou, indeed! However, luck didnāt find me. The day after posting that, my grandma finally passed away. Iām glad sheās not suffering anymore, but... it sure brought my life to a halt all of a sudden. I hope things will begin to improve now, though--
The people who donāt know my main blog are probably better off that way. Especially because I donāt post anywhere near enough FudoHaru content.
Iām glad you look forward to January, but, at the very least, I just finished writing the analysis on this post, so feel free to check it out!
