Eukaryotic cell gang!! We love women in STEM.
The organelles of the cells have been translated into human anatomy, so the nucleus is the brain, the vacuole function as the lungs, and the mitochondria is the heart since it’s the… you already know, I don’t have to say it ;)

Talk
I was talking to a native German speaker on Discord when I mentioned something about interviews. She had to look up what that meant in German. I even Googled to help her and gave the German word "Vorstellungsgespräch", which she agreed made sense, but I could also use the word "Bewerbungsgespräch." What's the difference you may ask?
Vorstellungsgespräch - Job Interview
Vorstellungs - "Introduction" Gespräch - "Discussion" An alternative for Vorstellung given to me by Google that I found amusing - "Performance"... Performance Discussion!
Bewerbungsgespräch - Job Interview
Bewerbungs - "Application" Gespräch - "Discussion"
However she suggested also "Application talk," which I don't prefer because it's almost "simplistic" language, maybe even childlike to say "talk." I preferred discussion for apparently a few reasons -
French origin word, thus "formal"
Discussion comes from dissect, because we're "taking apart a subject through conversation.
She apparently learned "discussion" as "Person A is trying to convince person B" - which to me sounds more like a "debate" or a "dispute" or an "argument."
So here's my ass on thesaurus.com going down a rabbit hole seeing all of the synonyms of "Talk" in English...
From a discussion about the word "interview"... We talked about the meanings without argument. Nor consulted with a teacher nor expert, For fear of an earful of a lecture in our dialogue in our discord discourse. What should have been a quick meeting and visit we huddled but saw eye-to-eye. Our symposium, shared in a conclave of two, a Germano-Anglo colloquy. No need for negotiation, our conference had deliberated and I ended our conversation with this confabulation of a palaver here and now. I now end this spiel, thinking of the seminars from which I may create a parlance to speak in which to parley the German and English languages, started from an interlocution of "interview." hmm... So much for Straight talk.
FYI - This is just the synonyms for "talk" as a noun for "discussion"

Best Original and Adapted Screenplays 2023 Oscars
I love the Oscars. No, the Oscars don't represent fan or audience opinions. No shit. This is filmmakers celebrating their own work and success. This is by design. I'm genuinely sick of people getting upset about something that's been true for 95 years. Sorry you're just finding out now. Anyway, sass aside. This is a year of screenplays I'm genuinely fascinated about. I'll leave the full lists at the bottom. This is the first time I've seen sequels get "Adapted' screenplays for being sequels... that's.... weird. Glass Onion and Top Gun: Maverick. I mean fun screenplays but I swear that's a new one on me. And a remake of Ikiru too?! That kinda hurts me.
Other than that I don't have much to say about this category. All Quiet was fine, but nothing to write home about. Don't even know what Women Talking is about so... I'll report back once I've watched all of thee. ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY THO...
I heard about The Banshees of Inisherin through work. Martin McDonagh, the writer, comes from a theater background. I love movies made my theatrical directors and writers. Nearly everything is conveyed through dialogue, and the visual storytelling is just added fluff. And is so often used in interested ways to tell a story. When I realized McDonagh's background I immediately powered up HBO Max and started it up. I really like this movie. So much about the character is conveyed through the acting and dialogue and it's amazing in that way. Two characters sitting around a table or having a pint and talking. I love it so so much. This really taps into my film background. This will no be a movie for everyone since it's an old man movie, but I adore it. Everything Everywhere All at Once kinda came out of nowhere, but the movie very much does with movies what you can't do with other stories with it's visual storytelling. And boy what a ride. Never expected the boys who made Swiss Army Man would be going for an Oscar. It's so awesome and I truly hope they sweep these Oscars. The Fabelmans - Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner coming together to tell an autobiographical movie about Mr Spielberg himself. It's SO RARE to get such a personal story from a truly defining filmmaker. I'm really curious to see where this goes. I haven't enjoyed many of his movies since then, especially Ready Player One and BFG, but this is one that might be a true culmination of his work.
Tár and Triangle of Sadness I only heard about through their nomination. I don't have much to say here - Tár might be worth a watch, sounds very Black Swan. Triangle of Sadness is the one I'm not curious about but I'll still give it a watch.
Best Original Screenplay
The Banshees of Inisherin – Martin McDonagh
Everything Everywhere All at Once – Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert
The Fabelmans – Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner
Tár – Todd Field
Triangle of Sadness – Ruben Östlund
Best Adapted Screenplay
All Quiet on the Western Front – Edward Berger, Lesley Paterson, and Ian Stokell; based on the novel by Erich Maria Remarque
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery – Rian Johnson; based on characters created by Johnson and the film Knives Out
Living – Kazuo Ishiguro; based on the original motion picture screenplay Ikiru by Akira Kurosawa, Shinobu Hashimoto and Hideo Oguni
Top Gun: Maverick – Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie; based on the film Top Gun written by Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr.
Women Talking – Sarah Polley; based on the novel by Miriam Toews

COVID Report
Here's a list of symptoms and my daily experiences with COVID 19
Spoilers: It's not "Just a cough" or "like the common cold".
Day 1 - Saturday - Was driving home and suddenly had a sore throat
Day 2 - Sunday - Congestion, post nasal drip and Sore throat. Gargled listerine and sore throat gone. Rested the whole day. Got out the Tylenol severe sinus and it helped. Sense of smell gone, but chalked it up to congestion. I still had my sense of taste. This was the ONLY day I was fatigued.
Day 3 - Monday - Fever finally hit, there were points where I was wrapped up in blankets with my Dyson heater set to 90 and yet shaking from how cold everything felt. Fever would go away when sinus meds took over. Coughing started, which brought back a sore throat. Discovered lying on stomach with chest raised over head helped to clear lungs. This was the first night I had issues sleeping.
Day 4 - Tuesday - Fever hit highest, unable to really talk or stand without coughing. First time taking a covid test and came up positive. Took nyquil and that solved sleep problems. Coughing left my diaphragm sore so any cough or sneeze felt like a punch against my lower rib - and there was a lot of coughing
Day 5 - Wednesday - Finally lost sense of taste. Fever doing better. Standing or Walking results in sever coughing and gagging.
Day 6 - Thursday - Feel great walking up, showering, could walk and do things without coughing. Randomly got a severe headache midday.
As for other reported symptoms:
No muscle soreness anywhere except for my throat, lungs, or diaphragm due to coughing.
Breathing has felt fine,
Strained and wheezy when sitting in a bad position allowing postnasal drip down my throat.
Very little fatigue, if any.

The Beauty of Japan.
Some positivity after tonight's Twitter news.
And no, I don't think Twitter is actually literally dead (yet), its what the employees are going through.
