Would you be down to write Rip Hunter or Rory Williams x reader?
Howdy!
Oh man, I miss Rory. Like, I never understood why everyone likes Amy, I thought she was such a backstabber. Left poor Rory in the dirt. Maybe I didn't watch enough of the 11th Doctor, but hot damn, she annoys me. Do you have any ideas? I guess I should go rewatch some episodes. 😂

.:. The Queen meets the King .:.
Tumblr media
When König entered the room, all eyes were on him. Price had told his team that someone new was arriving, but no one had seen this mystery person till now. König's eyes scanned the room, falling easily on you. Clad in beige gear that resembled a desert, goggles red and striking like a scorpion's tail. You were shorter than the men in the room, but your gear kept your gender hidden. And that was the point, König surmised. The line of work you did was all about secrets and covert happenings. But you still intrigued him. Later on, he realised you stayed mostly with Ghost, attached to his hip almost. It was hard to talk to you without Ghost observing. König was already one anxious bubble waiting to burst, Ghost's watchful eyes didn't help.
It wasn't until the two of you were paired together for missions that he was able to talk to you, slowly gaining confidence. And when one mission was set back, stuck in a safe house underground for days is when you revealed yourself. König's eyes were wide from shock and he felt like a schoolgirl looking at their crush.
"Wow."
You looked at him with a small smile, having heard his awestruck comment. But you couldn't see his face, which König was all too thankful for.
"Entschuldi- I'm sorry."
"I like a compliment as much as any other," you teased him in your sing-song voice, which made him tense up. Most of your gear was within reach should anything happen, but it was a heavy burden to carry for days on end, both mentally and physically. So you both opted to just wear your simple combat uniforms.
"You're injured, let me look at it."
König didn't even notice he was injured, the ache in his arm had become dull and almost invisible except when he moved. He wanted to argue, to not let you touch him, that he would be alright until you got back to the base, but you weren't deterred. You never let your teammates suffer. He didn't want to, but ultimately he knew you were right. He sat down on the sofa. You gasped at the large bullet wound just below his shoulder as you moved his jacket slightly.
»Why did you wait, König…«
»It's alright, Schatz.«
He saw the anger flash in your eyes, but neither of you said anything more on the topic. You rummaged for more first aid items, König having taken off his shirt to give you better access when you weren't looking. Your feet nearly gave out from under you at the sight of him, your heart plummeting into your nether regions and back into your throat. Putting all your dirty thoughts away for later, you began by disinfecting the wound and numbing the surrounding area. With quick and agile hands, you were able to pull out the bullet in one piece, wiping away the blood that trickled down his chest. His other hand rested on his knee, his thumb running up and down your leg almost in secret. It brought him comfort that you were so close. Stitching and bandaging the wound, you heaved a heavy sigh.
»There, but you need to see the doc when we're back.«
A chuckle escaped him, "will you be my nurse?"
When you didn't answer, he looked up at you with worried eyes, but that all melted away when he saw your warm yet teasing smile. His hand which was secretly caressing your thigh earlier was now holding onto it for dear life, squeezing the supple flesh every now and then.
"I don't have the costume though."
König wasn't used to flirting. He had been with others before, but usually, it was without emotions, without feelings, just carnal desires in the darkness. But none of them flirted, they were all afraid of him, the mask, his warded stance. But you weren't. You learned a long time ago not to judge a book by its cover. When you arrived at Task Force 141, you had an all but amicable relationship with Ghost—always glaring at you for some reason or another. It's when you saved his life in an ambush that he finally gained respect for you and your skills. And you'd been inseparable since. But König needed to understand the nature of your relationship, the last thing he wanted to do was get in the middle of it. Ghost looked like he would kill him if you were hurt in any way.
Throughout the day, the two of you flirted while talking about everyday things. You explained the dynamic of the team, explained their characters, so König could be more relaxed around them. But then you asked him if he had anyone waiting for him at home and it prompted a solemn silence.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry."
"Nein- no. It's okay. Most people don't ask, they just assume that…"
"Most people lack common sense. It's easy to see what's on the surface and pass judgment on it."
After a long pause, he answered your question nonetheless: "no, no one is waiting. You?"
That moment he waited with bated breath, ready to have his hopes crushed under the weight of your answer.
"No. A long time ago, I had someone. But he found other people to occupy himself with when I was away. It's why I joined 141, I needed a fresh start."
"And Ghost?"
You knew the question would pop up sooner or later. You were constantly with Ghost, never separated for more than an hour during the days when it was quiet. Everyone knew to stay away from you because of the looming presence that just screamed danger if you listened closely. You smiled at the fond memories.
"Ghost and I are friends. But he's nice to have around if I want people to leave me alone."
You chuckled at the image of Ghost as an angry chihuahua that barked and bared its teeth at everyone and everything. König said nothing as a reply, deciding rather to mull things over in silence. You found a book to occupy yourself with afterwards.
When you returned to the base after the successful mission, you noticed König was hanging around you more often. And you smiled particularly wide every time he approached you. You had even begun learning German whenever you could, Soap and Gaz teasing you every time they saw you with a children’s book and a dictionary. One evening, König loudly announced his disapproval of their teasing and added a few curse words in German to prove a point that they were uncultured when it came to language. You understood him and watched him sit opposite of you, taking the book from your grasp.
“Ich kenne dieses Buch nicht… Ist es gut?”
“Ja, ich mag es.” You slid closer to him with a teasing smile. “Ich mag den König auch.”
He chuckled and wordlessly wrapped an arm around your shoulder to pull you flush against the side of his warm body.
“Vielleicht wird die Prinzessin am Ende der Geschichte zur Königin.”

.:. A Ghost's Embrace .:.
Tumblr media
Even though the rest of Task Force 141 understood that you were in fact with Simon, the two of you never displayed any affection in public. Feelings were dangerous and a liability in your line of work, having that information slip into an enemy's hand was a death sentence. And even though you and Simon had this agreement, he couldn't help but want to show everyone you're his, especially when Konig found comfort in your presence and would always be by your side. And it certainly didn't help when Price had paired you and Konig up for several upcoming missions. Ghost said nothing at the announcement, but his death glare was obvious.
The mission was successful, but not without civilian casualties and bloody injuries. An enemy had come up from behind you through the window, so you pushed yourself backward and out, the two of you tumbling down the roof. The plan was to use him as a cushion for your fall, the plan didn't involve him getting impaled on a steel rod and you barely able to move in time. The sharp protrusion sliced through your side like a hot knife. The gash was deep and the blood wouldn’t stop pouring, causing your vision to go blurry and dizzy. König grabbed your vest and pulled you to the side behind a concrete cover. Labored breaths left your lips. From all the screams the Austrian had heard in his military past, yours was the most heartbreaking when he secured the tourniquet around your midriff to keep you from bleeding out. Soap and Ghost showed up at the last minute to dispense the rest of the enemy soldiers, Ghost kneeling beside you.
»Simon,« he could see the fear in your eyes, he could hear it in your voice. »I don’t wanna die, Simon.«
»You won’t, sweetheart.«
The doctors in the Los Vaqueros infirmary worked tirelessly on your wound, making sure to keep you alive and stable, but you hadn’t woken up in a week, which was beginning to worry them and your teammates. And even though Ghost didn’t show his worry, he was internally panicking. He needed you in his life. You were the only sane part of his insane lifestyle, he couldn’t lose you.
You wake up attached to a machine that monitors your heartbeat. It shows a slight increase in speed as you wake up from your neverending slumber but quickly goes back to its regular rhythm. The hospital room is crude in design, you assume you’re in some army base hospital rather than an actual hospital. Your side is stitched and bandaged, and you can’t even feel the pain, but that must be due to the painkillers in your system. They make the room spin slightly as you stare at the ceiling. You wonder how long you’ve been out cold, are the others still here, or did they continue their lives and missions like nothing happened.
The door opens and reveals a woman in a white coat, her long brown hair tied in a high ponytail. Her eyes connect with yours and her serious expression changes to a wide smile.
»You gave us quite a scare, Mrs. Ri- sorry, I was told you prefer your call sign; Shock. I’m Josele Martinez, the chief medical doctor.«
Nodding absentmindedly, you wonder what she wanted to say before she corrected herself. Maybe she confused you with another patient, that could happen if the hospital is busy.
»How are you feeling?«
»Tired, like I was run over by a truck. And high.«
»We had to dose you with medication, even in your coma your heart was going crazy from the pain. You mind if I look at the wound?«
You slip your legs from underneath the covers and over the side of the bed, lifting your hospital gown enough for her to check.
»You’ll be good as new in a few weeks. It missed your vital organs.«
She changes the bandages and you take a few deep breaths to keep from moving too much. You ask her where you are and if anyone else is here as well.
»Yeah, Task Force 141 just came back with Alejandro.«
»I want to see them.«
She leads you down several corridors, your ears picking up a conversation between Ghost and the others when you’re near the mess hall. A man with a Spanish accent seems to be the loudest. Josele opens the door, all their eyes suddenly on her. Alejandro was just about to ask what the emergency is when you appear from behind her. Soap and Price smile in greeting, happy you’re finally among the living. A large smile adorns your bruised features and it’s what prompts Ghost to wrap his arms around you.
You snuggle into the warmth his strong body provides, your own hands on his chest. You hear him breathe in your scent and you do the same, exhaling a blissful sigh. He believed he would never hear or feel you again, a burden suddenly lifting from his shoulders.
Later that evening and after several meetings with the doctor almost calling you something other than your nickname, you get a visit from Ghost. He sits down beside your bed and rises you from your slumber. You turn the bedside lamp on and sit up, a tired smile on your face.
»You’re staying here for another week, no missions.« He sees you’re about to protest and hums, »that’s an order.«
A chuckle escapes your lips, »you know my rank is higher than yours, right?«
His gloved hand caresses your cheek, »I need you safe.«
His words make your heart melt, leaning into him for comfort. The door suddenly opens and a nurse enters, carrying some medication for you. She addresses you by your last name, except it’s not yours. Ghost goes rigid. The nurse finally leaves and you look at Simon.
»Riley, huh? I don’t remember marrying you.«
For a long moment, Ghost says nothing. For the first time in his life, he’s too afraid to look you in the eyes, too afraid to say something because his voice would betray him. You gently pull his mask off and touch his cheek, blue eyes now watching your every move. Closing the gap between you two, lips almost touching, you breathe out a single word. Ghost reacts by pressing his lips to yours.
»Yes.«

Revelations: |Part 1| |Part 2| |Part 3|
While the world wasn't safe and the monsters still roamed among the humans and Shadowhunters, biding their time, it was peaceful and serene. And while everyone was happy, celebrating the fact that Jocelyn Fray was finally saved from Valentine's clutches, your world remained in disarray. She was frequenting the Institute and it was hard to avoid her. You didn't want her to recognise you, to insert herself forcefully into your perfect life. Your Parabatai didn't like it, he watched you grow more miserable by the day.
The Clave sent you to talk to the Seelies again, asking them to send scouts to look for Morgenstern. The Queen favoured you and often listened to your reasoning, but you knew not to take it for granted. She was manipulative and devious, masked behind kindness. However, she was only willing to talk to you from everyone in the Clave. »I sense a great sadness from you, Lilith.« Stopping in your walk to the exit back to the human world, you look at her with a somber smile. »I have a lot on my mind.« »You're always welcome here, even to rest and gather your thoughts.« »I appreciate it, Amara. Thank you.«
Your Parabatai and you head back, talking about the mission and the intel you gathered from the Seelie Queen. His cellphone rings and his previously serious expression turns into a cheerful one. He then tells you that your parents are here to visit you. It immediately brightens your day.
The sight you come upon entering the Institute makes your smile drop. Your parents are talking to Jocelyn Fray, along with Maryse. Your mother smiles and waves you over, giving you a quick hug. »It's been a while, huh? I'm glad to see you.« »Happy to see you, too. But what are you doing here?« »Well,« she glances at your Parabatai and you narrow your eyes at him, immediately knowing what this is about. He promised not to tell anyone about your relation to Jocelyn Fray, but he just couldn't express how it affected you to your parents. He rubs the back of his neck with an awkward expression, afraid to meet your gaze. »Come on,« your mother says, »let's get some tea and talk. Join us, Jocelyn?« »Of course.«
The two Fray women follow your parents to the mess hall and you stay rooted to the floor. Your Parabatai squeezes your shoulder in comfort, giving you that final push. It was time to face your worst nightmare. You sit down at the round table beside your father who has been silent all this time. Like you, he didn't see the need to explain or justify your origins, but your mother was the more reasonable of the pair. »I don't even know if you've met, Lilith this is Jocelyn. We go way back.« »I've seen you around.« »It's nice to meet you,« you offer a pursed smile and avoid your gaze, Jocelyn staring at you with a wondering look. Your mother pulls out familiar papers, adoption papers that exist in the human world and the Shadowhunters'. Jocelyn looks at them in shock, then at Clary and finally you. »You…« »Don't expect me to call you mother.«
Clary looks at you in shock and then back at her mother. »What's going on? Can someone explain?« »You're a little slow, aren't you?« You taunt Clary who glares at you, which makes you smirk. »It means we're sisters. Jocelyn over here gave me up for adoption when I was born. Which is hilarious because you're a year older.« Clary sits there shocked, never even glossing over the thought that she might have a sister. Not that she would remember, having had any lingering memories of that erased by Magnus. »Lilith… I'm… I'm so honoured to finally meet you. I didn't think I'd see the day.« »I was hoping you wouldn't.« »Lily,« your mother scolds you in a whisper and squeezes your hand, but being touched bothers you when you’re angry or sad, so you quickly move your hand away.
Looking into the distance, you sigh, getting up suddenly. Excusing yourself from the table, you leave the mess hall and to your Parabatai's room. He lets you enter without a word, watching you wrap yourself in his thick blankets in bed, unable to speak as thoughts moved in your head like a turbulent sea. Your anxiety was rising, making you visibly shake. Intrusive thoughts keep asking why; why would she give you up for adoption, why you and not your older sister, why were you such a horrible burden as a second child, why have a second child if she wasn't up for one.
»Why me…«

Family: |Part 1| |Part 2|
Inspired by Smash into Pieces “Stay”
Days without Sam hadn’t been easy. In fact, they were terribly hard on your emotional and mental state. Your daughter, who was far wiser than her age, found you crying many nights. You missed your husband and your daughter missed her father. The only connection you had with the Native American was his text messages, love letters full of apology in his wish to atone for how badly he hurt you.
Lily’s questions about her father’s whereabouts grew scarce over the weeks. She missed him, he had never before been away for so long. There was no doubt in your mind that no matter what the future brought for Sam and you, he had a bottomless fountain of love for his little girl. And you always made sure she knew that.
It was almost two months later when he called you. Deciding it was time to stop moping in your own hate, you answered. The line was silent, he hadn’t expected it. “I need to see you…” Tears uncontrollably fell down your cheeks, but you inhaled sharply and allowed him to continue. You didn’t trust your voice to not betray the turmoil within you. “I’ll come wherever you want me to… But I need to see you, I need to see Lily. Please…” Licking your lips, you exhaled; “Forks. On the beach… In two days.” “Alri-” You hung up on him before he could fully reply, mentally unprepared for the meeting. Lily was in daycare, you were alone in the house. You had never felt so alone before, dread making you curl up on the floor. You still loved Sam so much.
You hadn’t told Lily you were going to visit Forks to see her father. Your mother’s cousin was willing to watch over her for a few hours, having a child of her own about the same age as Lily. It would keep the little girl occupied in your absence. You dropped her off with a big kiss, telling her to play nice. The road to First Beach was long and winding, the scenery peaceful. The GPS took you the long way around, getting you stuck in the mud. Hitting the steering wheel in frustration, you think what else could go wrong today. Stepping out into the mud, you sink with your sneaker even further in. Grabbing your purse, you fish through it for your phone. It starts to ring just as you grab it, with Sam’s caller ID on the screen. “Yeah, am nearby… I think? The car is stuck in the mud.” “I’ll find you, stay there.” “Do I call AAA?” “No, just wait for me.”
Sighing, you hang up and enjoy the serene silence of the forest, not having felt so at peace for a long time. Attempting to move from your spot in the mud, you realise that you can lose your shoes in the process, which frustrates you even further. It’s fifteen minutes later when you hear rustling nearby, your eyes falling on Sam and one of his friends. They’re both without shirts. A sight you had long forgotten how it made you feel when you saw Sam naked. He smirks when he sees your jaw drop slightly, but is quickly reminded of your broken relationship as you avert your gaze. He approaches you and sees you’re stuck as well. “Need help?” “I tried, I’ll lose my shoes.” He rolls his eyes and wraps an arm around your torso, hoisting you into the air. His other arm goes underneath your knees to hoist you up bridal style. A surprised squeal leaves your lips, your arms going around his neck quickly. “I’ve got you, princess.” “T-thank you…”
Sam gently sets you down onto the forest floor and cups your cheeks, your beautiful doe-eyes on him. “Remember the secret I told you?” You nod. “Paul’ll get your car out.” Shifting your eyes to the noise behind Sam, they go wide in shock and awe as you watch a giant wolf lean against the car’s front bumper. Only a slight nudge and it’s back on solid ground. “Wow… That’s… Oh wow, he’s beautiful.” You walk past him towards the wolf with silver fur whose brown eyes look at you mindfully. Sliding a hand into his fur, you chuckle in disbelief. Sam clears his throat, jealousy evidently pouring from him. “Oh my God, Sam… This- this is you? I mean- I mean, you’re like this too?”
You cup the giant wolf’s cheeks and you giggle as you squish them gently. His ears lower in discomfort as his eyes meet that of a jealous Alpha. You straighten your back and look at Sam with a serious expression. “So much for our picnic…” “Where’s Lily?” “I left her at Laura’s house… She doesn’t know why we came to Forks.” Glancing at the car, “wanna lead me to First Beach?”
The two of you sit on a blanket, the sun slightly peeking through the grey clouds up above. The waves softly crash onto the sand. “So why did you want to see me?” You hug your knees and look at him, the breeze playing with your hair. “I… I thought you would be around forever, no matter what. I started taking you for granted. If I could turn back time and change my life, get another chance to make things right… I’d let you know, I want you to stay…” Tears fall at the sweet revelation of his feelings, but you still don’t know what it meant for your family. You lick your lips and sniff, Sam’s bloodshot eyes looking at you regretfully. “In my dreams, we’re still together. Everything is like one big, happy ending. But then I wake up and it’s all gone…” “Sam… I want you to stay, too. But I can’t handle your secrets. I can’t handle the blame you put on me for escaping the life you have with us. I don’t deserve it, Lily doesn’t deserve it.”
He nods and wipes his eyes quickly, never wanting to show his vulnerable side to anyone. He moves his body sideways, closer to yours, taking your hand in his. “I don’t deserve you, but I… I need you. And I know you need me, too. I’m asking for one more try. For our family’s sake. I love you.” “I love you, too.”
The two of you share a chaste kiss, the kind of kiss through which all your emotions are presented. From pain to loneliness to the love between you. The love for each other, for your family, and the future that could be. Sam then explains how losing you caused his wolf to reject Emily completely, something that has never happened in the tribe’s history. “Does that mean that your first marriage…” “It’s annulled. You’re my only wife.” “But I’m not your imprint… What if you find-” His lips quiet your doubts and he smiles, “my wolf only wants you. I only want you.” “Sam…” “I’m so much better with you around. Stay with me.”
Sam leads you back to La Push where you informed Laura to bring Lily. You see the older woman talking to some of the other adults, Lily holding onto her leg in fear. She turns her head at the sound of the familiar engine, her eyes growing big when she sees her father. “Daddy!” She stumbles through grass and dirt, running towards the two of you. Sam hoists her up in a tight hug, tears falling from your eyes once more.
You’re willing to try again. If not for your sake, then your family’s.
